Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn. (F, 26%), the front-runner to be the next Democratic National Committee chairman (and who, in December, had been set to appear at a radical Islamist conference), has called for impeachment “investigations” into President Donald Trump.
During Wednesday’s CNN debate with seven other candidates for the DNC chairmanship, Ellison pushed the idea that Trump should be on the chopping block just one month into his presidency.
“I think that Donald Trump has already done a number of things which legitimately raise the question of impeachment,” Ellison said, agreeing with others on the stage on the issue.
“We need to begin investigations not to go after Donald Trump but protect the presidency of the United States to make sure nobody can monetize the presidency and make profit off it for his own game,” said the Minnesota congressman.
Such bombastic commentary is not unusual for Rep. Ellison, who used to write under the byline “Keith X Ellison” (in homage to Malcolm X). He once compared George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler and suspected 9/11 was a false-flag inside job.
In December, Ellison pulled out of a radical Islamic conference in Chicago. He was set to share a stage with a number of unmistakably extremist individuals, including an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, multiple supporters of terrorist organizations, and an advocate for suicide bombings against Jews and the death penalty for homosexuals.
Keith Ellison has previously met with prominent Hamas fundraisers, has called for the U.S. to cut off funding to Israel, and has keynoted the annual Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) conference. CAIR has had many suspicious ties with Hamas through the years.
On Saturday, 447 DNC members will gather in Atlanta to vote for the next party chair. Keith Ellison, may soon bring his radicalism with him as the public face of the DNC. Ellison’s biggest challenge in the DNC race is Tom Perez, former labor secretary under President Obama. Will the Democratic Party complete its descent into madness this weekend?
As the Democratic National Committee meets in Atlanta to select its next chairman, the frontrunner for the position — extremist Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn. (F, 26%) — represents the leftist radical fringe’s complete takeover of the party. In a survey of DNC members, Ellison leads his nearest rival with nearly twice the support.
Ellison, the first Muslim American elected to Congress, has built a coalition of support across the DNC spectrum. He is the favorite of the Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. (F, 17%) wing of the party while simultaneously garnering the endorsements of progressive icons such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. (F, 18%) and leadership figures like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. (F, 2%).
All this to say, it is clear most of the Democratic Party has abandoned any pretense of operating in the mainstream. Just how radical is Rep. Keith Ellison?
This is a man who:
once compared the 9/11 terror attacks to the Reichstag fire (though later he retracted those remarks) to attack President George W. Bush as a dictator;
previously and repeatedly advocated on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated CAIR;
compared school choice to Jim Crow laws; and, among of things,
holds every radical liberal position on abortion, on amnesty for illegal aliens, on gun control, on environmental statism.
As if his radical positions weren’t enough to disqualify from leadership in a rational party, Ellison’s disturbing ties to radical Islam ought to give his Democratic colleagues pause. But they don’t. Nor does Ellison’s past relationship with the radical Louis Farrakhan, who perpetually makes the most disturbing anti-Semitic comments possible.
“I want to disabuse the Jews today of the false claim that you are the chosen of God — that Israel or Palestine belongs to you,” Farrakhan recently said at a Nation of Islam conference in Detroit, to the applause of the crowd. He continued, saying:
I want to disabuse you of that. I want to make it so clear and I’m going to tell you about your future. You that think you have power to frighten and dominate the peoples of the world. I’m here to announce the end of your time.
Ellison also shares Farrakhan’s anti-Israel sentiments.
“The United States foreign policy in the Middle East is governed by what is good or bad through a country of 7 million people. A region of 350 million all turns on a country of 7 million. Does that make sense?” Ellison said of the state of Israel at private fundraiser in 2010.
Even the liberal Anti-Defamation League has referred to those comments as “disqualifying.” And we’re supposed to believe President Donald Trump is the anti-Semite? As CR’s Jordan Schachtel noted:
We live in a strange world where actual anti-Semites are lecturing non anti-Semites on anti-Semitismhttps://t.co/FhRDbO8KK0
And all that is just the beginning of Ellison’s radicalism, as Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin has explained previously:
That the Democratic Party is even permitting Keith Ellison run for leadership is a disgrace. That he is so close to winning that leadership position shows how far gone the Democrats are in kowtowing to the most radical elements of the Left. A spokesman for the family of Seth Rich, the Democratic National Committee staffer mysteriously murdered this summer, said there may be a breakthrough in the case.
Jack Burkman, appearing Tuesday on The Steve Malzberg Show on Newsmax TV, reported that some additional private surveillance footage, pertinent to the murder, may have surfaced.
“Some of the surveillance footage has legs. We know there’s two people, we strongly suggest there’s two people instead of one,” Burkman said.
Then he provided the newest details in the case.
“Now interesting Steve we can break some news here. We just learned that there may be additional private video,” Burkman said. “We believe we have located additional private video that could be useful.”
According to Burkman, the video came to light thanks to Rich’s parents canvassing his old neighborhood in the northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C. with fliers offering a $125,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the case. Previously, DC police were offering a $25,000 reward, and Burkman put up an additional $100,000.
Rich, 27, was shot twice in the back in the early morning hours of July 10, just a short distance from his apartment.
DC police have not been able to ascertain a motive or any suspects.
Rich’s father, Joel, told Omaha, Neb., CBS affiliate KMTV shortly after his son’s murder, “If it was a robbery, it failed because he still has his watch, he still has his money, he still has his credit cards, still had his phone. So it was a wasted effort except we lost a life.”
Less than two weeks after Rich’s murder, Wikileaks released emails revealing collusion between the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign, as well as its efforts to undermine the campaign of Sen. Bernie Sanders. (For more from the author of “Possible Breakthrough in Mysterious Murder of DNC Staffer” please click HERE)
The leading candidate to be the next chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., has said he wants the Democratic Party to come out against the Second Amendment, compared the 9/11 attacks to the Nazi Reichstag fire, and was affiliated with the controversial Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.
Ellison, the co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders during the Democratic presidential primaries, once said eventual nominee Hillary Clinton would have to prove she’s not a Republican to get his support.
Ellison has been member of Congress since 2007, and has supported other measures that could be unpopular with moderate voters, but are the norm for progressives. Ellison has advocated for a single-payer health care system, a carbon tax, hiking taxes for high earners, and cutting the defense budget.
With Republicans holding the White House along with majorities in the House and Senate, the Democratic Party chairman will be a more prominent public face for the party for at least the next two years.
Former DNC Chairman and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman Jaime Harrison, and others are vying for the position.
However, Ellison is clearly the leading candidate, with 40 endorsements for the job from elected officials and state party chairmen, including Sanders, incoming Senate Democratic leader Charles Schumer of New York, and outgoing Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada.
Here are a few things to know about the leading contender for the DNC chairmanship.
‘Sure Wish They Would’ Be Against the Second Amendment
When appearing on “Real Time with Bill Maher” in March 2014, Maher asked Ellison, “Why doesn’t your party come out against the Second Amendment? It’s the problem.”
Ellison responded, “I sure wish they would. I sure wish they would.”
Maher pressed, “Really? Because I never hear anybody in the Democratic Party say that. But they say, ‘I am also a strong supporter.’”
Ellison said, “You have got to check out the Progressive Caucus. We have come out very strong for commonsense gun safety rules.”
Maher pushed further to know what “common sense” meant.
“What it means is that if you want to have grandpa’s shotgun, have it, but get rid of those crazy military-style assault weapons,” Ellison said.
Maher said, “It’s not going to change anything.”
Ellison defended his position, saying, “You can’t solve the problem with just one little thing. You’ve got to make sure that the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] can issue reports on gun killings and handgun violence. You’ve got to make sure that we can get rid of assault weapons. You’ve got to close the loophole at gun shows. You’ve got to do a whole range of things to get us into a sane place. We’ve got 12,000 handgun murders a year.”
Ellison’s office did not provide a formal response for this story, but a prominent Democratic surrogate close to Ellison defended his stance on gun control.
“Keith has called for the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban, a law that prevented dangerous weapons from falling into the hands of violent criminals,” the Ellison associate said.
“We can avoid national tragedies by closing gun show loopholes, banning military-style assault weapons, and fully supporting the implementation of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System,” he added. “A strong national background check system will ensure that violent individuals, domestic abusers, murderers, or the criminally insane are not able to buy guns. Keith also believes in limiting the amount of deadly ammunition that guns can hold in a single magazine because there is no justifiable civilian purpose for firing dozens of rounds without stopping.”
Past Ties to Farrakhan
Going back to his time in law school at the University of Minnesota, Ellison defended the Nation of Islam and its controversial leader Louis Farrakhan.
As a third-year law students at the University of Minnesota Law School in 1989-90, Ellison reportedly wrote for the student newspaper, The Minnesota Daily, using the name Keith Hakim, where he defended Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam. He further wrote about reparations for slavery and demand a separate homeland for African-Americans, The Washington Post reported when Ellison was running for the office.
In 1995, he reportedly backed up the Nation of Islam line in organizing a march at the U.S. attorney’s office in Minneapolis to accuse the FBI of conspiring to murder Farrakhan, The Weekly Standard reported.
Ellison first ran for public office in 1998, winning the Democratic nomination for state representative under the name Keith Ellison-Muhammad.
Because of Farrakhan’s anti-Semitic statements, Ellison sought to explain his association when he first ran for Congress in 2006. During the Democratic primary, he wrote a letter to the local chapter of the Jewish Community Relations Council that stated his involvement with the Nation of Islam was only 18 months and surrounded the Million Man March of 1995. He said he wasn’t familiar with the Nation of Islam’s anti-Semitic views.
Later that year, he said that he parted ways with the group when “it became clear to me that their message of empowerment intertwined with more negative messages.”
Ellison forcefully rejects anti-Semitism, the supporter close to the Minnesota congressman told The Daily Signal.
“He has strongly condemned the Nation of Islam and other groups that promote anti-Semitism, intolerance, and bigotry, hosting several briefings and panels about confronting anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial, voting to strengthen anti-hate crime legislation, and standing with Jewish government officials against anti-Semitism,” the source close to Ellison said.
9/11 and the Reichstag Fire
The conservative group America Rising PAC showcased a video last week from Ellison delivering a 2007 speech where he said that the 9/11 terrorist attacks was comparable to the Reichstag fire in Germany that helped bring Adolf Hitler to power.
“Remember 9/11. You would never have all this discrimination against religious minorities but for 9/11,” Ellison said. “We had it, but we don’t have it to the degree we have it now. 9/11 is this juggernaut you get in American history. It’s almost like the Reichstag fire. It reminds me of that. You know what I’m talking about?”
Someone in the audience asked, “Who benefited from 9/11?” Ellison responded, “Well, you and I both know. But the thing is, you know, after Reichstag was burned, they blamed the communists for it and then put the leader of that country into a position where basically he could do whatever he wanted.”

The father of the murdered DNC staffer, Joel Rich, is speaking out, urging those with information about his son’s death to step forward.
27-year-old Seth Conrad Rich, a Democratic National Committee analyst, was walking home near his Washington, D.C. neighborhood of Bloomingdale on July 10 when he was shot twice in the back. Police officers responded quickly to reports of gunshots, but Rich died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
“We want to get this solved, that’s the number one thing,” his father said in an interview with Daily Mail.
Initial reports from police suggested the incident may have been an attempted burglary in which Rich died during the struggle. D.C. police have offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
“We can’t bring Seth back but we can try to make the city safer and take away the person who wanted to go after someone just for a cellphone,” Rich continued.
Rich told Daily Mail that Seth had been active in various levels of politics in House and Senate campaigns, and had always wanted to work on a presidential campaign.
“He had just been asked to join the Clinton campaign — four days before he was murdered,” Rich said. “He was really excited about that.”
Although burglary was initially speculated as the reason for Rich’s death, there has been ongoing Internet rumors surmising that the DNC staffer’s death may have been related to the recent WikiLeaks DNC email hack.
Some have been “suggesting he had handed WikiLeaks the 20,000 emails that embarrassed the DNC and forced the ouster of its chairwoman,” wrote the Washington Post. “Others suggested he was helping the FBI expose wrongdoing in the presidential election, and that made him a target.”
Adding fuel to those rumors, WikiLeaks announced on Twitter Tuesday that it will offer a $20,000 reward for any information regarding Rich’s murder.
ANNOUNCE: WikiLeaks has decided to issue a US$20k reward for information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.
Rich’s father said that while he is pleased with any additional reward that could help bring the perpetrator to justice, he believes the rumors circulating about his son’s possible involvement with WikiLeaks are “bizarre.”
“I hope the additional money helps find out who did this,” But, he said, “I don’t want to play WikiLeaks’ game.” (For more from the author of “Father of Murdered DNC Staffer Speaks on Late Son’s Political Plans” please click HERE)

An investigation by the FBI has revealed the hack against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) may be much larger than expected.
According to The New York Times, the hack extended well beyond the DNC, and may have affected hundreds of other Democratic party officials and organizations, including the Democratic Governors Association.
The FBI briefed staff members of the House and Senate intelligence committees last week on the investigation into the email hacks against the DNC in July. The FBI told staff it has no doubt that the Russian government was behind the hack, according to The New York Times, citing an anonymous staff member briefed on the matter.
The FBI said that it has no direct evidence that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s private email server was hacked by the Russians. FBI director James Comey has said previously that hackers have tried to gain access into Clinton’s private server, and that they may have been skilled enough to leave no trace of a successful hack. The FBI also said that there is no evidence at this point that the hack extended to the emails of members of Congress or staff members of the intelligence committees.
According to the Boston Globe, the main targets of the hack appear to have been the private accounts of Clinton campaign officials, Democratic party officials, and Democratic party organizations. (Read more from “SHA-WINGGG! DNC Email Hack Just Got a Whole Lot Bigger” HERE)

One month after a Bernie Sanders supporter served the Democratic National Committee and its then-chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, with a civil complaint alleging fraud on behalf of Hillary Clinton, he was found dead in his Florida home.
In a video recorded by independent filmmaker Ricardo O. Villalba, the deceased, Shawn Lucas, appeared to be excited to serve papers on the DNC on July 3 — the day before Independence Day . . .
An unconfirmed report indicates that on Tuesday Lucas was found dead by his girlfriend in the bathroom of his home . . .
Given Lucas’ young age, news of his sudden death set social media ablaze with speculations of conspiracy — especially coming close on the heels of the July 10 murder of young DNC staffer Seth Rich.
Rich’s killer reportedly took nothing of value from the 27-year-old — with the exception of his life. His wallet, watch and cell phone were still on his person.

What a revelatory week this has been for the Democrat Party. From media collusion, to the resignation of the head of the Democrat National Committee on the eve of the convention, the curtain has been pulled back on the inner workings and modus operandi of the DNC.
Just a few days before the convention Julian Assange’s Wikileaks released over 20,000 emails hacked from the DNC. From the publically exposed internal emails what many of us have suspected was verified, that the DNC colludes with the mainstream media on their reporting. As one source described the collusion, “The intimate relationship between the Democratic Party and the media isn’t just a conspiracy theory dreamed up by paranoid conservatives. Turns out, there’s more bias in some newsrooms than there is at a Lois Lerner auditing party. From reporters giving party officials a chance to edit or comment on their stories to outright dictating what questions Democratic officials will be asked on air, the collusion uncovered in the pages of messages is astounding — even for the most cynical media critic.”
Another dubious practice with the mainstream media was also revealed.
Over 15 specific recent examples were exposed of mainstream media “draft sharing” their stories before publication. Draft sharing is a practice of sharing the drafts of stories with sources before the stories are published.
While not illegal, from a reporting standpoint, the practice is unethical, according to journalism experts. Renita Coleman, a professor of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, has said, “It’s been a time-honored code that you don’t show sources stories before they run.” Edward Wasserman, the Knight Chair in Journalism Ethics at Washington and Lee University, said that draft sharing is “hard to square with even the most source-friendly reporting practices.” No wonder the mainstream media sounds and acts like they’re simply the propaganda arm of the DNC.
Another media analyst made the observation, “The Left must know that it can’t win the war of ideas on a level playing field, so it resorts to lying, slander, and outright distortion — in many cases, with the liberal media’s help. Of course, the people most hurt by the press’s bias aren’t conservatives — they’re the American people, who never really get to know the truth about their candidates.”
The leaked emails also proved that the DNC purposefully tilted the political playing field in Hillary Clinton’s favor, sabotaging the Bernie Sanders campaign, much to the chagrin of Sanders’ supporters. The most egregious was denying the Sanders campaign access to the DNC voter database. Most political analysts are now saying had this not been done, Bernie would have won the nomination with the requisite number of delegates from the primaries. The revelations led to the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Shultz as the head of the DNC, on the eve of the convention. An underling gaveled in the first days of the convention.
But true to form for the party of corruption, Shultz was rewarded immediately by the Clinton campaign, by naming her as the honorary chairman of the Clinton campaign. Based on how she was running the DNC, through the lens of the leaked emails, it would appear she had been functioning as a de facto Clinton official all along.
Predictably, Clinton and the DNC blamed the Wikileaks revelations on the “vast right-wing conspiracy.” Mrs. Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook, claimed on ABC’s “This Week” that they were leaked, “by the Russians for the purpose of helping Donald Trump.” Mook offered no evidence, of course, which only further invests the Clinton campaign more in their conspiracy theory of a “vast right wing conspiracy.” If anything, the DNC emails prove there’s a “vast left wing conspiracy” of collusion between the party and the mainstream media.
The DNC emails also prove how they take for granted the Hispanic and the black vote. Multiple emails from DNC staffers referred to the “buckets” of voters, based on race. They further prove how they take those voters for granted by claiming that they are the most “brand-loyal” voters for the party. It should be immensely disturbing to those voters that they’re assumed to be so loyal that they are merely blind puppets of the party that panders to their special interests.
Equally disturbing was the pejorative way they are sometimes referenced by the DNC. One staff member, and Obama campaign veteran, Rebecca Christopher, referred to their courtship of Hispanic voters as “taco bowl outreach.” That kind of “branding” should cause all sentient Hispanic voters to rethink their commitment and fealty to the DNC.
As if to not let Jewish voters feel left out, on the first day of the convention, Congressman Hank Johnson (D-GA), compared Israeli settlers on the West Bank to “termites.” Rabbi David Wolpe, writing in Time after the Johnson gaffe, was astounded at the “shockingly limited amount of play in the press,” the statement received. Especially, as Wolpe points out, since the “terminology evokes some of the worst expressions of historical anti-Semitism—those moments in time when Jews were characterized as ‘vermin’ and targeted for ‘extermination.’”
As the New York Observer printed earlier this year, in a pieced titled, “Sooner or Later the DNC will Have to Face Its Corruption Issues,” the DNC has “come under scrutiny throughout the Democratic primaries, from rigging the debate schedule, to inciting a lawsuit from the Sanders campaign over access to voter database files, to colluding with the Clinton campaign through a joint fundraising committee—the Hillary Victory Fund—which was recently accused of violating campaign finance laws. The fund has also been linked to buying the support of superdelegates as the Clinton campaign gets to decide where and how much money goes to state Democratic Parties.” The piece linked much of the corruption to “the fear of retribution” from the DNC and party leaders, which “has been silencing Democrats for way too long.”
Neither of the major parties is immune to the foibles, follies, and imperfections of the individuals either leading or working in them. But the Democrat Party, at least at the national level, appears to be corrupt at its very core, as copiously evidenced by the leaked DNC emails. Perhaps it’s time for all cognitively functional Democrats, especially Hispanics, Jews, and blacks, to rethink their blind party loyalty. (For more from the author of “CORRUPT TO THEIR CORE: Lessons From the DNC” please click HERE)

Martin Luther King Jr. said “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
If the 2016 Democratic National Convention (DNC) was any indication, the party of Robert Byrd and Woodrow Wilson has little desire to turn King’s vision into reality.
To look over the guest list and listen to the proclamations of the DNC’s various speakers is to see a clinic in identity politics geared explicitly away from focusing on content of character and towards the physical attributes with which one is born and over which one has no control.
Each and every speaker from a paraplegic Hispanic female to the parents of various black males shot by cops was hand-selected as a political prop to perpetuate a narrative geared towards specific constituencies and an overall theme. The same could be said of the way each and every substantive soundbite was tailored.
The Democrats reverse-engineered their convention in such a way that their speakers would activate every last constituency necessary to win in November.
At some level one has to admire them for having a goal and developing strategies and tactics to achieve it, in spite of a woeful lying criminal of a presidential candidate, the manipulation of sympathetic individuals and the Democrats’ gratuitous pandering. This is politics, and the people seem to not only abide it, but revel in it.
And what the Democrats’ shameless efforts indicate is that winning is paramount, and not so for Republicans except when it concerns our own primaries, and perhaps the race Donald Trump is running.
The core of the Democrats’ message is that Republicans are evil and Democrats are good. Republicans hate and Democrats love. Republicans divide and Democrats unite.
In practice however, Democrats seek to evoke emotional and tribal sentiments completely antithetical to this message. Dividing Americans by race, class, gender and “identity” is the implicit aim of who Democrats highlight and what they say.
The Democrats’ entire campaign, starting with the “I’m with her” slogan is intended to make their constituents focus on voting with their groups against evil Republican oppressors. Democrats seek to signal to voters that everyone who looks like them votes a certain way. Peer pressure to go along with a message relentlessly pushed in the media and academia is a strong force. When many Democrats are wholly unaware that there is another perspective, voting the same way for life is a near certainty.
Regrettably, the individual, the most precious minority of all, is an afterthought versus the aggrieved group, and the collective.
Democrats have to play up race, class, gender and “identity” because the results of their policies in every place where Democrats predominate are so abysmal. I defy any Democrat to name a failing urban area run by Tea Partiers for the last 40 years. When you can’t win on reason, win on emotion.
There certainly are voters who are in the Democrats’ pocket and for which no matter how devastating the effects of their policies – be it in broken homes, failing schools or rampant crime – nothing will ever cause a change of heart because they fundamentally believe the Democrats’ agenda is in their self-interest.
But for others, appeals to empathy, guilt and envy triumph in spite of the apparent and overwhelming evidence of Democratic depredation.
This is a profoundly sad commentary in light of what Martin Luther King Jr. was advocating. Content of character over color of skin means judging people individually, not in terms of a group or a collective. Content of character over color of skin means judging people on their merits, not their genes. Content of character over color of skin means focusing on substance and fact over style and narrative.
Identity politics may enable Democrats and politicians of all stripes to win elections. Appealing to the worse angels of our nature appears to resonate most in our declining culture. But the damage done to the fabric of the country will last for lifetimes, and ultimately tear it apart absent a profound change in American society. The Dems are pulling out every possible stop to push their extreme pro-abortion agenda at the party’s national convention in Philadelphia.
A day after Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richard’s brazen speech against basic safety requirements for abortion clinics—which a vast majority of Americans actually agree with—NARAL Pro-Choice America president Ilyse Hogue took the stage to talk about just how wonderful it was that she was able to abort her first child.
“I wanted a family, but it was the wrong time. I made the decision that was best for me – to have an abortion – and was able to get compassionate care at a clinic in my own community,” said Hogue. “Now, years later, my husband and I are parents to two incredible children.”
However, one can be certain that if the child she aborted could actually speak for itself, his or her outlook wouldn’t be so inspired.
Here’s an excerpt from Hogue’s speech, right before she goes into her attack on the Trump-Pence GOP ticket. Below Hogue’s remarks in italics are the same sections, rewritten from the perspective of an unborn child facing an abortion:
To succeed in life, we have to have it first. I was unfortunate enough to be conceived after 1973, a time period wherein at least 58 million of my other unborn counterparts. I wanted to have a life outside the womb, but someone decided that it was the wrong time for them to even put me up for adoption. I may have siblings who can grow, play, learn and love now. Not so much for me, though.
My mother made the decision that was right for her. While she received compassionate care that could have just as easily been offered at a crisis pregnancy center, I was either subjected to a toxic saline solution, starved as a result of a hormone treatment, or dissected limb from limb before being pulled in pieces from her womb.
My story is not unique. According to 2012 statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, as recently as 2012, there were 210 of us aborted for every 1,000 that were born in the United States. It’s not just as simple as whether I we are in our first, second, or third trimester, or whether it’s the “right time” for us to exist, we are the same children at different stages of development—not able to make decisions that will determine our life or death.
If we want children to succeed, we start by letting all of them live. Provide biological accurate information about what we are, and respect our human right to life, even if it isn’t convenient. That’s what Hillary Clinton has spent decades fighting against.
