Chick-Fil-A’s First U.K. Location Forced to Close Down

Just a little over a week after Chick-fil-A opened its first location in the United Kingdom, the restaurant will be closing because the shopping center will not extend the restaurant’s six-month lease in response to the protests of LGBTQ activists. . .

A spokesperson for The Oracle shopping center told the BBC that “the right thing to do” was to prevent the fast-food chain from doing business in response to the LGBTQ outcry.

“We always look to introduce new concepts for our customers, however, we have decided on this occasion that the right thing to do is to only allow Chick-Fil-A to trade with us for the initial six-month pilot period, and not to extend the lease any further,” said the spokesperson.

Reading Pride expressed delight over the “good news,” saying the six-month period was “reasonable request … to allow for re-settlement and notice for employees that have moved from other jobs.” Reading Pride did, however, promise to keep haranguing the restaurant with protests until it officially left the shopping center for good.

Chick-fil-A told the BBC that the organization has donated to Christian groups for youth and education, noting that they serve as home to a diverse number of employees. “There are 145,000 people – black, white; gay, straight; Christian, non-Christian – who represent Chick-fil-A,” said a spokesperson. Watch Some Crazed Vegans and Transvestites Protest the New Toronto Chick-Fil-A

It’s Friday. Everybody’s tired and can use a laugh. And nobody likes vegans. So enjoy this footage of dumb vegan protesters at Toronto’s first Chick-fil-A. There are also some transvestites yelling and screaming because… LGBT, I guess?

. . .

And you know what would happen if one of these angry transvestites went inside and ordered some food? They’d be treated just like everybody else, which is better than just about any other fast-food place I’ve ever frequented. They’re only victims in their own confused little minds. Lawsuit: City to Face the Music for Chick-Fil-A Airport Ban

On Thursday, five Texans who frequent the San Antonio airport and wish to eat Chick-fil-A there filed a lawsuit against the City of San Antonio under S.B. 1978, a new Texas law dubbed the “Save Chick-fil-A bill.” The new law forbids government actors from discriminating against religious groups or those associated with them, and removes government legal immunity from agencies that do so. The law’s passage followed the San Antonio airport’s ban on Chick-fil-A, citing “a legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior” and calling the fast food chain “a symbol of hate.”

“The city’s continued exclusion of Chick-fil-A is based ‘wholly or partly’ on Chick-fil-A’s past and present contributions, donations, and support for certain religious organizations, including the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which is provides through its WinShape, its charitable foundation,” the lawsuit explains, citing the new law directly.

In the suit, the plaintiffs ask the court: to declare that San Antonio violated the law and continues to do so; to issue an injunction to prevent the city and the company Paradies Lagardère from excluding Chick-fil-A from the airport; to issue another injunction compelling the city to install a Chick-fil-A in the airport; to issue a third injunction preventing the city from “taking any adverse action against Chick-fil-A or any other person or entity, which is based wholly or partly on that person or entity’s support for religious organizations that oppose homosexual behavior;” and to order the city to pay attorney’s fees and other appropriate relief.

“If you thought we were bluffing, now you know we’re not,” Jonathan Saenz, Esq., president of the Texas Values Coalition, said in a statement on the lawsuit. “This is just one of many lawsuits that we expect to be filed against the San Antonio City Council for their illegal ban of Chick-fil-A. The continued religious ban on Chick-fil-A by the San Antonio City Council has by left citizens with no choice but to take this case to court. Any other vendor that tries to replace Chick-fil-A at the airport will be doing so under a major cloud of long and costly litigation with the city.”

The lawsuit presents the entire story of liberal outrage at Chick-fil-A. In 2010, the restaurant company gave over $8 million to the WinShape Foundation, a charitable organization run by the family of the late Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy. WinShape donated some of that money to Bible-believing Christian organizations such as the Family Research Council (FRC), Exodus International, Alliance Defense Fund (now Alliance Defending Freedom), the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and more. Chick-Fil-A During Sunday’s Pride Parade

A Chick-fil-A in Manhattan was vandalized during a Pride Parade on Sunday, photos sent to the Daily Caller show, with messages scrawled on the glass and taped on the doors and windows.

There was no property damage nor any physical injury outlined in the report (Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays), but the vulgar messages graffitied onto the fast food restaurant were designed to intimidate.

Aside from the outright vandalism, there was plenty of hostility on display for the chicken sandwich joint during the parade.

The effort to silence — or, in the case of Chick-fil-A perhaps “starve” — the restaurant and its patrons is nothing new. it has happened time and again, with LGBT or other leftist groups attempt to drive the Christian-owned business off school campuses and out of towns. . .

In many ways the Pride movement has become indistinguishable from the #Resist Trump movement, which is itself increasingly seeing blurred lines with groups like Antifa, who infamously beat and robbed a journalist over the weekend. (Read more from “Chick-Fil-A During Sunday’s Pride Parade” HERE)

Watch: This Teenage Chick-Fil-A Employee Does Something Unheard of to Save a Choking Child

On Wednesday, a teenage boy working at a Chick-fil-A in Flowery Branch, Georgia, looked through the drive-thru window and noticed that a 6-year-old boy in a car in the drive-thru lane was choking. Not wasting a second, Logan Simmons jumped through the drive-thru window and ran to the car, where he found the mother of the boy begging for someone to help her save her child from being choked by a seatbelt that had gotten tangled around his neck. Simmons said later, “You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face … I just jumped out the window and ran straight down to the car. I think it was the quickest option. It was right there and I saw the other car right there.”

The quick-thinking Simmons yanked out his pocketknife and cut the young child free. After the incident, Simmons recalled, “I’m still kind of shocked right now myself that all this has happened.”

Simmons’ mother Teri told WSBTV, “He’d been home for a couple of hours and he said nonchalantly, ‘I saved a kid’s life today,’ and I was like ‘What?’” She added, “I’m amazed he didn’t panic. As his mother, I would have panicked. I’d be running around going, ‘Oh my gosh! What do we do?’”

An hour after the incident, the boy’s mother called Simmons and thanked him.

WSB’s Justin Wilfon asked Simmons if he thought his actions would trigger Chick-fil-A into giving him a raise; Simmons joked he might mention that to his bosses.

Now California Is Going After Chick-Fil-A

Another city has taken up the torch in the Left’s ongoing quest to hound fast-food giant Chick-fil-A.

“A San Mateo County official is pushing to stop a Chick-fil-A restaurant from opening up in Redwood City,” reports CBS Local news. “The McDonald’s restaurant on Whipple could soon be tuning into a Chick-fil-A, making it the chain’s 13th restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area.”

San Mateo County supervisor David Canepa told reporters he is seeking to prevent the restaurant from obtaining an “architectural permit” due to its founder, Dan Cathy, previously expressing support for traditional marriage and for donating funds to pro-marriage groups.

“This would not go before the city council — because it’s an existing use, it would just be administerial for the planning commission,” Canepa said. “When people think of the Chick-fil-A logo — what they think of is anti-LGBTQ.”

Canepa hopes the community pressure will be strong enough to persuade Chick-fil-A away from doing business. “What we are trying to do is to make sure Chick-fil-A — if they want to do business here — that there is a lot of pressure here and that they should do the right thing and withdraw their application,” he said. Here’s How Chick-Fil-A Employees Aided a Man Whose Car Broke down in the Drive-Thru

Chick-fil-A, which is a perpetual target of the Left because of the religious views of its ownership, proved once again the kind of working environment it promotes when employees at an East Ridge, Tennessee, restaurant helped a customer change a flat tire on his truck after it broke down in the drive-thru lane.

As reported by The Blaze, the employees not only helped the man change out his tire, as opposed to just pushing it out of the way and waiting for AAA to come finish the job, but also replaced his cold food with some fresh, hot food, along with two free cookies.

In a Facebook post, the man, a worship leader named Brian Hall, referred to the employees as “saints” as he described his encounter. “Bunch of saints over at the chickfila in east ridge! My tire somehow went flat in the drive through so they rushed out to replace it for me with their hydraulic Jack,” he said. “They brought my food out to me then after it was done replaced my food with new fresh food so it wouldn’t be cold and put two cookies in there for free! Those people are truly doing the Lord’s work over there!”

Speaking with Fox News, Hall said that the employees took customer service to a whole other level by not only helping him change out his tire but not letting him participate.

“They rushed out when they saw what happened and wouldn’t let me do a thing,” he said. “I am a carpenter and work with my hands a lot, so it was a little funny letting other people do that for me, but they insisted. U.S. Airport Bans Chick-Fil-A

By The Blaze. Chick-fil-A does not have a place in San Antonio International Airport because of what the city council calls the restaurant’s “legacy of anti-LGBTQ” behaviors. . .

Councilman Robert Treviño told the station that the council made the decision based on inclusivity.

“With this decision, the City Council reaffirmed the work our city has done to become a champion of equality and inclusion,” he said. “San Antonio is a city full of compassion, and we do not have room in our public facilities for a business with a legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior.” . . .

A restaurant representative expressed their disappointment in the decision in a statement provided to Fox News.

“The press release issued by Council Member Treviño was the first we heard of his motion and its approval by the San Antonio City Council,” the spokesperson said. “We agree with him that everyone is and should feel welcome at Chick-fil-A. We have a fundamental code of conduct at Chick-fil-A: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” (Read more from “U.S. Airport Bans Chick-Fil-A” HERE)

Smoke Shack, Spurs and Others Coming to San Antonio International; Chick-Fil-A Blocked

By KTSA. Some familiar local brands will be making their way into San Antonio International Airport’s Terminal A, but one local favorite has been banned by the city council.

The city council approved a contract Thursday with Paradies Lagardere to run and manage the concessions in the terminal. It is a seven-year contract with three one-year extension options that is guaranteed to generate $2.1 million in revenue for the city.

The deal would bring brands like Smoke Shack, Local Coffee, Sip, The Luxury, and Boss Bagels and Coffee. The agreement, as recommended by the city staff, also included a Chick-Fil-A in the airport.

The staff’s original consideration was to have a Panda Express, but staff went to Chick-Fil-A instead because of its popularity and health food considerations. (Read more from “Smoke Shack, Spurs and Others Coming to San Antonio International; Chick-Fil-A Blocked” HERE)

Chick-Fil-A Throws Surprise 100th Birthday Party for Loyal Customer

When one Florida man turned 100, staffers at his favorite local Chick-fil-A took it upon themselves to go all-out for a surprise birthday celebration.

On September 21, Stephen Bellissimo visited the chicken-centric chain in Oldsmar, as is his weekly ritual, and was shocked to find the restaurant full of family, friends and decorations on his milestone birthday. . .

According to the outlet, Bellissimo has been frequenting this same Chick-fil-A, which is roughly 6 miles outside Tampa, on a near daily basis, for the last 20 years. Known for “eating at the same booth virtually every day, ordering almost the same thing, and staying for several hours,” Bellissimo is a beloved regular, affectionately known as “Mr. Steve.” . . .

As his 100th birthday drew near, Chick-fil-A was the natural place to celebrate.

“That is the best gift I could ever receive! Thank you very much!” the birthday boy said with a laugh when he heard the news. (Read more from “Chick-Fil-A Throws Surprise 100th Birthday Party for Loyal Customer” HERE)

Chick-Fil-A Stops Service to Pray for Worker’s Surgery

Chick-fil-A has always been known for its religious spirit, and has never been shy about letting it be known. The company is so serious, it provides its employees time off on Sundays so they can spend time resting and with their family as the Lord intended.

But that spirit doesn’t end there: Chick-fil-A employees and locations are praised on a consistent basis for upholding their values, with countless guests praising their kindness, their willingness to go the extra mile and so much more.

Most recently, a North Carolina Chick-fil-A took time out of a busy day at the restaurant to ask God to watch over a beloved coworker. . .

Ms. Trish, a team member at the location, needed some support, as she was undergoing surgery for breast cancer at that very moment.

When the manager asked everyone inside the restaurant to take part in the prayer for Ms. Trish if they wanted to, customers that filled the restaurant didn’t hesitate to do so. (Read more from “Chick-Fil-A Stops Service to Pray for Worker’s Surgery” HERE)
