Pets Adopted During the Pandemic Are Being Returned in Record Numbers (VIDEO)

Pet owners who adopted during the pandemic are reportedly beginning to ditch their animals at shelters now that COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted and workers are returning to the office.

“We’re starting to see now what we think will be a longer-term trend of some of those pandemic pets, if you want to call them that, starting to be given up,” Peter Laurie, who is chief executive of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London, told Bloomberg Quicktake.

The number of dogs and cats returned to the shelter has doubled over the last few months — and it’s only expected to get worse.

“I think that’s going to happen as people gradually returned to offices, start thinking about taking holidays as well. I think very sadly we’re going to see [people] returning their dogs and cats because a lot of people bought puppies early in the pandemic,” he told the outlet.

FDA Clears This COVID Vaccine for 12 to 15 Year-Olds; Healthy Teen Gets Blood Clots In Brain After Shot (VIDEO)

By Townhall. In an announcement made late Monday afternoon, the Food and Drug Administration announced it was including those aged 12 to 15 in the emergency use authorization for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine.

Acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock called the expanded clearance “a significant step in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,” adding Monday’s announcement is “bringing us closer to returning to a sense of normalcy and to ending the pandemic” and that “parents and guardians can rest assured that the agency undertook a rigorous and thorough review of all available data” in making their decision.

Healthy Teenager Gets Blood Clots In Brain After Shot

By WND. A mother in Utah is warning parents about the possible dangers of COVID-19 vaccines after her 17-year-old, basketball-playing son got a shot and developed three blood clots in and near his brain. . .

The mother is Cherie Romney of Draper, Utah.

“The hardest thing was I let him get that shot. And he was healthy and well before,” she told the station. “But you question it, you can’t help but question it when it all goes wrong.” . . .

The same day a troubling national jobs report showed businesses can’t hire workers partly because politicians have risked inflation to make everyone welfare recipients in the name of “COVID relief,” Wisconsin Democrats put out a video calling for people to “show us your stimmy shimmy.” After an outcry on Twitter, the Democrat account deleted the video, but another user saved it:

The video shows people dancing about getting a “stimmy,” or stimulus check, and having “$$$ in the bank” and “$$$ in the pocket.” “Thank you POTU$,” reads one caption.

Approximately 83 percent of American tax filers were sent the latest round of “stimulus” checks Congress approved after Joe Biden took office, including tens of millions who never lost jobs in the past year of rolling government lockdowns. Couples could earn as much as $160,000 per year and still get one of the deficit-funded checks that totaled up to $1,400 per person.

Nine million net jobs were lost due to COVID shutdowns, while so far 161 million Americans have gotten checks. In addition to repeatedly sending nearly everyone checks, Congress also boosted unemployment benefits so that many Americans can currently make more money not working than by going back to work.

Indians Using Fake IDs With Donald Trump’s Name To Thwart Lockdown

Police in northern India’s Himachal Pradesh are investigating at least two cases of people using fake Chinese coronavirus E-passes — one bearing the name of former U.S. President Donald Trump and another of the famous Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan — to enter the region during an ongoing coronavirus lockdown.

“HP [Himachal Pradesh] Police is in receipt of a complaint regarding fake registration in the name of Mr. Donald Trump and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in the Covid [Chinese coronavirus] e-pass platform,” the Himachal Pradesh State Police Department wrote in a Twitter statement issued May 7.

“The passes were under [the] essential service provider category. The one in the name of ‘Donald Trumph’ [sic] called him the son of ‘Mark Jones’ and said he was to visit ‘Parkash Sharma.’ The other said Bachhan, the son of ‘Harbans Rai Bachhan’, was to meet ‘Rajiv Sehjal.’ The passes were valid for May 7 only,” the Times of India reported on May 8. WATCH: Pastor Arrested for Holding Church Service

Canadian pastor Artur Pawlowski was arrested on Saturday for committing the crime of holding a church service, which violated Alberta’s public health orders.

Pawlowski, who went viral last month for the video of him kicking Canadian police and a health official out of his church while calling them “gestapo,” held church service on Saturday in Alberta where “dozens were congregating without masks, with no regard for physical distancing,” according to the Calgary Herald.

However, less than an hour after the church service, Pawlowski was arrested by police, who he famously labeled as “Nazis” the last time authorities came to his church to serve him court papers. The car that Pawlowski was traveling in was pulled over on a highway by at least six police vehicles. The Calgary Police informed Pawlowski and his brother Dawid Pawlowski that they were being arrested for violating the public health orders for gatherings because of Saturday’s church service.

Further Evidence That COVID Vaccine May Alter Human DNA

A team of prominent scientists has doubled down on its controversial hypothesis that genetic bits of the pandemic coronavirus can integrate into our chromosomes and stick around long after the infection is over. If they are right—skeptics have argued that their results are likely lab artifacts—the insertions could explain the rare finding that people can recover from COVID-19 but then test positive for SARS-CoV-2 again months later.

Stem cell biologist Rudolf Jaenisch and gene regulation specialist Richard Young of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, who led the work, triggered a Twitter storm in December 2020, when their team first presented the idea in a preprint on bioRxiv. The researchers emphasized that viral integration did not mean people who recovered from COVID-19 remain infectious. But critics charged them with stoking unfounded fears that COVID-19 vaccines based on messenger RNA (mRNA) might somehow alter human DNA. . .

SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, has genes composed of RNA, and Jaenisch, Young, and co-authors contend that on rare occasions an enzyme in human cells may copy the viral sequences into DNA and slip them into our chromosomes. The enzyme, reverse transcriptase, is encoded by LINE-1 elements, sequences that litter 17% of the human genome and represent artifacts of ancient infections by retroviruses. In their original preprint, the researchers presented test tube evidence that when human cells spiked with extra LINE-1 elements were infected with the coronavirus, DNA versions of SARS-CoV-2’s sequences nestled into the cells’ chromosomes.

Many researchers who specialize in LINE-1 elements and other “retrotransposons” thought the data were too thin to support the claim. “If I would have had this data, I would have not submitted to any publication at that point,” says Cornell University’s Cedric Feschotte, who studies endogenous retrovirus chunks in the human genome. He and others also said they expected higher quality work coming from scientists of the caliber of Jaenisch and Young. In two subsequent studies, both posted on bioRxiv, critics presented evidence that the supposed chimeras of human and viral DNA traces are routinely created by the very technique the group used to scan for them in chromosomes. Johns Hopkins Doctor Dismisses Fear-Mongering: ‘Most of the Country Is at Herd Immunity’ (VIDEO)

Dr. Marty Makary, a surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital, disputed CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky’s contention that COVID-19 variants could set back the march to herd immunity from COVID-19 during a Thursday afternoon appearance on Fox News’ “The Story.”

Walensky on Wednesday called the various COVID-19 scariants, er, variants a “wild card” that could “reverse” the progress made so far.

In an op-ed for the New York Post published Tuesday titled “Don’t buy the fearmongering: The COVID-19 threat is waning,” Makary argued against buying into the “fear” that variants could “evade vaccines.”

Look at the facts: About 57 percent of adults are vaccinated and approximately half of unvaccinated people have natural immunity from prior infection. That’s why US cases have been plummeting, down 31 percent over the past 18 days.

To put things in context, during the mildest flu season in the last eight years, there were 24 million cases, according to the Centers for Disease Control, and approximately 447,000 daily cases during its peak week. By comparison, we’re averaging 49,641 daily COVID cases. That same mild flu season resulted in 280,000 hospitalizations. By comparison, current COVID hospitalizations as of May 1 are 34,905.

Let me be clear: COVID is not the flu, and we should not downplay the risk among susceptible people. But for the millions of Americans who are immune and live where the cases are low, the public-health threat is now defanged and below seasonal-flu levels. Given the harm of social isolation, we need to abandon the goal of absolute risk elimination at all cost.

White Farmer Sues Biden Over ‘Racist’ COVID Relief

A white Wisconsin dairy farmer is suing the Biden administration for its “racist” coronavirus relief plan.

Adam Faust, a disabled farmer, is one of five people in the state last week to sue the administration over the terms of the American Rescue Plan, which provides aid to “socially disadvantaged” farmers. In a federal lawsuit filed in Green Bay, the group alleges that since that definition only includes minority groups and not white people, they have been denied equal protection under the law.

“Were plaintiffs eligible for the loan forgiveness benefit, they would have the opportunity to make additional investments in their property, expand their farms, purchase equipment and supplies, and otherwise support their families and local communities,” attorneys for the farmers wrote. “Because plaintiffs are ineligible to even apply for the program solely due to their race, they have been denied the equal protection of the law and therefore suffered harm.”

Faust told the local Fox affiliate that the plan is “out and out racist.”

U.S. County Takes National Lead In Pushing Back Against Vaccine Passports

On April 4, the commissioners of St. Joseph County, Indiana passed a resolution against vaccine passports, saying they would “unduly and unnecessarily restrict the freedom of Americans; harm patient privacy; and have a negative financial impact of individuals of color and other marginalized communities.”

It is a bold move for a community, and taking ownership of an issue where you live is smart. That’s why I’ve worked to help this resolution pass in my home of St. Joseph County, location of South Bend. South Bend is is famous for the University of Notre Dame and for former mayor, now Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

St. Joseph County is one of the first localities nationally to take such a stand. The move pushes back against the lockdown mentality from public health authorities across the nation.

St. Joseph County’s health officer was probably the first in the state to issue a public health order demanding masks in 2020, long before the governor ever implemented his own mandate. Locals fought back and sued the county and its health officer, Robert Einterz. He admitted in court he never had the legal authority to force citizens to wear masks. . .

The truth is, vaccine passport programs aren’t going to just roll out in big, blue cities and states like New York, which already has its Excelsior Pass underway. Vaccination against a disease many Americans already have immunity to and many are at low risk from threatens to become an essential requirement to participate in communities all over the country. Institutional Racism? Biden Coronavirus Relief Prioritizes Funds for Non-White Business Owners; Scammers Defrauded Relief Funds Out of Millions

By Breitbart. Restaurants and venues owned by white men will be last in line for federal relief under President Joe Biden’s “Restaurants Revitalization Fund” (RRF), prioritizing funds for women and minority groups first.

As part of Biden’s American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the Small Business Administration (SBA) is opening the application process by which owners of restaurant, bars, and other venues can apply for federal relief to help make up for the loss of revenue as a result of economic lockdowns spurred by the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

The plan allows business owners to apply for relief of up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Business owners do not have to repay the funds so long as the money is spent by March 2023.

The relief, though, is being prioritized based on race, gender, and whether or not business owners are considered “socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.” White men, for example, who are not Veterans of the United States Armed Forces, are not eligible for “priority period” processing and funding.

Under the guidelines of the RRF, the SBA is giving priority processing and funding to “small business owned by women, veterans, or socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.” (Read more from “Institutional Racism? Scammers Allegedly Claimed to Run Churches, Defrauded Coronavirus Relief Funds Out of Millions

By Fox Business. Six people allegedly defrauded government coronavirus relief programs of $3.3 million last year by claiming to run churches that care for the needy.

Terrence Pounds, Charles Tiller, Terri Davis, Randolph Nunn, Samira Abdul-Karim and Quwan Simmons were all charged with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud on Tuesday, according to the Department of Justice. . .

The government alleged that Pounds acted as the ring leader in the scheme and would have the other five send him their personal information, which he would use to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Paycheck Protection Program loans. Once the loans went through, the applicant would then allegedly send Pounds a portion of the fraudulently obtained proceeds.

Under one loan application, Pounds allegedly said he operated “Truth Ministries Global Inc,” which he claimed was a “Faith Based Organization” or “Church.”

“We feed the less fortunate and underprivileged, we visit the prisons, we have 24 hours per day and 7 days per week phone line open for prayers and counseling,” Pounds allegedly wrote in the loan application, according to an indictment. “We have church services twice per week.” (Read more from “Scammers Allegedly Claimed to Run Churches, Defrauded Coronavirus Relief Funds Out of Millions” HERE)
