Gov. Ron DeSantis Sworn in With ‘the Bible of the Revolution’

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was sworn in for a second term Tuesday as the 46th governor of the Sunshine State using the Bible of the Revolution, which the Founding Fathers in the U.S. Congress endorsed over 240 years ago.

DeSantis took the oath of office on the steps of the state Capitol building in Tallahassee alongside his wife, Casey, and their three children, with his hand to the Aitken Bible from 1782.

The Bible came from the American Journey Experience, which the nationally syndicated radio host and co-founder of Blaze Media, Glenn Beck, founded two years ago as a state-of-the-art museum and research library to learn the history of the United States. Franklin Graham Laments War, Violence, Socialism in New Year’s Message; Says Anti-God Agenda will Get Worse

Rev. Franklin Graham said Saturday the world appeared to be in a dire situation as another year dawned but advised fellow Christians on how to move forward.

“As we begin 2023, the world we live in seems to be imploding. A brutal war is bringing suffering and death in Ukraine with every day that passes,” he wrote in a social media post:

“Senseless violence is rampant across the United States. Anti-God agendas that once hid in the darkness are now proudly out in the open, demanding acceptance,” he stated.

“Developed nations are being overtaken by socialism, removing God from anything and everything in the public square. And if you think things are bad, just wait — they’ll get worse,” Graham explained.

Franklin Graham Hammered Homosexual Agenda in 2022

Throughout 2022, Graham frequently made headlines for weighing in on current events and political issues that were at odds with Christian doctrine and religious liberty. For example, the Christian leader derided the so-called Respect for Marriage Act, billed by supporters as a necessary step to codify the right to same-sex marriage into federal law, as “dangerous legislation that would be used against individuals, churches and organizations who honor traditional marriage.”

While the legislation included a religious liberty amendment, critics contended that it did not go far enough to protect the conscience rights of faith-based business owners operating in secular industries such as bakers and florists. Both the U.S. Senate and House passed the Respect for Marriage Act with unanimous Democratic support and a significant level of support from congressional Republicans before President Joe Biden signed it into law.

Graham also took issue with singer Amy Grant’s decision to host a same-sex wedding for her niece at her farm. While Grant characterized her embrace of a same-sex wedding as an example of obedience to God’s call to “love God and love each other,” Graham stressed that “For me, loving others also means caring about their souls and where they will spend eternity.”

However, Graham contended that “God defines what is sin, not us; and His Word is clear that homosexuality is sin.”

While Graham mentioned a few of the challenges of 2022, one of the highlights for him came in the form of a legal victory after a judge ruled that a Scottish event venue must pay over $100,000 in damages after canceling an event hosted by the evangelist due to his views on homosexuality and Islam. Poll: Almost Half of Adults Believe COVID-19 Vaccines May Have Caused ‘Unexplained’ Deaths; NFL Player in Critical Condition After Collapsing on Field, Receiving CPR in Chilling Scene

By Daily Caller. Almost half of US adults believe side effects from the COVID-19 vaccines may have caused “unexplained” deaths, according to a Rasmussen poll released Monday.

The survey polled 1,000 American adults via telephone or online over the period of Dec. 28 to Dec. 30, with a margin of error of +/- 3%.

Nearly half of Americans, 48%, said there are genuine reasons to be concerned about vaccine efficacy, while 37% said people who are concerned are spreading conspiracy theories.

More than a quarter (28%) of Americans polled said they personally knew someone whose death may have been caused by side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine, with 61% saying they did not know anyone and 10% saying they weren’t sure if they did.

NFL Player in Critical Condition After Collapsing on Field, Receiving CPR in Chilling Scene

By New York Post. Bills safety Damar Hamlin was administered CPR and transported to a hospital after he collapsed on the field after making a tackle during the team’s game against the Bengals on “Monday Night Football.”

The game was temporarily suspended and both teams went to the locker room. . .

“Hamlin received immediate attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics,” the NFL said in a statement. “He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.” . . .

According to ESPN’s broadcast, medical officials administered CPR to Hamlin. He was put on a stretcher and given an IV while surrounded by emotional players from both teams. He also received oxygen in the ambulance as he was taken off the field. He was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Five Radical, Woke California Laws Just Went Into Effect

It’s January 1, which means five more woke laws in California go into effect, making the state even more progressive than it was. . .

The first law, which was signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) in September, is SB 107, which makes California a “sanctuary state” for transgender kids.

It will protect the use of drugs or surgery to provide “gender-affirming care” to kids who travel to California from states that have restricted allowing minors to receive the life-alternating surgery.

SB 1375 will allow nurses to perform abortions without the help of a medical license doctor, which was passed alongside a referendum guaranteeing the right to abortion and contraception. . .

The Laughable Pivot Some in the Media Are Taking Over Trump’s Tax Returns

. . .The liberal obsession with Trump’s tax returns did lead to media leaks. The New York Times and other outlets obtained past returns, with the Times proceeding to write lengthy exposes that no one read. It also found no ties to Russia, which further torched the collusion delusion that engulfed progressive America.

Now, with no evidence of felonious activity, the Times is pivoting to say that the latest trove of returns, the big reveal, showed that the former president’s business prowess isn’t what was advertised (via NYT):

House Democrats released six years of former President Donald J. Trump’s tax records on Friday, offering new insight into his business dealings that further undermined his long-cultivated image as a wildly successful businessman.

The release on Friday morning contained thousands of pages of tax documents, including individual returns for Mr. Trump and his wife, Melania, as well as business returns for several of the hundreds of companies that make up his sprawling business organization. It followed the release of reports from Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee that showed Mr. Trump had paid a total of $1.1 million in federal income taxes in the first three years of his presidency, but paid no tax in 2020 as his income dwindled and losses mounted.

The document disclosure drew rebukes and threats of retaliation from Mr. Trump and his Republican allies in Congress, who suggested that once their party takes over the House on Jan. 3, they may seek to disclose tax returns filed by Democratic politicians, Supreme Court justices and members of President Biden’s family, such as his son Hunter.

This Suddenly Popular Trend Is Too ‘Satanic’ Even for Church of Satan

Although today’s widespread transgender recruitment craze targeting schoolchildren is enthusiastically supported by America’s governmental, academic and cultural elites, many conservatives and Christians condemn the movement as “satanic.”

Indeed, considering the irreversible bodily mutilations and “shockingly high” suicide rate, the “satanic” label isn’t surprising, with columnist and podcaster Jason Whitlock telling Tucker Carlson, “All of this, to me, is satanic – the targeting of young people and children that are very impressionable at a very early age.” Echoes author and talk-host Candace Owens, “When I look at the face of this trans movement, and this trans agenda, and confusing kids … when I see that, I think this is actually satanic.” Even Rev. Franklin Graham decries the reality that “Students are being encouraged and groomed by older students to change their sexual identity,” adding, “Satan, the evil one, is a deceiver and brings chaos, disorder, and confusion. It is not a happy lifestyle when you reject God’s original design.” . . .

It must be, because the transgender grooming craze, from its “drag queen story hours” for toddlers, to the systematic sexualization of public school students, to the explicit encouragement of preteens and teens too young to drive to “identify” as transgender and have healthy body parts amputated – all regarded by many as serious forms of child sexual abuse – appears to be too satanic even for the Church of Satan.

At least, that’s according to the organization’s official tenets as formulated and published by Anton Szandor LaVey, who founded the Church of Satan in 1966 and remained its high priest until his death in 1997. Twitter to Close Office Amid Elon Musk’s Cost Cutting: Reports

Twitter is closing its Seattle offices and asking employees there to work from home amid Elon Musk’s efforts to cut back on costs after purchasing the company for $44 billion.

The company has stopped paying rent at its Seattle office, according to the New York Times, leading its staff to face eviction. Twitter employees were informed of the changes via email, according to Platformer, and encouraged to work from home for the time being.

The Longest Witch Hunt Goes on… Democrats Release Trump’s Tax Returns Before Losing Power; Trump Reacts

Democrats in control of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee released six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns on Friday, an unprecedented intrusion that revealed nothing in particular.

The release marked the first time Congress had ever obtained and published the tax returns of any individual.

The six years of newly-released returns, covering the years 2015 through 2020, show that Trump paid a total of $4.4 million in federal income taxes over that period, with an adjusted gross income of -$53.2 million. “The Trumps paid some form of federal taxes every year, but they reported income-tax liability of $750 or less in three of the six years,” the Wall Street Journal noted. Democrats point to some potential problems. They claim that Trump’s tax returns as president were not properly audited by the IRS (a claim the IRS disputes). They also complained about charitable deductions and whether loans to his children should have been taxed as income. . .

However, there appeared to be few bombshells. In a statement on Truth Social, his social media platform, the former president said the returns showed “how proudly successful I have been” and warned that “the Democrats should never have done it.”

Republicans echoed the latter sentiment, saying the release of the tax returns seemed to have a purely political motive, and opened the door for Republicans to do the same in future. Ray Epps Told Nephew He ‘Orchestrated’ January 6

Ray Epps, a mysterious January 6 figure some theorized to be a federal informant, told his nephew that he “orchestrated” what transpired that day in 2021.

The bombastic assertion was revealed in a lightly redacted transcript released Thursday by the House January 6 Committee. Claiming he made a poor choice of words to his nephew, Epps insisted to congressional investigators his actions had nothing to do with inciting the Capitol riot and, to the contrary, he was trying to stop the onset of violence. Epps, who is seen in video clips encouraging people to march into the Capitol, also flatly denied he was acting on behalf of any government agency while in Washington, D.C.

His nephew, 28-year-old Dalin, texted Epps on the morning of January 6, saying, “You and Jim be safe.” Jim is Epps’ son, who was also in the nation’s capital. Hours later, at 2:12 p.m., as the violence at the Capitol was getting underway, Epps responded with a brag. “I was in the front with a few others. I also orchestrated it,” he said.

Investigators pressed Epps to explain his wording.

Teacher: Students Call Me ‘Dirty’ Because I Am White and Christian

A teacher in a Swedish school located in a no-go suburb of the city of Stockholm has claimed that students call her “dirty” for being white and Christian.

The teacher, who is in her 60s, has worked in a school in the Stockholm suburb of Järva for years and stated that she receives regular harassment and insults from students and that some parents even show up to development meetings wearing bulletproof vests due to the prevalence of gun violence in the area.

“I’ve considered wearing a protective vest. Everyone else has it. Even the parents, they come to the development talks in the vest. It’s not weird, the stop at school is just one of many for them,” the teacher told the newspaper Expressen.

The teacher, who claimed her colleagues all deal with the same issues, said students often call her “dirty” saying, “At school, the students say I’m dirty.
