As Ex-Girlfriends Vouch for Kavanaugh, Hollywood Actress Jumps in

A line has clearly been drawn regarding the potentially damning sexual allegations launched against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

On the same day two women who used to date Kavanaugh came out in stark defense of him on Fox News, Hollywood actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has come out to support the accuser by signing a letter penned by various members of her alma mater.

Louis-Dreyfus, an alumna of Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland, the same college prep school Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford went to, came out to publicly support Kavanaugh’s accuser.

“Dr. Blasey Ford’s experience is all too consistent with stories we heard and lived while attending Holton. Many of us are survivors ourselves,” the letter signed by various Holton-Arms alumnae reads.

“It demands a thorough and independent investigation before the Senate can reasonably vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to a lifetime seat on the nation’s highest court,” the letter states.

Feinstein Under Fire, Scrambles to Walk Back ‘Truthful’ Comment About Kavanaugh Accusation

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein has come under heavy fire from both sides of the aisle for her handling of the unsubstantiated accusation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh about an alleged sexual assault dating back 36 years, when the accuser and Kavanaugh were both in high school. Feinstein only ramped up the pressure on herself on Tuesday with a comment she is now scrambling to walk back.

Speaking to Fox News Tuesday, Feinstein said she “can’t say everything’s truthful” about the accusation from California professor Christine Blasey Ford.

Ford, said Feinstein, is “a woman that has been, I think, profoundly impacted, on this,” Fox’s Chad Pergram reports. “I can’t say that everything is truthful. I don’t know,” Feinstein added.

Feinstein also told Fox that she knows that Ford “did not want to go public,” which is “why I made the letter,” but the situation was taken out of her control. Asked what will happen if Ford decides not to testify Monday, Feinstein said, “I have no say,” stressing that the handling of the hearing is in Republicans’ hands.

Within an hour of her “truthful” comments causing a stir among media outlets on the left and right, Feinstein “clarified” that she believes the accuser is “credible.”

Democrats Refuse to Participate in Phone Call With Kavanaugh

Democrats serving on the Senate Judiciary Committee reportedly refused to participate in phone calls with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his sexual assault accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford on Monday.

In a statement released by the Senate Judiciary Committee, Chairman Chuck Grassley said, “Anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has deserves to be heard, so I will continue working on a way to hear her out in an appropriate, precedented and respectful manner.”

He continued, “The standard procedure for updates to any nominee’s background investigation file is to conduct separate follow-up calls with relevant parties. In this case, that would entail phone calls with at least Judge Kavanaugh and Dr. Ford. Consistent with that practice, I asked Senator Feinstein’s office yesterday to join me in scheduling these follow-ups.

“Thus far, they have refused. But as a necessary step in evaluating these claims, I’ll continue working to set them up.”

Later in the day, Grassley announced the committee would be holding public hearings Monday, Sept. 24, during which both Kavanaugh and Ford are slated to appear.

“As I said earlier, anyone who comes forward as Dr. Ford has deserves to be heard. My staff reached out to Dr. Ford to hear her account, and they held a follow-up call with Judge Kavanaugh this afternoon,” said Grassley.

“Unfortunately, committee Democrats have refused to join us in their effort. However, to provide ample transparency, we will hold a public hearing Monday to give these recent allegations a full airing,” he added.

President Donald Trump stated on Monday he wants Ford’s sexual assault allegation against Kavanaugh — stemming from the early 1980s, when the two were in high school — to receive “full process” in the U.S. Senate, but predicted it “will work out very well.”

“I wish the Democrats could have done this a lot sooner because they had this information for many months,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “They shouldn’t have waited until literally the last days. They should have done it a lot sooner.”

Nonetheless, the president said, “We want to go through a full process,” adding, “I have great confidence in the U.S. Senate and in their procedures and what they’re doing.”

Trump conceded a “little delay” might be needed to look into the allegation.

Asked if Kavanaugh should withdraw his name from consideration, the president called the question “ridiculous.”

Originally, a vote by the Judiciary Committee had been slated for this Thursday.

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., who sits on the committee, told The Washington Post on Sunday, “I’ve made it clear that I’m not comfortable moving ahead with the vote on Thursday if we have not heard her side of the story or explored this further.”

“For me, we can’t vote until we hear more,” he said.

Feinstein, who is the ranking Democratic member on the committee, shared that view.

“I agree with Sen. Flake that we should delay this week’s vote,” she said. “There’s a lot of information we don’t know and the FBI should have the time it needs to investigate this new material.” (For more from the author of “Democrats Refuse to Participate in Phone Call With Kavanaugh” please click HERE)

She Comes Forward: Kavanaugh Accuser Is Revealed

By Townhall. Well, it’s happened. The woman who alleges that Judge Bret Kavanaugh, along with another individual, attempted to sexually assault her while in high school has come forward. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) reportedly had a letter about this encounter since at least the summer, but sat on it. One could say that alone speaks to the credibility of the accusation. It was referred to the FBI later this week, and now the whole nomination process could be thrown into chaos. It’s messy. The whole situation could get ugly very soon and very fast, folks. Backward reels the mind to the Clarence Thomas hearings. The pressure is already building. If the person remained anonymous, that’s one thing, but she’s now come forward to The Washington Post. Her name is Christine Blasey Ford. She’s a research psychologist in northern California and a professor at Palo Alto University. Ford was a student at the all-girls Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland. The encounter occurred when Kavanaugh was 17-years-old. It was not revealed until 2012 during couple’s therapy, the Post obtained some of the notes from her therapist; Kavanaugh is not mentioned by name (via WaPo):

Speaking publicly for the first time, Ford said that one summer in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh and a friend — both “stumbling drunk,” Ford alleges — corralled her into a bedroom during a gathering of teenagers at a house in Montgomery County.

While his friend watched, she said, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed on her back and groped her over her clothes, grinding his body against hers and clumsily attempting to pull off her one-piece bathing suit and the clothing she wore over it. When she tried to scream, she said, he put his hand over her mouth. . .

Ford said she told no one of the incident in any detail until 2012, when she was in couples therapy with her husband. The therapist’s notes, portions of which were provided by Ford and reviewed by The Washington Post, do not mention Kavanaugh’s name but say she reported that she was attacked by students “from an elitist boys’ school” who went on to become “highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington.” The notes say four boys were involved, a discrepancy Ford says was an error on the therapist’s part. Ford said there were four boys at the party but only two in the room.

Judge Jeanine: Feinstein’s Handling of Kavanaugh Letter Shows Complete Disregard for Truth and Justice

By Fox News. As a prosecutor, a superior court judge as well as elected district attorney. The way it works is you are innocent until you are proven guilty. Clear, unambiguous words etched in stone. Why would anyone ignore this truth, especially the ranking Democrat on Senate Judiciary, Senator Dianne Feinstein, is stunning. But you shouldn’t be surprised. The left is committed to the removal of a duly elected president, the destruction of our system of capitalism, and now an all-out assault on our system of justice.

To them you are guilty – guilty until proven innocent. But no one in all the years I’ve spent in courtrooms has ever been able to prove a negative. So forget the time-honored notions like due process, probable cause, beyond a reasonable doubt or a jury of your peers. Today, unsupported, uncorroborated, untested words, not facts are sufficient to convict not just in the court of public opinion, but in the esteemed hallowed halls of the United States Senate.

Forget the right to counsel, the ability to defend yourself, the right
confront your accuser or even cross-examine your accuser. Truth in this scheme is nothing more than collateral damage if a Republican is on the receiving end of an anonymous allegation.

So Dianne, let me see if I get this. Another Democrat, a congresswoman from California, no less, forwards a July letter to you containing a completely unsubstantiated claim that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh while in high school tried to force himself on another high school student almost 40, I said 40 years ago.

Kavanaugh for anyone who even cares has categorically and unequivocally denied the allegation. So why are we just hearing being this now? Dianne, when you get the letter, what do you do to make sure it’s real? That the person is even real? Given the left’s penchant to buy fake dossiers, make up facts and collude with the media to sabotage even the President of the United States, forgive me if I think it’s all hogwash. Okay, you say quote, “The individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further. And I honored have that decision.” (Read more from “Judge Jeanine: Feinstein’s Handling of Kavanaugh Letter Shows Complete Disregard for Truth and Justice” HERE)
