Trump Attorney Blasts Georgia Official for ‘Secretly’ Taping ‘Confidential’ Call

A lawyer for President Donald Trump has slammed Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) for “secretly” recording a telephone call with the president, describing their conversation as a “confidential settlement discussion” regarding the Peach State’s presidential election outcome.

Lawyer Kurt Hilbert made the remarks in the wake of President Trump’s Saturday call with Raffensperger, portions of which were published Sunday by the Washington Post. During the recording, the president said to the Georgia election official, “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

In a statement to Fox News, Hilbert said, “We are disappointed that the secretary of state and his staff secretly recorded and released a confidential settlement discussion to settle the two pending lawsuits.”

“While they may think that behavior is appropriate, we do not,” he added. “Consequently, we will not be commenting on settlement discussions.” (Read more from “Trump Attorney Blasts Georgia Official for ‘Secretly’ Taping ‘Confidential’ Call” HERE)

Trump Joins Call Urging State Legislators to Consider Decertifying ‘Unlawful’ Election Results

President Trump spoke to 300 state legislators from the battleground states of Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia on Saturday in a Zoom conference call hosted by Got Freedom? in which the 501 (c) (4) non-profit election integrity watchdog group urged those lawmakers to review evidence that the election process in their states was unlawful and consider decertifying the results of the November 3 presidential election.

President Trump addressed the call for 15 minutes at the invitation of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who now serves as the president’s personal attorney, and was one of the featured speakers on the call.

Other featured speakers included Chapman Law School Professor John Eastman, Dr. Peter Navarro, Assistant to the President for Trade and Manufacturing (appearing in his personal capacity), John Lott, Senior Advisor, U.S. Department of Justice (also appearing in his personal capacity), and Liberty University Law School Professor Phill Kline.

Kline, a former attorney general in Kansas, is a spokesperson for the 501 (c) (4) Got Freedom? non-profit, and also serves as director of the 501 (c) (3) Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, an election integrity public interest law firm which is engaged in litigation regarding the 2020 election.

In a press statement released after the call, GotFreedom? said they conducted Saturday’s “exclusive national briefing . . . at the request of state legislators from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to review the extensive evidence of irregularities and lawlessness in the 2020 presidential election.”

At Least 140 House Republicans Expected to Object to Electoral College Vote

By Breitbart. At least 140 GOP lawmakers in the soon-to-be 117th Congress will object to the electoral college vote on January 6, some lawmakers predict.

Congress will formally count the electoral college votes from each state on January 6, three days after the new Congress is sworn in. While existing members and newcomers of the House have released statements indicating that they will object, some lawmakers expect there to be “at least 140 Republican Members of the House” joining the effort in objecting to the certification of a Joe Biden victory:

Similarly, Rep. Denver Riggleman (R-VA), who lost his party’s nomination earlier this year, reportedly told Forbes that the number of GOP lawmakers united in the effort is “staggering.”

“140 certainly seems possible. … I wouldn’t be surprised if it were a little higher,” he said, noting that “pressure” is mounting.

“I would be getting pressure right now,” he continued, explaining that colleagues know the move “keeps their base happy, they know it’ll keep the conference happy and they know it’s not gonna win anyway.” (Read more from “At Least 140 House Republicans Expected to Object to Electoral College Vote” HERE)

Rep-Elect on Trump’s Electoral College Challenge: ‘There’s No Question in My Mind That I Think He Won’

By The Hill. Rep.-elect Burgess Owens (R-Utah) expressed his support for a challenge to the Electoral College vote that certified President-elect Joe Biden’s win, saying Thursday that there’s “no question” that President Trump won reelection.

Owens, who was endorsed by Trump, told The Salt Lake Tribune in an interview that he “absolutely” believes Trump won the presidential election, despite Biden being widely recognized as the president-elect since November.

“There’s no question in my mind that I think he won,” he said.

The incoming Utah representative’s comments come as Congress is scheduled to certify the election results on Wednesday, a move that several lawmakers plan to block in a long-shot effort to overturn the election.

Owens, a former NFL player, compared the fight to his experience in football, saying he plans “to leave everything on the field” for the president. (Read more from “Rep-Elect on Trump’s Electoral College Challenge: ‘There’s No Question in My Mind That I Think He Won'” HERE)

SEE IT: Trump Supporters ‘Uncancel’ Scrapped New Year’s Parade, Hold Own Event

New Year’s Day in Pasadena, Calif.: Time for a parade, right?

Some Trump supporters thought so Friday after the Tournament of Roses Parade – a long-standing Southern California tradition to kick off each year — was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

At least 600 vehicles participated in the event along the usual Rose Parade route. Many vehicles sported American flags from their windows or from the beds of pickup trucks – and drivers honked their horns as they traveled down Colorado Boulevard.

“Trump 2020” flags and patriotic “Don’t Tread on Me” banners also were seen in videos posted on social media.

Congress Overrides Trump Veto for the First Time

Congress delivered a stinging rebuke to President Trump during a rare New Year’s Day session Friday, handing him his first veto override in the final days of his administration.

The GOP-controlled Senate voted 81-13 to override Trump’s veto of a mammoth defense bill, well above the two-thirds support necessary, underscoring the depth of disagreement between the two sides of Pennsylvania Avenue.

The House voted 322-87 earlier this week to nix Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which greenlights spending levels and lays out policy for the Pentagon.

It caps off a chaotic session for Congress that started with the longest government shutdown in modern history, included an impeachment trial and is now closing in a rare rebuke of Trump. In addition to the veto fight, which was the last vote of the 116th Congress, Senate Republicans effectively killed the president’s demand for an increase in recently-passed stimulus checks, and next week Congress will ultimately reject a long-shot attempt by conservatives to hand the election to Trump. Campaign Adviser: Trump Team Wants to Present ‘Specific Evidence’ on Jan. 6; Report: Mitch McConnell Calls Jan. 6 Vote ‘Most Consequential I Have Ever Cast’ in Call With GOP Senators

By The Epoch Times. President Donald Trump’s campaign adviser said the team is aiming to present evidence during a potential congressional debate on Jan. 6 if lawmakers in the House and Senate object to states’ Electoral College votes.

As of Wednesday, it appears that at least one member of the Senate, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), and a number of House lawmakers will object to the electoral votes during the Joint Session of Congress. Hawley announced he would object to the electoral vote, pointing to previous Democratic efforts to do so during the 2004 and 2016 presidential elections. After the objection, an hours-long debate will occur.

Miller said that evidence could be presented in Congress, which would differ from what the Trump campaign presented in courts over the past several weeks.

“We will have a chance in front of the American people, next week to present these cases, all these evidences of fraud,” Miller told Newsmax, pointing to a lawsuit filed by Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) against Vice President Mike Pence earlier this week to prevent him from confirming Joe Biden’s electoral victory. Miller told the outlet that the 1887 Electoral Count Act allows the vice president, who is the president of the Senate, to preside over the Joint Session of Congress.

Then, Miller told Newsmax that he hopes at least one senator and representative join together to object to the Electoral College vote, allowing for two hours of debate. (Read more from “Trump Campaign Adviser: Trump Team Wants to Present ‘Specific Evidence’ on Jan. 6” HERE)

Report: Mitch McConnell Calls Jan. 6 Vote ‘Most Consequential I Have Ever Cast’ in Call With GOP Senators

By Daily Caller. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called his Electoral College certification vote on Jan. 6 the “most consequential I have ever cast” during a call with Senate Republicans, Axios reported Thursday.

McConnell describes his upcoming vote as “a vote of conscience,” sources told Axios. “I’m finishing 36 years in the Senate and I’ve cast a lot of big votes,” the source paraphrased McConnell as saying. “And in my view, just my view, this will be the most consequential I have ever cast,” McConnell said.

UPDATE: As of Saturday, 11 Senators join the effort to challenge certification

By Zachary Steiber. A group of 11 senators on Saturday announced they’re going to challenge electoral votes during the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress.

“America is a Republic whose leaders are chosen in democratic elections. Those elections, in turn, must comply with the Constitution and with federal and state law,” the group wrote in a joint statement.

“When the voters fairly decide an election, pursuant to the rule of law, the losing candidate should acknowledge and respect the legitimacy of that election. And, if the voters choose to elect a new office-holder, our Nation should have a peaceful transfer of power. The election of 2020, like the election of 2016, was hard fought and, in many swing states, narrowly decided. The 2020 election, however, featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud, violations, and lax enforcement of election law, and other voting irregularities.”

The allegations of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election “exceed any in our lifetime,” the group added, noting courts, including the Supreme Court, have repeatedly declined to hear evidence of alleged fraud.

The senators said Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of election returns in disputed states. Once completed, the states would evaluate the commission’s findings and convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed. WATCH: President Trump Praises American Response to Chinese Coronavirus In New Year’s Message

President Trump on Thursday released a New Year’s message from the White House, and he praised the nation for its amazing response to the Chinese coronavirus that invaded early in 2020, and has killed hundreds of thousands.

He said while vaccines normally take years to develop, American government and industry working together did that in just nine months to fight COVID-19. . .

“As long as we remain loyal to our nation, devoted to our citizens and faithful to almighty God, we know the best is yet to come.”

Trump Extends Order Halting Visas to Prioritize Americans for U.S. Jobs

President Trump has extended an executive order to prioritize unemployed Americans for jobs in the United States rather than allowing businesses to import foreign visa workers.

In June 2020, Trump signed an executive order halting H-1B visas, H-4 visas, H-2B visas, L visas, and J-1 visas while tens of millions of Americans were jobless or underemployed due to economic lockdowns as a result of the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

The order was set to expire at the end of 2020, but Trump intervened to extend the order to continue prioritizing U.S. jobs for unemployed Americans instead of allowing businesses to import foreign visa workers in a struggling labor market.

The extension of the order reads:

The effects of COVID-19 on the United States labor market and on the health of American communities is a matter of ongoing national concern. The current number of new daily cases worldwide reported by the World Health Organization, for example, is higher than the comparable number present during June, and while therapeutics and vaccines are recently available for an increasing number of Americans, their effect on the labor market and community health has not yet been fully realized.

U.S. Lawmakers Find There Were More Votes Than Voters; Joe Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President-Elect’

By WND. State lawmakers in Pennsylvania have discovered a serious problem with the 2020 presidential election.

In a report posted online, the lawmakers explain how they did extensive analysis of election data.

What they found were “troubling discrepancies between the numbers of total votes counted and the total number of voters who voted in the 2020 general election.”

They now are questioning “how the results of the presidential election could possibly have been certified by Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar and Governor Tom Wolf.”

The report explained, “A comparison of official county election results to the total number of voters who voted on November 3, 2020 as recorded by the Department of State shows that 6,962,607 total ballots were reported as being cast, while DoS/SURE system records indicate that only 6,760,230 total voters actually voted. Among the 6,962,607 total ballots cast, 6,931,060 total votes were counted in the presidential race, including all three candidates on the ballot and write-in candidates.” (Read more from “U.S. Lawmakers Find There Were More Votes Than Voters” HERE)

Joe Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President-Elect’

By The Sun. Joe Biden slipped up yet again and accidentally referred to vice president-elect Kamala Harris as the future leader of the United States.

Biden made the remarks early Tuesday morning while delivering a speech regarding the Covid-19 crisis in Wilmington, Delaware, before asking the president to recommend Americans take the vaccine once it becomes available to them.

“I hope the president will clearly and unambiguously urge all Americans to take the vaccine once it’s available,” the real president-elect said.

“I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason,” Biden mistakenly said. (Read more from “Joe Biden Calls Kamala Harris ‘President-Elect'” HERE)
