My Son’s Freshman Orientation at Virginia Tech Was Full of Leftist Propaganda

. . .Like many other women, I just sent my youngest child to college. I am so proud of him and his decision to join the Army ROTC and study engineering. He will be attending a revered Virginia institution known for its military Corps of Cadets program.

Because of this, I was shocked to experience what I can only describe as extreme and overtly leftist propaganda spewed at our children’s orientation. The opening “University Welcome” event for students and parents separated families immediately in the auditorium.

Nobody expected the event to begin with prayer or the Pledge of Allegiance — heavens, no! But one might expect to remember the names of fallen cadets on the pylons or the 32 dead and 17 injured in the 2007 shooting on Virginia Tech’s campus, the deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Nope. Instead, the administration made the stunning choice to open orientation by recognizing two Native American tribes on whose land the college was built (with the implication that it was stolen).

What followed went from slightly bothersome to downright alarming. The college filled the next two hours with speaker after speaker who introduced themselves with not just their names and titles but also preferred pronouns — as in, “Hi my name is Penny Nance, and I identify as she and her.” At first, parents were slightly surprised; by the end, they were mad. . .

At one point, after dinner, they sent parents off to oblivious sleep while they lectured students on not making assumptions about each other’s gender or sexuality. Were they suggesting students ought to be fluidly “exploring” their gender and sexuality, as if it were some expected adventure? In the era of “Me Too,” that seems off message. Trump Considering Buying World’s Biggest Island

President Trump made his name as a real-estate man, and now he is reportedly contemplating the biggest purchase of his life: buying Greenland.

The Wall Street Journal reports, “In meetings, at dinners and in passing conversations, Mr. Trump has asked advisers whether the U.S. can acquire Greenland, listened with interest when they discuss its abundant resources and geopolitical importance, and, according to two of the people, has asked his White House counsel to look into the idea.”

Denmark owns Greenland, although Greenland is self-ruled, At over 836,000 square miles, Greenland is the world’s largest island (Australia and Antarctica are considered landmasses.) Despite its enormous size, only 56,000 people live in Greenland; that’s because three-quarters of Greenland is covered by a permanent ice sheet.

Greenland came under the Norwegian crown in 1262; the Portuguese briefly claimed it at the start of the 16th century. In the early 1700’s, Denmark and Norway, which were joined under one crown, owned the island, but in 1814 when the union was dissolved, Denmark took control. In 1979, Denmark granted Greenland home rule. Denmark now handles Greenland’s foreign and security policy.

Trump is due to visit Copenhagen in September. The Wall Street Journal notes, “A decades-old defense treaty between Denmark and the U.S. gives the U.S. military virtually unlimited rights in Greenland at America’s northernmost base, Thule Air Base. Located 750 miles north of the Arctic Circle, it includes a radar station that is part of a U.S. ballistic missile early warning system. Jeffrey Epstein’s Lawyers Say Hulking Ex-Cop Attacked Epstein, Epstein Was Not Suicidal; Lawyer for Victims Agrees; NYC Mayor Says Death Wasn’t Due to “Human Error”

By NY Post. Jeffrey Epstein was confident he could fight the child sex trafficking charges against him and was in “great spirits” just hours before his jailhouse death on Saturday morning — even telling one of his lawyers, “I’ll see you Sunday,” The Post has learned.

The convicted pedophile also told his lawyers that the neck injuries he suffered in an earlier incident at the Metropolitan Correctional Center were inflicted by his hulking, ex-cop cellmate, which led the lawyers to request that he be taken off a suicide watch, according to a source familiar with Epstein’s case.

Epstein’s optimism behind bars — expressed during daily visits with his lawyers that lasted up to 12 hours each — was so great that it struck some of those around him as “delusional,” the source said.

Attorney Who Represented Jeffrey Epstein Victims Says He Knew Him and Is ‘Not Convinced That He Took His Own Life’

By Newsweek. . .West Palm Beach attorney Spencer Kuvin represented three of the more than two dozen women who had brought civil complaints against the financier in 2008 and 2009.

He told BBC radio that he knew Epstein as a litigant and a defendant and had met him at numerous settlement conferences.

“I am still not convinced that ultimately he took his own life….I’m not convinced because I knew him as a vain man, a very intelligent man who was a person who always defended what he did, even in light of all the evidence against him,” he told Beyond Today.

“He basically took the position, that no matter how old these young girls were, that they chose to be with him and he didn’t care (about) their age.

Bill de Blasio Calls Jeffrey Epstein’s Death ‘Way Too Convenient’

“The one thing I do not think is possible here is just pure traditional human error,” the Democratic presidential hopeful told FOX Business’ David Asman on Tuesday. “That’s the one thing I would rule out, given the prominence of the case and the nature of the situation. Giuliani said Tuesday on “The Ingraham Angle” he knew the setup of the floor the convicted sex offender was held on and had been inside the facility at least 20 times in his former roles as a prosecutor and defense attorney.

It was after he was taken off suicide watch and given his own cell, allegedly telling his lawyers that his accused murderer cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione had inflicted the neck injuries that were suspected of being marks from a July suicide attempt. Ghislaine Maxwell Found in Massachusetts

By Bridget Read. Maxwell, a former fixture in elite social circles, hasn’t been seen publicly in three years, adding to media speculation that she could be living abroad. The Daily Mail reports that, finally, she’s been located, in the Massachusetts seaside town of Manchester-by-the-Sea. She is supposedly living with her boyfriend, Scott Borgerson, 43, a tech CEO who owns a company called Cargometrics, described as “an investment management firm that specializes in analyzing data on global shipping.”

With Epstein no longer alive to face charges, attention has turned even more urgently to Maxwell, and to Epstein’s other employees who victims say helped facilitate his crimes. Maxwell, a former girlfriend of Epstein’s, has been accused by several of Epstein’s victims of enabling him to meet with underage girls for sex in what amounted to a trafficking ring. She has also been accused of threatening victims with measures like withholding passports and phones. On Wednesday, one of Epstein’s alleged victims became the first to sue Epstein’s estate and his accomplices — presumably including Maxwell — under New York’s brand-new Child Victim’s Act. Portrait of Bill Clinton in a Blue Dress Spotted in Epstein’s Mansion

The painting was secretly snapped inside the pedophile’s lavish $56 million home in October 2012, four years after Epstein completed his sweetheart deal for prostitution of a minor and seven years before he was accused of running a sex trafficking ring of underage girls.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, was visiting Epstein to present a business proposal – an encounter with the pervert which included spotting a girl who seemed to be 14 waiting to see the financier.

The woman said she was shocked to catch sight of the portrait through an open door as she walked through the ornate home with her business partner.

Mystery of Ghislaine Maxwell’s Whereabouts Deepens as Jeffrey Epstein Accusers Eye His Alleged Madam

By CNBC. The mystery over Ghislaine Maxwell’s whereabouts deepened Wednesday on a report that the alleged madam for Jeffrey Epstein, an accused child sex trafficker, was holed up in a Massachusetts mansion, as an Epstein accuser filed suit against Maxwell.

Hours after The Daily Mail reported that Maxwell was living in tech-firm CEO Scott Borgerson’s mansion in Manchester-by-the-Sea, NBC News reported that a property manager of an adjacent parcel of land said that Maxwell was living at Borgerson’s residence as recently as two weeks ago.

Borgenson told NBC, however, “she is not at my home.” He admitted knowing Maxwell.

The speculation over Maxwell came as prosecutors and Epstein’s accusers set their sights on her, and on the heels of Epstein’s apparent suicide in jail last Saturday.

Before Wednesday’s reports, the most recent indication of Maxwell’s location was in 2017, when her civil lawyers reportedly told a judge she was living in London, but without a firm address there. NYC Caves on Gun Law to Avoid a Second Amendment Showdown at SCOTUS. Will It Work?

When the Supreme Court comes back to work in the fall, it’s currently scheduled to take up its first big gun rights case in a while, but not if the city of New York has its way.

The question to be decided in the case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. [NYSRPA] v. City of New York, New York — which the Supreme Court agreed in January to take up — is whether New York City’s laws about transporting a licensed, unloaded, and locked firearm to a residence or shooting range outside the five boroughs is consistent with the Second Amendment.

Now, however, New York City claims that because it finally eased the restrictions on transporting firearms for the city’s licensed gun owners, there’s no longer a controversy that requires the Supreme Court’s review of the matter.

“Independently and together, the new statute and regulation give petitioners everything they have sought in this lawsuit,” the city’s legal team argued in a court document in July.

“Time and again, therefore, this Court has ordered cases dismissed … where intervening developments seemingly mooted a case but plaintiffs nonetheless implored the Court to decide it,” the city added. “Put another way, [the Supreme Court] may not ‘rule on a plaintiff’s entitlement to relief’ simply because he ‘won’t take “yes” for an answer,’” the city suggested, citing a previous opinion by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Lawyers for the NYSRPA responded to the city’s position with a letter saying that the case should still go before the Supreme Court.

“Whatever the merits of respondents’ mootness arguments, there is no reason to validate respondents’ efforts to deviate from the ordinary procedures for bringing those arguments before this Court,” the letter says.

The Supreme Court, according to the Washington Post, has told both parties involved to continue filing briefs on the matter and that the court will decide before the October session begins whether to hear the case or not.

The city’s policy reversal came after the city successfully defended the regulations in both federal district and appeals court, the Post pointed out, suggesting that the city doesn’t think it has much of a chance of success in front of the current court, with Trump-appointed Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

If the court still decides to press ahead and hear the case despite New York City’s mootness claims, a final decision would come out well before the 2020 general election and possibly during primary season. ‘Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein?’ Prime Time Conspiracy Theory Edition

Dozens and dozens of rich and powerful men took advantage of Epstein’s gracious invitation to visit various hideaways, including “pedophilia island,” where kids would put out for cash (that’s another game show on another network). It’s not surprising that Epstein’s death would be such rich fodder for conspiracy theories; he had documented connections with the wealthy and powerful on both sides of the political aisle. Court filings by his accusers allege a plot in which Epstein and his associates recruited underage girls and forced them to have sex with Epstein’s associates. Reports of the alleged crime ring fed into other, more speculative theories, including those with a strong partisan bias that only implicate Epstein associates from one side of the political spectrum.

Trump Shares Epstein Death Conspiracy Theory–So Did All These Democrats

Conspiracy theorizing hasn’t had this big a day in the mainstream since Aunt May won best actress for My Cousin Vinny, but if you were to go by the “well I never” response in the media for a Trump retweet of a #ClintonBodyCount conspiracy theory following the death of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, you’d think his was the first and only example. . .

The tweet hit all the big hashtags of the day, including #TrumpBodyCount, interestingly. But the “we know who did this” formula here is hardly out of the ordinary for Saturday’s festival of finger pointing. In fact, the text was downright average.

The tweet from Terrence Williams did, though, include video, which included lines like, “now for some odd reason, people that have information on the Clintons end up dead. And they usually die from suicide. Come on, now.” He also said never to tell him anything about the Clintons because he doesn’t want to “end up dead.” . . .

The Clinton conspiracy theory raged all day on Twitter, from thousands of accounts, both blue check and not, though aside from President Trump it didn’t get many takers in what you’d call the mainstream. But it wasn’t the only conspiracy theory floating around. There was another one, and it had exactly what you’d call mainstream takers. . .

NBC News tweeted their article about the Trump retweet. It had the promising-for-the-MSM tagline “President Trump contributes to the rampant promotion of conspiracy theories after Jeffrey Epstein’s death.” That might lead you to believe that NBC News covered the wide swatch of conspiracy theorizing overtaking social media for hours on end. Biden Explodes When Confronted on Lying About Trump. Video Proves Biden Wrong.

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden doubled down Thursday on a lie that he has repeatedly spread despite being called out on it numerous times and despite video evidence that clearly debunks his claim.

While Biden was campaigning at the “Political Soapbox” at the Iowa State Fair, Breitbart’s Joel Pollak confronted him over his repeated false claim that Trump called neo-Nazis and white nationalists “very fine people” in response to Charlottesville.

“Mr. Vice President are you aware that you are misquoting Donald Trump in Charlottesville?” Pollack asked Biden. “He never called neo-Nazis ‘very fine people.'”

“No, he called all those folks who walked out of that — they were neo-Nazis,” Biden said as he became visibly angry. “Shouting hate, their veins bulging.” . . .

“No, he did not. He said, he walked out, and he said — let’s get this straight,” Biden falsely claimed. “He said there were ‘very fine people’ in both groups. They’re chanting antisemitic slogans, carrying flags.”

Report: Jeffrey Epstein’s Guard Not Correctional Officer; Autopsy Done; Epstein’s Cellmate Transferred Hours Before “Suicide”

By Daily Wire. The autopsy of registered sex offender and multimillionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein has been completed, though most details of the report remain undisclosed. The alleged pedophile’s cause of death, according to an announcement from the New York City medical examiner late on Sunday, “is pending further information,” a common determination.

According to a report from The Daily Beast, Chief Medical Examiner Barbara Sampson said Epstein’s representatives hired celebrity pathologist Michael Baden “to conduct an independent autopsy and they were allowed to observe the autopsy.”

Baden is known as the “Death Correspondent” for Fox News, according to the Evening Standard, and has been involved in the high-profile deaths of John Belushi, Anna Nicole Smith, and Michael Brown, and testified at the infamous OJ Simpson trial. Dr. Baden has also “examined more than 20,000 bodies and was host of the HBO TV show Autopsy,” the outlet noted.

Epstein was found to have allegedly hanged himself on Saturday morning in his cell at the Metropolitan Correction Center (MCC) and was transferred to a hospital in Manhattan where he arrived in cardiac arrest, reports say.

If it is determined that Epstein did indeed die “at his own hand, his estate, whose members are unknown, could press a claim for wrongful death while he was in the custody of the state,” The Daily Beast reported, noting that it remains unclear if the disgraced financier’s body has been released, or to whom. Epstein’s Cellmate Transferred Hours Before His Death

By Daily Wire. As if there needed to be one more unusual circumstance surrounding what authorities initially classified as the “apparent suicide” of Jeffrey Epstein, officials at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City have dropped yet another doozy.

Epstein, who was found dead in his cell on Saturday, had no cellmate. The man assigned to his cell was abruptly transferred to another cell on Friday and another cellmate was not assigned, The Washington Post reported.

Investigators “are still exploring” why the cellmate was suddenly transferred, the Post said.

Epstein, a wealthy financier who was awaiting trial on charges he sexually abused dozens of young girls in the early 2000s, also was not checked on by guards for several hours before he was found unresponsive in his cell.

Conspiracy theories have exploded over how the convicted pedophile — who had rubbed elbows with prominent politicians from presidents to senators and even princes — could have killed himself while held in a high-security facility, and only two weeks after he was put on suicide watch. Jerry Nadler Gets Called out for Claiming ‘Formal Impeachment Proceedings’ Underway

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said in an interview with CNN Thursday that “formal impeachment proceedings” are underway, prompting GOP Rep. Doug Collins to call him out for being off the mark.

“This is formal impeachment proceedings,” Nadler told CNN’s Erin Burnett. “We are investigating all the evidence, gathering the evidence. And we will [at the] conclusion of this — hopefully by the end of the year — vote articles of impeachment to the House floor. Or we won’t. That’s a decision that we’ll have to make. But that’s exactly the process we’re in right now.” . . .

But Collins, the ranking member of the committee, said he’s either uninformed or misleading the public about what the committee is actually doing.

Watch: Biden Forcefully Grabs Girl After Being Asked How Many Genders There Are

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden forcefully grabbed a young woman’s arm on Thursday after she pressed him about how many genders exist and Biden seemed unable to provide an adequate response.

The incident happened while Biden was campaigning at the “Political Soapbox” at the Iowa State Fair when a girl named Katie, who is a student in the state, approached Biden with questions. . .

In an interview with Turning Point USA, Katie described the incident: “When I asked the question it took a few seconds for the question to register [in Biden’s mind] and then he responded with ‘three.'” . . .

“I started to walk away and then, it doesn’t stop there, he grabs my arm and pulls me back to make eye contact with him again and yells something about marriage at me,” Katie continued. “So I walked away and I was mad, just very, very mad that someone would actually treat me like that.”

Biden has a history of inappropriately touching women and girls, with many of the incidents being caught on video, and has faced multiple allegations from women across the country since the start of the year.
