Teacher Allegedly Stuffed 13-Year-Old in Trunk Because She Was Afraid of COVID-19

A mother in Houston, Texas, allegedly stuffed her 13-year-old COVID-positive son into her trunk to take him to a coronavirus drive-thru testing site Monday.

Police filed charges against Sarah Beam for endangering a child Wednesday, according to KPRC. Court documents were reportedly not made public until Friday.

Beam allegedly put her son in the trunk after he had tested positive for COVID-19, KPRC reported.

Cypress-Fairbanks Director of Health Services Bevin Gordon was going to each car to gather information when she found out the child was in the trunk of the vehicle, reported KTLA.

“(The mother) stated that she put (her son) inside the trunk to prevent her from getting exposed to possible COVID while driving (him) to the stadium for additional testing,” according to a court document, KTLA reported. Former Biden Advisers Urge Him to Change COVID Strategy

Six public health advisers who previously advised President Joe Biden during his presidential transition have come forward in publishing three opinion articles in Journal of the American Medical Association urging the president to shift course on his response to COVID-19.

As the Omicron variant continues to spread throughout the country, America has seen a 247 percent increase in the number of reported cases over the past two weeks. Chicago teachers are moving to take classes online, Portland, Oregon, has shuttered its restaurants, and Capitol doctors have urged Congress to work remote.

Biden’s former advisers, who include Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel; Michael Osterholm; Dr. Celine Gounder; Rick Bright; David Michaels; and Dr. Luciana Borio, have taken a stand in urging that it is time for America to redefine the level of risk COVID-19 poses on the nation and change its response strategies as it appears all but likely that “COVID-19 is here to stay.” . .

Major Health System Terminates Hundreds of Employees for Refusing to Get COVID-19 Vaccine

Amid the nationwide spike in omicron cases, the Mayo Clinic moved forward with firing 700 employees on Tuesday who refused to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

Employees of the Rochester-based health system had until Monday to comply with the mandate or receive a religious or medical exemption.

“While final numbers are still not available, nearly 99% of staff across all Mayo Clinic locations have complied with the required vaccination program, meaning they have been vaccinated or have received medical or religious exemptions,” the clinic said in a statement.

“This means that approximately 1% of staff across all locations will be released from employment as a result of the required vaccination program,” the statement continued. “This is comparable to what other health care organizations have experienced in implementing similar vaccine requirement programs. ”

Teacher Staff Shortage So Bad in One Dem-Led State That Lawmakers Beg Retired Teachers Come Back

New Jersey lawmakers on Monday advanced an assembly bill introduced in May 2021 that would allow retired teachers to work amid staffing shortages.

The Assembly Education Committee advanced the bill, A5576, allowing those “retired from the Teachers’ Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF) to return to work full time with a board of education in a position of critical need.” Retirees would be able to collect pensions and salaries simultaneously.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has presented our schools with many challenges, including significant teacher and staff shortages in districts throughout New Jersey. We cannot allow these gaps in staffing to stand in the way of our students receiving the high-quality education our state is known for,” Democratic Assemblywomen Mila Jasey of Essex and Pamela Lampitt of Burlington said in a Jan. 4 joint statement.

“We must do everything in our power to ensure that our schools are staffed with qualified educators. With this bill we can put our students first by allowing retired teachers and staff members to return to our classrooms and schools without reenrolling in the Teachers’ Pension and Annuity Fund.”

By Fox News. mRNA vaccine platform inventor Dr. Robert Malone has been silenced by Big Tech for his take on COVID-19 and the doctor argued on “The Ingraham Angle” Monday that it’s just another media miscalculation.

“What the media doesn’t understand is that you can’t suppress information,” he said. “It’ll find a way to be free.”

Social media platforms reacted in panic after Malone’s interview with Joe Rogan, in which he applied a theory from Professor Mattias Desmet suggesting how a large population can be sent into “mass formation psychosis.”

The video was swiftly removed from YouTube, while Malone believes Google search results were also affected.

“It happened so fast, it caught Google with its pants down,” he said. “The whole weekend after Rogan posted it, that was fascinating. I had no idea that Rogan was going to put it up on New Year’s Eve, bless his heart, but it just ripped through the world.”

Censored Dr. Robert Malone Spills the Brutal Beans About Dr. Fauci

Dr. Robert Malone, who as a leading vaccine expert has known Dr. Anthony Fauci for decades, said he wasn’t surprised by the White House coronavirus adviser’s insistence that people continue to trust cloth masks, despite the growing acknowledgment that they don’t stop the spread of the virus.

“It’s Tony. What can I say? Tony has no integrity. He lies all of the time,” Malone said in an interview Monday night with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham.

“And me and my peers have been watching this for decades. We just shrug our shoulders and shake our heads and say it’s Fauci.”

Malone was commenting on a CNN “State of the Union” interview Sunday in which Fauci was asked if “cotton and surgical masks are effective at stopping the spread of omicron.”

Governor Makes Stunning Admission About COVID Hospitalizations

Acknowledging that the number of hospitalizations due to COVID-19 has been overstated, New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul announced hospitals now must clarify if patients with the novel coronavirus came to the hospital due to symptoms of COVID-19 or because of another health issue.

Saying she wants to “always be honest with New Yorkers about how bad this is,” Hochul said the state had reached “a critical moment” and “we’re going to start asking some questions.”

“We talked about the hospitalizations. I have always wondered, we’re looking at the hospitalizations of people testing positive in a hospital,” she said Monday. “Is that person in the hospital because of COVID or did they show up there and are routinely tested and showing positive and they may have been asymptomatic or even just had the sniffles?”

An example, she said, someone who gets in a car accident, goes to the emergency room and tests positive for COVID.

‘Flurona’: Country Records 1st Case of Patient With Both COVID-19 and Flu

Israel has recorded what is widely believed to be the first case of “flurona” disease, a double infection of coronavirus and seasonal flu in an unvaccinated pregnant woman, according to local reports.

The unnamed woman displayed mild symptoms of the virus at Rabin Medical Center in the city of Petah Tikva on Dec. 30, Hamodia reported. She is doing well and was expected to be discharged from the hospital later on Thursday, according to officials.

“She was diagnosed with the flu and coronavirus as soon as she arrived. Both tests came back positive, even after we checked again,” said professor Arnon Vizhnitser, an obstetrics and gynecology specialist and the director of the hospital’s Gynecology Department. “The disease is the same disease; they’re viral and cause difficulty breathing since both attack the upper respiratory tract.”

Vizhnitser said he is seeing more and more cases of individuals who have contracted both coronavirus and seasonal flu at the same time. Both contagious respiratory illnesses can present similar symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, fever, muscle or body aches, and fatigue.

Why the Omicron Variant Is Good News

The new omicron Covid-19 variant is good news. Probably.

Pushed by media panic, some governments are cracking down, again, as the omicron strain spreads. But while omicron seems to be very contagious, it also appears to be significantly less dangerous than either the original recipe coronavirus or the delta variant.

How much of this change is due to increased population resistance from vaccines and prior infections, and how much is due to differences between viral strains, is still being studied, but there are reasons to believe omicron is intrinsically less likely to cause serious illness or death. This is not, of course, to say that omicron is harmless, only that it is, on average, less harmful.

Of course, all the usual caveats about early days and early data apply to our understanding of the variant. Back in March 2020, I laid out some reasons we could not count on a milder COVID-19 variant to bail us out of the pandemic, and for nearly two (very long) years this counsel held true.

But now the right mutation may have happened at the right moment. Still, it is reasonable for scientists, doctors, and officials to want better data before making optimistic pronouncements. (Read more from “Why the Omicron Variant Is Good News” HERE)

Massive anti-lockdown demonstrations in Amsterdam turned into real violence with protesters mauled by police dogs and beaten with batons in the streets. The COVID compliance police went to extraordinary lengths to be physically violent as noted in the videos from the protest. WATCH:

Another video shows just how massive this crowd was; and, at any given moment, if this crowd REALLY wanted to turn the tables on the police and put blood on the streets, it would have been entirely possible.

By Daily Mail. Riot police tried to break up thousands of Dutch protesters as crowds gathered in Amsterdam to protest Covid lockdown and vaccination measures in the Netherlands today.

Demonstrators, most of whom were mask-less and ignored social distancing guidelines, defied the local government’s outlawing of the protest due to fears some demonstrators might be planning to attend ‘prepared for violence’. . . .

The demonstration came on the same day Dutch police said they would take action to protest the increasing demands of their work, but union representatives said riot police would continue to work if necessary.

At least 30 people were detained after scuffles, during which four officers were injured, police said in a statement. Majority of Antarctica Station Researchers Get COVID Despite Being Fully Vaccinated, Passing Multiple Tests, Quarantining, and Living Miles From Civilization

Nearly two-thirds of the staff based at the Princess Elisabeth Polar Station in Antarctica have been infected with COVID-19 despite having strict health protocols in place to try to stop the spread of the respiratory disease.

Since Dec. 14, at least 16 of the 25 workers at the Princess Elisabeth Polar Station have caught the coronavirus. The first case was a researcher who had arrived at the base seven days earlier.

The infected researchers were put into quarantine following the positive test. There are two emergency doctors at the Princess Elisabeth Polar Station treating the COVID-positive researchers.

The spread of COVID-19 was surprising for many since all of the researchers were fully vaccinated. The scientists also had to take several PCR tests and quarantine before traveling to the polar station.
