AZ Governor Signs Bill To Defy Any New Federal Gun Control Laws

Republican Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona signed a bill on Tuesday that would ban local governments and employees from enforcing or aiding any infringement on gun rights imposed by the federal government.

House Bill 2111 was passed by the Arizona House and Senate in an attempt to preempt any new regulation of guns by the Biden administration.

“The state of Arizona and its political subdivisions are prohibited from utilizing any financial resources or state personnel to administer, cooperate with or enforce any law, act, order, rule, treaty or regulation of the federal government that is inconsistent with any law of this state regarding the regulation of firearms,” read the text of the legislation.

Biden has promised to seek a ban on assault weapons and high capacity magazines in the wake of several mass killings after he assumed office. (Read more from “AZ Governor Signs Bill To Defy Any New Federal Gun Control Laws” HERE)

WATCH: Arizona Man Goes to Texas to Repair Water-Damaged Homes

An Arizona man inspired to do good went to Texas, which has been storm-ravaged in recent days, to repair water-damaged homes.

Jordan Orta, who owns Tru Grit Restoration, says he called a Texas property management company to see if they needed any help after the treacherous winter storm.

When the company said yes, Orta began his 16-hour drive to Dallas, Texas, without hesitation, KSAZ reported.

Orta said he could not stand by and do nothing after he heard about the storm’s impact on Texas and how people were being displaced from their homes. (Read more from “Watch: Arizona Man Goes to Texas to Repair Water-Damaged Homes” HERE)

Marine Corps Vet Faces Decades in Prison for Standing up to COVID Fascism

In yet another sad example of the COVID insanity gripping the nation, the owner of the Self Made Training Facility franchises in Arizona, Jeff Mahaffey – a decorated Marine Corps veteran – has received daily fines and criminal charges for operating his gym outside of the government mandates and CDC guidelines. In early spring when the original shutdowns began, Jeff did close in adherence with the statewide stay at home orders. However, due to lack of statistics and scientific backing for the closures, his doors were reopened in May when that original order expired. But on June 30th, a second round of closures was announced.

This second closure edict specifically targeted restaurants, bars, movie theaters, and gyms. Nevertheless, Jeff made the courageous decision to keep his facilities open for the countless independent contractors and their clients who utilize his buildings. Soon thereafter, he started receiving daily class 1 misdemeanor charges issued by Scottsdale Police Department. These charges carry a max penalty of $2,500 and 6 months in prison – each.

Not only this, the city of Scottsdale also began using intimidation tactics to try and keep Jeff’s doors closed. The local government began placing squad cars in the parking lot of the Scottsdale facility and even followed members who were leaving the facility. Invariably, these members would be stopped for minor traffic infractions. When confronted, the conversation always immediately turned to the gym in place of the reason for traffic stop.

Come early August, gyms were given the opportunity to reapply to reopen. However, in doing so, the owners had to agree to enforce a set of rules and restrictions set forth by the state. The restrictions and penalties were vague and seemed to allow the state to permanently shut down businesses if found in violation of the ambiguous guidelines. Given this, and coupled with the fact that the Self Made Training Facility had not closed back down to begin with, Jeff did not submit an application.

A few months went by with little to no issues. However, on November 25th, the Arizona Department of Health entered the facility without permission and, without any inspections, left a notice of immediate closure on the front desk and taped one to the front door. The state inspector then left without saying much of anything.
On the state’s notice, it stated the reason for closure was that the business had failed to submit an application to reopen. In other words, Jeff would essentially have to ask permission from the government to operate his business. Following this notice, multiple new charges were filed against Jeff. Local courts issued a court date but failed to provide any notice to Jeff. Once the unserved court date was predictably missed, the court then issued a warrant for his arrest.

But instead of arresting Jeff, local authorities attempted to mediate. In mediation it was stated that if Jeff wanted his contempt of court charge (for missing the hearing he didn’t know about) dropped, he would have to waive all rights to trespass local and state government officials from his businesses. In other words, he would have to grant an unlimited license to government agents to come and go as they pleased from his property. Of course, this “solution” was quickly turned down. An agreement was met to keep Jeff out of jail for the time being, however. In this agreement, local authorities filed a permanent injunction stating that as long as Jeff enforced CDC mask guidelines and was willing to work with the Arizona Department of Health Services, they would not pursue the contempt of court charge at this given time. So, the fight wages on.

Obviously, this fight is much more than just one man trying to keep his business open. It is a fight for the soul of our nation and the Constitution on which it was founded. There are small businesses nationwide standing up to this tyranny, but they cannot stand alone.

Patriot Jeff Mahaffey will keep fighting, but he needs support to stand up in the courts. If you would like to help, please visit Fundraiser by Bruno Dominianni : Jeff Mahaffey Self Made Family Legal Fund (gofundme.com) to donate.

Drones Increasingly Being Used for Drug Smuggling

Border Patrol officials in Arizona report the use of drones to smuggle drugs across the U.S.-Mexico border is on the rise. Yuma Sector officials ask for the public’s help in spotting and reporting illegal drone activity.

“Drones, more formally called unmanned aircraft systems, have many positive and legitimate uses; however, drones are also frequently being used to smuggle illegal drugs across the international border from Mexico into the U.S.,” Yuma Sector Border Patrol officials said in a written statement. “They are operated from a distance by remote control and are most often used under the cover of night.”

Last month, Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents arrested two U.S. citizens who picked up nearly 25 pounds of methamphetamine that smugglers dropped from a drone, according to a November Border Patrol statement. The drone delivered the package of drugs near a residence near San Luis, Arizona. Agents arrested the two U.S. citizens and seize the $225,ooo worth of meth. Arizona Lawmakers Call for Audit of Dominion Machines

Officials in three states have discussed, or have been pressured to consider, asserting their constitutional authority to select the electors to the Electoral College without being bound by the popular vote.

Now lawmakers in one of those states, Arizona, are calling for an independent audit of the Dominion software and electronic voting equipment used by Maricopa County in the 2020 general election.

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann and House Speaker Russell Bowers were joined in the request by incoming Senate Government Chair Michelle Ugenti-Rita and House Majority Leader Warren Petersen.

“As a longtime advocate for improving and modernizing our election system, I am pleased to learn that the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is supportive of conducting an independent audit of their voting software and equipment,” said Sen. Ugenti-Rita. “It is important we maintain all of the voting public’s confidence in our elections and this is a positive first step in the right direction.”

Petersen added: “A significant number of voters believe that fraud occurred and with the number of irregularities it is easy to understand why. Especially concerning are the allegations made surrounding the vendor Dominion. It is imperative that the county immediately do a forensic audit on the Dominion software and equipment to make sure the results were accurate.”

WATCH: F-16s Intercept Plane Flying Too Close To Trump Rally

The U.S. Air Force intercepted an unknown aircraft flying too close to President Trump’s campaign rally in Arizona Wednesday.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said it dispatched F-16s, a type of fighter aircraft, and launched signal flares before establishing radio contact and escorting the plane out of restricted airspace “without further incident.”

NORAD said the general aviation aircraft was not in communication with Air Traffic Controls and entered the Temporary Flight Restriction area surrounding Bullhead City, AZ without proper clearance around 2 p.m. The aircraft was not initially responsive to intercept procedures, they added.

Trump, who addressed a crowd of supporters in the battleground state just six days before the election, saw the flares and pointed at the sky.

“Oh, look at that. Look, look, look,” Trump said, pointing at the sky. “Look at that. They gave the president a little display.” The crowd then chanted “USA, USA, USA!” (Read more from “WATCH: F-16s Intercept Plane Flying Too Close To Trump Rally” HERE)

Teenager Arrested in Connection With ‘Ambush’ Shooting of AZ Trooper

A teen was arrested and a second suspect is in the wind following an “ambush”-style shooting of an Arizona state trooper Thursday, authorities said.

Luis German Espinoza Acuna, 17, allegedly used an AK-47 to fire multiple shots at Arizona Department of Public Safety detectives in a residential area of Phoenix just before 9 a.m., the department said.

Troopers were in the area to execute a warrant on a wanted suspect, according to ABC News. The trooper who was struck was sitting in an unmarked vehicle but was wearing visible police attire, police said.

“There was no question, it was an ambush,” department director Col. Heston Silbert said at a press conference Thursday night. “He was identifiable as a police officer.”

Acuna was a passenger in a silver, four-door Infiniti that pulled up in front of the detective’s vehicle and honked the horn. He then got out of the car and allegedly “immediately opened up and opened fire” on the trooper, who also got out of his vehicle, Silbert said. Mormons Repelled by President Trump Break Away From GOP

Donald Trump is losing ground among typically Republican-voting Mormons in Arizona, as some members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints take a surprising turn and put their support behind Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

Yasser Sanchez, who twice worked to defeat Biden’s bids for vice presidency by building support for Republican candidates among fellow Mormons, now says he’ll vote for Biden in the upcoming election.

Sanchez finds himself in a surprising position as he’s become repelled from his party and by President Donald Trump. . .

On Wednesday more than 200 people identifying themselves as Republicans who belong to the church published an open letter declaring their opposition to Trump and calling him ‘the antithesis of so much the Latter-day Saints community believes.’

In a bid to recapture votes, the Trump campaign launched its Latter-day Saints for Trump Coalition this past week and sent Vice President Mike Pence to Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix, for the kickoff on Tuesday. (Read more from “Mormons Repelled by President Trump Break Away From GOP” HERE)
