Supreme Hypocrisy: The Left’s Intense Attempt to Silence Conservatives Has a New Target

By Washington Examiner. Nowhere is the Left’s effort to silence conservatives more intense than in its demand that conservative (and therefore constitutionalist) judges recuse themselves from cases that might check America’s cultural revolution.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett faces calls to stay out of a Dec. 5 Supreme Court case in which a Colorado website designer, Lorie Smith, is defending her right to run her business without being forced to make websites for same-sex weddings. She believes marriage is the sacramental union of a man and a woman and argues that she should not be obliged to suggest otherwise.

There are plenty of designers who don’t share Smith’s views who would be delighted to take the business if it were offered to them. No one would be left without a wedding website if activists left Smith in peace. But the point of their hounding her is to make commercial enterprise impossible and life unpleasant for traditional Christians. It is simple religious persecution.

All of us should reject the banning of people from full participation in our society and economy for failing to toe the line of fashionable opinion. If someone’s views are generally regarded as odious, they’ll be shunned. Society will vote with its feet and its pocketbooks. But the Left wields the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act against Christians as its drafters intended, like medieval European tyrants who marginalized Jews by banning them from owning land. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett Faces Calls to Recuse Herself From LGBTQ Case Over Christian Faith

By Fox News. Supreme Court Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett is facing calls to recuse herself due to her Christian faith from an upcoming case involving a web designer’s handling of wedding websites for LGBTQ clients.

Former members of People of Praise, a network of lay Christian communities founded in 1971 in South Bend, Indiana, spoke to The Guardian arguing that Barrett should recuse herself from the case of 303 Creative LLC v. Aubrey Elenis. The Supreme Court will begin hearing oral arguments on Dec. 5.

Barrett, a devout Catholic, has not spoken publicly about her affiliation with the secretive faith group People of Praise, which considers her a member. Conservatives argued that Barrett’s faith was wrongfully weaponized during her 2020 confirmation hearings, when the Trump appointee told senators her personal religious beliefs would not interfere with her abilities to be an unbiased judge.

Nevertheless, the justice’s affiliation with the group is being brought up again.

“I don’t believe that someone in her position, who is a member of this group, could put those biases aside, especially in a decision like the one coming up,” Maura Sullivan, a 46-year-old raised in a People of Praise community, told The Guardian. Sullivan, who identified as bisexual, said she came out at 19 and her parents cut her off and prevented her from spending time alone with a younger sister. They have since rekindled their relationship after the parents left the People of Praise community. Elon Musk Tweeted a Meme About CNN…then They Melted Down

Elon Musk received an official response from CNN on Monday after posting a meme pocking fun at the channel’s hyperventilating coverage of his ownership of Twitter.

The meme was a clearly photoshopped picture of a “report” that read, “CNN: Elon Musk could threaten free speech on Twitter by literally allowing people to speak freely.” The picture featured a screen capture of anchor Don Lemon.

CNN’s official public relation account responded to Musk’s tweet with, “This headline never appeared on CNN. Be better.”

Disturbing: Woke Sermon About ‘Trans’ Jesus Leaves Churchgoers in Tears

A dean at the University of Cambridge in the U.K. came to the defense of a junior research fellow whose sermon last Sunday about Jesus Christ having a “trans body” reportedly left outraged congregants “in tears.”

Dr. Michael Banner, the dean of Trinity College, said Joshua Heath raised “legitimate” speculation in his Evensong sermon, during which the researcher claimed from the pulpit of Trinity College chapel that non-erotic portrayals of Jesus’ penis in historical paintings “urge a welcoming rather than hostile response towards the raised voices of trans people,” according to The Daily Telegraph.

“In Christ’s simultaneously masculine and feminine body in these works, if the body of Christ as these works suggest the body of all bodies, then his body is also the trans body,” Heath said.

Heath, whose PhD in theology was supervised by the former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, also claimed that in one of the Medieval paintings he displayed to the congregation, the spear wound in Jesus’ side “takes on a decidedly vaginal appearance.” In another, he pointed out how the blood from his side flows to his groin.

Heath’s homily during the traditional Anglican service left many in attendance, including children, “visibly uncomfortable,” according to an anonymous congregant who fired off a complaint letter to Banner. ‘All-Knowing’ Fauci’s Memory Suddenly Vanishes When He Has to Testify; Fauci Emailed Friend Saying Masks Were ‘Ineffective’

By New York Post. Fauci was deposed on Wednesday by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry. Landry labeled Fauci the “man who single-handedly wrecked the US economy based upon ‘the science, follow the science.’” But “over the course of seven hours, we discovered that he can’t recall practically anything dealing with his COVID response,” Landry said. . .

How many lies did Fauci tell on Wednesday? The transcript has not been released, but a few “pants on fire” snippets have come out. After Fauci championed lockdowns to vanquish COVID, top scientists from Oxford, Stanford and Harvard in October 2020 issued the Great Barrington Declaration, which argued that “focused protection” for high-risk groups (such as the elderly) was vastly preferable to shutting down society.

When asked about his role in assailing that Declaration, Fauci declared, “I have a very busy day job running a $6 billion institute. I don’t have time to worry about things like the Great Barrington Declaration.” But less than two weeks after the Declaration’s release, Fauci emailed Deborah Birx, the White House COVID chief, “I have come out very strongly publicly against the Great Barrington Declaration.” Fauci did multiple media interviews castigating any suggestion that lockdowns were unnecessary to save America.

Fauci apparently sees himself as part of a caste of politically favored scientists entitled to rule Americans’ lives. Schmitt tweeted that Fauci declared during the deposition that “the rest of us ‘don’t have the ability’ to determine what’s best for ourselves.”

Fauci has consistently behaved as if federal health officials deserve unchallengeable dictatorial powers. When a federal judge in April struck down the Biden administration mask mandate for airplane travelers, Fauci caterwauled, “This is a CDC issue, it should not have been a court issue.” Fauci neglected to reveal the secret provision of the Constitution that entitles political appointees to nullify the rest of the nation’s founding document. Fauci Emailed Friend Saying Masks Were ‘Ineffective,’ Pushed for Mandates Anyway, Missouri AG Says

By Fox News. Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said Friday that during his seven-hour deposition with Dr. Anthony Fauci, new information revealed that two months after Fauci told a friend masks were “ineffective,” he supported mask mandates.

On Friday, the Show-Me State Republican attorney general tweeted a “tidbit” from his deposition with the outgoing head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases:

“Another tidbit from Fauci depo: In Feb ‘20 he emailed a friend advising her masks were ineffective. Confirmed again on Mar 31. On Apr 3 he’s adamant masks should be worn even though he couldn’t cite a single study to prove it. Mandates followed—Lives ruined.”

“COVID tyranny is born,” Schmitt continued.

Biden’s Odd and Confusing Phone Call Into Thanksgiving Parade Sparks Concern

By Townhall. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden’s Thanksgiving holiday got off to a rough start when they called into the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade confused how the phone works.

Within the first 20 seconds of speaking to NBC’s Dylan Dreyer, Biden struggled to hear the reporter on the other line. . .

When the two eventually connected, the Biden’s talked about how they made their yearly trek up to Nantucket, Massachusets to meet with first responders.

As always, no appearance would be made without Biden getting icecream, however, he instead pardoned two turkeys named after his favorite flavor: Chocolate and Chip.

Twitter erupted in a fit of laughs after the president struggled to get on the line with Dreyer.

White House Releases Thanksgiving Dinner Talking Points

By Washington Examiner. The White House is seeking to tout its agenda accomplishments from the past year by releasing a list of “talking points” people can use to discuss politics during Thanksgiving dinner.

“One last item for your Thanksgiving dinner: some talking points when ‘that Uncle’ comes ‘at you’ about [President Joe Biden],” White House chief of staff Ron Klain tweeted.

The list of talking points includes a slew of policy and legislative wins by the Biden administration and Democratic lawmakers, including measures on infrastructure and lower prescription costs that were signed by the president earlier this year. The list also touts the White House’s efforts to tackle inflation, noting gas prices are down $1.35 per gallon since June and that inflation has petered out over the last few months.

National average gas prices sit at $3.61 per gallon as of Wednesday, down from the $5.01 average recorded on June 14 — the highest average price recorded by AAA. Meanwhile, inflation rates came in lower than expected for the month of October as consumer prices rose 7.7%, down from the 8.2% recorded the month before, according to the consumer price index. Elon Musk Discovered a Closet Full of T-Shirts at Twitter HQ. Here’s What They Said. (VIDEO)

. . .On Tuesday night, Musk stumbled upon quite the find in a closet at Twitter HQ and, while it’s not literal skeletons, the find does help explain part of what was wrong with the ideological homogeneity of Twitter’s corporate culture that favored leftists and castigated conservatives for years.

In a video posted to Twiter, Musk can be heard explaining “Here we are at the merch, and there’s an entire closet full of #woke t-shirts” while he pans around the closet showing shelves full of t-shirts emblazoned with “#StayWoke.”

The woke Twitter tees were seemingly forgotten leftovers from the pre-Musk era at the company, and the message behind them was explained by the platform’s co-founder Jack Dorsey at a tech conference in June 2016.

When asked about the #staywoke slogan, Dorsey explained that his interpretation is “really being aware, and staying aware, and keep questioning. Being awake, and eyes wide open around what’s happening in the world,” Dorsey continued. “We saw that in Ferguson,” Dorsey said. And there it is. The ‘Respect for Marriage Act’ Is an Exercise in Tyranny, and Everyone Knows It

It’s not hard to game out what happens if the misnamed Respect for Marriage Act passes, codifying Obergefell and enshrining gay marriage in federal law. Everyone, including the dozen Republican senators who voted to advance the legislation last week, knows exactly what will happen. It’s not some big mystery.

What will happen is this: Christians, Jews, Muslims, and anyone else who dares maintain that marriage is a lifelong conjugal union between one man and one woman — the definition of marriage for thousands of years until the U.S. Supreme Court descended from Mount Sinai with Obergefell v. Hodges inscribed on stone tablets — will be branded a bigot and driven from the public square and marketplace.

Anyone who owns a small business related to the wedding industry — photographers, bakers, website designers, venue owners, caterers, florists — will be sued into oblivion if they refuse services to same-sex couples. Religious colleges and universities will lose their tax-exempt status. Religious institutions of every kind, if they hold to their teachings and traditions about marriage, will face an onslaught from the Department of Justice and the federal bureaucracy. . .

The untrammeled exercise of power and the vigorous crushing of dissent is the entire purpose of the proposed law. There can be no other possible justification for it. Michael New, an assistant professor at the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, recently told The Daily Signal that Catholic colleges and universities in particular might face ruinous lawsuits and loss of federal funding if the bill is signed into law.

“Suppose a Catholic college refused to allow a same-sex married couple to live in college owned graduate student housing for families, they might be subject to all kinds of litigation,” he said. “Such a college might lose its nonprofit status. Poll: Trump Holds 30-Point Lead Over 2024 GOP Primary Field

By Breitbart. Former President Donald J. Trump holds a towering 30-point lead over the rest of the potential 2024 Republican primary field, according to a poll.

In an Emerson College Polling survey released Tuesday, 55.1 percent of registered voters said they would vote for Trump in the 2024 GOP primary, placing him 30.3 points ahead of his nearest competitor, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). The Florida governor garnered 24.8 percent of the response.

Former Vice President Mike Pence came in third place as 7.5 percent of participants said they would back him, and 3.6 percent would support outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the vice chair of the January 6th Select Committee. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) drew support from 3.4 percent of poll participants. While the entire poll surveyed 1,380 registered voters, the question asking poll participants who they would support in the GOP primary had a sample size of 614 respondents. Young Americans Voted to Ruin Their Lives

By Townhall. This week, The New York Times published a column by a left-wing academic (forgive the redundancy), John Della Volpe, director of polling at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics. . .

He described young Americans as “stressed and sickened by thoughts of their rights and democracy slipping away.”

That is what Harvard and just about every other university tells America’s young people: “Because of the Right, you should be stressed and sickened — the Right is taking away your rights and destroying your democracy.”

The terrible irony is that there is a mortal threat to Americans’ rights and democracy — but it is entirely from the Left. Ever since Stalin declared Trotsky a “fascist,” the Left has labeled its opponents precisely what the Left itself is. . .

It is certainly working in America. Tampax Boycott Trends After Disgusting Tweet From the Brand Goes Viral

The feminine product brand Tampax was trending on Twitter Tuesday as some followers demanded a boycott.

Tampax had already come under fire this year due to its leftist ideology and willingness to promote gender theory. This time, Tampax is taking heat for a strange and snarky tweet that some have interpreted as trolling men, though the intended audience is unclear.

Followers were outraged at this sentiment, which they claimed was “sexualizing” tampon usage.

“Peak patriarchy: a company making women’s products insults its entire customer base and thinks this is OK. You utter creeps,” one person shared.

“A women’s period products company is getting off on the idea of their products being inserted in girls and women – getting there first – while men are chatting them up hoping for sex.
