Security Had Reportedly Been Stationed on Rooftop Used by Trump Rally Shooter, but Abandoned It Due to ‘Hot Weather’

Law enforcement at Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally reportedly had an individual stationed atop the “sloped” roof used by the shooter prior to the incident, but it was abandoned because of “hot weather,” according to a whistleblower familiar with Secret Service planning.

Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley released a letter on X (formerly known as Twitter) to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on Monday, calling out Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s previous claim that security had not been stationed on the roof where gunshots were later fired from due to it being “sloped,” according to NBC News.

“Contrary to Director Cheatle’s public statements about the ‘safety’ of the sloped roof of American Glass Research Building 6, one whistleblower with direct knowledge of Secret Service planning for the event alleges that there was supposed to be a law enforcement presence on the roof that day,” Hawley wrote.

Hawley claimed a whistleblower alleges “at least one” security agent had been posted on the rooftop of the American Glass Research Building 6, but later “abandoned his or her post,” leaving law enforcement to “forego patrolling” the building.

“In fact, the whistleblower alleges that at least one individual was specifically assigned to the roof for the duration of the rally, but this person abandoned his or her post due to the hot weather. The whistleblower further alleges that concerns over the heat prompted law enforcement to forego patrolling Building 6 and instead to station security personnel inside the building,” Hawley wrote. Pastor Reveals What Trump Did After Massive Fire Torches Historic Church Sanctuary at First Baptist Church

Pastor Robert Jeffress, leader of the historic First Baptist Church in Dallas, said former President Donald Trump reached out after the church’s historic sanctuary burned down.

On Friday shortly after 6 p.m., Dallas Fire and Rescue received a call about a fire at the church’s historic sanctuary, which had been in use since the 1890s. The fire eventually grew to a four-alarm blaze that took more than three hours to extinguish. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed in the fire. . .

But Pastor Jeffress, who is an ardent Trump supporter, told local media that he doesn’t believe his support for the former president is behind the fire.

More importantly, he said Trump is offering his support in the wake of the devastating fire.

“I don’t believe my support for President Trump has anything to do with this fire,” Jeffress told KTVT-TV. “I did receive a nice note from the president, who has spoken here before at our church. He offered his help to do anything he could.” (Read more from “Pastor Reveals What Trump Did After Massive Fire Torches Historic Church Sanctuary at First Baptist Church” HERE)

Report: Kamala Harris Secures Support Among Enough Delegates to Become Democrat Nominee

Vice President Kamala Harris has been coasting toward the Democrat Party nomination in the wake of President Joe Biden dropping from the race, earning enough delegates to shore up support.

Biden exited the race on Sunday and immediately endorsed Harris, which prompted waves of support and endorsements from top Democrat officials and fundraisers. According to an Associated Press (AP) survey, several delegations met late on Monday to “confirm their support for Harris, including Texas and her home state of California.”

“By Monday night, Harris had the support of at least 2,471 delegates, according to the AP tally of delegates, more than the 1,976 delegates she’ll need to win on a first ballot. No other candidate was named by a delegate contacted by the AP,” noted the outlet.

Harris told campaign staff in Delaware on Monday that she has confidence her new team will perform well, adding that it is her “intention to go out and earn this nomination and to win,” promising to “unite our Democratic Party, to unite our nation, and to win this election.” . . .

Chairman Rusty Hicks said 75 to 80 percent of the state’s delegation was on a call Monday and expressed unanimous support for Harris. (Read more from “Report: Kamala Harris Secures Support Among Enough Delegates to Become Democrat Nominee” HERE)

Republicans Call for Biden to Resign Now That He’s Dropped Out of the Race

Republicans began calling for President Joe Biden to resign the presidency after the president ended his reelection bid Sunday.

Biden announced he would not accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for president in a Sunday afternoon post on X, following it up by endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination. Republicans responded to Biden’s decision to drop out by demanding he resign the presidency.

“If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President,” Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson of Louisiana posted on X. “He must resign the office immediately. November 5 cannot arrive soon enough.”

Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, the party’s nominee for vice-president, had questioned whether Biden should remain in office should he end his reelection bid before Biden’s announcement.

Donald Trump Responds After Joe Biden Drops 2024 Reelection Bid

Republican 2024 presidential nominee Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden after the president announced Sunday he was dropping out of the 2024 election.

Minutes after the announcement, Trump reportedly told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins in a phone call that Biden is “the worst president in the history of our country.”

“In a phone call with CNN minutes after Biden announced his exit from the 2024 race, former President Trump responded, ‘He is the worst president in the history of our country. He goes down as the single worst president by far in the history of our country.’ While it’s unclear who the Democratic nominee will be, Trump said he thinks VP Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden would have been,” Collins wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Minutes later, Trump took to Truth Social and claimed Biden “was not fit to run” for president and “is certainly not fit to serve.”

“Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement,” Trump wrote.

Donald Trump Slams Secret Service One Week After Attempted Assassination

Donald Trump is now getting in on all the Secret Service bashing a week after his attempted assassination.

The 2024 Republican presidential nominee and his VP pick J.D. Vance sat down for an interview with Fox News host, Jesse Watters, which will air Monday on the network.

In a teaser clip released Saturday, Trump slammed the Secret Service for not protecting him at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally last weekend.

He told Watters the Secret Service never informed him there was a gunman on a building rooftop before he took the stage. . .

Trump then took a shot at Secret Service for allowing the shooter to climb up to the rooftop while the crowd was screaming there’s a man with a gun way before Donald came out to give his speech. (Read more from “Donald Trump Slams Secret Service One Week After Attempted Assassination” HERE)

Trump Pledges to End Ukraine-Russia War in Phone Call With Zelensky

Former President Donald Trump has announced a diplomatic initiative aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, following a pivotal phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump’s bold commitment was outlined in a statement on Truth Social.

In his statement, Trump described the conversation with President Zelensky as productive, highlighting bipartisan American support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and condemning recent acts of aggression by Russia. He pledged to leverage his potential return to the White House to facilitate peace talks.

“We agreed to discuss at a personal meeting what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting,” Zelensky affirmed in a subsequent post.

Trump’s initiative comes amid escalating tensions and ongoing military clashes in Ukraine, exacerbated by what Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán describes as a concerning escalation of conflict. Orbán, who recently met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and engaged in diplomatic missions across key capitals, has been a vocal advocate for renewed peace efforts and a critic of Western policies that he perceives as fueling further discord.

Orbán expressed confidence in Trump’s readiness to act decisively as a peace broker, stressing that Trump’s approach is grounded in detailed plans aimed at de-escalation and fostering conditions conducive to ceasefire and negotiations.

Report: Top Democrats Say Joe Biden Will Exit Race as ‘Soon as This Weekend’

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden will step aside as the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee as “soon as this weekend,” several top Democrats privately told Axios Thursday.

The Biden-Harris campaign immediately rejected the idea, telling Bloomberg that Biden will remain atop the ticket.

Alex Marlow, Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief and author of the New York Times bestselling book Breaking Biden, suggested that the most probable way to persuade Biden to withdraw from the race would be to offer him a significant financial incentive.

Nearly two-thirds of Democrats want Biden to quit the race, an Associated Press/NORC poll found Wednesday.

“His choice is to be one of history’s heroes, or to be sure of the fact that there’ll never be a Biden presidential library,” one of Biden’s closest friends told Axios. “I pray that he does the right thing. He’s headed that way.”

Biden Pushes Party Unity as He Resists Calls to Step Aside, Says He’ll Return to Campaign Next Week

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden on Friday appealed for party unity to take on former President Donald Trump’s “dark vision,” working to hold off pressure from Democrats at the highest levels for him to bow out of the 2024 election to make way for a new nominee and avoid widespread losses.

As more Democratic members of Congress called for him to drop out Friday — bringing the total since his disastrous debate against Trump to at least 30 — Biden remained isolated at his beach house in Delaware after being diagnosed with COVID-19. The president, who has insisted he can beat Trump, was huddling with family and relying on a few longtime aides as he tries to resist efforts to shove him aside.

Biden said Trump’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention showcased a “dark vision for the future.” The president, seeking to move the political conversation away from his fate and onto his rival’s agenda, said Friday he was planning to return to the campaign trail next week and insisted he has a path to victory over Trump, despite the worries of some of his party’s most eminent members. Franklin Graham Says God ‘Spared’ Trump’s Life After Assassination Attempt

Donald Trump had a near death experience, “no question. But God spared his life,” evangelist Franklin Graham said Thursday on the final night of the Republican National Convention, just days after a gunman attempted to kill the former president at a Pennsylvania rally.

“When we go through those experiences, it changes us. It can cause us to examine our lives and to reevaluate our priorities, as it should,” Graham said in Milwaukee.

“When President Trump rose from that platform, he rose with his fist raised in strength, showing America his unshakable resolve to fight for them in this nation. I cannot explain why God would save one life and allow another one to be taken. I don’t have the answer for that. But one thing I do know is that God loves us, and he wants us to be with him in heaven one day. And that’s through faith in His Son Jesus Christ,” he added.

Trump’s Triumph at the RNC Suggests Something Bigger Than Politics is Unfolding in America

It’s difficult to describe historical moments as they’re unfolding, but let me hazard a few initial observations about former President Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.

Watching a presidential candidate (and former president) describe his near-assassination less than a week after a bullet came within millimeters of ending his life is quite simply the most captivating, awe-inspiring thing that has ever happened at a political convention in this country.

“I will tell you exactly what happened, and you’ll never hear it from me a second time because it’s actually too painful to tell,” Trump said.

In a calm, almost somber tone, Trump recounted in detail his near-death experience to a breathless watching world. “I’m not supposed to be here,” he said, attributing his survival to “the grace of Almighty God.” Many in attendance, and not a few watching at home, were in tears as Trump told his tale. He described getting shot in the ear, the blood running down his face, and the Secret Service agents shielding him. Again he invoked divine providence: “There was blood pouring, and yet, in a certain way, I felt very safe because I had God on my side.”

Then he described the crowd’s reaction: They didn’t run, they didn’t stampede. They were worried about him, Trump said, afraid he might be badly wounded — or worse. Trump said he wanted to show them he was all right, that he wasn’t going anywhere. So he stood up, raised his fist, and shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight!” When he said this, the crowd at the convention echoed him in chorus.
