Joe Biden Would Really Like You To Forget That He Opposed Trump’s China Travel Ban (VIDEO)

Last Thursday (September 10th), when Joe Biden’s National Press Secretary, TJ Ducko, sat down on Fox News for an interview with Bret Baier, it didn’t go well. As Allahpundit wrote that same day, Ducklo came off as a stuttering, angry boxer who was continually caught on the ropes. But there was one part of that interview that’s drawing renewed attention as Biden’s campaign attempts to ramp up their attacks on President Trump’s handling of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Bair brought up Biden’s original opposition to Trump’s decision to impose a travel ban on China to hinder the spread of the virus. The prompted Ducklo to go into full denial mode, claiming that his boss’s support of (or at least failure to oppose) the travel ban had been “fact-checked to death.” But it turns out that whoever was doing the fact-checking for them was asleep at the switch. Joe Biden’s national press secretary claimed Thursday that the former vice president was in favor of President Donald Trump’s decision to restrict travel from China, but all of Biden’s public comments, including from the day the decision was announced, indicate otherwise.

“Joe Biden has been clear that he was not against that travel ban at the time,” TJ Ducklo told Fox News anchor Bret Baier. Ducklo’s claim contrasts with Biden’s previous statements on the travel restrictions, including some made on the very day the policy was announced. Less than an hour after Health and Human Services secretary Alex Azar declared the coronavirus a public health emergency and announced the China travel ban, Biden took the stage at a campaign event in Iowa and went after Trump’s “hysterical xenophobia.”

Dr. Fauci Admits: A COVID Vaccine Won’t Change Restrictions; Trump Says Judge Striking Down State’s Pandemic Restrictions Is ‘Good News’

By The Federalist. Dr. Anthony Fauci just spilled the beans: contrary to the implicit promise numerous politicians made that COVID-19 restrictions would only last “until there’s an effective vaccine,” Fauci says the arrival of a vaccine won’t mean life will return to normal, perhaps for more than a year.

“If you’re talking about getting back to a degree of normality which resembles where we were prior to COVID, it’s going to be well into 2021, maybe even towards the end of 2021,” said the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases on Friday.

A safe and effective vaccine produced this quickly would be a stunning scientific accomplishment that could save thousands of lives. But Fauci warned that widespread distribution and getting “the majority, or more, of the population vaccinated and protected” won’t happen until perhaps the end 2021, and therefore means we cannot be free from oppressive lockdown measures until at least that point.

Aside from Fauci being a reliable harbinger for politicians moving the COVID-19 goal posts, we have three very good reasons to doubt the understanding promoted by politicians so far about returning to normal when a vaccine is deployed: 1) politicians already moved the goalposts far away from “flatten the curve” and “15 days to slow the spread” and thus can’t be trusted 2) they’ve ignored their promise of reopening if effective treatments were found, and 3) the newly discovered phenomenon of COVID-19 reinfection gives panic-pushers an excuse to keep lockdown measures until some new target of vaccine efficacy or compliance is met. Trump Says Judge Striking Down Pennsylvania’s Pandemic Restrictions Is ‘Good News’

By New York Post. President Trump on Monday celebrated a federal judgement striking down pandemic restrictions in the battleground state of Pennsylvania as an unconstitutional overreach — and said he wanted it to happen in more states.

Aboard Air Force One as he traveled from California to Arizona after being briefed on wildfire damage, the president shared dozens of tweets announcing a federal judge had sided against Gov. Tom Wolf’s sweeping restrictions.

“Congratulations Pennsylvania. Now we await the decision on the Rigged Ballot Scam, which is so bad for our Country!” Trump tweeted to his 85 million followers, referring to mail-in ballots which he has tried to discredit before the election.

Sharing another tweet from an Illinois woman who wrote, “It’s time, Illinois,” Trump responded: “And Michigan, and North Carolina. Next up, phony Ballot voting Hoax!”

US District Judge William Stickman IV on Monday sided with plaintiffs that included hair salons, drive-in movie theaters, a farmer’s market vendor, a horse trainer and several Republican officeholders who sued as individuals. WATCH: Big Tech Continues to Censor Conservatives: YouTube Removes Video of Trump COVID Adviser for Contradicting WHO

Big Tech platforms continue to censor conservatives for offering commentary on the Chinese coronavirus. The latest victim is the Hoover Institution, the Stanford University-based conservative think tank, which posted a video to YouTube of an interview with Hoover Senior Fellow Dr. Scott Atlas, who is now serving as a coronavirus adviser to President Donald Trump. The Google-owned platform censored the video as it “contradicts the World Health Organization or local health authorities’ medical information about COVID-19.”

YouTube recently took down an interview featuring one of the institution’s senior fellows, Dr. Scott Atlas. Dr. Atlas is also acting as a coronavirus adviser to President Donald Trump. According to the think-tank’s press release, Dr. Atlas recommended that K-12 schools be opened. . .

This comes just a week after Twitter censored Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican congressional candidate in Georgia’s 14th district, for arguing that children should not be made to wear masks. For the First Time Since the Great Depression, the Majority of Americans Under 30 Are Living With Their Parents

If this pandemic has pushed you back into your parents home and robbed you of your autonomy, you are far from alone.

18- to 34-year-old men and women of all racial and ethnic groups and in every geographical region in the country have experience a historic spike in basement living.

As of July, 52% of millennials were living in their parents’ home, up from 47% in February, according to the Pew analysis of Census Bureau data, surpassing the previous high hit in 1940, when 48% of young adults lived with their parents.

“In a very short space of time, we are now at levels last seen during the Great Depression,” said Richard Fry, a senior researcher at Pew. [via]

Student Suspended for 5 Days After Showing up at High School in Person (VIDEO)

In another sign of the irregularities of life during the coronavirus pandemic, a high school senior in New York has been suspended because he wanted to attend classes in person on a day he was supposed to be learning from home. . .

He further explained that when he arrived on school grounds staff there took his temperature and he proceeded to his first-period class.

Once in class, however, his teacher noted that he was not on the class roster for the day and informed administrators who asked him to report to the principal’s office.

Stow said administrators asked him to leave the school grounds because he wasn’t supposed to be there on that day, but he refused. . .

Country That Refused to Lockdown Now Among World’s Safest From Virus

After widespread criticism for its decision not to implement comprehensive lockdowns or mask requirements, Sweden now has one of the lowest coronavirus infection rates in the world.

“Sweden has gone from being the country with the most infections in Europe to the safest one,” said the country’s senior epidemiologist, Dr. Anders Tegnell, in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the Gateway Pundit reported.

“What we see now is that the sustainable policy might be slower in getting results, but it will get results eventually,” Tegnell said. “And then we also hope that the result will be more stable.”

The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control last week said Sweden’s infection rate is about 12 cases per million, compared to 18 in Denmark and 14 in Norway.

San Francisco Gym Owners Livid After Discovering Gyms in Government Buildings Have Been Opened for Months

By Washington Examiner. Gyms within government buildings in San Francisco have been open for months, despite privately owned establishments being ordered to close due to the coronavirus.

“It’s shocking, it’s infuriating,” Daniele Rabkin, of Crossfit Golden Gate, told a local NBC station. “Even though they’re getting exposed, there are no repercussions, no ramifications? It’s shocking.”

The gyms that have been open for government employees include those for police officers, judges, lawyers, bailiffs, and paralegals, according to the report. One such gym, the Hall of Justice gym, has been open since July 1.

“It just demonstrates that there seems to be some kind of a double standard between what city employees are allowed to do and what the residents of San Francisco are allowed to do,” Dave Karraker, owner of MX3 Fitness in the Castro, said. San Francisco Mayor Makes up Ridiculous Excuses for Pelosi’s Illegal Trip to the Salon

By Townhall. Many Americans are – rightfully – upset that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) decided to break San Francisco’s Wuhan coronavirus rules so she could get a wash and blowout at a local hair salon. Not only did she show up to a business that wasn’t supposed to be open (thanks, local government!) but she failed to wear a mask, something she’s repeatedly championed. To make matters even worse, San Fransisco Mayor London Breed (D) is going to bat for Pelosi.

“We have a terrorist, we have a dictator who is running this country and Nancy Pelosi is at the forefront fighting against this person everyday, you know, and I’m not trying to excuse what happened,” Breed told ABC 7. “I’m just saying that to allow an issue like this to turn our city upside down when we got folks who are homeless, we’ve got people who can’t open their business, including these salons. I understand.” . . .

Instead of admitting what Pelosi did was wrong and shouldn’t have happened, Breed said it’s “time for people to move on.”

Nearly 80 Percent of Americans Would Not Get COVID-19 Vaccine

There are already “worrying signs” that trust in potential COVID-19 vaccines is diminishing, according to a top advisor to the U.K. government.

Sir Jeremy Farrar, director of the U.K.-based research-charity the Wellcome Trust, made the comments in the Observer newspaper on Sunday, the same day a CBS News poll revealed 79 percent of the U.S. public would not get a shot right away.

Teams of scientists around the world are working on almost 200 coronavirus vaccine candidates, with 34 in clinical evaluation, according to the World Health Organization. . .

In August, Russia became the first country to approve a coronavirus vaccine. However, it only published results from its Phase I and II trial data in a peer-reviewed journal on Friday. That day, President Donald Trump told reporters at a news conference that the country is on track to deliver a coronavirus vaccine “maybe even before November 1st,” days before the 2020 election.
