Biden Campaign to Fact-Check Trump With New Twitter Account During Debate; Biden and Trump Prepare for a Debate That Could Turn Personal

By Fox News. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign launched a Twitter account for the purpose of fact-checking President Trump ahead of the first of three debates between the two contenders.

The Biden campaign launched the account, @Truth, in partnership with the Democratic National Committee. The account will share updates in real time based on topics discussed during the debates.

“The American people deserve to remember what it’s like to have a president who tells the truth again,” Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said in a statement.

In its first tweet, the account shared a clip of Biden responding to a question from a reporter who asked what he could have to accomplish in order to have a successful debate performance. In response, Biden said he would “just tell the truth.” (Read more from “Biden Campaign to Fact-Check Trump With New Twitter Account During Debate” HERE)

Biden and Trump Prepare for a Debate That Could Turn Personal

By CNN. Inside the map room of the White House, a small group of advisers sat around a table and peppered the President with accusations and criticisms about everything from lying to incompetence. The team, led by former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, was getting Donald Trump prepared for the onslaught they expect from Joe Biden on the debate stage Tuesday night.

About 100 miles north in Wilmington, Delaware, a similar scene played out with Biden and his team, led by longtime Biden aide and debate expert Ron Klain. Biden’s prep has been more traditional — putting on mock debates with veteran Democratic attorney Bob Bauer playing the role of Trump in at least one session.

For two very different men with polar opposite temperaments and divergent governing philosophies, their debate objectives have some fundamental things in common: Put their opponent on the defense and make it as much a referendum on the other as possible. In conversations with multiple sources familiar with both candidates’ prep, each is practicing ways to get under the other’s skin, while also avoiding blowing up and going off script if the debate turns personal.

Advisers to both candidates are expecting one of the night’s biggest flash points to be about each man’s children. (Read more from “Biden and Trump Prepare for a Debate That Could Turn Personal” HERE)

New York Times Debunks Several Conspiracy Theories With Trump’s Tax Returns

By Breitbart. The New York Times‘ exposé on Donald Trump’s tax returns suggests that the president has suffered financial losses for many years, resulting in many years when he paid little or no federal income tax. . .

Russia. The Times found no evidence of any links to Russia that were previously unreported. The tax returns, it says, do not “reveal any previously unreported connections to Russia.” All they show is that the 201 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow was “was the most profitable Miss Universe during Mr. Trump’s time as co-owner, and that it generated a personal payday of $2.3 million.” That’s all there is to the vast Russian business interests Democrats hinted (and hoped) the returns would show.

Michael Cohen. Prosecutors in New York have subpoenaed the tax returns for a criminal investigation — most likely, having to do with payments via Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen (now a convicted felon), to alleged lovers (including Stormy Daniels). The Times noted: “The materials obtained by The Times did not include any itemized payments to Mr. Cohen.” It added: “The amount, however, could have been improperly included in legal fees written off as a business expense.” That’s it.

The Audit. Democrats and journalists have mocked Trump’s long-standing claim that he could not release his tax returns because he faced an Internal Revenue Service audit. The Times confirmed the audit: “Also hanging over him is a decade-long audit battle with the Internal Revenue Service over the legitimacy of a $72.9 million tax refund that he claimed, and received, after declaring huge losses. An adverse ruling could cost him more than $100 million.” It is real, just as Trump has claimed. (Read more from “New York Times Debunks Several Conspiracy Theories With Trump’s Tax Returns” HERE)

Trump Lashes Out at New York Times Report Alleging Years of Tax Avoidance

By NBC News. The New York Times obtained two decades of President Donald Trump’s tax information, reporting Sunday that the president paid only $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency and again during his first year in office. . .

Trump said Sunday that the story was “totally fake news” and “made up,” although he acknowledged that he “didn’t know anything about the story” ahead of its publication, which came moments before his news conference began.

Asked about the report that he paid just $750 in federal income tax in 2016 and again in 2017, Trump said he has “paid a lot of money in state” taxes, although he was not specific about how much. (Read more from “Trump Lashes Out at New York Times Report Alleging Years of Tax Avoidance” HERE)

President Trump Announces Release of 100 Million Rapid Coronavirus Tests

President Donald Trump announced Monday the federal government will ship 100 million rapid coronavirus tests to states by the end of the year.

“The support my administration is providing would allow every state to on a very regular basis test every teacher who needs it,” Trump said.

The White House said last month that it was buying 150 million of the tests, made by Abbott Laboratories. Each costs $5 and can be analyzed in 15 minutes without the use of laboratory equipment.

The first shipments, totaling 6.5 million tests, will be sent this week, and the amount each state receives will be based on population data. Although governors will be in charge of deciding how to use the rapid tests they receive, Trump and HHS testing czar Brett Giroir encouraged state leaders to deploy the tests to help reopen schools. Republicans Call for Criminal Investigation Into Trump Tax Return Leak

Rep. Kevin Brady, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee, is calling for a criminal investigation into the leak of President Trump’s tax returns.

“While many critics question the article’s accuracy, equally troubling is the prospect that a felony crime was committed by releasing the private tax return information of an individual — in this case the President’s,” the Texas Republican said in a statement released on Monday night. “To ensure every American is protected against the illegal release of their tax returns for political reasons, I am calling for an investigation of the source and to prosecute if the law was broken.”

Rep. Mike Kelly, another GOP member of the committee, echoed Brady’s call, writing on Twitter, “The unethical, perhaps illegal, leaking of any American’s tax returns is a stunning breach of public trust. That doesn’t change because it happened to @realDonaldTrump. The joint political hit piece between the New York Times and Democrats just weeks before an election shows no wrong doing by @POTUS but leaves Americans wondering if their own private tax information can be weaponized against them for political gain. There must be an investigation into who turned over confidential tax records to the press to determine if the law was broken.”

According to reporting from the New York Times, Trump paid only $750 in federal taxes in 2016 as well as in 2017, and the president has not paid federal income taxes for the past 10 of the last 15 years, “largely because he reported losing much more money than he made.” The report also said Trump has hundreds of millions of dollars in loans coming due in the next few years. President Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize Again

On Monday President Donald Trump was nominated for the third time this year for a 2021 Noble Peace Prize. The nomination came courtesy of Australian law professors praising the “Trump Doctrine” against endless wars.

While speaking with Sky News in Australia, law professor David Flint explained why he decided to nominate Trump.

“The Trump Doctrine is something extraordinary, as so many things that Donald Trump does. He is guided by two things, which seem to be absent from so many politicians. He has firstly common sense and he is only guided by a national interest, and therefore, in our circumstances, an interest in the Western alliance,” Flint said. “What he has done with the Trump Doctrine is that he has decided that he would no longer have America involved in endless wars, wars which achieve nothing, but the killing of thousands of young Americans and enormous debts imposed on America.”

During his interview with Sky News, Flint also spoke about the recent peace deal announced by Trump between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), making the latter the third Arab country to make peace with the Jewish nation. WATCH: Has Biden Lost His Mind? He Just Compared Trump to Nazi Propagandist

Democratic nominee Joe Biden said he is running for president in order to “restore the soul of America,” but he’s just another lying, slimy politician intent on demonizing his opponent, President Donald Trump. While Nazi comparisons are tragically common in politics, most presidential candidates have avoided comparing their opponents to Adolf Hitler or Nazi propagandist Paul Joseph Goebbels.

“He’s sort of like Goebbels, you say the lie long enough, keep repeating it, repeating it, repeating it, it becomes common knowledge,” Biden said in an interview on MSNBC.

The Democrat — who has teamed up with outright socialists Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) — tried to smear Trump for calling him out on his increasing support for big government policies in the direction of socialism. While Trump does engage in hyperbole, this is hardly comparable to the Nazi propaganda of Goebbels.

It is astounding that Biden thinks he can run a campaign on “restoring the soul of America” while comparing his opponent to the Nazis. (Read more from “WATCH: Has Biden Lost His Mind? He Just Compared Trump to Nazi Propagandist” HERE)

Donald Trump: ‘I’m Not Joking’ About Debate Drug Test for Joe Biden

President Donald Trump said Sunday that he was not joking about the need for a drug test ahead of the first presidential debate with former Vice President Joe Biden.

“No. I’m not joking,” he said when asked about the idea during a White House press conference. “I’m willing to take a drug test, I think he should too.”

The president said that he watched previous Democrat debates where Biden was clearly “out of it” but that he appeared much better during the final primary debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). . .

Trump questioned how Biden turned around his debate performances despite earlier disasters.

“People say he was on performance-enhancing drugs; a lot of people have said that, a lot of people have written that,” Trump said. (Read more from “Donald Trump: ‘I’m Not Joking’ About Debate Drug Test for Joe Biden” HERE)

Trump Accuses Bloomberg of ‘Bribing Ex-Prisoners to Go Out and Vote’ For Biden

President Trump said Michael Bloomberg might have broken Florida law in his attempt to get in the good favor of Joe Biden.

“Wow, nobody realized how far Mini Mike Bloomberg went in bribing ex-prisoners to go out and vote for Sleepy Joe. He is desperate to get back into the good graces of the people who not only badly beat him, but made him look like a total fool. Now he’s committed a serious crime!” Trump tweeted on Sunday.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced on Wednesday that she had opened an investigation into Bloomberg at the request of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, noting that Bloomberg might have broken the state’s election bribery laws by offering to pay the legal fines of individuals with felony convictions so that they can vote in the 2020 election. It is illegal in Florida to give money to anyone as “an incentive simply to vote.” (Read more from Trump Accuses Bloomberg of ‘Bribing Ex-Prisoners to Go Out and Vote’ For Biden” HERE)

Pompeo Decries Media Coverage of Trump Foreign Policy Achievements

The mainstream media rarely focus on the Trump administration’s foreign policy accomplishments, but the American people “will come to see that the world is safer and their lives are more secure as a result of the way President Trump has done it,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” Sunday night.

Pompeo made the comment after host Mark Levin asked whether he thought the media understood the significance of the administration’s foreign policy strategy and achievements.

“I couldn’t tell you if they understand it,” Pompeo said. “If they do, it’s willful deceit to the American people how they speak about this.

Pompeo went on, “I’ve watched the accomplishments we’ve achieved. I could tick off half a dozen here as we sit, right, the strike against Qasem Soleimani, the change to the Middle East, the economic power that we have used to influence our allies and friends to be partners with our friends and to deny resources to regimes like the one that sits in Iran….”

Pompeo also praised Trump for strengthening the NATO alliance — an achievement he said the press “refused to share that with the American people. (Read more from “Pompeo Decries Media Coverage of Trump Foreign Policy Achievements” HERE)

FBI Whistleblower on Mueller Team Details Real Reason Flynn Was Targeted

In a stunning and detailed interview conducted September 17 by U.S. attorney Jeff Jensen, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) case agent for the original investigation of former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and who later worked on Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel blew the whistle on myriad problems that plagued those investigations from the very beginning.

FBI Special Agent William Barnett told Department of Justice (DOJ) investigators that the handling of the probes troubled him so much that he threatened to quit working on it in one case, and threatened to go to the Inspector General in another. According to the summary of Barnett’s interview, he said there was never any basis for the bizarre “collusion” theory the agency and the special counsel relentlessly pursued, to the point that agents made jokes about how they could take any piece of information and claim it was evidence of collusion. He said the Special Counsel Office (SCO) pursued Flynn simply as a means to “get Trump” and viewed FBI investigators as a “speed bump” slowing down the work of the attorneys leading the inquisition.

The broader Trump investigation was “opaque,” the case theory was “supposition on supposition,” the Flynn probe in particular was “unclear and disorganized,” and its predicate was “not great,” Barnett told investigators. According to the interview notes, he felt there was “little detail concerning specific evidence of criminal events.”

When Barnett was first placed on the case in 2016, he said he assumed he’d have a better understanding of why the investigation into the Trump campaign was launched as he read through the evidence. But “after being involved in the investigation for six weeks, Barnett was still unsure of the basis of the investigation concerning Russia and the Trump Campaign working together, without a specific criminal allegation.” Much was made over the Republican National Convention platform amending a proposed change in support of “lethal assistance” to Ukraine to “appropriate assistance.” While some at the FBI attempted to claim this was a sign of collusion with Russia, he characterized the theory as “groping.” (Read more from “FBI Whistleblower on Mueller Team Details Real Reason Flynn Was Targeted” HERE)
