Court Orders Removal of Virgin Mary Statue

A French court ordered on Friday the removal of a statue of the Virgin Mary from a small town on the grounds that its display violates the separation of church and state.

The court’s order ended four decades of the statue’s display at a crossroads in La Flotte, France, a town of about 2,800 people, according to Agence France Presse (AFP). A local family originally erected the statue after World War II in gratitude for a father and son’s safe return from the war, the outlet reported. A private garden first housed the statue, until the family gifted it to the town and saw its placement at the crossroads in 1983.

The statue sustained damage after it was struck by a passing car in 2020, the outlet noted. Its restoration included the addition of a platform, a move which drew the attention of of an organization that advocates for the defense of secularity. Emails reviewed and verified by Fox News Digital show the younger Biden listed his father’s Wilmington, Delaware, address as his own permanent residence for his credit card and Apple account in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Separately, New York Post reporter Miranda Devine, author of the book “Laptop From Hell,” shared a Twitter post showing a background screening document in which Hunter Biden also listed his father’s Delaware address as his own. State Poised to Ban Christians, Muslims, and Jews From Teaching in Public Schools

from teaching in public schools by requiring that every state-certified teacher “fosters an environment that ensures student identities such as … gender identity … are … affirmed.” Once the new requirements clear a final procedural hurdle, they will be immediately challenged in state and possibly federal court, a civil liberties lawyer told The Federalist on Tuesday.

“We have lots of parents who are upset by this sort of thing in schools already,” said Doug Seaton, president of Minnesota’s Upper Midwest Law Center, in an interview. “They’re going to be even more upset with how their teachers are going to be licensed. Their teachers are going to have to be faced with hiding their beliefs or getting denied [for a state teaching license].”

Seaton said it was accurate to describe the nearly finalized regulations as communicating: “Christians, Muslims, and Jews need not apply for Minnesota teaching jobs.” That is unconstitutional, he said, so UMLC plans to sue once the changes go into effect.

The state agency that composed the changes disputed they would effectively ban religious Americans from teaching in Minnesota schools through a spokeswoman on Wednesday. The spokeswoman did not respond to a follow-up asking how Christians, Jews, and Muslims could adhere to their faith while complying with the licensing requirements that all new teachers publicly reject their faiths’ declaration that God has created only two sexes, male and female. Here’s What Secretary Austin Said When He Officially Rescinded the DoD’s Vaccine Mandate

The Department of Defense officially rescinded its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for service members on Tuesday as announced in a memo from Secretary Lloyd Austin.

Saying he is “deeply proud of the Department’s work to combat the coronavirus disease,” Secretary Austin claimed his leadership on COVID response “improved the health of our Service members and the readiness of the Force.” How’s that for some selective memory?

Austin remained in support of the vaccine mandate even as it was legislated away in the most recent NDAA. And, as then-GOP Leader (now Speaker) McCarthy noted at the time, the Army and Navy “missed their 2022 recruitment goals by thousands of service members” while “the Defense Department discharged 3,300 Marines, 1,800 soldiers, 1,800 sailors, and 900 airmen simply based on their personal decision to not take the COVID vaccine.”

That doesn’t sound like an improvement to the “readiness of the force” as Austin claimed in his memo that rescinded an August 2021 memo mandating members of the Armed Forces be vaccinated against COVID-19 as well as the November 2021 memo pertaining to the vaccination of National Guard and Reserve personnel.

9-Year-Old Makes Incredible Christmas Discovery on Beach

A nine-year-old girl found a massive megalodon shark tooth on a beach in Maryland, on Christmas Day.

Molly Sampson visited Calvert Beach in Maryland with her family on Dec. 25, informing her mother that she was “looking for a meg,” according to the BBC. Megalodons grew to a length of around 50 feet and have been [supposedly] extinct for some 2.6 million years, Science Daily reported.

Sampson reportedly waded out into the freezing cold waters until she was knee-deep and found exactly what she was looking for.

By Daily Mail. Republicans on Tuesday demanded to know why the fact President Joe Biden had classified documents from when he was vice president at his think tank wasn’t revealed until after the midterm elections with one calling it a ‘cover up.’

‘When you cover up something before an election,’ Republican Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska told reporters on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning ‘that is probably a point that needs to be highlighted.’ . . .

The White House announced late Monday that Biden’s lawyers discovered 10 classified documents in his former office at a Washington think tank on November 2.

That was six days before the midterm election, where Republicans won control of the House but not by the landslide many had predicted.

The announcement of such a discovery likely would have a been a political explosion in the election akin to the FBI announcing in 2016, eleven days before the election, the discovery of additional Hillary Clinton emails. Marjorie Taylor Greene: Impeach Joe Biden for Mishandling Classified Documents, ‘Vice Presidents Cannot Declassify Docs’

By Breitbart. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said President Joe Biden should be impeached for mishandling classified documents reportedly related to Ukraine and Iran dated between 2013 and 2016.

Greene explained the stark difference in Biden’s mishandling of documents compared to the alleged claim that former President Donald Trump safely stored documents at Mar-a-Lago.

“This is a very serious situation. Vice presidents cannot declassify documents. And the fact that Joe Biden is in possession of classified documents when he was vice president, signals we need to have a serious investigation into this,” Greene told C-Span.

“There is a true two tier justice system stemming from the department of justice in the way President Trump has been treated — who is allowed to classify and declassify documents. Presidents can do that,” she said.

Dress Code Pondered in Light of Trans Teacher’s Disgusting Attire; Tucker Carlson Hammers the Insanity

Kerry Lemieux is free to skydive with Z-cup plastic breasts in 2023, but will the Halton District School Board’s decision to create a dress code prevent the trans shop teacher from wearing the controversial attire that has put [him] in the spotlight.

In a major reversal that could possibly prevent Lemieux from wearing giant prosthetic breasts, the HDSB on Jan. 3 directed staff to develop a “professional standards of dress” policy.

Since September, Lemieux has taught at Oakville Trafalgar High School, wearing extra-large, retail-purchased breasts with artificial nipples under a tight top, along with flex shorts and a blonde wig. While many students and parents have expressed concern this actually mocks women and makes a mockery of the education experience, the board has supported the teacher’s right to dress in this manner. . .

“Be it resolved that the Director (of Education Curtis Ennis) develop a professionalism policy which outlines the HDSB’s expectations of all staff members, including the requirement to maintain appropriate and professional standards of dress and decorum in the classroom,” said the unanimous motion.

This report is expected to be completed by next month. Until then, Lemieux is free to dress as [he] has been seen in videos and pictures from inside the classroom, hallways, skydiving or more recently walking with a cast boot on a foot that suffered an unknown injury. While the instructor was seen teaching in several other HDSB schools in December, there was no sighting on Monday, the first day students returned to class after the Christmas holidays. New Study: This Food Lowers Both Blood Pressure and Cholesterol!

Consuming raw honey from a single floral source may improve blood sugar control and lower cholesterol levels when taken within the context of a healthy diet, according to a recent study published in Nutrition Reviews.

“These results are surprising because honey is about 80% sugar,” said Tauseef Khan, a senior researcher on the study and a research associate in nutritional sciences at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, in a press release. . .

“Honey is a complex composition of sugars (common and rare), organic acids, enzymes, proteins, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and bioactive substances made by honeybees from the nectar of flowers,” the study’s authors noted.

Honey and sugar are both carbohydrates. This means they’re made of glucose and fructose, but each has different nutrient, texture and flavor profiles, Emma Laing, PhD, RDN, told Fox News Digital. . .

Researchers from Toronto conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of 18 clinical trials that included over 1,100 participants to determine the effect of honey on heart and metabolic risk factors, per the study’s press release. Parents Say Their Kids Were Brainwashed at School, Seek Deprogrammers

Beth Pensky, a 54-year-old single mother from New Jersey who now lives in Florida, never tells anyone that she’s estranged from her only son and daughter.

“I lie all the time,” said Pensky, who told The Post her kids have rejected her because they’re “woke” and she is not. “I can’t tell anyone I don’t have a relationship with them. I had so much shame about it. It looks awful for me and makes me feel terrible so I lie.”

But her attitude changed when she — and a number of other mothers — read a Post story in November about Annabella Rockwell, a graduate of Mt. Holyoke College who claimed she’d been “totally indoctrinated” into hard-left ideologies at the school and had to be deprogrammed.

“I saw Annabella’s story and my life turned upside down,” Pensky said. “I realized I wasn’t alone and I saw what happened to her was similar to what I think happened to my kids. I never even considered trying to find a deprogrammer. I didn’t know they existed. But I think it’s too late for me and my kids. They won’t even talk to me.” . . .

“The emotional stress is unbelievable,” said the mother, who did not want to be publicly identified. “I consider myself a Democrat and a liberal but it doesn’t matter. I’ve had fights with some of my girls just because I wouldn’t get myself a Rainbow pride Starbucks cup. The cup itself became this huge battleground. Donalds Reveals What He Got in Exchange for Backing McCarthy for Speaker

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., revealed on Sunday that he is being placed on the House Republican Steering Committee in exchange for supporting Kevin McCarthy for House Speaker.

Donalds revealed the new appointment during a Sunday appearance on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

His appearance followed an epic 15-ballot election for McCarthy to become House speaker. To become speaker, McCarthy had to make concessions to a small group of hardliners who refused to support him until he yielded to their demands.

“I’m frankly just happy that it’s all over with, and that we got something transformational and sound for the American people,” Donalds said.

The committee’s purpose is to assign fellow Republicans to other House committees.
