Former Green Beret Lawmaker Defends Service Member Under Investigation for Trump Rally Appearance

Rep. Michael Waltz, a former Green Beret, is throwing his support behind a Marine currently under investigation for appearing at a Trump rally.

Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark is being investigated for potentially violating the political activities directive within the Department of Defense policy for coming onstage at former President Donald Trump’s Sept. 25 “Save America” rally in Perry, Georgia.

After being called onstage by the former president, Clark introduced himself as “the guy that pulled the baby over the wall,” referencing the viral video of a service member near the gates of Hamid Karzai International Airport amid the tumultuous evacuation efforts during the final stretch of the Afghanistan War .

Waltz, in a letter on Thursday addressed to Gen. David Berger, the commandant of the Marine Corps, said that he does “not believe LCpl Clark violated any policies,” and he urged the military officer to “consider the perspective of conservatives who believe the military is unevenly applying justice to servicemembers who hold conservative beliefs.”

The Florida Republican also encouraged the command team to “consider the perspective that supporters of former President Trump view the investigation as politically driven.” (Read more from “Former Green Beret Lawmaker Defends Service Member Under Investigation for Trump Rally Appearance” HERE)

Trump To Use Executive Privilege to Block Jan. 6 Subpoenas

Former President Donald Trump will use executive privilege to block subpoenas from the House committee investigating the storming of the U.S. Capitol building, a new report says.

The subpoenas, issued Sept. 23, have a Thursday deadline to comply or face “criminal referrals.” Trump will instead invoke executive privilege, a power he retains over events that occurred during his administration despite leaving office, to protect a handful of former aides from divulging information about Jan. 6, Grant Stinchfield from Newsmax reported Wednesday.

“He is going to invoke executive privilege, and that means that people like Chief of Staff Mark Meadows; Dan Scavino, a top adviser; and Kash Patel, another top adviser, will not be able to comply with these subpoenas coming from the Jan. 6 commission,” Stinchfield said. “This is what you get with President Trump. You get a man who fights back. That’s what we love about President Trump, and he’s sticking it to these people trying to go after him.”

Trump lawyer Patrick Philbin, a former deputy White House counsel, is expected to tell the men not to comply with the subpoenas because doing so would hinder the president’s right to confidential information they gave to him during his administration, the host added. Forget Jan. 6, Trump Urges Probe of ‘Insurrection’ That Took Place Nov. 3

Former President Trump is calling for an investigation of the “insurrection” that happened last Nov. 3.

Democrats and leftists have uniformly used that description for the Jan. 6 events at the U.S. Capitol, where thousands attended a nearby rally with President Trump, and some then walked over to the Capitol building. . .

What lawmakers need to review, he said, is the “insurrection” that “changed last year’s election rules and committee chairman Bennie Thompson’s ties to a black separatist group whose members killed cops decades ago,” a Just the News report said.

“Trump said the real insurrection occurred in connection with the Nov. 3 election when liberals managed to change the rules for elections in key states to, among other things, treat mail-in ballots like ‘junk mail,’ use insecure drop boxes to collect votes, and extend counting deadlines, all in the name of battling the COVID-19 pandemic,” the report said.

While numerous lawsuits over suspicious events during the 2020 election failed to result in any changes, what is not in question is that state and local officials arbitrarily changed state laws regarding ballots in order to accommodate mail-in votes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden Administration Lifts Trump-Era Abortion Policy

The Biden administration reversed a Trump-era policy prohibiting federally-funded family planning clinics from making abortion referrals, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said Monday.

“Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a final rule to strengthen the Title X family planning program, fulfilling the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to restore access to equitable, affordable, client-centered, quality family planning services,” the statement reads.

In the final rule, it describes the change as a way to “readopt” regulations and “revoke the requirements of the 2019 regulations, including removing restrictions on nondirective options counseling and referrals for abortion services and eliminating requirements for strict physical and financial separation between abortion-related activities and Title X project activities.”

Prior to 2019, federally-funded family planning clinics did not utilize tax dollars for abortions. The Trump administration’s policy took this a step further, not allowing these clinics to refer patients to abortions. (Read more from “Biden Administration Lifts Trump-Era Abortion Policy” HERE)

Mike Pence Says He ‘Parted Amicably’ With Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence said late Monday that he “parted amicably” with former President Trump at the end of their terms in January.

During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Pence was asked about his relationship with the former president amid their disagreements about certifying the 2020 election on Jan. 6.

“Look, you can’t spend almost five years in a political foxhole with somebody without developing a strong relationship,” Pence said.

Trump repeatedly pressured Pence to block the results of the 2020 election when Congress certified them on Jan. 6. During the count, a mob of Trump’s supporters breached the Capitol, leading to a delay of the certification.

Congress would ultimately certify President Biden’s Electoral College victory once the Capitol was secured. (Read more from “Mike Pence Says He ‘Parted Amicably’ With Trump” HERE)

Trump Wants Revocation of Pulitzer Prize, Cites Collusion Misreporting

Former President Donald Trump called on the Pulitzer Prize Board to rescind the 2018 National Reporting awards granted to the New York Times and the Washington Post for their coverage of the Russian collusion story, claiming the stories were based on “false reporting” and a “complete lack of evidence.”

“As has been widely publicized, the coverage was no more than a politically motivated farce which attempted to spin a false narrative that my campaign supposedly colluded with Russia despite a complete lack of evidence underpinning this allegation,” Trump wrote in a letter addressed to Bud Kliment, the interim administrator of the awards.

Trump pointed to the indictment of Michael Sussmann, a lawyer who had worked for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, in special counsel John Durham ‘s investigation as evidence for his complaint. Durham alleged Sussmann lied to the FBI about who he was representing when he tipped the agency in September 2016 to a possible link between the Trump campaign and Alfa Bank , which has ties to the Kremlin.

The Sussmann indictment “serves as a damning repudiation of the media’s obsession with the collusion story. The indictment pointedly accuses Mr. Sussman of making false statements to the FBI when he presented ‘evidence’ purporting to show secret communications between my organization and the Russia-based Alfa Bank,” Trump added in the letter. Country Singer Not Backing Over Anti-Biden Wear: I’ll ‘Never Apologize for My Beliefs’

Pro-Trump and openly pro-American country music star Jason Aldean will not be bullied or cowed into recanting his beliefs.

Following left-wing backlash over his family’s open criticism of President Joe Biden and support for former President Donald Trump, Aldean took to Instagram to emphasize his unapologetic stand.

“I will never apologize for my beliefs or my love for my family and country,” the country music superstar captioned a photo of himself on stage surrounded by the American flag. “This is the greatest country in the world and I want to keep it that way.”

For good measure, Aldean added the hashtag “#unapologetic.”

Poll: Majority of Trump Voters Favor Seceding

A new poll from the University of Virginia Center for Politics shows that a majority of “Trump voters” support the idea of seceding from the nation now run by a gaffe-prone and aging Democrat, Joe Biden, and the long list of catastrophes and crises he’s allowed under his leftist activism.

Those range from the loss of $80 billion in American war machinery, and American personnel, in his withdrawal from Afghanistan, surging inflation, attempts to have the federal government take over elections, the border crisis, his abandonment of religious rights, budget excesses and more.

The poll found that 52% of “Trump voters” agreed with the statement: “The situation in America is such that I would favor (states) seceding from the union to form their own separate country.”

Twenty five percent agreed “strongly.” (Read more from “Poll: Majority of Trump Voters Favor Seceding” HERE)

WH Blames Trump for Biden’s ‘Lack of Progress’ on COVID (VIDEO)

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during Thursday’s press briefing that the White House would have made progress on dealing with the pandemic if it wasn’t for former President Donald Trump.

A reporter asked Psaki about President Joe Biden’s decision to maintain Trump-era policies like Title 42, as well as following through on Trump agenda items like withdrawing from Afghanistan. . .

“Title 42 is a public health requirement,” Psaki responded. “Because we are in the middle of a pandemic, which by the way, we would have made progress on had the former president actually addressed the pandemic and not suggested people inject bleach.”

“So I think we are in a different place,” she added. “I am happy to discuss more examples. I think people would be hard-pressed to argue that the president has taken any aspect of the former president’s playbook and use it as a model of his own.” (Read more from “WH Blames Trump for Biden’s ‘Lack of Progress’ on COVID” HERE)
