Democrats’ Massive Entitlement Plans Include Banning Christians From Government Childcare

Democrats’ current proposed $3.5 trillion welfare expansion would effectively ban faithful Christians from profiting from federal subsidies for separating infants and toddlers from their families.

The current text of Democrats’ massive “Build Back Better” entitlement bill contains provisions that would require religious child-care providers to disavow longstanding theology about sex in order to receive federal child-care funds under a massive new early childhood program.

“The Democrats went out of their way to make sure and prohibit religious care providers from receiving any of these funds, and unanimously rejected an amendment to allow all child-care providers to be eligible for grants, including religious providers,” said Rep. Jackie Walorski, R-Indiana, the ranking member on the House’s subcommittee on Worker and Family Support.

Democrats’ legislation would create a new federally controlled child-care entitlement available to the majority of families in the nation. The legislation authorizes up to $20 billion in the program’s first year, $30 billion in its second, $40 billion in its third, and an unlimited amount after that. The estimated cost of this program over the next ten years is $400 billion.

“Making faith-based providers of child-care and pre-kindergarten into recipients of federal financial assistance triggers federal compliance obligations and non-discrimination provisions,” note the leaders of several religious organizations in an opposition letter to Senate Democrats last week. Health Officials Say Christian Beliefs ‘Incompatible With Human Dignity’

Officials for the North Bristol National Health Service Trust in the United Kingdom are claiming the Christian beliefs of a former employee are “incompatible with human dignity,” especially when they touch on Islam and marriage.

The claims arise as part of their defense against a lawsuit brought on behalf of Brian Walker, 66, who has alleged discrimination, victimization and harassment on the part of NHS officials who say his Christian faith fails to qualify as religious or philosophical beliefs under the Equality Act.

Christian Concern is reporting on the case brought by the Christian Legal Center against the health officials for constructive dismissal when Walker resigned because of a “totalitarian” investigation of him.

Health officials treated Walker as a “terrorist,” the report explained, forcing him out of work even though he was pressured by the need to support his disabled children.

A full employment tribunal now is pending and NHS lawyers are arguing Walker’s Christian beliefs are “not worthy of respect in democratic society.” (Read more from “Health Officials Say Christian Beliefs ‘Incompatible With Human Dignity'” HERE)

Christian in Flag Fight Receives Broad Support, Including ACLU

A Christian who brought a fight to the city of Boston for arbitrarily banning the Christian flag from a public forum flagpole at city hall there is getting support from the U.S., from a long list of states, and even the ACLU.

Liberty Counsel has brought the fight on behalf of Boston resident Hal Shurtleff and his Camp Constitution to the Supreme Court.

The issue is that the city designated one flagpole a public forum and let a long list of special interest groups fly their flags for special occasions. . .

But when Shurtleff requested permission to fly the Christian flag there, the city refused.

Liberty Counsel, representing Shurtleff, this week confirmed that so far the U.S. has filed a brief in support of the case, as have 11 states and the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts. (Read more from “Christian in Flag Fight Receives Broad Support, Including ACLU” HERE)

Judge Makes Stunning Ruling for Businesses With Christian Beliefs

A federal judge has ruled that for-profit businesses when they operate on sincerely held religious beliefs are protected from liability for claims of discrimination by those who choose the LGBT lifestyles.

The company that filed the action, Braidwood, “has established Title VII places a substantial burden on its religious exercise, and defendants fail to meet the burden to show a compelling interest,” wrote the judge. “But even if their broad formulation of their interest in ‘preventing all forms of discrimination’ were sufficient, defendants have not selected the least restrictive means.

“Forcing a religious employer to hire, retain, and accommodate employees who conduct themselves contrary to the employer’s views regarding homosexuality and gender identity is not the least restrictive means of promoting that interest, especially when defendants are willing to make exceptions to Title VII for secular purposes.” . . .

The report explained the judge’s decision starts the process of resolving multiple questions left unaddressed by the Supreme Court’s decision in its Bostock case, where the justices granted anti-bias protections for sexual orientations and gender identity.

That decision was reached based on the belief that decades ago, when Congress was writing nondiscrimination law, the members, when they cited “sex,” intended that word to be understood to include transgenderism, gender identity and such. Christian Parents Launch Legal Fight Over School’s Extreme Trans Policy

Christian parents Nigel and Sally Rowe have launched a legal fight against the government in the United Kingdom over the way it has failed to protect their children from the school system’s transgender agenda.

Supported by the Christian Legal Center, Nigel, 48, and his wife Sally, 46, are seeking a judge’s review of the Department for Education’s refusal to intervene in their case and its promotion of what lawyers describe as the “politically partisan” Cornwall Schools Transgender Guidelines.

The standards were published in 2015 by activists promoting the transgender ideology, but their legitimacy has risen because of endorsement by the Department of Education.

The Rowes, from the Isle of Wight, had been given the choice by the Church of England school their sons were attending either to affirm transgenderism or be labeled “transphobic.”

They eventually were forced out the school, and now are homeschooling. (Read more from “Christian Parents Launch Legal Fight Over School’s Extreme Trans Policy” HERE)

Nurse Takes Legal Action Against Hospital Waging War on Christianity

A longtime nurse in the United Kingdom is taking legal action against a London National Health Service Trust after officials there insisted that her small cross necklace, worn in honor of her Christian faith, was a health menace.

That appeared to be a false claim, since the managers repeatedly offered her a compromise that she could wear the necklace if it was not visible, ignoring any potential health aspects of the dispute.

Officials at Christian Concern say the Christian Legal Center now is representing Mary Onuoha in her dispute with Croydon University Hospital in south London.

Her lawyers are pointing out in their case that others in the hospital were allowed to wear “jewelry, hijabs, saris, turbans and religious bracelets” without a problem under the dress code which states: “The Trust welcomes the variety of appearances brought by individual styles, choices and religious requirements regarding dress; this will be treated sensitively and will be agreed on an individual basis with the Manager and Trust and must conform to health, safety and security regulations, infection prevention and control and moving and handling guidelines. The wearing of saris, turbans, kirpan, skullcaps, hijabs, kippahs and clerical collars arising from particular cultural / religious norms are seen as part of welcoming diversity.” . . .

“NHS management exposed that the real reason for their demands was not safety and hygiene, but the visibility of the cross. In a letter to Mrs Onuoha on 9 August 2018, her line manager and Clinical Lead Practitioner, wrote: ‘I offered you a compromise of using a longer chain so your necklace was out of sight but you refused,'” the Christian Concern report explained. Anti-Christian Hysteria Has Grown Into Church-Burning Terror, And People Might Be Next

. . .In Calgary, 10 churches of various denominations were vandalized in a single night. A few days later, a Vietnamese church was set on fire — just hours after it held its first full service in more than a year. . .

Overall more than two dozen churches in Canada have been targeted over the past few weeks — and people are cheering it on. Not just anonymous people, either: On June 30, Harsha Walia, the executive director of the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association, responded to a story of another church arson, saying “Burn it all down.”

Others rallied to her defense. Naomi Sayers, a lawyer and blue Twitter checkmark, said “I would help her burn it all down … and also, I would help anyone charged with arson if they actually did burn things.” . . .

Over the past few years, across the West anti-Christian rhetoric has been tolerated, spread, and spoken in the highest stations of power. Emboldened, anti-Christian hate crimes rose across Europe and the United States, from Boston to San Francisco, and from Youngstown to El Paso. Now, even when a widespread campaign burns churches to the ground in Canada over conspiracies, exaggerations, and slanders, too many of our leaders stand idly by murmuring awkward nothings.

Can there be any doubt people will come next? If you don’t believe in the devil, you should. (Read more from “Anti-Christian Hysteria Has Grown Into Church-Burning Terror, And People Might Be Next” HERE)

SHOCK: Americans Ditch Biblical Worldview For ‘Fake Christianity’, MTD

By Western Journal. American Christianity has fallen. Thanks to cultural corrosion and a lack of biblical literacy, a new “fake Christianity” has raked the dry ground of the American church. . .

George Barna, director of research at Arizona Christian University, said MTD — or “watered-down, feel-good, fake Christianity” — is “the most popular worldview in the United States today,” according to Christianity Daily. A recent poll conducted by ACU found that 38 percent of adults hold this view.

What’s more, three out of four people who hold to MTD still consider themselves Christians. (Read more from “SHOCK: Americans Ditch Biblical Worldview For ‘Fake Christianity’, MTD” HERE)

What is MTD, and how prevalent is it in America?

By CRC Staff. New findings from the American Worldview Inventory 2021 show that nearly four of 10 adults (38%) are more likely to embrace elements of Moralistic Therapeutic Deism than other popular worldviews, including Biblical Theism (or the biblical worldview), Secular Humanism, Postmodernism, Nihilism, Marxism (along with its offshoot, Critical Theory) and Eastern Mysticism (or “New Age”). . .

Moralistic Therapeutic Deism (or MTD) was initially identified and named by sociologists Christian Smith and Melinda Lundquist Denton in their book, Soul Searching, published in 2005. It was based on national research among the teenagers of the turn of the millennium. At that time Smith and Denton identified several core beliefs that characterized the thinking and behavior of the group. Those components included:

● Belief in a God who remains distant from people’s lives
● People are supposed to be good to each other (i.e., moral)
● The universal purpose of life is being happy and feeling good about oneself
● There are no absolute moral truths
● God allows “good people” into Heaven
● God places very limited demands on people . . .

AWVI 2021, the first-ever national study of biblical and competing worldviews, found that although three out of four people (74%) who embrace MTD consider themselves to be Christians, only one-sixth (16%) qualify as born-again based on their theology. The study also found that the beliefs of the vast majority of this group conflict with basic biblical teaching. For example, they:

● Do not believe that people are sinful and need salvation through Jesus Christ (91%)
● Trust sources other than the Bible for moral guidance (88%)
● Contend that good people get to Heaven through good behavior (76%)
● Do not believe that the Bible is true and reliable communication from God (71%)

Disturbing: Christian Doctor Ordered Not To Provide Life-Saving Treatment

A Christian doctor has been ordered by a medical tribunal in the United Kingdom not to provide life-saving treatment to women who seek his help while an investigation is conducted.

Officials at Christian Concern explained Dr. Dermot Kearney, a former president of the Catholic Medical Association, is considering how to challenge the punishment imposed by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.

He was accused of providing prescriptions to women who had taken the first of two chemicals that are described as an abortion-pill process.

“It is believed to be the first time a medical doctor has been prohibited from providing a treatment that saves lives,” Christian Concern explained in a report.

Kearney has been ordered not to provide that treatment to women for up to 18 months during an investigation. (Read more from “Disturbing: Christian Doctor Ordered Not To Provide Life-Saving Treatment” HERE)

Grammy-Winning Christian Musician Announces He’s an ‘Exvangelical’

DC Talk’s Kevin Max has admitted that he is an “exvangelical,” according to the Christian Post, and is working toward “progressing” and “deconstructing.” . . .

In responses to his initial tweet, Max said that he still believes in “the Universal Christ.”

“For all those people using my post as plug & play for your own hot take or personal discourse, I offer the lyrics to an upcoming song off of my new band @AstronautsSad album ‘Adult Fears’ titled ‘It’s okay,'” he wrote. “I’m sorry for being obtuse or difficult but it’s a process … love.” . . .

The outlet reported that some of those people leaving the Christian church have begun referring to themselves as the “nones” and are promoting a movement called “deconstruction” — translated as “deconstructing one’s faith and leaving the church.” (Read more from “Grammy-Winning Christian Musician Announces He’s an ‘Exvangelical'” HERE)
