Border Officers Catch Several Female American Citizens Storing Nearly a Pound of Fentanyl in Their Bodies

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in El Paso, Texas, in the last two weeks have intercepted multiple American women carrying fentanyl concealed in their private areas.

“It is tragic that people are willing to put themselves in these dangerous situations,” CBP El Paso Director of Field Operations Hector A. Mancha said in a statement. “This synthetic opioid is so powerful that if a package were to rupture inside the body, the consequences could be life threatening.”

A 31-year-old woman, who is a U.S. citizen, was carrying .394 pounds of fentanyl that she removed from her inside private parts after a pat down, where CBP officers at the Port of Ysleta felt something foreign in her private area during a secondary search, according to CBP.

Another U.S. citizen, this time a 42-year-old woman, was stopped on Feb. 28 by CBP officers at the Paso Del Norte Border Crossing and found to be carrying .293 pounds of fentanyl in her privates. DHS Seeks to Divert Officers From U.S. Border Crisis to Ukraine

The Biden administration is seeking to divert Customs and Border Protection officers from the U.S. southern border crisis to Europe to help process U.S. citizens fleeing from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In a memo issued Thursday, the CBP asked for volunteers from among its ranks to deploy to Poland for “Operation Ukraine Support,” Just the News reported.

“The Office of Field Operations is seeking volunteers to assist with the possible evacuation of U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and their immediate family members from Ukraine,” the memo said.

Addressing CBP field operations executives, the memo said eligible employees who volunteer “may be selected to serve a temporary duty assignment in Poland to facilitate travelers for entry into the U.S., to include providing guidance and problems resolution to other government agencies.”

“Once deployed employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and may be required to work irregular shifts and schedules, up to seven days per week including holidays and weekends,” the memo noted. (Read more from “DHS Seeks to Divert Officers From U.S. Border Crisis to Ukraine” HERE)

Leaked Audio: Biden’s DHS Secretary Admits Border Is ‘Worse Now’ Than ‘in at Least 20 Years, if Not Ever’

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas had a contentious meeting with border patrol agents, according to leaked audio.

President Joe Biden has overseen the largest influx of migrants from the southern border in decades, with 178,840 illegal crossings occurring in December 2021 alone — a level higher than the December totals from 2020, 2019, and 2018 combined.

On Wednesday, Mayorkas was forced to acknowledge before Yuma Sector agents that the border is “worse now than it, frankly, has been in at least 20 years, if not ever,” according to meeting audio obtained by Townhall reporter Julio Rosas.

“The job has not gotten any easier over the last few months and it was very, very difficult throughout 2021,” Mayorkas said. “I know apprehending families and kids is not what you signed up to do. And now we got a composition that is changing even more with Cubans, Venezuelans, Nicaraguans, and the like, it just gets more difficult.”

“I know the policies of this administration are not particularly popular with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, but that’s the reality and let’s see what we can do within that framework,” he continued. Leaked Document Shows Thousands of Unvaccinated Border Agents Before Big Federal Deadline

Approximately 4,165 border agents were unvaccinated as of last week ahead of the Nov. 22 COVID-19 federal vaccine mandate deadline, according to a document obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Nov. 14 document provided by an anonymous government source showed that around 16,500 border agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) were fully vaccinated. Of the unvaccinated agents, 3,365 were seeking exemptions and 800 had no exemption requests.

Vice President of the National Border Patrol Council Chris Cabrera told the DCNF that the worst penalty for agents choosing to remain unvaccinated without approved exemptions could mean removal from the job.

A senior border patrol agent earlier told the DCNF that lesser penalties could include “verbal counseling” and 14 days without pay before removal. (Read more from “Leaked Document Shows Thousands of Unvaccinated Border Agents Before Big Federal Deadline” HERE)

Border Patrol Agents Encounter Nearly 2,000 Migrants in One Day

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley sector encountered nearly 2,000 migrants in a single day on Friday, with hundreds getting past the overwhelmed officers, according to reports.

Within a 24-hour period, there were 1,909 encounters with illegal immigrants, including at least 262 “gotaways,” in which CBP officers monitored their crossing through camera or sensors but did not have the available manpower to apprehend them, Department of Homeland Security sources told Fox News. Many more are likely to have crossed undetected.

The RGV sector has encountered more than 65,000 migrants in the 2022 Fiscal Year, a 161 percent increase from the same period last year.

In Fiscal Year 2021 over 1.7 million migrants were encountered and more than 192,000 migrants were encountered in September alone. (Read more from “Border Patrol Agents Encounter Nearly 2,000 Migrants in One Day” HERE)

The ‘Whipgate’ Hoax Investigation Has Already Crumbled

It’s been nearly a month since a Democratic operative created a fake narrative about the behavior of Border Patrol agents defending the U.S.-Mexico border from illegal immigrants, but the initially swift condemnation from the highest levels of the Biden administration has turned into a slow-walked investigation.

Despite promising that the investigation would take “days,” Mayorkas and DHS have now taken more than two weeks and still haven’t concluded their hastily ordered probe. . .

At the time back, [Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas pledged that the investigation would happen swiftly to provide information about exactly what had happened. The problem with the Biden administration’s quick condemnation of reports — many of which had to be corrected due to utter inaccuracy — is that the alleged actions they condemned didn’t actually happen. . .

When The Hill queried DHS about their missed deadline, officials said they still have no clear end-date for the report. “The investigation is ongoing,” DHS claimed. “The Department is committed to a thorough, independent, and objective process,” adding they “are also committed to transparency and will release the results of the investigation once it is complete.” (Read more from “The ‘Whipgate’ Hoax Investigation Has Already Crumbled” HERE)

Biden Gets on His High Horse, Vows Border Patrol Agents ‘Will Pay’

President Joe Biden isn’t waiting for the investigation into Border Patrol agents seen in photos on horseback pursuing migrants on the southern border, declaring Friday their actions were “wrong” and that they “will pay.”

“I promise you, those people will pay,” Biden told reporters at the White House on Friday. “There will be consequences. It’s an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment, it’s dangerous. It’s wrong.”

The agents on horseback seen chasing Haitian migrants who had illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border near Del Rio, Texas, have been placed on leave. Immigrant advocates were initially angered by allegations the agents had whipped migrants with their horses’ reins, but their criticism has now turned to perceived differences between how Haitian and Latino migrants are treated.

Under pressure, the Department of Homeland Security is investigating the horseback incidents. That is despite Paul Ratje, the photographer who took the images, contending the whipping accusations had been “misconstrued.”

“I’ve never seen them whip anyone,” Ratje said in an interview. “He was swinging it, but it can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture.” (Read more from “Biden Gets on His High Horse, Vows Border Patrol Agents ‘Will Pay'” HERE)

WATCH: Top Democrat Pushes Back On Claim That Border Patrol Agent Swung ‘Whip’ While Charging Horse Toward Haitian Migrants

Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) pushed back against recent criticism of U.S. Border Patrol agents who rode up horseback to force Haitian asylum seekers out of Del Rio, Texas, after the small border town had become flooded with thousands of illegal aliens in recent days.

Cueller, appearing on CNN on Tuesday, disputed false narratives that emerged from an inaccurate news report claiming an agent swung a “whip” while charging his horse toward the illegal aliens. The misinformation was amplified by several of his fellow Democrats and possibly further exaggerated by CNN anchor Victor Blackwell, who said on-air that an agent “appears to use what looks like a rope or a lasso” while referencing a photograph taken during the encounter.

“Well, you know, certainly, we got to make sure we treat all the immigrants with respect and dignity,” Cuellar said. “But I will say this, Border Patrol has had those horse brigades for a while, they’ve had them for a while, number one. Number two, they don’t carry whips. And they do not carry lassos. I think the picture you’re talking about, at least the one I’ve seen is the rein, the rein of the horses.”

Cuellar said that if there was a problem with the agent’s conduct, it should be looked into but that “we cannot paint the Border Patrol with that same type of paintbrush.”

“But again, that’s not a whip, that is not a lasso,” Cuellar later added. “They do not carry that. That seems to be the reins from the horse itself.” (Read more from “WATCH: Top Democrat Pushes Back on Claim That Border Patrol Agent Swung ‘Whip’ While Charging Horse Toward Haitian Migrants” HERE)

Biden Border Crisis Worsens: Feds Build More Migrant Detention Facilities

Construction is set to begin on temporary detention facilities at the Border Patrol’s Interstate 35 checkpoint and other locations in Laredo, Texas. The shelters are military-style general-purpose tents and can house 60 people per tent. Plans for the climate-controlled structures, designed only for short-term detention, do not include funding for contract personnel to staff the facilities.

According to a law enforcement source within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Laredo Sector is accepting hundreds of migrant transfers from the Del Rio Sector. The source says nearly 100 migrants are transferred from Del Rio to Laredo, Texas daily.

Del Rio, Texas experienced a surge in the crossing of Haitian and Venezuelan nationals and currently leads the Border Patrol in the apprehension rates for those two demographics. According to the source, Del Rio is continuing to see large numbers of migrants from those two countries entering in numbers exceeding 100 daily.

The source also suspects the move is timed to coincide with a potential for the discontinuation of the Centers for Disease Controls (CDC) Emergency COVID-19 declaration (Title 42) that allows for the speedy expulsion of single adults and certain family units to Mexico within hours of their apprehension. Migrants who illegally enter the country from Mexico and the northern triangle Central American countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador are subject to immediate expulsion under CDC’s Title 42 Authority. WATCH: Shocking Border Video Captures Illegal Aliens in Life or Death Struggle

U.S. Border Patrol agents have rescued a group of migrants seen on video nearly drowning while trying to cross the Rio Grande River into Texas.

The incident unfolded Wednesday in Roma, west of McAllen, and was captured on video by Fox News’ Sara Carter.

“I’m drowning!” one of the migrants could be heard yelling as body parts are seen emerging and then disappearing from the surface of the water.

Agents rushed down the river bank and came to the aid of the migrants.

Elsewhere in Texas, Houston Police say they arrested two suspects in what appears to be a human smuggling case.
