Teens These Days Can’t Behave Themselves So One Local Chick-Fil-A Had To Lay Down The Law

A Chick-fil-A restaurant in Ohio will require all customers under 17 to be accompanied by an adult or face removal, the franchise announced last week.

The franchise from Kettering, Ohio, said the policy intends to “ensure a safe and respectful environment for all guests,” requiring minors to be accompanied by someone over 21, according to a post on its Facebook page. The timing coincides with the start of the school year, when teenage foot traffic typically increases. The new rule follows a similar policy the nearby Town & Country Shopping Center implemented in 2022 to address property damage. That policy requires visitors to carry proof of age.

Local residents expressed mixed reactions online. Critics called the policy overly broad and unfair to well-behaved teenagers. Supporters argued it would preserve a family-friendly atmosphere.

“Nobody there makes enough to constantly remove disruptive teenagers who lack accountability and fear of consequence,” one commenter said, responding to another user who suggested the restaurant could simply remove disruptive customers on a case-by-case basis.

The Kettering location was not the first one to introduce such a policy. A Royersford, Pennsylvania, Chick-fil-A enforced similar restrictions in 2023 after dealing with what it called “unacceptable behaviors.” The Pennsylvania franchise cited loud, profane conduct, food throwing, table vandalism, and verbal abuse of employees. Black Supporter to Donald Trump at Chick-Fil-a Stop: ‘I Don’t Care What the Media Tells You… We Support You’

Former President Donald Trump was greeted by enthusiastic supporters at a Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, Georgia, while on the campaign trail and ordered 30 milkshakes and chicken for everybody.

Video shows the former president speaking to workers at the location, asking, “Can I have 30 milkshakes and also some chicken? We’re going to take care of the customers.” He then asks if business is good, to which the workers reply, “Yes.”

Lawmakers Launch Attack on Chick-fil-A’s Right to Heed Bible Commandment

The New York legislature has launched a bill aimed at forcing Chick-fil-A outlets at the state’s rest stops to cancel the company’s longtime practice of closing on Sundays.

The state awarded spots to the popular fast food outlet to open counter outlets at some of the rest stops on the New York Thruway, knowing full well ahead of time that the counters would be closed on Sundays in accordance with the eatery’s policy. The policy has been in place since its founding in Hapeville, Georgia, in 1946, according to New York’s Spectrum News 1.

Chick-fil-A’s policy states that the company is closed on Sundays “to allow Operators and their team members to enjoy a day of rest, be with their families and loved ones, and worship if they choose.” (Read more from “Lawmakers Launch Attack on Chick-fil-A’s Right to Heed Bible Commandment” HERE)

Chick-Fil-A Sparks Anti-Woke Outrage for VP of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Post

Chick-fil-A, the chicken sandwich chain long beloved by conservatives for its longstanding opposition to same-sex marriage, is now sparking boycott calls after announcing that it has hired an executive in charge of diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Atlanta-based company announced on Tuesday that it was naming Erick McReynolds to the post of vice president of DEI — igniting angry denunciations on Twitter from conservatives who allege that the firm has “gone woke.”

McReynolds has been employed by Chick-fil-A since 2007.

He was promoted to the position of vice president of DEI in November 2021, according to his LinkedIn page.

But the recent LGBTQ controversies involving brands such as Bud Light, Target, and Kohl’s have triggered scrutiny of other corporate actors. (Read more from “Chick-Fil-A Sparks Anti-Woke Outrage for VP of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Post” HERE)

This State Wants to Ban Chick-fil-A From Rest Stops for Being ‘Homophobic’

Chick-fil-A is getting skewered by a group of New York lawmakers who are looking to block the company’s bid to open restaurants at state highway rest stops because of its owner’s anti-LGBTQ stance.

The Atlanta-based fast-food chain is among a handful of restaurants that were awarded contracts by the New York State Thruway Authority to be part of a $450 million plan to renovate 27 service areas.

But Chick-fil-A’s chief executive, Dan Cathy — whose father, S. Truett Cathy, founded the $8.4 billion company in 1946 — has publicly disparaged LGBTQ rights, which some legislators say should disqualify the privately owned company from opening eateries at state-run highway rest stops.

Assemblyman Harry Bronson, a Rochester-area Democrat, sent a letter to Thruway Authority Executive Director Matthew Driscoll asking him to “re-examine the list of approved concessions” for the rest stops because of Chick-fil-A’s past support of anti-LGBTQ groups, according to the Auburn Citizen. . .

Chick-fil-A’s foundation has given money to anti-LGBTQ organizations and supported opponents of same-sex marriage ballot initiatives, according to the report. Chick-fil-A’s restaurants are also closed on Sundays — missing out on more than $1 billion in revenue — so that its employees can go to church if they choose to. Fast-Food Chain Called Out for Mocking Christians With Slap at Chick-fil-A

The Burger King fast-food chain is being called out for an apparent anti-Christian bigotry over its newest promotion that promises to subsidize the LGBTQ agenda.

Steve Cortes, former President Trump’s campaign staffer, posted on social media: “First, Burger King food is terrible. Second, we should welcome the acceleration of the Great Sorting. This corporation makes it clear it mocks Christians (and other religious people) and doesn’t want our business. So be it.”

The reaction came after the company launched a promotion of a new product, a chicken sandwich, by promising to give 40 cents from each sandwich sold to the Human Rights Campaign, a massive homosexual and transgender rights campaigner.

It targeted the Chick-fil-A chain, whose owners have in the past stated their support for traditional marriage and even now close their stores on Sundays so that employees have the choice of attending a church if they choose, in the announcement.

Burger King said, “during #pride month (even on Sundays * *) your chicken sandwich craving can do good! We are making a donation* to @HRC for every [sandwich] sold.” (Read more from “Fast-Food Chain Called Out for Mocking Christians With Slap at Chick-fil-A” HERE)

Video Shows Quick-Thinking Chick-Fil-A Customer Help Cops Apprehend an Escaping Suspect

A customer waiting at a Chick-fil-a drive-thru is being praised for his quick thinking after he helped a police officer apprehend a suspect that he was chasing.

The incident unfolded in Jacksonville, Texas, on Wednesday as the man was waiting in line for his chicken sandwich, according to KLTV.

Jacksonville police say that officers were in pursuit of a suspect they say was driving a stolen vehicle and had jumped from the car to escape from police.

When the suspect tried to run between the line of cars through the restaurant’s parking lot, the customer waited until just the right moment to open his truck door into the suspect.

An officer pounced on the man after he fell to the ground, and the customer can be seen further assisting the officer as he makes the arrest.

WATCH: Chick-Fil-A CEO Suggests White People Shine the Shoes of Black People to Express ‘Shame’ Over Racism

Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy suggested during a church service that one way for white people to atone for racism in the United States is to shine the shoes of black people, to express their “shame.”

. . .Cathy sat down for a televised discussion at Atlanta’s Passion City Church on Sunday with Pastor Louie Giglio and rapper Lecrae to engage in what the church described as “an open and honest conversation around how racism has plagued our city for generations, and the steps we can all take to confront it head-on in our church, our neighborhoods, and our hearts.”

The CEO shared a story told to him about a revival that happened in Texas, where a young man at the service who was “gripped with conviction about the racism that was happening” in the small town expressed his conviction by kneeling down before an elderly African American man and shining the gentleman’s shoes.

. . .”So I invite folks to just put some words to action here,” Cathy said, standing up and walking over to Lecrae with a shoe brush in hand. As he knelt down before the rapper, the CEO continued, “If we need to find somebody that needs to have their shoes shined, we just need to go right on over and shine their shoes and whether they got tennis shoes on or not, maybe they got sandals on, it really doesn’t matter. But there’s a time at which we need to have, you know, some personal action here. Maybe we need to give them a hug, too.”

Change of Heart? Chick-Fil-A CEO Says Company Will Still ‘Glorify God’ After Dropping Christian Organizations

Chick-fil-A may now be having second thoughts after departing from Christian organizations like The Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes after LGBTQ activists branded them as homophobic.

In a December fifth letter to Tim Wildmon, president of the American Family Association, Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy expressed some regret after the business “inadvertently discredited several outstanding organizations” after shifting gears on its corporate giving strategy this past November.

“As you have seen, recently we announced changes to our giving strategy at the Chick-fil-A Foundation. These changes were made to better focus on hunger, homelessness and education,” wrote Cathy. “We understand how some thought we were abandoning our longstanding support of faith-based organizations. We inadvertently discredited several outstanding organizations that have effectively served communities for years.” . . .

“The intent of our corporate giving has always been to have impact — not to make a statement or support a political or social agenda,” wrote Cathy. “In the future, our company will seek to make a greater impact by addressing the challenges of hunger, homelessness and education. Chick-fil-A will give to faith based and other organizations that we believe to be highly effective in a particular area.

“Grant recipients will likely rotate, as we assess from year to year partners who help us meet our stated goals,” he continued. “Also, our operators in your community will continue to invest in local causes that are meaningful at their discretion. Additionally, our family will continue to fund and operate our family foundations and give to other charities of our choice.” (Read more from “Change of Heart? Mike Huckabee: Chick-Fil-A ‘Surrendered to Anti-Christian Hate Groups’ and ‘Betrayed Loyal Customers’

Mike Huckabee has long championed Chick-fil-A in the face of attacks from the left but after the company’s announcement Monday to stop donating to two Christian organizations, he has changed his tune.

The company announced it was donating to initiatives that further its “mission of nourishing the potential in every child.” It said that in 2020 it would stop donating to two Christian organizations, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Salvation Army, that have been accused by gay rights activists of having anti-LGBTQ views.

“In Aug. 2012, I coordinated a national Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day after they were being bullied by militant hate groups,” the former Arkansas governor tweeted Monday. “Today, Chick-fil-A betrayed local customers for $$. I regret believing they would stay true to convictions of founder Truett Cathy. Sad.”

The prominent conservative Christian leader added that the popular chicken chain’s move was seen as “surrendering to critics and betraying loyal customers to appease those who despise them.” . . .

Billy Hallowell, the author of “Pure Flix,” a Christian production company, said “the fact that the mainstream media has reduced the Salvation Army — one of the most important humanitarian groups around — to an ‘anti-LGBTQ organization,’ tells us everything we need to know about our current culture.” (Read more from “Mike Huckabee: Chick-Fil-A ‘Surrendered to Anti-Christian Hate Groups’ and ‘Betrayed Loyal Customers'” HERE)
