Dem Governor Forced To Apologize for Violating Her Own COVID Rules

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer apologized after she was caught violating one of her own coronavirus-related orders.

On May 15, the state’s Department of Health and Human Services issued an order disallowing groups of more than six people to be seated together at a restaurant, and each party has to be separated by six feet. However, the governor was caught disregarding that rule on Saturday.

Whitmer was spotted at the Landshark Bar & Grill in East Lansing. A photograph of the group with Whitmer showing tables pushed tougher and no masks being worn was briefly posted on social media. Her chief operating officer, Tricia Foster, was also at the event.

“Throughout the pandemic, I’ve been committed to following public health protocols,” Whitmer said Sunday in a statement. “Yesterday, I went with friends to a local restaurant. As more people arrived, the tables were pushed together. Because we were all vaccinated, we didn’t stop to think about it.”

WATCH: Grandmother Arrested After Refusing to Wear Face Mask at School Board Meeting

Kate Bossi, a grandmother and Sunday school teacher from New Hampshire, was arrested on Thursday after refusing to wear a face mask at a school board meeting.

Just moments after Bossi arrived at the Timberlane Regional School Board meeting to demand that children no longer be required to wear face masks in school, police arrested Bossi for refusing to wear a face mask.

Video of the incident shows police officers forcibly arrest Bossi after she entered an auditorium without wearing a mask.

“You are violating my rights right now. You are remiss,” Bossi said.

Another man shouted, “Come on Sgt. Porter, you know this is wrong what they’re doing to our kids,” according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

New Revelations From Inside China Indicate Actual Location of COVID-19 Military Origin

Information obtained within the last 24 hours from a source inside China challenges the popular narrative about the laboratory origin of COVID-19.
There is now no doubt that the COVID-19 virus was created in a laboratory.

Although, most believe it leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The “bat woman” Zheng-Li Shi of the Wuhan Institute of Virology denies that her institute was the source.

Zheng-Li Shi claims that she and her colleagues discovered the virus in late 2019, in samples from patients who had a pneumonia of unknown origin.

“Before that, we had never been in contact with or studied this virus, nor did we know of its existence,” Shi wrote.

“U.S. President Trump’s claim that SARS-CoV-2 was leaked from our institute totally contradicts the facts,” Zheng-Li Shi added.

She may be partially correct.

I have long said that the creation of the COVID-19 virus was a collaboration among a number of Chinese military centers, not the sole result of “gain of function” experiments conducted exclusively at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Although still a developing story, here is a summary:

1. A fully-formed or nearly fully-formed COVID-19 virus arrived at the Wuhan Institute of Virology from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command in the early months of 2019.

2. Contrary to the popular narrative, the COVID-19 virus was sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology primarily for testing.

3. The testing was assigned to a group of young virologists. The name of the leader of that group is known and the leader’s scientific background is consistent with that role.

4. Testing was done on non-human primates.

The following comments are based on that information.

The Biosafety Level 4 laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Virology is in Jiangxia District of Wuhan, which is about 12 miles south of Wuchang District, the early epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak.

It is not clear that the Biosafety Level 4 laboratory in Jiangxia District had the capability to conduct experiments using non-human primates.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences’ own website states:

The National Biosafety Laboratory, Wuhan (NBL4) has 2 cellular biosafety labs, 1 small-sized animal lab, 1 medium-sized animal lab, and 1 culture (virus) collection & use lab.”

In contrast, the Wuhan University Animal Experiment Center and the Animal Biosafety Level 3 Laboratory does have the capability to conduct non-human primate experiments.

The following photos are from a Chinese-language publication showing the inside of the restricted Wuhan University Animal Experiment Center and the Animal Biosafety Level 3 Laboratory, specifically the non-human primate facility.

That research facility is inside the epicenter of the early COVID-19 outbreak and nearby a major Chinese People’s Liberation Army hospital complex.

It is possible that the COVID-19 virus was released while undergoing tests in Wuhan.

In a previous TGP article, I speculated that the furin polybasic cleavage site, the “smoking gun” for the laboratory origin of COVID-19, was inserted by Chinese People’s Liberation Army scientists connected to the PLA Southern Medical University in Guangzhou.

Multiple infections, that is. “serial passaging” through non-human primates could have partially pre-adapted the COVID-19 virus for human infection. Alternatively, the COVID-19 could have been pre-adapted by serial passaging through genetically-altered mice strains expressing human receptors for the COVID-19 virus.

Bus Driver Caught on Video Assaulting Child for Not Wearing Mask Properly

A school bus driver has admitted to slapping a 10-year-old girl for not wearing her face mask properly. The Colorado school bus driver caught on video slapping the young girl has since been fired and faces multiple charges.

A surveillance camera caught Bertram Jaquez on camera smacking a student in the face over a mask dispute. The video shows the bus driver confronting the girl at her seat on the vehicle. She allegedly moved the mask under her nose because she said, “I get sick from mask[s],” according to a statement the girl wrote about the incident that occurred in Fremont County.

Other children on the bus told the unnamed girl to put her mask back on. The girl wrote that she “yelled at them and said you shut up your [sic] not involved in this.” When she didn’t put her mask on correctly, the other kids informed the bus driver.

The bus driver told the child to put her mask all the way on, but she refused. “Out of reaction, I slapped her once,” Jaquez said in a written statement to the school district.

In her written statement to the school district, the 10-year-old girl said, “The bus driver slapt [sic] me.”

New Research Shows Number of Kids Hospitalized for COVID Is Majorly Overcounted

The reported number of COVID-19 hospitalizations, one of the primary metrics for tracking the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, was grossly inflated for children in California hospitals, two research papers published Wednesday concluded. The papers, both published in the journal Hospital Pediatrics, found that pediatric hospitalizations for COVID-19 were overcounted by at least 40 percent, carrying potential implications for nationwide figures.

Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious-diseases specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, and Amy Beck, an associate professor of pediatrics, also at UCSF, wrote a commentary for Hospital Pediatrics that accompanied the two studies. They wrote, “Taken together, these studies underscore the importance of clearly distinguishing between children hospitalized with SARS-CoV-2 found on universal testing versus those hospitalized for COVID-19 disease.” The studies demonstrate, they said, that reported hospitalization rates “greatly overestimate the true burden of COVID-19 disease in children.” Gandhi told Intelligencer that while the studies were both conducted with data from California hospitals, “there is no reason to think these findings would be exclusive to California. This sort of retrospective chart review will likely reveal the same findings across the country.”

The implications of the findings of these two studies are enormously important, as reports of pediatric hospitalizations have regularly made headlines over the past year, greatly affecting public perceptions about risks to children. Untold numbers of parents have kept children home from school or limited playdates and other activities out of fear their children would be infected and fall seriously ill. The hospitalization numbers for children were already extremely low relative to adults — at the pandemic’s peak this winter, it was roughly ten times lower than for 18-to-49-year-olds and 77 times lower than those age 65 and up. But cutting the pediatric numbers by nearly half is a striking difference, making the actual rates vanishingly small. Pediatric hospitalization figures for COVID-19 also influence policy on school openings and guidelines, camp recommendations, and other political decisions. Gandhi and Beck’s commentary noted, “Children have suffered tremendously due to policies that have kept schools and recreational facilities closed to them, and the burden has been greatest on children who are low-income and English-language learners.”

In one study, conducted at a children’s hospital in Northern California, among the 117 pediatric SARS-CoV2-positive patients hospitalized between May 10, 2020, and February 10, 2021, the authors concluded that 53 of them (or 45 percent) “were unlikely to be caused by SARS-CoV-2.” The reasons for hospital admission for these “unlikely” patients included surgeries, cancer treatment, a psychiatric episode, urologic issues, and various infections such as cellulitis, among other diagnoses. The study also found that 46 (or 39.3 percent) of patients coded as SARS-CoV2 positive were asymptomatic. In other words, despite patients’ testing positive for the virus as part of the hospital’s universal screening, COVID-19 symptoms were absent, therefore it was not the reason for the hospitalization. Any instance where the link between a positive SARS-CoV2 test and cause of admission was uncertain the authors erred toward giving a “likely” categorization. New GOP Intel Shows ‘Overwhelming’ Evidence COVID Originated in Wuhan Lab

House Intelligence Committee Republicans released a report on the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday and pointed the finger directly at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, arguing there is “overwhelming circumstantial evidence” supporting the hypothesis COVID-19 originated in the lab.

Officials from both the Trump and Biden administrations have said the Chinese government worked for over a year to thwart an independent investigation into the origins of the virus. Both administrations cast doubt on the manner in which a joint study from China and the World Health Organization was conducted earlier this year. Though the WHO-China report said a jump from animals to humans was most likely, numerous Trump officials have pointed to an accidental escape from the Wuhan lab as a highly plausible, or the most likely, origin for the pandemic.

Led by Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the 21-page Republican report, In Focus: COVID-19 and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, laid out what the congressmen saw as the case for considering a leak from a Wuhan lab.

It assessed that the Wuhan lab was secretly working with the Chinese military and conducting gain-of-function research and pointed to the possibility that U.S. funding may have ended up helping the lab with those experiments. Is COVID Over? Fauci Finally Admits What We All Knew About the Vaccine, Masks, and Infections; Biden WARNS Unvaccinated: ‘You ‘Will End Up Paying the Price’

By Townhall. . .Over the weekend, Fauci finally said what we’ve known about the vaccine. That they’re super effective to the point that it’s a “dead end” for the virus. Also, even the very rare cases of infection post-vaccination, which are all asymptomatic, these people still don’t need to wear a mask since their virus load is immensely low and do not risk spreading the disease (via The Hill):

Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Biden, said during a discussion on Sunday about the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) decision to drop mask recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals that vaccinated people become “dead ends” for COVID-19.

Appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Fauci explained to host John Dickerson that fully vaccinated people can go without masks even if they have an asymptomatic case of COVID-19 because the level of virus is much lower in their nasopharynx, the top part of their throat that lies behind the nose, than it is in someone who is unvaccinated.

“So even though there are breakthrough infections with vaccinated people, almost always the people are asymptomatic and the level of virus is so low it makes it extremely unlikely — not impossible but very, very low likelihood — that they’re going to transmit it,” Fauci said.
Fauci added that vaccinated people essentially become “dead ends” for the virus to spread within their communities.

Biden Warns Unvaccinated: ‘You ‘Will End Up Paying the Price’

By PJ Media. Joe Biden and other political leaders are doing everything they can to get the vaccine stragglers to do their patriotic, civic duty and get vaccinated against the coronavirus. Ohio has begun a million-dollar lottery to encourage people to take the vaccine. Other states are giving out free beer for getting jabbed or other enticements.

But Joe Biden thinks that strong-arming the American people into getting jabbed will be effective. The president gave a talk about progress against the virus at the White House on Monday,

Fox News:

The president highlighted that “deaths are down from COVID by 81%,” which he said was “their lowest level since April of 2020.”

But he cautioned that “I can’t promise that will continue this way. We know there will be advances and setbacks and we know that may flareups could occur. But if the unvaccinated get vaccinated, they’ll protect themselves and other unvaccinated people around them.”

And the president warned that “if they do not, states with low vaccination rates may see those rates, may see this progress, reversed. Ultimately, those who are not vaccinated will end up paying the price. The vaccinated will continue to be protected against severe illnesses, but others may not be if you’re not vaccinated.”

Fauci on Businesses Keeping Mask Mandates: ‘Issue Is That We Don’t Have Any Way of Knowing Who Is Vaccinated’

By Breitbart. Dr. Anthony Fauci supports businesses choosing to leave mask mandates in place because the “issue,” he said, is that “we don’t have any way of knowing who is vaccinated.”

Fauci believes it is “perfectly reasonable and understandable” for businesses to keep mask mandates in place despite recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance relieving vaccinated individuals from wearing masks in most settings.

“The problem and the issue is that we don’t have any way of knowing who is vaccinated and who’s not vaccinated,” Fauci said during an appearance on Good Morning America.

“I think that’s where the confusion arises because there are some establishments who are saying, ‘Well, I’m going to have people coming into my establishment or my store or what have you. Some are going to be vaccinated, some are not. I’m not going to know the difference,’” he continued.

India’s COVID Cases Drop After Government Promotes ‘Trump Drugs’

India has become the center of the novel coronavirus pandemic, but a drop in cases has coincided with the national health ministry’s promotion of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine treatments.

The India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare updated its guidelines on April 28 for treating the asymptomatic and those with mild symptoms of COVID-19

Since then, the data show cases have plunged in some areas, reported a leading promoter in the United States of ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19, Dr. Pierre Kory, the COVID blog reported.

On Monday, Indian officials announced the country’s daily COVID-19 cases fell below 300,000 for the first time in 25 days.

Kory, the chief medical officer of the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance, is known for his congressional testimony about the effectiveness of ivermectin. In a live Zoom conference May 13, he showed the promising data from various states in India in the two weeks since ivermectin has been promoted. Texas Bans Schools and Local Officials From Requiring Masks

Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed an executive order Tuesday barring local governments and public schools from mandating facemasks.

The order prevents local governments and officials from attempting to mandate mask wearing starting Friday, subjecting a fine of up to $1,000 for any person or government entity that does not comply. Public schools have through June 4 to continue mandating mask wearing, but after June 4, students, parents, teachers and other staff members will not be required to wear a mask.

“The Lone Star State continues to defeat COVID-19 through the use of widely-available vaccines, antibody therapeutic drugs, and safe practices utilized by Texans in our communities,” Abbott said in a statement.

“Texans, not government, should decide their best health practices, which is why masks will not be mandated by public school districts or government entities. Texas: Zero Coronavirus-Related Deaths After Biden Called Ending Mask Mandate ‘Neanderthal Thinking’

Texas has reported zero deaths from the coronavirus for the first time in nearly 14 months, according to ABC 13.

In a social media post on Sunday, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced the news, writing, “0 Covid related deaths–the only time that’s happened since data was tracked in March, 2020”:

In March, the governor announced the end of the statewide mask mandate during an event in Lubbock[.] . .

However, President Joe Biden later criticized the governors of Texas and Mississippi for lifting their mask mandates, calling the decision “Neanderthal thinking.”
