Arizona Certifies Midterm Election Results Despite GOP Challenges

Arizona election officials certified the midterm election results on Monday, declaring Democrats winners in high-profile Senate and gubernatorial races over Republican candidates who falsely claimed the 2020 election was rigged.

The certification now opens a five-day window for challenges to the election. The Republican candidate for governor, Kari Lake, is expected to file a lawsuit after criticizing the administration of the election.

Katie Hobbs, the Democratic secretary of state, will be the next governor, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) will keep his seat for a six-year term, and Adrian Fontes, the former Maricopa County recorder, will be secretary of state. The attorney general’s race will go to an automatic recount following the certification after Democrat Kris Mayes led Republican Abraham Hamadeh by only 510 votes, a result of recent rule changes by the state legislature. Democrats Score Advantage With Special Voting Rules in Georgia Senate Runoff

A ruling that will allow Democrat-heavy counties to begin early voting on Saturday in the Georgia Senate runoff is poised to deliver an advantage to incumbent Raphael Warnock and set another hurdle for Republican Herschel Walker, who must find a way to motivate tepid GOP voters to show up for him on Dec. 6.

While the race is considered a toss-up, Mr. Walker is seen as the underdog after not only failing to win more than 50% of the vote in the Nov. 8 general election but also underperforming Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, who won reelection outright by beating Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams by 7 points.

Neither Mr. Warnock nor Mr. Walker topped 50% in the midterm election, falling short of the support needed to avoid a runoff. Mr. Walker finished behind Mr. Warnock by about 35,000 votes out of more than 4 million votes cast.

Both parties are eager to claim the seat. While Democrats held on to the Senate majority in the midterm elections, the runoff gives the party a chance to increase their ranks to 51, although their power to get legislation to President Biden’s desk will be blunted by a new GOP majority in the House. Arizona Attorney General: Maricopa County Broke the Law on Election Day (VIDEO)

Arizona Assistant AG Demands Answers on Alleged Mishandling of Ballots in Black Duffle Bags

By Breitbart. Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright on Saturday demanded Maricopa County officials produce an accounting of ballots allegedly stuffed in black duffle bags during the ballot tabulation process on November 8.

Wright, who is a part of the state’s Elections Integrity Unit, issued a letter demanding Thomas Liddy of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office look into the alleged comingling of ballots in black duffle bags at polling locations throughout the county that were transferred to the Election Department’s in Phoenix because they could not be properly counted by Maricopa County allegedly due to tabulation and ballot printer errors[.] . . .

Assistant Attorney General Wright asked for a report on the alleged commingling of ballots in black duffle bags, along with information about how the alleged mistreatment of ballots was cured to provide an accurate election result. Arizona Attorney General: Maricopa County Broke the Law on Election Day (VIDEO)

By Townhall. Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is demanding answers from Maricopa County election officials after a number of voters were unable to cast their ballots on election day. Maricopa is the state’s largest county and 25 percent of vote tabulation machines were not working on November 8, causing widespread voter disenfranchisement. According to the county, 70 voting locations were impacted.

“The Elections Integrity Unit (‘Unit’) of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (‘AGO’) has received hundreds of complaints since Election Day pertaining to issues related to the administration of the 2022 General Election in Maricopa County. These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law. Furthermore, statements made by both Chairman Gates and Recorder Richer, along with information Maricopa County released through official modes of communication appear to confirm potential statutory violations of title 16,” Brnovich wrote in a letter to Maricopa County Civil Division Chief Thomas Liddy over the weekend.

“According to Maricopa County, at least 60 voting locations had issues related to some ballot-on-demand (BOD) printers having printer configuration settings that were non-uniform, which appeared to have resulted in ballots that were unable to be read by on-site ballot tabulators,” he continued. “Based on sworn complaints submitted by election workers employed by Maricopa County, the BOD printers were tested on Monday, November 7 without any apparent problems. Many of those election workers report that despite the successful testing the night before, the tabulators began experiencing problems reading ballots printed by the BOD printers within the first thirty minutes of voting on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.”

Are Lonely Wine Karens Ruining Our Country? Exit Poll Reveals the Depressing Truth

Americans expected Republican candidates to dominate the midterm elections. Instead, they got a wave of disappointment thanks largely to lonely, unmarried women who broke heavily for the Democratic Party.

While exit polls show Republicans won married men and women voters by double digits and increased their share among unmarried men, the majority of single women (picture an ex-librarian who drinks boxed wine while listening to Joni Mitchell) voted for Democratic candidates.

Among unmarried women, 68% told CNN’s exit poll they voted for Democrats over Republicans in the 2022 midterms, while only 31% said they voted for Republicans.

So why the gap? Recall the words of Republican Ohio Senator-elect J.D. Vance, who explained to Daily Caller co-founder and Fox News host Tucker Carlson in July 2021 that he believes progressive politicians are nothing more than “a bunch of childless cat ladies.” They use their positions of power to air out grievances rather than govern for the betterment of their constituency.

“What I was basically saying is that we are effectively run in this country – via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs – by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too,” Vance told Carlson. “You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC – the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children.” (Read more from “Are Lonely Wine Karens Ruining Our Country? Congressman Urges GOP Not to Abandon President Trump

The results of the 2022 midterms are not all final yet, but it appears that the Republican Party could have a majority in the U.S. House, and possibly the Senate, a result that effectively would block many of Joe Biden’s more extreme spending, abortion and transgender agenda points. . .

That has left critics, opponents and commentators calling for the party to abandon President Trump, who was active in the 2022 races, endorsing many candidates, many of whom won. . .

But in a column at the Daily Caller News Foundation, Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., who has openly supported Trump and who won his re-election race, suggested otherwise.

“I can rattle you off statistics about how much better America was two years ago. Gas prices were roughly half of what they are now. There was about a third less fentanyl crossing the border. We were also not on the brink of nuclear war with Russia,” he explained.

“You know how much better life was under President Donald Trump than Biden, you don’t need me to tell you that. It’s time now, though, to look to the future.” (Read more from “Congressman Urges GOP Not to Abandon President Trump” HERE)

Arizona’s Election Administration Is an International Embarrassment

Two days have passed since polls closed in Arizona and unsurprisingly, election officials in the state have failed to provide voters with the final results of numerous highly contested races.

As of this article’s publication, none of Arizona’s contested statewide races have been called for any of their respective candidates. With 70 percent of votes tabulated, Democrat Katie Hobbs leads her Republican rival Kari Lake in the gubernatorial race by fewer than 13,000 votes, while Democrat Mark Kelly leads Republican Blake Masters by a little less than 95,000. The races for Arizona attorney general and secretary of state also remain up in the air, with both still too close to call. . .

While countries with tens of millions of citizens, such as France and Brazil, are able to tabulate nationwide election results within 24 hours, the Grand Canyon State has continued to disrespect its voters by repeatedly leaving them in limbo and turning what’s supposed to be Election Day into “election season.” International election observers have regularly pointed to delayed election results as one of several warning signs of incompetent election administration, and although that doesn’t mean there was impropriety in this year’s Arizona elections, the failure to tabulate votes in a timely and efficient manner does nothing but undermine voters’ confidence in the electoral process.

Much like their counterparts in Washington, D.C., Arizona’s Republican leaders such as Gov. Doug Ducey have had numerous chances over the past two years to resolve delayed vote tabulations; and at every available opportunity, they have simply chosen to ignore it. In Kari Lake, many Arizona Republicans see a leader who tackles challenging issues rather than runs from them. And given what the public has witnessed over the past two years, it sure looks like the state could use one. Trump Reacts to Midterm Results

By Daily Caller. Former President Donald Trump celebrated the outcome of the 2022 midterms late Tuesday night, posting that it was “a great evening,” and congratulating winning Republican candidates.

“174 wins and 9 losses, A GREAT EVENING, and the Fake News Media, together with their partner in crime, the Democrats, are doing everything possible to play it down. Amazing job by some really fantastic candidates!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The Republican Party scored several notable victories on Election Day, including a strong performance from Ohio Senator-elect JD Vance against Democrat Tim Ryan. Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders won the Arkansas gubernatorial race, becoming the first woman to do so, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis defeated Democrat Charlie Crist by nearly 20 points.

Republicans still have a chance to win the Senate and the House, but the predicted “red wave” did not materialize in either chamber. The GOP currently stands at 47 seats in the Senate with leads in Wisconsin and Nevada and a runoff between two Republican candidates in Alaska, according to the Associated Press. To get to a majority, Republicans would need to win in either Georgia, where Democratic incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock is likely headed to a runoff against Republican challenger Herschel Walker, or in Arizona, where as of late Wednesday morning, The New York Times showed the race leaning toward Democratic incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly. (Read more from “Trump Reacts to Midterm Results” HERE)

‘Titanic Clash’ Brewing Between Trump and Desantis After Midterm Results, Predicts Brexit’s Nigel Farage

By Breitbart. Brexit leader Nigel Farage predicted that a “titanic clash” is brewing between Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the two leading contenders for the Republican nomination for President in 2024.

Speaking from the mid-term battleground state of Arizona on Wednesday morning, Nigel Farage said that while Republican gains in Congress will limit President Biden’s ability to govern, the failure of a so-called ‘Red Wave’ to materialise will likely elevate Ron DeSantis in the eyes of conservative voters as it will not provide the “huge springboard” Donald Trump had hoped for before his expected announcement of his intention to run for president again.

The veteran political campaigner turned GB News host said that discussions “within the Republican party as to whether they should pick Trump or DeSantis is going to reach fever pitch, in my opinion, over the next few weeks, and I say that as a friend of Donald Trump.” (Read more from “‘Titanic Clash’ Brewing Between Trump and Desantis After Midterm Results, Predicts Brexit’s Nigel Farage” HERE)

Trump Attacks Desantis: I Got More Votes Than Him, Needs to Be ‘More Gracious’ to Me. I Won His Primary.

By Daily Wire. Former President Donald Trump (R) tried to downplay Florida Governor Ron DeSantis‘ (R) dominant election victory on Tuesday night, claiming that his victory in 2020 in Florida was more impressive than DeSantis’ victory last night, even though facts do not support that notion.

“Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million?” Trump said on social media. “Just asking?”

It impossible to compare the turnout for midterm elections to the turnout for presidential elections because the turnout for presidential elections is always higher. What can be compared, though, is the margin of victory.

In 2020, Trump won the state by 3.3 points or 371,686 votes. DeSantis won the state last night by 19.4 points or 1,507,081 votes. (Read more from “Trump Attacks DeSantis: I Got More Votes Than Him, Needs to Be ‘More Gracious’ to Me. I Won His Primary.” HERE)

White House ‘Warns’ Elections Results May Not Be Clear for ‘Days’ After Election

The 2022 midterm election results won’t be clear on Election Day and the final tally won’t come for “a few days,” warned White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday afternoon.

Her statement comes just hours before polls are slated to open in many locations across the United States, which will determine what party controls the House, Senate, or both. Many governor’s seats are also up for grabs.

“We may not know all the winners of elections for a few days. It takes time to count all legitimate ballots in a legal and orderly manner. That’s how this is supposed to work,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at the White House. “You heard the president say this last night,” she said.

Some politicians, including former President Jimmy Carter in a 2005 report, and other critics have said that delayed vote-counting efforts undermine Americans’ confidence in their elections and raise the risk of fraud.

Jean-Pierre added that President Joe Biden will address the country on Wednesday following the midterm results. If Republicans control both the Senate and House, they will be able to stymie Biden’s legislative agenda for the next two years, including on taxes, providing military funds to Ukraine, and potential COVID-19-related restrictions. Elon Musk Makes Election Day Choice, Gives Recommendation to ‘Independent-Minded Voters’

Billionaire Twitter CEO Elon Musk endorsed Republicans for the midterm election cycle on Monday, telling voters to cast ballots for a Republican Congress.

Musk’s announcement comes months after he first announced plans to vote Republican earlier this year. He argued Monday that having a government split between two parties is ideal, and noted President Biden’s possession of the White House for Democrats before saying Congress should go to Repubilicans.

“To independent-minded voters: Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic,” Musk wrote.

Musk’s endorsement follows through on his vow to vote Republican in May. (Read more from “Elon Musk Makes Election Day Choice, Gives Recommendation to ‘Independent-Minded Voters'” HERE)

GOP Congressman Shreds the Media’s Pelosi Attack Narrative (VIDEO)

. . .With the Democratic Party about to get annihilated in the 2022 midterms, something we’ve known for weeks, the story fizzled out. There are too many issues impacting voters and endless incompetence emanating from the Biden White House for anyone to care about this little home hammer time incident. Still, Rep. Tom Emmers (R-MN) had to call out the liberal media’s double standard regarding the Pelosi hammer assault (via Real Clear Politics):

RCC Chairman Rep. Tom Emmer pushed back against CBS’s Margaret Brennan when she blamed Republican campaign ads for inspiring a violent attack on the husband of Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“I never saw anyone after Steve Scalise was shot by a Bernie Sanders supporter… Trying to equate Democrat rhetoric with those actions. Please don’t do that,” Emmer said on “Face The Nation.”

“I’m sure people like to talk about anything but what the Democrats have done to this country, which quite frankly is exploding cost of living,” he added.
