Dr. Anthony Fauci doesn’t see Americans outgrowing their face diapers anytime soon. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said on Sunday that he can’t rule out Americans wearing face masks in 2022. Hopefully, the nation’s top “expert” flip-flops on this as he has with so many other things in the past.
“I think it is possible that that’s the case and, again, it really depends on what you mean by normality,” Fauci said on CNN’s “State of the Union,” when asked whether Americans will still be wearing face masks next year.
Fauci said he would like to see the level of coronavirus infections come down in communities to a level where “there’s virtually no threat.”
“If you see the level coming down really, really very low, I want it to keep going down to a baseline that’s so low that there’s virtually no threat,” said Fauci.

Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday changed his tuned – yet again – about the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. This time, Fauci said Congress needs to pass President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan before kids return to the classroom. According to the infectious disease expert, schools and teachers need “more resources” in order to safely reopen.
“I think that the schools really do need more resources and that’s the reason why the national relief act that we’re talking about getting passed, we need that. The schools need more resources,” Fauci told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.
According to the doctor, the Centers for Disease Control’s new guidelines, which include making vaccines for teachers a priority (but not a requirement) and adjusting hybrid and fully in-person learning based on community spread, is the first time the guidelines have been put on paper.

A Yale University doctor took aim at Dr. Anthony Fauci for the infectious disease expert’s dismissal of hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment for COVID-19.
“I really wish Dr. Fauci would say something in terms of evidence. He never quotes any studies. It’s hard to know if he has any evidence,” Dr. Harvey Risch said of Fauci’s dismissal of the drug during an appearance on the Ingraham Angle. “The study we published is a review of all of the evidence for early treatment as a whole.”
Risch continued by pointing out that there are many treatments that work well in addition to hydroxychloroquine.
“It’s not just one drug,” Risch said. “It’s not just hydroxychloroquine. There are many drugs that can be used, as we have seen this week. … There is a whole new repertoire … of drugs that work in early treatment. And we combine them to get maximal benefits. That’s how we treat early COVID, and it works well.”
“It’s astonishing,” Risch continued. “Everything has become politicized, and it’s like Big Brother is watching over every … move with a script behind the scenes that nobody understands. These drugs are inexpensive. They are generic. In a startling interview with the New York Times, Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the government’s coronavirus taskforce, admitted that he did not level with the American people about how many people would need to be vaccinated in order to achieve herd immunity because he didn’t think the public was ready to hear his true thoughts, which he feared might discourage people from getting vaccinated.
The Times article catalogued Dr. Fauci’s changing position on how many Americans would need to be vaccinated, which he initially stated would be 60-70 percent. As noted by the Times, about a month ago, Fauci’s tune began to change and he suggested that the figure was actually 70-75 percent. Last week, in an interview with CNBC, he upped that figure (again) to “75 to 80-plus percent.” In the interview with the Times, he changed his estimate yet again and suggested that the figure actually may be “close to 90 percent.”
According to the Times, in the telephone interview, “Dr. Fauci acknowledged that he had slowly but deliberately been moving the goal posts. He is doing so, he said, partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks.”
In other words, Fauci’s advice to the American public on one of the most critical aspects of the coronavirus pandemic, has not consisted entirely of his honest opinion, formulated by the best science, but rather on what he thinks the country is ready to hear.
Dr. Fauci went on to even more expressly admit that he had fudged his public pronouncements in order to encourage people to take the vaccine. USA Today Mocked After ‘Fact Check’ Claims Calling Out Dems for COVID Hypocrisy Is ‘Missing Context’
By Fox News. USA Today was once again mocked Wednesday over another so-called “fact check,” this time for their scrutiny of a claim calling out Democratic leaders for their apparent coronavirus hypocrisy.
On Tuesday, USA Today outlined the claim that “[s]everal Democratic politicians urge social distancing and issuing stay-at-home advisories but host or attend gatherings,” which stemmed from a viral Facebook post from the group Occupy Democrats Logic.
The post, which has since been taken down, included a screenshot of a Nov. 13 tweet from conservative commentator Liz Wheeler, who called out California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for flouting CDC guidelines over the past several weeks. . .

However, the paper pointed out that both Pelosi and the House GOP had planned a dinner for new members of Congress before scrapping those plans. The fact check, however, does not mention Pelosi’s infamous trip to a shuttered San Francisco hair salon without wearing a mask, which was first reported by Fox News.

McEnany Hits Democratic Leaders for Not Following Their Own COVID-19 Restrictions

“Behind me you will see images of Democrat hypocrisy playing on loop,” McEnany told reporters during a press briefing.
The press secretary played images of California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) eating at an indoor restaurant last week, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) celebrating President-elect Joe Biden’s victory last month in what McEnany called “maskless streets” and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) visiting a California hair salon earlier this summer while they were closed by local health officials.
“Quite clearly, these Democrats do not follow their own edicts,” she said. “They act in a way their own citizens are barred from acting.”

Whitehouse coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci thinks that Americans have an independent spirit, but that there are times when it’s in our best interest to follow the rules.
Fauci, speaking on Thursday at Washington National Cathedral with other top health experts on the pandemic, noted that it is a bit unfair to compare the United States’ coronavirus response with other countries. The United States isn’t an island with five million people that can easily be shut down, he notes. So suppressing and controlling the virus is a lot more of a challenge.
“I was talking with my U.K. colleagues who are saying the U.K. is similar to where we are now, because each of our countries have that independent spirit,” he said on stage. “I can understand that, but now is the time to do what you’re told.”
Fauci noted that scientists have been perceived throughout this pandemic as “authoritarian” by members of the public, because of the steps taken to combat the virus.
