Iraq veteran Colby Smith revealed a “heroic” story about Vince Vaughn following the uproar on social media over the actor’s handshake with President Donald Trump.
Smith, who served as a combat medic for the scout platoon of 108th Armor, 48th Combat Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division after being deployed in May of 2005 to Mahmudiyah, Iraq, just south of Baghdad, didn’t hold back as he spoke to the Daily Caller on Wednesday about the day he met the 49-year-old actor in the “violent area” known as the “triangle of death” when Vaughn stopped by the FOB (Forward Operating Base) St. Michael.
“When we got there the marines had just pulled out,” Smith shared, as he took us back to that day. “We had lost a lot of guys. I want to say 11 guys within a few weeks before he [Vaughn] arrived. It was a very tough time.”
“Like we heard about the Denver Broncos coming to Baghdad and no one ever stopped where we were at,” he added. “We were getting shot at. I got hit by four IED’s myself. So Vince Vaughn came, we got mortared.”
The veteran continued, “He [Vaughn] had been fully prepped that this was not a safe place. He did this [visit] because he heard that there was no one else coming to see these guys. And he did.” (Read more from “Iraq Veteran Shares ‘Heroic’ Story About Vince Vaughn Following Uproar Over Trump Handshake” HERE)

A new lawsuit filed Wednesday by the attorney general of the Virgin Islands claims that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked girls to his estate on his private island as recently as 2018, as first reported by The New York Times.
The lawsuit against the wealthy investor’s estate accuses him of sexually abusing young women and girls in the Caribbean, including some as young as 12 years old. . .
Young women were “deceptively lured” and recruited to the Virgin Islands “with money and promises of employment, career opportunities and school assistance,” by Epstein and his associates, according to the lawsuit, which was filed by Attorney General Denise George in Superior Court of the Virgin Islands. By Townhall. I want this impeachment theater to end. I want to shove it down the Democrats’ throats. I want to win. I want the Republican Senate to gut this whole charade. That will happen. There is no way the GOP Senate removes Trump from office. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said that he has the votes to block anything Democrats propose for the trial when it begins. Yet, the president wants an outright dismissal. On that, there may be a problem in our backyard (via The Hill):
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) told reporters on Monday that the Senate Republican caucus doesn’t have the votes to dismiss the articles of impeachment against President Trump, who endorsed an “outright dismissal” over the weekend.
“I think our members generally are not interested in a motion to dismiss. … Certainly there aren’t 51 votes for a motion to dismiss,” Blunt, the No. 4 Senate Republican, told reporters after a closed-door leadership meeting.
Republicans have warned for months that they will not dismiss the two articles of impeachment against Trump, predicting a trial will end with votes on either acquitting or convicting him.
But Trump revived talk of trying to dismiss the articles over the weekend, saying the Senate was “giving credence” to the allegations against him by having a trial.

Here Are the Lawyers Who Will Defend President Trump Against Impeachment
By NPR. President Trump is finalizing his defense team for his Senate impeachment trial as the process draws nearer.
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway outlined the leadership of the team on Friday while also teasing that more changes could come.
“We’re ready for it,” Conway said. “We have a defense team in place. And our defense team will go on offense also.”
Both White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow, a private attorney who represented Trump in the Russia investigation, are expected to make arguments before the Senate. Others will likely rotate in and out. (Read more from “Here Are the Lawyers Who Will Defend President Trump Against Impeachment” HERE)

By Daily Wire. The Trump administration is reportedly preparing to divert more than $7 billion in funds from the Pentagon to build an additional nearly 900 miles of border wall along the southern border.
Internal planning figures obtained by The Washington Post allegedly showed that the administration is planning to divert $7.2 billion to construction of the border wall.
“The Pentagon funds would be extracted, for the second year in a row, from military construction projects and counternarcotics funding,” The Post reported. “According to the plans, the funding would give the government enough money to complete approximately 885 miles of new fencing by spring 2022, far more than the 509 miles the administration has slated for the U.S. border with Mexico.”
Trump has struggled to get the funding needed to complete the construction of the border wall from Democrats who do not want to secure America’s borders and from Democrat-appointed judicial activists who have repeatedly sabotaged his immigration agenda. . .
“The decision from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, based in New Orleans, lifts an injunction issued last month in Texas that blocked the reallocation plan,” USA Today reported. “In the 2-1 ruling, judges granted the administration’s request to temporarily halt the nationwide injunction from U.S. District Judge David Briones of El Paso. Congress appropriated the $3.6 billion to the Department of Defense for 127 construction projects, Briones had ruled, so the Trump administration shouldn’t divert it to the border wall.” (Read more from “Trump Taking Major Step to Complete Border Wall Construction” HERE)

Trump Celebrates His ‘Powerful’ Border Wall, Names It After Himself
By NY Post. President Trump pumped up the barrier he’s building along the US-Mexico border, pronouncing it “the powerful Trump wall” in a Saturday tweet.
“Illegal crossing are dropping as more and more Wall is being completed!” he crowed.
A federal appeals court handed the administration a victory Thursday, releasing $3.6 billion in military funding for the construction of new border walls. (Read more from “Trump Celebrates His ‘Powerful’ Border Wall, Names It After Himself” HERE)

This bill proposes to repeal the prostitution laws while retaining felony human trafficking laws that prohibit recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining a minor for the purpose of commercial sex; patronizing a minor for commercial sex; recruiting, enticing, harboring, transporting, providing, or obtaining any person through force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of having the person engage in commercial sex; compelling any person through force, fraud, or coercion to engage in commercial sex; and patronizing any person for a commercial sex act who is being compelled through force, fraud, or coercion to engage in a commercial sex.
One of the bill’s sponsors, Rep. Selene Colburn who is a Burlington Progressive, said she believed decriminalizing so-called “sex work” would offer prostitutes more safety and improve their health.
Colburn also stated that if prostitution were not considered illegal in the state, charges would not be brought against the sex worker or the buyer, the VTDigger reported. (Read more from “State Lawmakers Propose Bill to Legalize Prostitution” HERE)
By Edmund DeMarche. Videos emerged online Monday that purportedly show Iranian police and security forces firing live ammunition to disperse demonstrators protesting against the Islamic Republic after the country mistakenly downed a Ukrainian airline plane shortly after takeoff from Tehran.
There was no immediate report in Iranian state-run media on the incident near Azadi, or Freedom, Square in Tehran, but, if true, could be seen as an act of defiance against President Trump who warned the regime against the use of deadly force.
Trump late Sunday tweeted in Farsi that a combination of protests and sanctions have “choked off” Iran and said Tehran will be forced to the negotiation table.
Trump insisted that he “couldn’t care less” if the regime negotiates, but he appeared to lay down non-negotiable issues that included the development of nuclear weapons and the use of deadly force against protesters.
“Don’t kill your protesters,” he tweeted:
National Security Adviser suggested today that sanctions & protests have Iran “choked off”, will force them to negotiate. Actually, I couldn’t care less if they negotiate. Will be totally up to them but, no nuclear weapons and “don’t kill your protesters.”

Muslim Scholar: Iranian Regime Threatened for “First Time”
By Talia Kaplan. Qanta Ahmed weighed in on Sunday on the anti-government protests that had erupted at Iranian universities across the country on Saturday in response to Iran’s admission that it unintentionally shot down a Ukrainian passenger plane killing all 176 people on board, saying that she thinks “this regime, for the first time ever, is seriously threatened.”
Ahmed, a Muslim scholar, made the comment on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday adding that the regime “is in its most fragile and precarious time probably since 1979.”
“They’ve had a disastrous outcome to their attempt of intimidating the United States, their attempts on the embassy in Baghdad failed, they’ve had Qassem Soleimani [figuratively] decapitated, they had to admit that they shot down their own commercial airliner, killing hundreds of people, 83 Iranians, many Iranians have lost multiple family members,” she explained. Powerful Video Shows Iranians Demonstrating More Respect for the U.S. Flag Than Colin Kaepernick Has
By The Blaze. As protestors took to the streets of Tehran this weekend calling for the resignation of Ayatollah Khamenei, a video shows thousands of them demonstrating more respect toward the flags of the U.S. and Israeli than, frankly, many Americans, like Colin Kaepernick and others, show to Old Glory.
Today, the crowd in an Iranian university refused to trample US and Israel flag #LoveBeyondFlags. These IR ideologies, like forced hijab, are falling one by one. pic.twitter.com/spxEI9DRv4
“Today, the crowd in an Iranian university refused to trample US and Israel flag #LoveBeyondFlags. These IR ideologies, like forced hijab, are falling one by one,” it reads in a caption.
The video shows thousands of protestors marching in Iran, approaching an American and Israeli flags that appear to be painted on the floor, and most of them carefully walking around them to avoid stepping on the national symbols.
As of the writing of this story, the video has nearly 1 million views, over 2,800 “likes,” and has been retweeted over 1,000 times. . .
Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who is known for leading the kneeling protest during national anthems in NFL games, has not made any public comments regarding the protests in Iran. However, Kaepernick was quick to attack the U.S. after President Donald Trump ordered an airstrike that killed terrorist Qassem Soleimani.
There is nothing new about American terrorist attacks against Black and Brown people for the expansion of American imperialism.

By Daily Caller. President Donald Trump said in a new interview on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” that he would use executive privilege to prevent former White House aide John Bolton from testifying in an impeachment trial.
“Why not call Bolton? Why not allow him to testify? This thing is bogus. Why not allow Bolton to testify?” Fox News’ Laura Ingraham asked in a recent interview set to air 10 PM Friday.
“No problem other than one thing,” Trump said. “You can’t be in the White House as president, future, I’m talking about future…any future presidents- and have a security advisor, anybody having to do with security, and legal and other things but especially…”
“Are you going to invoke executive privilege?” Ingraham said.
“Well I think you have to for the sake of the office,” the president responded. (Read more from “Trump Says He Will Use Executive Privilege to Prevent John Bolton Testimony” HERE)
Bolton Says War Powers Resolution Should Be Repealed
By The Hill. Former national security adviser John Bolton, who has spoken out against limitations on the president’s war powers in the past, on Thursday claimed the 1973 War Powers Resolution was “unconstitutional” ahead of a planned vote in the House on a resolution to limit President Trump’s ability to take further action on Iran without congressional approval.
“The 1973 War Powers Resolution is unconstitutional,” Bolton tweeted. “It reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of how the Constitution allocated foreign affairs authority between the President and Congress. The Resolution should be repealed.”

The former White House adviser has expressed anti-War Powers Resolution views since at least 2007, when he wrote in his memoir that the act was an example of Congress “overreacting” during the Watergate era in an effort to limit the executive branch, Politico Magazine reported. A federal investigation into matters related to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is nearly complete.
U.S. Attorney John Huber’s two-year-plus inquiry, which has been shrouded in mystery compared to other politically charged investigations involving federal law enforcement, has not led to any criminal charges or any “known impacts,” according to the Washington Post.
Within Huber’s purview was the FBI’s corruption investigation into the 2010 Uranium One deal and allegations that Clinton orchestrated a “quid pro quo.” The sale of Uranium One, a Toronto-based company with U.S. mine holdings, to Russian state-owned Rosatom was the focus of great controversy and scrutiny from Republicans who claimed that Clinton helped coax a nine-agency review board not to block the deal and that the Clinton Foundation may have stood to benefit from it.
Huber, who hails from Utah, was tasked by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions to investigate a list of allegations by Republicans in Congress. During his review, Huber examined documents and spoke with federal law enforcement officials in Little Rock, Arkansas, who were involved in an inquiry into the Clinton family’s foundation. Conservatives on Wednesday criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar after she was seen laughing while her Democratic colleague, Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, spoke about the deaths of American soldiers in the Iraq War.
“I’m very glad to say that I was part of the 132 and also the vote for Barbara Lee’s amendment, but I think that the point of that is that that is the same war that we’re dealing with today,” Lee said in a video surfaced by the RNC Research Twitter account. “We never solved any problems with AUMF, we left four thousand plus, maybe even forty four hundred dead, and over sixty thousand who came back injured in some form and the war never ended.”
Omar could be seen in the background smiling and smirking as Jackson-Lee spoke. . .
Jackson-Lee made the remarks during a press conference held by the Congressional Progressive Caucus following a classified briefing with Trump administration officials.
Congressional Democrats slammed President Donald Trump’s ordering of a drone strike, which resulted in the death of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani last week.

By Daily Wire. On Wednesday, The Sun (U.K.) released new photos of former President Bill Clinton in connection to now-deceased registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a “world exclusive.”
The photos purport to show Mr. Clinton with alleged Epstein madam Ghislaine Maxwell on board Epstein’s notorious private jet dubbed the “Lolita Express.”
Another image shows the former president with his arm around alleged “sex slave” Chauntae Davis, who is wearing a pilot hat she was allegedly ordered to wear to look professional, The Sun reported. . .
“It’s clear that Epstein was using this private jet and his wealth to get close to rich and powerful people,” Chauntae told the outlet. . .
“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein plead guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has previously been charged in New York,” a previously issued statement from Clinton said. “In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein’s airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa, which included stops in connection with the Clinton Foundation. Staff, supporters of the Foundation, and his Secret Service detail traveled on every leg or every trip.” (Read more from “New Photos of Clinton With Alleged ‘Sex Slave,’ Epstein Madam Emerge” HERE)

In another image he has his arm round Epstein’s personal masseuse and sex slave Chauntae Davies – who had been ordered to wear a ‘pilot’ shirt to look professional.
Other never-seen-before images show Clinton traveling on the infamous Boeing 727 jet while playing cards and chomping on a cigar.
Now, for the first time, Chauntae Davies has revealed the extraordinary details of Clinton’s long distance flight to Africa with Maxwell and a number of other celebrities.
