Watch: European Company Implanting Electronic Chips in Employees’ Hands

By BBC. Want to gain entry to your office, get on a bus, or perhaps buy a sandwich? We’re all getting used to swiping a card to do all these things. But at Epicenter, a new hi-tech office block in Sweden, they are trying a different approach – a chip under the skin.

Felicio de Costa, whose company is one of the tenants, arrives at the front door and holds his hand against it to gain entry. Inside he does the same thing to get into the office space he rents, and he can also wave his hand to operate the photocopier.

That’s all because he has a tiny RFID (radio-frequency identification) chip, about the size of a grain of rice, implanted in his hand. Soon, others among the 700 people expected to occupy the complex will also be offered the chance to be chipped. Along with access to doors and photocopiers, they’re promised further services in the longer run, including the ability to pay in the cafe with a touch of a hand.

On the day of the building’s official opening, the developer’s chief executive was, himself, chipped live on stage. And I decided that if was to get to grips with this technology, I had to bite the bullet – and get chipped too.

The whole process is being organised by a Swedish bio-hacking group which was profiled by my colleague Jane Wakefield recently. One of its members, a rather fearsome looking tattooist, inserted my chip. (Read more about the company in Sweden implanting electronic chips under their staff’s skin HERE)

Jury Awards $150,000 in ‘Mark of the Beast’ Case

By WND. For the managers of West Virginia’s Consol Energy/Consolidation Coal Company, it was just a technological innovation to improve tracking of employees’ time and attendance, but for Beverly R. Butcher Jr. it was the Bible’s “Mark of the Beast.”

A jury sided this month with the general laborer, awarding him $150,000 in compensatory damages, reported the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram.

Butcher, an evangelical Christian, asserted he had been told he was required to submit to biometric hand scanning, even though he informed his employer in writing it was contrary to “his genuinely held religious beliefs about the relationship between hand-scanning technology and the Mark of the Beast and Antichrist discussed in the Bible.”

Revelation 13:16-17, a passage many Christians see as warning of the future Antichrist, reads: “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” (Read more from this story HERE)

Gallup CEO: I May ‘Suddenly Disappear’ For Telling Truth About Obama Unemployment Rate [+video]

By Pam Martens and Russ Martens. Years of unending news stories on U.S. government programs of surveillance, rendition and torture have apparently chilled the speech of even top business executives in the United States.

Yesterday, Jim Clifton, the Chairman and CEO of Gallup, an iconic U.S. company dating back to 1935, told CNBC that he was worried he might “suddenly disappear” and not make it home that evening if he disputed the accuracy of what the U.S. government is reporting as unemployed Americans.

The CNBC interview came one day after Clifton had penned a gutsy opinion piece on Gallup’s web site, defiantly calling the government’s 5.6 percent unemployment figure “The Big Lie” in the article’s headline. His appearance on CNBC was apparently to walk back the “lie” part of the title and reframe the jobs data as just hopelessly deceptive.

But Another Poll Shows Majority of US Approves of Obama on Unemployment

By Emily Swanson. Americans’ views of President Barack Obama have improved slightly in the past two months, and opinions are more positive about the direction of the country and the health of the economy, an Associated Press-GfK poll finds.

A slim majority now approves of the way Obama is handling unemployment, according to the poll, conducted before Friday’s release of a surprisingly strong jobs report.

Forty-seven percent of those surveyed approve of how Obama is doing his job, compared with 41 percent in December, and 51 percent approve of his handling of unemployment, compared with 44 percent before. (Read more from this story HERE)

NBC News Anchor Told Different Stories About Coming Under Hezbollah Rocket Fire [+video]

By Fox News. “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams could face new questions this week over differing versions of a story he repeatedly told about coming under Hezbollah rocket fire while riding in an Israeli Defense Forces helicopter in 2006, according to a published report.

The Washington Post reported late Sunday that Williams has given differing accounts of how close the rockets came to the helicopter he was riding in over northern Israel.

In a blog post written for NBCNews.com and dated July 18, 2006, Williams said that he was flying “at 1,500 feet” in a Blackhawk helicopter with a high-ranking Israeli general while rockets were being launched by the terror group into northern Israel from southern Lebanon. In the blog, Williams says the helicopter pilot tells him the rockets “landed about 30 seconds ago.” At that point, Williams says, he witnesses a rocket launch, about six miles away.

“A rising trail of smoke, then a second rocket launch, an orange flash and more smoke — as a rocket heads off toward Israel,” Williams says.

However, a month later, Williams made an appearance on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show”, and told host Jon Stewart about “a view of rockets I have never seen, passing underneath us, 1,500 feet beneath us.” There is no such description of the rockets passing underneath the helicopter in Williams’ original blog post. ‘Beyond Science’: Doctor Says She Visited Heaven in Near Death Experience, What She Learned Haunted Her for Years [+video]

Dr. Mary Neal, an orthopedic spine surgeon who describes herself as a “concrete thinker” who isn’t “fanciful” and doesn’t exaggerate, spent a long time trying to explain a seemingly inexplicable event that unfolded back in 1999 following a near-death experience.

After almost drowning during a kayaking accident while on a trip to Chile — and supposedly going without oxygen for 24 minutes — Neal remarkably survived without sustaining any brain damage.

And as if that weren’t miraculous enough, she claims that she visited heaven, interacted with spirits and was warned about her son’s death 10 years before it happened — an experience that left her confused and in awe.

When Neal recovered from her traumatic accident, she said that she found herself on a journey seeking answers, wondering whether she had imagined the entire heavenly ordeal.

“I really needed to figure out what I had experienced. I have gone through the process of coming up with alternative explanations,” the doctor told OWN TV’s “In Deep Shift,” noting that she considered the possibility of dreams and hallucinations. “We always want to find an explanation that we can understand other than something that is divine. I am a very concrete thinker. I’m not fanciful. I don’t exaggerate.” (Read more about the near death experience HERE)

Fox News Guest: Mandating Vaccines Could Lead to ‘Forced Abortions’ [+video]

Photo Credit: Media IteBy Josh Feldman. Fox News guest Jonathan Hoenig said today he absolutely supports vaccinations, but thinks the idea of mandating vaccines is a slippery slope to the government forcing all sorts of medical procedures upon people.

Hoenig is not alone in his concern about mandating vaccines; Rand Paul said this week most vaccines should be voluntary and not government-mandated, while Chris Christie said parents should have “some measure of choice” when it comes to vaccinations.

Hoenig, however, took the argument one step further when he warned about what it could lead to.

Debate Over Vaccinations Creating Alliance Between Liberal Parents and Conservative Republicans

By Nicholas Riccardi. The debate over whether parents should be required to get their children vaccinated against measles has created strange alliances, putting some liberal parents on the same side as Republican conservatives.

While the two parties are not cleanly divided on the issue — various individual Democrats and Republicans stand on either side — in the nation’s state legislatures, it is increasingly the GOP that resists efforts to stiffen requirements on vaccinating kids.

In Maine, Republicans are objecting to an effort to make it harder to avoid vaccinating children. Last year in Colorado, it was largely Republicans who squashed an effort to make it harder for mothers and fathers to choose not to inoculate their children.

“This boils down to, does the government force everyone to conform or do we empower everyone to make decisions on their own?” said Colorado state Sen. Kevin Lundberg, a Republican who did not fully vaccinate his children and led the fight against last year’s bill.

This year, Colorado Republicans introduced a bill stating that parents have the right to make all medical decisions for their children, legislation that was cheered by vaccination opponents Thursday at a hearing. (Read more from this story HERE)

Watch: Abortion Activist’s Horrible Reaction When He Sees Students With Pro-Life Signs

Photo Credit: Facebook By Life News. On February 4, 2015, Created Equal’s young pro-life demonstrators were attacked outside Beechcroft High School. Video of the incident reveals a homeowner crossing the street to berate the activists before stealing, destroying their signs.

The homeowner crossed the street to the public sidewalk outside the school where Created Equal had set up. He shouted, “Get ‘em out of here or I am going to break ‘em.” He proceeded to knock over and steal signs, wrenching them out of the hands of Jami Beer, Created Equal’s Director of Campus Outreach . . .

The homeowner took the corrugated plastic signs across the street and broke them before throwing them into the street in front of traffic.

Pro-Life Group Starting Campaign to Protest Congress

By Kellan Howell. On the heels of the annual March for Life in Washington, a group of pro-life activists are seeking to enlist thousands of Americans in a massive mail protest to Congress.

Organizers of Life Envelope Day, previously called Red Envelope Day, plan to flood the congressional post office with millions of empty red envelopes representing aborted children on March 22, 60 days after the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that made it legal for women to have abortions in the U.S.

“Electronic petitions work but they are not as impressive as what we do with physical mail,” said Rich Lepoutre, one of the organizers behind the event.

The organizers have created a Web site called www.lifeenvelopeday.com for Americans to get the materials they need to push their message to Congress. (Read more from this story HERE)

Children Were Hunted Down and Killed Trying to Escape ‘Rape Dungeon’ in Florida [+video]

Photo Credit: Latest Researchers have released chilling details about a Florida reform school for boys this week, including evidence of ‘rape dungeons’ that were used to abuse and murder children, the Daily News reports.

Anthropologists from the University of South Florida are beginning to uncover the disturbing stories of children who were abused and murdered at Arthur G. Dozier School in Marianna. The researchers have found the remains of 51 individuals, along with other materials, such as syringes, drug bottles and even a water cooler holding a dead dog buried in the cemetery next to the school.

In an attempt to uncover as much of the story as possible, university researchers are going through old records, newspaper articles and interviewing families to try to piece together the school’s painful past . . .

Researchers say the school did not report every death that occurred and did not submit death certificates in many cases. In their interviews with former inmates and school employees, they also learned of the ‘rape dungeon’ where young boys were sexually assaulted by those charged to care for them.

Some of the boys were murdered after they tried to escape the school. Robert Hewitt escaped in 1960 and hid in his family’s house near the school. Relatives came home one day to find the boy had been shot dead with his father’s shotgun, which was lying across his body. (Read more about the uncovered ‘rape dungeon’ HERE)

‘They Can Rot in Hell’: Arkansas Senator Says Send More Terrorists to Guantanamo Bay [+videos]

By Fox News Insider. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) made some impassioned remarks about Guantanamo Bay at today’s Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.

Cotton, an Iraq War veteran, pushed back against the idea that leaving the prison open is a recruitment tool for terrorists around the world.

He argued that the prison did not exist when terrorists attacked the USS Cole in 2000 and then struck on 9/11.

“In my opinion, the only problem with Guantanamo Bay is that there are too many empty beds and cells there right now. We should be sending more terrorists there for further interrogation to keep this country safe. As far as I’m concerned, every last one of them can rot in hell. But as long as they don’t do that, they can rot in Guantanamo Bay,” said Cotton, during an exchange with Brian P. McKeon, Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. Governor Bobby Jindal: Muslim Leaders Have Responsibility to Say Terrorists are ‘Going Straight to Hell’

By Lauretta Brown. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R) told a gathering in Washington on Thursday that Muslim leaders have a responsibility to say that terrorists are “going straight to hell.”

“Individual Muslim leaders have a responsibility,” said Jindal, “to denounce not just the acts of violence but these individuals, to say they are not going to enjoy a reward in the afterlife, but rather they’re going straight to Hell for these awful, barbaric acts they continue to commit–killing school children, killing teenagers who are watching soccer, burning a man alive, killing cartoonists because they don’t like their products.”

Speaking at the American Principles Project (APP) State Lunch, Jindal also said the leaders of the Western world “have a responsibility to insist on assimilation and integration for those that want to come and live in our societies. (Read more from this story HERE)

“Bomb” Dropped By Army Chopper Recovered In Miami-Dade [+video]

Photo Credit: US Army Miami-Dade Police said an ammunition box that had fallen out of a helicopter was found Friday.

“It was just loud. I guess it was because it was right overhead,” Megan Fallman said of the U.S. Army helicopters over her home along the Miami-Dade/Broward line Wednesday night. “They came right overhead.”

The Blackhawk helicopters were participating in war games, what the Army called routine, low altitude training. But the routine was broken when one of the choppers dropped a bomb-like ammunitions container overboard in Northwest Miami-Dade.

The silver ammo tin and its contents were recovered Thursday. Miami-Dade police would only say the container and ammunition were retrieved safely somewhere in Northwest Miami-Dade, and that it did not strike anyone’s home . . .

“I think they need to be more careful,” said Bruce Levine of Pembroke Pines where much of the airborne exercise was conducted. “People’s lives are at stake when you make these mistakes and it’s very dangerous.” (Read more about the army chopper dropping the ammunition box HERE)

National Prayer Breakfast: Rev. Obama Wright Says Christians Were Just as Bad as ISIS (+video)

Photo Credit: CNS News By Susan Jones. Professions of faith can be used both as instruments of great good but also twisted and misused in the name of evil,” President Obama told the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday, in a speech that drew light smatterings of applause.

He reminded the faithful that just as some people “profess to stand up for Islam but in fact are betraying it,” so people have “committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.”

The president discussed the various ways that faith is used for the common good, but also how it is “used as a wedge or weapon.”

He mentioned the Taliban attack on a school in Pakistan and the terror attacks in Paris. He also mentioned ISIL by name, describing it as a “brutal, vicious death cult that, in the name of religion, carries out unspeakable acts of barbarism.” (Read more about Obama’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast HERE)

Obama Calls Dalai Lama ‘Good Friend’ at National Prayer Breakfast

By Jeff Mason. U.S. President Barack Obama warmly acknowledged the Dalai Lama but did not meet directly with him at a religious event in Washington closely watched by Beijing, which has warned against any exchange with Tibet’s exiled spiritual leader.

Obama, who greeted the Buddhist monk with a bow-like gesture, called him “a good friend” and “a powerful example of what it means to practice compassion and who inspires us to speak up for the freedom and dignity of all human beings.”

Both figures were at an annual prayer breakfast in Washington where Obama spoke about the importance of religious freedom. The Dalai Lama was in the audience at a table in the front row across from the president along with senior Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, a signal of White House support.

Obama nodded and smiled at the Dalai Lama, waving after clasping his hands to greet the spiritual leader as the event began. Organizers also recognized the monk, prompting applause. (Read more from this story HERE)
