‘Xi Humiliated’: Wuhan Lab Leak Theory Gains Ground as Experts Point To Evidence in Book

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic that threw the entire world into turmoil, a furious debate has raged on about the origins of the Sars-Cov-2 virus. While China believes that the virus jumped from animals to humans, many have alleged that the virus actually leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In a new book, experts have investigated the various claims made by different groups and concluded it is “highly likely” the outbreak began in Wuhan, despite China suggesting that it may have come from Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and neighboring countries.

In a column written for Spiked, biologist and co-author of Viral: The Search for the Origin Of Covid-19, Matt Ridley lambasted Chinese scientists who not only rejected the lab leak theory as a “conspiracy” but also criticized the theory the virus emerged from wildlife trade in the Huanan seafood market in Wuhan.

In a study published in the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, chinese researchers slammed a group of American scientists who suggested that the virus emerged from a seafood market. . .

Mr Ridley noted that this paper reveals the dilemma that Xi Jinping is in.

He wrote: [China] cannot concede that the virus started in its legal or illegal wildlife trade without huge embarrassment to the Xi Jinping regime, which has encouraged the first and tried to eliminate the second. The famed Sesame Street character Elmo on Tuesday announced on social media that he, too, got vaccinated for the Chinese coronavirus, telling children “Elmo’s doctor said the vaccine would help keep Elmo healthy.”

“Elmo got the COVID vaccine today, just like Elmo’s mommy and daddy!” a social media update from Elmo’s official Twitter account read. “Elmo’s daddy had a lot of questions, but Elmo’s doctor said the vaccine would help keep Elmo healthy, and all of Elmo’s friends and family too!” it added, using the hashtag, #CaringForEachOther.

“You were super duper today, getting your COVID vaccine Elmo,” Elmo’s father said in Sesame Street clip posted to social media before seemingly talking to parents.

“I had a lot of questions about Elmo getting the COVID vaccine. Was it safe? Was it the right decision? I talked to our pediatrician so I could make the right choice,” Elmo’s father said. “I learned that Elmo getting vaccinated is the best way to keep himself our friends, neighbors and everyone else healthy and enjoying the things they love.”

China Rages Over COVID-19 ‘Lie’ After Bombshell Report

China has rubbished bombshell reports World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the Covid-19 virus emerged from a laboratory.

A senior government source reportedly told the Mail on Sunday Dr Tedros believes a “catastrophic accident” led to the virus escaping from the Wuhan Institute of Virology at the end of 2019.

Dr Tedros’ comments regarding the virus’s origins have slowly shifted to being more critical of China’s response in the pandemic’s infancy. . .

Addressing the report on Wednesday, China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin rejected the Mail on Sunday’s claims.

“The report you mentioned is entirely false and the Director-General completely refutes the story in the article,” he responded, saying the WHO has confirmed Dr Tedros’ alleged comments were never made in public or private. Not Just China: The US Government, Universities Are Hiding Evidence on the Origin of COVID-19, Experts Allege

An article published last week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) has ignited a new debate over the origin of COVID-19.

Renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs and Dr. Neil Harrison, a professor of molecular pharmacology and therapeutics at Columbia University, laid out one of the most comprehensive overviews of the evidence yet that COVID-19 could potentially have emerged from a lab in Wuhan, China. However, unlike most previous analyses, Harrison and Sachs point out that there are troves of untapped evidence potentially available right here in the United States that have not yet been investigated.

Attempts to investigate what was going on at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in the leadup to the COVID-19 pandemic have thus far been stifled by a lack of cooperation from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). However, the two authors allege that more than a half dozen institutions in the United States have evidence that could prove useful in finding where COVID-19 came from, if only they would make it public.

Most of these institutions are government agencies — the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The authors also name the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and University of California-Davis (UCD) as well as EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), the non-profit which worked directly with the WIV on bat-based coronavirus research. Americans Care More About Depp v. Heard Trial Than War, Abortion, Inflation

Americans are grappling with soaring inflation, the ongoing pandemic and the likely overturn of Roe v. Wade — but they are interested in one issue above all else.

The blockbuster defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is currently generating more social media engagement than any other topic, according to data from media monitoring platform NewsWhip.

The data firm claims that the captivating courtroom drama has garnered an average of 508 social media interactions — i.e. likes, comments and shares — for each published article over the past month.

That is almost five times as much engagement as articles pertaining to abortion (141 social media interactions) and more than 10 times as much engagement as articles about COVID-19 (44 social media interactions).

Powers That Be Shovel Fear Porn as Latest Health Crisis Breaks Out

With the COVID pandemic still affecting much of America and the world, officials are now stoking new fears about another health crisis, as President Joe Biden says monkeypox is something to “be concerned about.”

“They haven’t told me the level of exposure yet, but it is something that everybody should be concerned about,” Biden said Sunday at Osan Air Base in South Korea as he boarded Air Force One for a flight to Japan.

“We’re working on it hard to figure out what we do and what vaccine, if any, may be available for it,” he continued. “But it is a concern in the sense that if it were to spread, it’s consequential.”

Monkeypox is a usually mild infectious disease, endemic in parts of West and Central Africa. It’s spread trough close contact, and can be easily contained through hygiene and self-isolation.

CDC Is Worried Making New COVID Vaccines Will Suggest to Americans That They Don’t Actually Work

Advisers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are concerned that rolling out annual COVID-19 vaccines, after already asking Americans to get three or more shots, might create the impression that the vaccines aren’t effective at all, according to a New York Times report.

The agency, along with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is meeting next month to consider whether to roll out variant-specific COVID-19 shots for the fall, similar to what regulators and healthcare providers do for the flu every year. But the head of the CDC’s vaccine working group told the New York Times that one downside to pushing annual, variant-specific shots is that people will think they don’t work.

“Considering additional doses for a smaller and smaller return is creating an impression that we don’t have a very effective vaccination program,” said Dr. Matthew Daley, senior investigator at Kaiser Permanente Colorado and head of the CDC’s vaccine working group.

Daley and other advisers warned that yet another national vaccination campaign could “needlessly exhaust” healthcare providers for minimal gain, according to the Times. They also worried that continually pushing Americans to get booster after booster and variant-specific shots could lessen the willingness of people to get another shot down the road, in the event a more dangerous variant emerges. After Being Swindled and Fooled, Will We Learn From Our COVID Failures?

We were swindled, fooled, bamboozled and lied to during the pandemic. The public-health establishment misled the American people about the value of masking, closures and social distancing. No one has accepted blame. Understanding how badly we failed is not only an inevitable part of the “told you so” process but, more important, a lesson for next time. Just ask the Swedes.

Sweden had zero excess deaths associated with COVID-19. The United States had the most excess deaths of all nations. New York had more than Florida. That’s the whole story right there in a handful of words. . .

The key element of misdirection in the American swindle was case counts, those running numbers on screens telling us how many Americans had tested positive for COVID. If you’re curious, it looks like some 60% of us have had COVID at some point, with most of us experiencing mild or no symptoms.

How high the case numbers went in your neck of the woods depended a lot on the amount of testing taking place. More testing meant more “cases.” For me, when I had a very mild set of symptoms all clearly in line with COVID, I never even bothered to test. Like most people, I just sat around the house for a few days until I got better. My spouse, who had no symptoms, never got tested, either. Neither of us was included in the ever-growing case counts that dominated the headlines for years.

Not that it matters. The case count tells us very little. Hospitalization totals are useful for managing caseload but often are indicative of protocols like testing patients upon entry to the hospital. Many hospital treatments changed, too. Initially, many COVID-positive people were hospitalized and put on respirators. Before long, many doctors realized infections associated with long-term respirator use were killing people, too. Twisted Diary of Alleged Buffalo Shooter Reveals His Online Radicalization During COVID; Shooter Was an Eco-Socialist Racist Who Hated Fox News and Ben Shapiro

By New York Post. The avowed white supremacist who killed 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket first became radicalized during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic by scouring extremist internet messaging boards, according to his twisted online diary.

Payton Gendron, 18, spent months reflecting on his plans to conduct a mass shooting in the digital journal and said his exposure to 4Chan, an online message board known as a hotbed for extremism, kept him motivated to stick to his plans.

“My current beliefs started when I first started to use 4chan a few months after covid started,” Gendron wrote in the diary, which was posted on the Discord app and was taken down after the attack.

“Every time I think maybe I shouldn’t commit to an attack I spend 5 min [on] /pol/, then my motivation returns,” he wrote in another entry, referencing the message board’s politics section, which is known for racist and anti-semitic content. . .

“I’m not proud to kill these lads, in fact I’m desperately looking for a sign or evidence proving that I shouldn’t,” he wrote of his plans to shoot and kill black people in a crazed effort to “save” the white race. The Buffalo Shooter Was an Eco-Socialist Racist Who Hated Fox News and Ben Shapiro

The New York man who shot up a Buffalo supermarket Saturday kept no secrets about how and why he planned to murder “as many blacks as possible.” From his racist radicalization on the internet due to the coronavirus lockdowns to his specific choice of a black neighborhood with few guns — “NY has cucked gun laws,” wrote the shooter, who made clear he intended to survive the massacre — the Buffalo shooter is no enigma.

Hence, a seemingly concerted effort from the corporate media accusing the Buffalo barbarian of being some sort of Tucker Carlson acolyte would be baffling if it weren’t so transparently malicious. In the 180-page document purported to be authored by the shooter, he does not mention Carlson once. The sole explicit mention of Fox News is an infographic demarcating top Fox hosts such as Maria Bartiromo and Greg Gutfeld as Jewish. (Rupert Murdoch is decried as a “Christian Zionist” who may have Jewish ancestry, “although it’s never publicly admitted.) Ben Shapiro is mentioned multiple times, including as an example as the “rat” phenotype of Jewish people.

Moreover, the Buffalo shooter is a self-described “ethno-nationalist eco-fascist national socialist” who loathes libertarianism and conservatism in particular.

“Ask yourself, truly, what has modern conservatism managed to conserve?” the shooter wrote. “Not a thing has been conserved other than corporate profits and the ever increasing wealth of the 1% that exploit the people for their own benefit. Conservatism is dead. Thank god. Now let us bury it and move on to something of worth.”
