Dr Anthony Fauci was tonight accused of lying under oath over his knowledge of dangerous virus research in China — which is feared to have caused the pandemic.

DailyMail.com can reveal Senator Rand Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland last week calling for an investigation into whether Dr Fauci, 82, committed perjury when he testified in front of a Senate committee in 2021.

In a showdown with Republicans, including Sen Paul, in July that year, Dr Fauci testified that his former department ‘has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.’

Dr Fauci was the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) until the end of 2022 and was responsible for signing off on research grants.

Fauci Filmed Laughing off Lab-Leak Theory, Wishing He’d Pushed Mask Mandates Sooner

Dr. Anthony Fauci was shown laughing off the widely accepted lab-leak theory as “molecularly impossible” in a new documentary — while also saying he would’ve implemented quarantines and mask mandates sooner.

The then-White House adviser was followed by PBS throughout 2021 and 2022 as he became a polarizing figure while leading President Biden’s response to the pandemic.

In it, he railed against Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) “insidiously” suggesting in Congress in July 2021 that his National Institutes of Health had funded gain-of-function research at the lab in Wuhan where COVID first emerged.

Fauci confirmed that the “number of experiments that needed to be done on viruses” include “doing something under certain circumstances that make a pathogen more transmissible or more pathogenic.”

House Unanimously Passes Bill Forcing Intelligence Czar to Declassify All Docs on COVID

. . .With the political climate, especially over this pandemic regarding the ineffective containment protocols forced down our throats, you’d think this would be an impossible legislative hurdle. As it turns out, this was probably one of the most bipartisan pieces of legislation sent to Biden for signature. The House voted unanimously to declassify the documents by a 419-0 vote.

As Jim Geraghty of the National Review observed, that means Reps. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) agreed about something; this is history. The question now is whether Biden will sign off on this measure or veto it due to national security concerns, which confirms what we’ve all assumed about this tale: it probably came from a lab, and Biden is trying to protect as many people as he can by using his pen. The liberal media will appreciate the gesture as it will most likely save them from eating a K2-sized mountain of crow for labeling others who said it was probably a lab experiment gone awry as racist (via Associated Press):

The House voted unanimously Friday to declassify U.S. intelligence information about the origins of COVID-19, a sweeping show of bipartisan support near the third anniversary of the start of the deadly pandemic.

The 419-0 vote was final congressional approval of the bill, sending it to President Joe Biden’s desk. It’s unclear whether the president will sign the measure into law, and the White House said the matter was under review.

Emails Show Fauci Prompted Study to Disprove Coronavirus Originated From Lab

Dr. Anthony Fauci prompted the draft of a study to disprove the Wuhan coronavirus lab leak theory was “improbable,” emails from the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released Sunday show.

The emails indicate Fauci “prompted” a study on a scientific paper written in February 2020 to disprove the coronavirus leaked from the Wuhan lab in China. The emails also show Fauci had final approval on the paper.

The scientific paper was used by Fauci eight weeks later in a White House press conference to discredit former President Donald Trump’s hypothesis that the coronavirus leaked from the lab. Fauci failed to disclose his involvement with the paper and the paper’s authors — claiming later he did not know who the authors were:

Fauci was emailed the paper entitled, “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2,” for final approval before publication in Nature Medicine on February 17, 2020.

Fauci Admits COVID Shots Didn’t Have a Chance of Controlling the Pandemic

Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted in a recently published research paper that COVID-19 vaccines could not have been reasonably expected to get the pandemic under control.

Fauci and other top government and healthcare officials repeatedly stressed during the pandemic that getting vaccinated would stop the spread of COVID-19 and was the most important step individuals could take to end the pandemic. However, in the paper published Jan. 11 in Cell Press, Fauci and two co-authors write that respiratory viruses like SARS-CoV-2 and the flu have never been well-contained by vaccines.

“Because these viruses generally do not elicit complete and durable protective immunity by themselves, they have not to date been effectively controlled by licensed or experimental vaccines,” Fauci and his co-authors, David Morens and Jeffrey Taubenberger of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), wrote in the paper.

The analysis, titled “Rethinking next-generation vaccines for coronaviruses, influenza viruses, and other respiratory viruses,” highlights shortcomings in current vaccine technology for respiratory viruses and speculates on how it might be improved going forward. The authors compare SARS-CoV-2 to influenza, for which they say “only less than suboptimal vaccines” exist.

Vaccine technology for influenza has not evolved much since 1957, they said, leading to influenza being the deadliest vaccine-preventable viral respiratory disease. Flu shots have only been between 14 and 60 percent effective at stopping infection over the past 15 flu seasons, according to the paper. ‘Twitter Files’ Confirm Stanford Professor Dr. Jay Bhattacharya Was ‘Blacklisted’ for COVID-19 Information

The second installment of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” confirmed that Twitter was secretly “blacklisting” certain users and tweets that did not align with the platform’s left-leaning agenda.

Stanford University professor of medicine, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, was one of many on the platform’s “blacklist,” according to information revealed Thursday by The Free Press reporter Bari Weiss.

Bhattacharya was secretly blacklisted because he “argued that Covid lockdowns would harm children,” and was thus unable to trend on the platform, Weiss reported in a Twitter thread. . .

On “The Ingraham Angle,” Bhattacharya said the suppression of his voice, which questioned much of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s guidance and the COVID-19 policies, ultimately harmed data, children and the American public.

Fauci Claimed He Had ‘No Involvement’ in Redacting Sensitive Emails, but Legal Filings Tell a Different Story

Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared to contradict his own agency during a Nov. 23 deposition by claiming that he is not involved in the redaction of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, a transcript of the record revealed on Monday.

The seven-hour deposition was led by Republican Attorney General (AG) Eric Schmitt of Missouri and Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry of Louisiana to uncover Fauci’s role in aiding social media censorship in 2020. When asked about his role in responding to various FOIA requests about his emails from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), of which he is the director, and the National Institute of Health, Fauci responded that he was not immediately involved; however, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) previously claimed otherwise.

“I don’t — a FOIA request does not come to me, and I look through my e-mails and give the e-mails that they ask for,” Fauci said in the transcript. “We have a system at the NIH where FOIA requests come in and a different component of the institutes tap into the e-mails and provide the e-mails that are requested. I don’t decide which e-mails go and don’t go.”

Fauci continued, stating that he has “never redact[ed]” anything. . .

However, the HHS claimed otherwise during a Joint Status Report in a 2020 lawsuit filed by the Daily Caller News Foundation over a public record request. The request is being managed by Judicial Watch, a conservative organization dedicated to “transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law,” according to its website. Fauci Deposition Transcript Released: ‘I Don’t Recall’ 174 Times

Louisiana and Missouri on Monday released the entirety of the November 23, 2022, deposition of Dr. Anthony Fauci as part of the lawsuit against the Biden administration and federal government, which Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry (R) said confirms that “federal bureaucrats in collusion with social media companies want to control not only what you think, but especially what you say.”

The lawsuit focused on allegations of federal officials colluding with social media companies to censor speech, and Fauci’s deposition, Landry explained, shows that “social engineering tactics were used against the American public, not to limit your exposure to a virus, but to limit your exposure to information that did not fit within a government sanctioned narrative.”

The deposition shows Fauci, again, attempting to sidestep the reality of gain of function research being conducted at the Wuhan lab, deeming gain of function a “misleading terminology” and pointing to “outside groups” — but not the National Institutes of Health (NIH)— that decided to “strictly define the guardrails of experiments that would require additional oversight and did away with the terminology ‘gain of function’ because it can often be very confusing and misleading.”

However, throughout the deposition, Fauci feigned ignorance, stating, “I don’t recall” 174 times when facing questions about various emails, interviews, or “other important documents,” as described by Landry’s press release.

At one point, for instance, Fauci claimed he was not aware of an EcoHealth Alliance grant, awarded by the NIH which was then sub-awarded to the Wuhan lab.

Fauci Changes Tune: ‘Completely Open Mind’ About Lab Leak, Gives School Closure Warning

By Daily Caller. Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on “Meet The Press” and “Face The Nation,” Sunday, speaking almost exclusively about COVID-19.

During his interview with Chuck Todd on “Meet The Press,” Fauci was asked what can be done to figure out whether the COVID-19 virus was leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. Fauci claimed that the only thing that can be done to discover COVID-19’s origin is to fully investigate the physical lab and engage in open and transparent communication with the researchers in China.

Todd then asked Fauci’s personal beliefs on the lab leak theory, to which he responded that he has “a completely open mind about that, despite people saying that I don’t.” He went on to note that there is a “preponderance” of evidence that the disease evolved naturally.

Fauci Defended Lockdowns During Deposition, Said China Was the Inspiration: Lawyer

By The Epoch Times. A top U.S. health official who publicly backed lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic defended his position during a deposition on Nov. 23, according to people who were present for the questioning.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the longtime director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, also said the inspiration for the lockdowns was communist-run China, one of the people said.

Fauci sat for the seven-hour deposition in Bethesda, Maryland, where the headquarters for the institute’s parent agency are located.

He was forced to answer questions under oath on orders from a federal judge who is set to decide whether the government should be blocked from pressuring Big Tech firms into censoring posts and users.

‘All-Knowing’ Fauci’s Memory Suddenly Vanishes When He Has to Testify; Fauci Emailed Friend Saying Masks Were ‘Ineffective’

By New York Post. Fauci was deposed on Wednesday by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry. Landry labeled Fauci the “man who single-handedly wrecked the US economy based upon ‘the science, follow the science.’” But “over the course of seven hours, we discovered that he can’t recall practically anything dealing with his COVID response,” Landry said. . .

How many lies did Fauci tell on Wednesday? The transcript has not been released, but a few “pants on fire” snippets have come out. After Fauci championed lockdowns to vanquish COVID, top scientists from Oxford, Stanford and Harvard in October 2020 issued the Great Barrington Declaration, which argued that “focused protection” for high-risk groups (such as the elderly) was vastly preferable to shutting down society.

When asked about his role in assailing that Declaration, Fauci declared, “I have a very busy day job running a $6 billion institute. I don’t have time to worry about things like the Great Barrington Declaration.” But less than two weeks after the Declaration’s release, Fauci emailed Deborah Birx, the White House COVID chief, “I have come out very strongly publicly against the Great Barrington Declaration.” Fauci did multiple media interviews castigating any suggestion that lockdowns were unnecessary to save America.

Fauci apparently sees himself as part of a caste of politically favored scientists entitled to rule Americans’ lives. Schmitt tweeted that Fauci declared during the deposition that “the rest of us ‘don’t have the ability’ to determine what’s best for ourselves.”

Fauci has consistently behaved as if federal health officials deserve unchallengeable dictatorial powers. When a federal judge in April struck down the Biden administration mask mandate for airplane travelers, Fauci caterwauled, “This is a CDC issue, it should not have been a court issue.” Fauci neglected to reveal the secret provision of the Constitution that entitles political appointees to nullify the rest of the nation’s founding document. Fauci Emailed Friend Saying Masks Were ‘Ineffective,’ Pushed for Mandates Anyway, Missouri AG Says

By Fox News. Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said Friday that during his seven-hour deposition with Dr. Anthony Fauci, new information revealed that two months after Fauci told a friend masks were “ineffective,” he supported mask mandates.

On Friday, the Show-Me State Republican attorney general tweeted a “tidbit” from his deposition with the outgoing head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases:

“Another tidbit from Fauci depo: In Feb ‘20 he emailed a friend advising her masks were ineffective. Confirmed again on Mar 31. On Apr 3 he’s adamant masks should be worn even though he couldn’t cite a single study to prove it. Mandates followed—Lives ruined.”

“COVID tyranny is born,” Schmitt continued.
