Bombshell Report Claims That Biden’s Education Department Spent $1 Billion on DEI

A study conducted by parental rights organization Parents Defending Education (PDE) found that President Joe Biden’s Department of Education spent at least $1 billion on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives since 2021.

Researchers found that $490 million was spent on DEI hiring efforts, $343 million on DEI programming and $170 million on DEI-related mental health resources.

Key takeaways from the study include the fact that multiple Education Department grants “feature programming that advances race-based teacher recruiting, hiring, and training, including the use of race-based affinity groups.”

In addition, many grants were issued for youth activism programming used in far-left ethnic studies courses[.] (Read more from “Bombshell Report Claims That Biden’s Education Department Spent $1 Billion on DEI” HERE)

Trump Says He Will Eliminate Daylight Saving Time

President-elect Donald Trump issued a brief statement saying that Republicans would work to end Daylight Saving Time.

DST was proposed by Ben Franklin in 1784 as a way to increase productivity by allowing people more time to sleep when it is dark. The policy was adopted in 1918 in the U.S., but many states refuse to participate, including Arizona, Hawaii, and the territory of Puerto Rico.

Trump offered an explanation why he believes ending DST is in Americans’ interests.

“The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation,” he wrote on social media. (Read more from “Trump Says He Will Eliminate Daylight Saving Time” HERE)

Here’s Who Trump Reportedly Invited to His Inauguration

President-elect Donald Trump has reportedly invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to his inauguration in January, though it’s unclear whether the foreign leader will attend or not.

CBS News reports the invitation came shortly after Trump won the Nov. 5 election.

In addition to Xi, the president-elect’s team has raised the possibility of hosting other leaders at the Capitol on Jan. 20. Hungary’s far-right leader, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has a warm relationship with Trump and visited him at Mar-a-Lago this week, is “still considering” whether to attend, according to a source familiar with Orbán’s plans. […]

Ambassadors and other diplomats are typically invited to inaugurations, but State Department records dating back to 1874 show that a foreign leader has never attended a transfer-of-power ceremony.

Members of Trump’s inner circle remain sharp critics of Xi’s government, including Sen. Marco Rubio, his pick to be secretary of state, and incoming national security adviser Mike Waltz.

Trump Appoints Kari Lake to Head Voice of America News Agency

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Kari Lake, a former newscaster and candidate for Arizona governor and U.S. Senate, to be the new chief of Voice of America, the government-funded worldwide news agency.

And leftists are melting down over the appointment of the longtime Trump supporter.

Just the News noted that Trump’s announcement said Lake will work alongside the next leader of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, who has not yet been nominated.

Lake was a candidate for Arizona governor in 2022 and the U.S. Senate in 2024, and lost both races by narrow margins.

“I am pleased to announce that Kari Lake will serve as our next Director of the Voice of America,” Trump explained in a posting on Truth Social. “She will be appointed by, and work closely with, our next head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, who I will announce soon, to ensure that the American values of Freedom and Liberty are broadcast around the World FAIRLY and ACCURATELY, unlike the lies spread by the Fake News Media.” (Read more from “Trump Appoints Kari Lake to Head Voice of America News Agency” HERE)

Dem Gov Reverses Course on Trump Criticism, Says He Clearly Cares About Her State

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signaled willingness to work with Donald Trump in an interview this week, saying the president-elect clearly cared about her state.

“People in Michigan, like a majority of Americans, voted for Donald Trump, and my oath is to Michigan,” Whitmer told CNN at a meeting of Democratic governors in Los Angeles. “Obviously, I’ve got experience in this type of environment that will help inform how I continue to fight for Michigan. But I know Donald Trump cares about Michigan. And I’m hoping that because of that, we’ll be able to find some common ground in some important ways.”

Trump won back Michigan in the 2024 election en route to re-capturing the White House. Whitmer is widely seen as a possible White House contender in 2028 given her status as a 2-term governor of a battleground state.

Whitmer seemed to be employing the tactic of not antagonizing Trump in public, given the federal government’s ability to allocate aid and prioritize certain states’ initiatives.

Whitmer and Trump butted heads in the media during his first term, particularly over his administration’s COVID-19 response. She was floated as a possible running mate for Kamala Harris, but declined consideration so she could conclude her second term in office, which is up in 2027. Donald Trump Expected to Be Named TIME Magazine Person of the Year: Report

Donald Trump’s run of good fortune is expected to be recognized this week by Time magazine, which will name him Person of the Year, according to Politico.

Time will announce the winner Thursday morning on its website.

Trump’s political comeback after two impeachments, four indictments, losing the 2020 election and inciting a riot at the U.S. Capitol to try to overturn the results is a remarkable moment in American history.

The president-elect also survived two assassination attempts. A bullet grazed his ear and killed a rallygoer during the first assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. (Read more from “Donald Trump Expected to Be Named TIME Magazine Person of the Year: Report” HERE)

DA Alvin Bragg’s Latest Move Proves He Won’t Give Up His Case Against Trump

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg still refuses to drop his case against President-elect Donald Trump, as an 82-page brief filed on Tuesday, titled the “PEOPLE’S MEMORANDUM OF LAW IN OPPOSITION TO DEFENDANT’S MOTION TO DISMISS,” lays out. While Trump’s legal team has argued that his election means Judge Juan Merchan has to toss out the case, Bragg’s office argues that this doesn’t kick in until Trump is inaugurated on January 20. Last month, Merchan indefinitely delayed sentencing.

Not only is there such a section in the brief about how Trump does not have immunity as the president-elect, but there’s also a section claiming, “Defendant’s forthcoming presidential immunity does not require dismissal.”

The brief signals Bragg remains opposed to tossing the case, and lays out several alternatives that Merchan can consider. As The Hill summarized:

Bragg previously signaled he would oppose Trump’s effort to outright toss the case, and the new filing provides prosecutors’ most extensive arguments yet about how Trump’s return to the White House should impact the first criminal prosecution of a former president.

The 82-page brief does not plainly spell out the state’s preference for what should happen, instead walking through several options. Prosecutors left the door open to sentencing Trump before his inauguration but acknowledged Trump’s vows to stop it.

‘Do Not Get Involved!’ Trump Puts Boot Into Russia as Overstretched Armed Forces Fail to Come to Assad’s Aid

By WND. U.S. president-elect Donald Trump said on Sunday that Syrian President Bashar Assad had “fled his country” after losing the backing of Russia. “Assad is gone,” he said on his Truth Social platform. “His protector, Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, was not interested in protecting him any longer. Russia had no reason to be there in the first place. They lost all interest in Syria because of Ukraine. Russia and Iran are now in a weak position, one, because of Ukraine and a bad economy, and two because of Israel and its success in fighting.”

The Syrian government fell early Sunday in a stunning end to the more than 50-year rule of the Assad family after a sudden rebel offensive sprinted across government-held territory and entered the capital in 10 days. Biden Says Fall of Assad Regime in Syria Is a ‘Historic Opportunity’

By ABC News. President Joe Biden addressed the nation Sunday afternoon after meeting with his national security team, calling the fall of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s “abhorrent” regime a “historic opportunity for the long-suffering people of Syria.”

“At long last, the Assad regime has fallen,” Biden said. “This regime brutalized, tortured and killed literally hundreds of thousands of innocent Syrians.”

At the same time, it’s “also a moment of risk and uncertainty,” Biden added, saying that the U.S. would “support Syria’s neighbors, including Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Israel, should any threat arise.”

He also said the U.S. is “mindful” of the security of Americans in Syria, including American freelance journalist and Marine Corps veteran Austin Tice, who was kidnapped while reporting in Syria in 2012. Biden said it will “remain committed to returning [Tice] to his family.”

“This is a moment of considerable risk and uncertainty,” Biden said. “But I also believe this is the best opportunity in generations for Syrians to forge their own future free of opposition.” (Read more from “Biden Says Fall of Assad Regime in Syria Is a ‘Historic Opportunity’” HERE)

‘They Came in Illegally’: Trump Clashes With ‘Meet the Press’ Host Over Deportation Promises

President-elect Donald Trump and “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker clashed over Trump’s promises to deport illegal immigrants during an interview that aired Sunday morning.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump highlighted a series of crimes involving illegal immigrants, including the murders of Rachel Morin, Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray and the struggles experienced by the city of Springfield, Ohio after an influx of over 20,000 Haitian migrants. Trump said that the failure to enforce laws regarding immigration had been “unfair” to legal immigrants.

“I think you have to do it, and it’s a very tough thing to do. But you have to have, you know you have rules, regulations, laws. They came in illegally,” Trump told Welker. “You know, the people who have been treated very unfairly are the people who have been [in] line for 10 years that come into the country and we’re gonna make it very easy for people to come in terms of, they have to pass the test. They have to be able to tell you what the Statue of Liberty is, they have to tell you a little bit about our country, they have to love our country.”

“They can’t come out of prisons. We don’t want people that are in for murder,” Trump continued. “We had 11,000 and 13,000, different estimates, 13,099, murderers released into our country over the last three years. They’re walking down the streets, they’re walking next to you and your family and they’re very dangerous.” (Read more from “‘They Came in Illegally’: Trump Clashes With ‘Meet the Press’ Host Over Deportation Promises” HERE)

How Team Trump plans to ‘Make America Wealthy Again’

Team Trump released a video Monday obtained exclusively by Blaze News highlighting President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees, who the Trump team says will “Make America Wealthy Again.”

Trump’s nominees include Kevin Hassett for director of the National Economic Council, Howard Lutnick for secretary of commerce, and Scott Bessent for secretary of the treasury. Team Trump told Blaze News that the nominees will work in the administration to prioritize American workers and industry jobs as well as “permanently establish” Trump’s tax cuts and eliminate taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security.

“The American people gave President Trump a mandate to Make America Wealthy Again by restoring our economy to be even better than his first term,” Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for the Trump-Vance transition team, told Blaze News.

“From Howard Lutnick and Scott Bessent’s experience as transformative leaders on Wall Street to Kevin Hassett’s proven policy record from President Trump’s first term, these nominees are ready to invest in the American people,” Leavitt continued. “Together, they form a team of economic experts dedicated to fighting for working families and Making America Wealthy Again.”

Lutnick has been a “transformative leader” on Wall Street for the last 40 years. Lutnick began his career in 1983 at Cantor Fitzgerald, quickly ascending to president and CEO by the impressive age of 29. A pivotal moment in Lutnick’s career was in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks that claimed the lives of hundreds of his employees, including his brother and his best friend. As a tribute, Lutnick committed himself to rebuilding the firm to support the families of those whose lives were lost and to “provide a source of hope and strength for survivors.” (Read more from “How Team Trump plans to ‘Make America Wealthy Again'” HERE)
