Health Department Requires Healthcare Providers to Discriminate Based on Race When Providing COVID Treatment

The New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) is requiring healthcare providers to prioritize non-white patients when administering oral antiviral treatment for COVID-19.

The department issued a health advisory notice Monday announcing that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved paxlovid and molnupiravir as oral antiviral treatments for the coronavirus, and it provided the eligibility criteria for receiving the drugs.

The criteria state that the drugs are authorized for patients who meet all of the stated criteria, which include patients who “have a medical condition or other factors that increase their risk for severe COVID-19 illness.”

The notice ordered providers to adhere to the department’s COVID-19 guidance for prioritizing anti-COVID-19 antivirals as well as monoclonal antibody treatment products. This guidance explicitly lists non-white ethnicity as a risk factor, and it instructs providers to prioritize non-white people when administering treatment.

CDC Warns People to Avoid Cruise Ships

Following a major spike in COVID-19 cases on cruises, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday that Americans should “avoid cruise ships, regardless of vaccination status.” The CDC also raised the risk level for cruising to the health agency’s highest warning level, citing “increases in cases onboard cruise ships since identification of the omicron variant.”

“Avoid cruise travel, regardless of vaccination status,” the CDC warned. “Even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants.”

“The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads easily between people in close quarters on board ships, and the chance of getting COVID-19 on cruise ships is very high, even if you are fully vaccinated and have received a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose,” the CDC guidance said.

Fauci ADMITS Majority of Children Hospitalized With COVID-19 Aren’t There Because of the Virus

White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted that many children being hospitalized with COVID-19 are there for reasons other than the virus, and just happened to test positive for it upon being admitted.

Fauci appeared in an interview on the Rachel Maddow show Wednesday evening, and was asked about an ongoing increase in children’s hospitalizations with the virus. Hospitalizations have ticked up as the Omicron variant has caused a surge in new cases, but overall deaths are stagnant from the virus.

“Quantitatively, you’re having so many more people, including children, who are getting infected. And even though hospitalization among children is much much lower on a percentage basis than hospitalizations for adults, particularly elderly individuals,” Fauci said when asked why there’s been an increase in hospitalizations even though Omicron is more mild than prior variants. “However, when you have such a large volume of infections among children, even with a low level of rate of infection, you’re gonna still see a lot more children who get hospitalized.”

“But the other important thing, is that if you look at the children who are hospitalized, many of them are hospitalized with COVID, as opposed to because of COVID,” he continued. “And what we mean by that, if a child goes in the hospital, they automatically get tested for COVID, and they get counted as a COVID hospitalized individual. When in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that.”

Scientist Surprised by Discovery of ‘99%’ Effective, Cheap COVID Treatment

The scientist who combined two widely available over-the-counter compounds that inhibited the novel coronavirus by 99% in early tests told WND he’s hopeful his treatment will be available “within months.”

“An FDA-approved treatment could be in sight within months if pharmaceutical companies utilize existing clinical trial resources,” said Dr. David Ostrov in an email interview with WND.

Ostrov, an immunologist and associate professor in the University of Florida College of Medicine’s department of pathology, immunology and laboratory medicine, combined diphenhydramine, which is marketed as Benadryl, and lactoferrin, a protein in milk, as WND reported in December.

“My prediction is that antiviral drug combinations, such as diphenhydramine and lactoferrin, will provide a similar level of benefit as Regeneron monoclonal antibodies, Pfizer and Merck antivirals, at less than 1/100 the cost of those therapies,” he told WND.

Preparations are underway for an anti-vaccine-mandate protest at the National Mall in Washington, but citizens across Europe and Down Under have been holding mass demonstrations for some time now, including over the holiday weekend.

The march in Washington on Jan. 23 will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Washington Monument and conclude at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, about one mile away. Called Defeat the Mandate DC, it’s organized by The Unity Project, Children’s Health Defense and the International Alliance of Physicians and Medical Scientists.

“The mandates are un-American. Stop the mass firings. Stop segregating by vaccination status. Stop calling Americans ‘unpatriotic’ for making a personal medical choice,” the organizers declare on their website.

In New York City on Monday, protesters against vaccine mandates crossed the Brooklyn Bridge chanting “We the people will not comply.”

Startling Report: Doctors Given Bonus to Euthanize ‘Severely Hospitalized’ COVID Patients

The New Zealand government has announced that patients admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 can be killed via euthanasia, according to Scoop.

In November, anti-euthanasia group #DefendNZ asked the New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) questions about the practice of the nation’s End of Life Choice Act (EOLC Act). One of these questions was, “Could a patient who is severely hospitalised with Covid-19 potentially be eligible for assisted suicide or euthanasia under the Act if a health practitioner viewed their prognosis as less than 6 months?”

The EOLC Act states that a person who has a “terminal illness that is likely to end the person’s life within 6 months” may die by euthanasia. Eligibility for both euthanasia and assisted suicide is determined by the attending medical practitioner and an independent medical practitioner.

CDC Drastically Changes COVID Quarantine Rules

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cut its recommendation on Monday for the length of time for isolations and quarantines of those people who test positive for the coronavirus.

Previously the CDC recommended an isolation period of 10 days for people who tested positive but were asymptomatic, but the new guidance says those people can isolate for only five days if they are vaccinated.

“Given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening the recommended time for isolation from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to five days, if asymptomatic, followed by five days of wearing a mask when around others,” read a statement from the CDC. Blue States Are Raging With COVID. Why Are Democrats Spreading So Much Virus?

Of the top 10 states (including Washington, D.C.) with the highest COVID-19 infection rate at the moment, seven of them are governed by Democrats.

Unfortunately for CNN and MSNBC, that fact can’t be directly traced to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis so they’ve chosen not to really talk about it, but if they did, they might ask what Democrats are doing so wrong in D.C. (averaging 1,313 new cases each day), New York (32,566), New Jersey (14,028), Rhode Island (1,382), Delaware (1,029), Illinois (12,426), and Hawaii (1,361).

What’s going on? Why aren’t they Following The Science? Are Democrats trying to kill people?

The national media’s beloved New York, the place Saint Anthony Fauci once said was doing everything “correctly,” has seen a 55 percent increase in hospitalizations as of Monday. Study Suggests Coronavirus Lingers in Organs for Months

Data from a new study suggests that the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 can persist in different parts of the body for months after infection, including the heart and brain.

Scientists at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) found the virus can spread widely from the respiratory tract to almost every other organ in the body and linger for months.

The researchers described the study as the “most comprehensive analysis to date” of the virus’s persistence throughout the body and brain. They performed autopsies on 44 patients who died either from or with COVID-19 to map and quantify virus distribution across the body.

Daniel Chertow, principal investigator in the NIH’s emerging pathogens section, said along with his colleagues that RNA from the virus was found in patients up to 230 days after symptom onset.

Omicrommon Cold? New Variant Is So Mild It’s Mistaken for Cold

Many cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 are so mild, infected Americans are struggling to determine whether they have the virus or the common cold.

Cases of the virus are surging nationwide as the Omicron variant has become dominant in a matter of weeks. But deaths and hospitalizations are lagging behind, and many of those infected are reporting symptoms that more closely resemble a cold or the flu than a serious, deadly disease.

Three groups of researchers, from South Africa, Scotland and England, all found that the Omicron variant is less likely to send patients to the hospital than the Delta or Alpha strains of COVID-19, according to The New York Times. The study from South Africa found that the variant is up to 80% less severe.

That has prompted some media outlets to begin printing guides on how to tell Omicron from the common cold. According to The Washington Post, “health experts warn the symptoms that previously helped people to gauge whether they had a cold, flu or covid-19 are no longer the useful marker they once were.” (Read more from “Omicrommon Cold?
