Donald Trump and Elon Musk Face Backlash for Spending Time With Caitlyn Jenner

Donald Trump recently posed for a photo alongside his granddaughter, Kai, staunch MAGA supporter Caitlyn Jenner and new pal Elon Musk at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

However, the president-elect and the tech mogul were slammed by critics on X, formerly known as Twitter, due to anti-trans views they’ve shared throughout the 2024 presidential election campaign.

One X user wrote, “HMM, IS CAITLYN JENNER BANNED FROM USING THE WOMEN’S BATHROOM AT MAR-A-LAGO?” and a second person added, “I wonder if Caitlyn, Elon and Donald all used the bathroom together…shocked that the MAGA cult isn’t melting down about this.” . . .

Some critics also pointed out Musk’s estranged relationship from his own transgender child, Vivian.

“So Elon can put his arm around Caitlyn Jenner, but he’s rejected his own daughter for being transgender? Please make it make sense,” another X user replied. (Read more from “Donald Trump and Elon Musk Face Backlash for Spending Time With Caitlyn Jenner” HERE)

Trump May Kick Establishment Media Out of White House Briefing Room

President-elect Donald Trump is considering rearranging White House press briefings in a move that could leave establishment media outlets out to dry.

Instead of hostile legacy media outlets, Trump could seat new media hosts such as Megyn Kelly or Joe Rogan.

Donald Trump Jr. revealed the plan Monday on his podcast, Triggered with Donald Trump Jr., with Michael Knowles.

Knowles inquired if “Karoline Leavitt is looking at the new press briefing room chart, [if] maybe it’s time to reorder that chart and maybe take away some people’s seats.”

Trump Jr. responded, “We’re gonna break some news here,” continuing, “I literally had this conversation with — I was flying back, I was on the plane with my father, I think it was coming back from the SpaceX launch with Elon [Musk] last week. And we were talking about the podcast world and some of our friends and Rogan and guys like you.” (Read more from “Trump May Kick Establishment Media Out of White House Briefing Room” HERE)

Trump Announces Tariffs for Day 1

President-elect Donald Trump has been making clear for some time that he supports tariffs. On Monday night, he made an announcement about tariffs from his Truth Social account, with concerns about our “Open Border” and “Open Borders” from neighboring Mexico and Canada being part of the explanation given.

“As everyone is aware, thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Drugs at levels never seen before. Right now a Caravan coming from Mexico, composed of thousands of people, seems to be unstoppable in its quest to come through our currently Open Border,” he lamented. “On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,” he continued, with an explanation as to when they may come to an end. “This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country! Both Mexico and Canada have the absolute right and power to easily solve this long simmering problem. We hereby demand that they use this power, and until such time that they do, it is time for them to pay a very big price!”

Trump also put out another Truth Social post, this one about tariffs on China. Such a post speaks to the lack of progress with China about the amount of fentanyl coming to the United States.

“I have had many talks with China about the massive amounts of drugs, in particular Fentanyl, being sent into the United States – But to no avail. Representatives of China told me that they would institute their maximum penalty, that of death, for any drug dealers caught doing this but, unfortunately, they never followed through, and drugs are pouring into our Country, mostly through Mexico, at levels never seen before,” his post explained. “Until such time as they stop, we will be charging China an additional 10% Tariff, above any additional Tariffs, on all of their many products coming into the United States of America. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Trump Team Quashes Trans Military Rumors: Sources ‘Have No Idea What They Are Talking About’

President-elect Donald Trump’s soon-to-be White House press secretary quashed a report that Trump will “kick transgender troops” out of the military, telling The Daily Wire that the report is based on unnamed sources who have “no idea what they are actually talking about.”

“These unnamed sources are speculating and have no idea what they are actually talking about,” Karoline Leavitt told The Daily Wire. “No decisions on this issue have been made. No policy should ever be deemed official unless it comes directly from President Trump or his authorized spokespeople.”

Her statement followed a report from the London-based Times alleging that Trump would sign an executive order as early as his first day back in the White House kicking trans-identifying troops out of the United States military. The story claimed that there are as many as 15,000 individuals in the military who identify as transgender, and that these troops would be deemed medically discharged upon Trump taking office in January.

During his previous administration, Trump had quickly announced that trans-identifying service members would no longer serve “in any capacity,” arguing that the military needed to be focused on “decisive and overwhelming victory.” His ban on trans-identifying people serving in the military took effect in 2019, but was reversed by President Joe Biden in January 2021.

Jack Smith’s End of Lawfare Charges Against Trump Proves It Was a Political Witch Hunt

Special Counsel Jack Smith said on Monday that the evidence against now President-elect Donald Trump in the 2020 election case is rock-solid and that no one is “above the law” — but that he’d nonetheless drop the charges against Trump.

But if that’s the case, why bail out now? Surely if Trump is really the criminal mastermind Smith alleges he is, there’s no conscionable way he could drop the charges. The reality is that Smith knows this was never about the law. It was about leftists using lawfare to prosecute and ideally jail their political opponent.

“After careful consideration, the Department has determined that OLC’s [Office of Legal Counsel] prior opinions concerning the Constitution’s prohibition on federal indictment and prosecution of a sitting President apply to this situation and that as a result this prosecution must be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated,” Smith’s filing stated.

Smith still made sure to add a throw-away-line that the decision to drop the case did not “turn on the gravity of the crimes charged, the strength of the Government’s proof, or the merits of the prosecution, which the Government stands fully behind.” But, Smith added, the Department of Justice concluded that pursuing the case would hinder Trump’s ability to lead. This Trump Nomination Will Make Leftists’ Heads Spin

If you thought that President-elect Trump had used up all of his “controversial” nominations, buckle up, because he is reportedly planning to appoint Kash Patel, the former chief investigator of the Trump-Russia investigation for the House Intelligence Committee under former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), to a prominent position within either the FBI or the Justice Department, according to top transition sources cited by Axios.

Why it matters: Patel would be a deeply controversial pick for any leadership role, especially FBI director. Given the hurdles Patel might face winning Senate confirmation, Trump is considering naming him deputy director or to an appointed investigative role within DOJ, the sources said.

State of play: A final decision hasn’t been made. Trump still could change his mind, including by elevating Patel all the way to FBI director — a move that would send Gaetz-like shockwaves throughout Washington.

“President-elect Trump has made brilliant decisions on who will serve in his second administration at lightning pace. Remaining decisions will continue to be announced by him when they are made,” incoming White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Axios.

The report also indicates that Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is under consideration for the role of FBI director, following Trump’s selection of Pam Bondi to head the Justice Department. However, no “consensus pick” has yet been finalized. Trump has also indicated plans to dismiss current FBI Director Christopher Wray, whom he appointed in 2017 to a 10-year term after firing James Comey. Jack Smith Surrenders: Ends Florida Prosecution Against Trump in Triumph for President-Elect

Special Counsel Jack Smith is winding down both federal criminal cases he brought against President-elect Donald Trump before they go to trial.

Smith, on Monday, filed a motion to dismiss the election interference case against Trump in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, marking a major victory for the president-elect:

After careful consideration, the Department has determined that OLC’s prior opinions concerning the Constitution’s prohibition on federal indictment and prosecution of a sitting President apply to this situation and that as a result this prosecution must be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated.

Moreover, Smith then filed a motion in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to dismiss an appeal in the documents case, which “will leave in place the district court’s order dismissing the indictment without prejudice as to him.” Smith cites the reasoning laid out in his motion to dismiss the election interference case:

For the reasons set forth in United States v. Trump, No. 23-cr-57, ECF No. 281 (D.D.C.) (filed Nov. 25, 2024) (moving to dismiss criminal prosecution as to defendant Trump in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia), the United States of America moves, pursuant to Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 42 and Eleventh Circuit Rule 42-1, to dismiss the appeal in this case as to defendant Trump.

Trump Returns to Golfing Regularly Months After Assassination Attempt on Course

President-elect Donald Trump has been hitting the golf course regularly since his big 2024 win — proudly riding around in a golf cart and greeting club members and their families just months after an assassin attempted to take his life on the same West Palm Beach, Fla., course.

The 45th president had taken a break from golfing in the final stretch of his campaign as he was traveling — and after would-be assassin Ryan Wesley Routh nearly fired on him during a Sept. 15 round at the Trump International Golf Club.

But following his blowout victory against Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump has hit the course in regular fashion, with one source saying he likes to go out “every lunchtime.”

Trump, wearing a MAGA hat and a red quarter-zip sweater, was spotted taking pictures and inviting a member’s kid to sit in his golf cart over the weekend.

“Oh, I love that girl. I love that hair. I want her hair. Can I buy your hair? I’ll pay you millions for it,” Trump said, before stopping and inviting her onto the cart. (Read more from “Trump Returns to Golfing Regularly Months After Assassination Attempt on Course” HERE)

Trump Meets With NATO Chief Amid Promises of Massive Shakeup

President-elect Donald Trump met with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte at Mar-a-Lago as the organization fears a shakeup following his victory.

The meeting, first revealed in a statement late on Saturday, took place on Friday. The statement said that the two “discussed the range of global security issues facing the Alliance.”

“The Secretary General and his team also met with Congressman Mike Waltz and members of the President-elect’s national security team,” it added.

In a post on X after the meeting, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) echoed Trump’s line on the organization following his 2016 campaign.

“A strong NATO that restores deterrence and peace requires all member nations to do their part commensurate with their economic strength!” he said.

Blinken in Deep Water After State Dept. Hosts Therapy Sessions Post-Trump Win

After President-elect Donald Trump won the election, the Biden-Harris State Department is under fire for hosting in-house therapy sessions for employees. A Free Beacon report found that outgoing Secretary of State Antony Blinken spent federal money on at least two sessions, which a source described as a “cry session” for people to deal with Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss.

In a letter to Blinken, Republican Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) expressed concern that the State Department was coddling its employees even though their preferred candidate did not win the election.

“I am concerned that the Department is catering to federal employees who are personally devastated by the normal functioning of American democracy through the provision of government-funded mental health counseling because Kamala Harris was not elected President of the United States,” the letter stated.

Issa found that the Biden-Harris agency sent an agency-wide email to employees, offering an “insightful webinar where we delve into effective stress management techniques to help you navigate these challenging times.” (Read more from “Blinken in Deep Water After State Dept.
