Trump Supporter Nick Bosa Voted Defensive Rookie of the Year; Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers Set for Super Bowl Showdown

By Breitbart. While President Trump rallies voters to his cause in the run up to the 2020 election, one of his supporters has already secured a crushing majority of votes in a more low-profile, albeit important election of his own.

49ers defensive end and noted Trump supporter Nick Bosa, secured an overwhelming number of votes and won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The former Buckeye received 43 of the 50 votes for the award, with the remaining 7 votes going to three different players.

Away from the field, Bosa has referred to President Trump as the “GOAT” on Twitter, he has also tweeted support of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, and called anthem-protester Colin Kaepernick “a Clown.”

After he was drafted #2 overall by the 49ers, Trump congratulated the former Buckeye to “stay true” to himself:

WATCH: Trump’s Compelling Super Bowl Ad Ignores Two Key Economic Realities

Super Bowl viewers hoping for a break from partisan bickering and politics are in for a disappointment. Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg bought a commercial for the widely-watched event and decided to use his chance to reach millions of Americans to push misinformation and fearmonger in favor of his anti-gun agenda. Meanwhile, President Trump tapped into his war chest to run an ad of his own, making the case for his reelection.

Trump spent $11 million on the commercial, which emphasizes his strong economic record. It highlights the record-low unemployment rate we’ve seen during this administration, as well as burgeoning wage growth and strong economic prospects for African Americans and Hispanics. The president makes the case that voters should back him because “the best is yet to come.”

As my Washington Examiner colleague Tiana Lowe noted, it’s a strong ad with the right focus. Trump is wise politically to focus on the economy, rather than repeat his 2018 midterm mistake and make 2020 about anti-immigration sentiment. And the president absolutely does deserve credit for the successful economic results we’ve seen in part due to his tax cuts, deregulatory agenda, and pro-business policies. But, as most political ads do, Trump’s commercial leaves out a few key economic realities that voters ought to be aware of.

For one, Trump has completely, utterly failed to reign in the national debt and the annual budget deficit.

On the campaign trail in 2016, he promised to eliminate the debt entirely within eight years. (A very, very unrealistic promise.) Instead, we’re back up to $1 trillion annual deficits, bloated budget deals, and woeful future fiscal projects from the Congressional Budget Office. This isn’t entirely Trump’s fault, as both parties’ leaderships in Congress deserve serious demerits for such reckless spending as well, yet, it’s a blight on his tenure nonetheless, especially in light of the unrealistic promises he made. New Poll Finds Trump at Record Highs Despite Impeachment Trial

If House Democrats thought that by impeaching President Donald Trump would politically wound him heading into 2020, a new poll shows they were way off.

According to a new national NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey released Saturday as the Senate begins concluding the impeachment trial of the president, the number of voters who “strongly approve” of the nation’s 45th commander in chief has hit a “new high.” . . .

As USA Today noted, 46 percent of registered voters told researchers they approved of the job Trump was doing in office, while a little more than half (51 percent) disapproved. The five-point difference between the two is an improvement for Trump from the 10-point (44-54) gap the same pollsters found in December.

“We’ve been through an impeachment inquiry in the House, a trial in the Senate, and America’s attitudes about Donald Trump have hardly budged,” Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt, who conducted the survey with GOP strategist Bill McInturff, said.

In fact, the impeachment process may have even boosted Trump’s numbers. USA Today reported that 36 percent of respondents indicated they “strongly” approved of his performance, the highest number since Trump took office. Additionally, one-third (33 precent) said they had “very positive” feelings about Trump, another high for the president. Poll Shows Double-Digit Increase in Race Relations Since Trump Took Office

New Gallup polling shows a double-digit increase (14%) in the state of race relations since President Donald Trump took office — a far cry from what the mainstream media airwaves echo to viewers every day.

“Gallup’s survey demonstrates numerous categories in which the President has improved the lives of Americans since relieving Barack Obama of his duties in January of 2017,” The Political Insider reported Tuesday on the polling.

“The polling indicates double-digit improvements in how Americans view the nation’s economy, security from terrorism, military strength and … the state of race relations,” the report added.

According to Gallup, “the position of blacks and other racial minorities, the distribution of income and wealth, and the opportunity for a person to get ahead through hard work” have all increased under President Trump.

The Political Insider summed up: “The position of blacks and other racial minorities in the nation rose 9 percent since Obama’s last day in office, while the state of race relations in America shot up 14 percent.” (Read more from “Poll Shows Double-Digit Increase in Race Relations Since Trump Took Office” HERE)

Senate Officially Votes to Stop Democrats’ Attempts to Prolong Trial

By Daily Wire. The U.S. Senate officially voted late on Friday to put an end to Senate Democrats’ attempts to prolong President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial by calling on new witnesses to testify and new documents to be brought into the trial.

The move to prolong the trial was shot down in a 51 to 49 vote, which saw establishment Republican Senators Mitt Romney (UT) and Susan Collins (ME) defect from the party and join the Democrats. . .

Democrats had suffered another defeat late on Thursday night when Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) announced that he was also not in favor of calling for additional witnesses and documents.

“I worked with other senators to make sure that we have the right to ask for more documents and witnesses, but there is no need for more evidence to prove something that has already been proven and that does not meet the U.S. Constitution’s high bar for an impeachable offense,” Alexander said, later adding, “But the Constitution does not give the Senate the power to remove the president from office and ban him from this year’s ballot simply for actions that are inappropriate. The question then is not whether the president did it, but whether the United States Senate or the American people should decide what to do about what he did.” (Read more from “Senate Officially Votes to Stop Democrats’ Attempts to Prolong Trial” HERE)

Andrew McCarthy: In Trump Impeachment Trial, Senate Right to Block New Witness Testimony

By Fox News. The Senate was right to vote Friday against hearing new witness testimony at President Trump’s impeachment trial. The Democrats’ demand for new witnesses at the trial was a red herring – a talking point that had some surface appeal but, upon scrutiny, was nonsense.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and the other impeachment managers claim that there have been no witnesses in the trial. They said before the Senate voted 51-49 Friday to block more witnesses that if Republicans did note vote to approve subpoenas for former National Security Adviser John Bolton, among other top current and former administration officials, that the trial will be a “sham” – an exercise in “cover-up.” You can’t have a real trial, was their refrain, unless witnesses are called.

It is nonsense. There have been plenty of witnesses. Schiff’s problem is that the additional witnesses he wanted to call would not change what has already been proved in any meaningful way.

Obviously, what’s happening in the Senate is not a trial in any familiar sense. We are used to judicial trials. Impeachment presents something completely different, a Senate trial. The Senate is a political body, not a law court. (Read more from “Andrew Mccarthy: In Trump Impeachment Trial, Senate Right to Block New Witness Testimony” HERE)

Top Al Qaeda Leader Who Taunted Trump Has Been Reportedly Killed in U.S. Airstrike (VIDEO)

A top al-Qaeda terror leader who previously mocked President Donald Trump has been killed in a US airstrike in Yemen according to top Pentagon sources.

Qassim al-Rimi ridiculed the president in 2017 after a failed US military strike in Yemen intended to target him.

“The fool of the White House got slapped at the beginning of his road in your lands,” al-Rimi said on a recording after the strike.

The New York Times reported that several American officials were confident that al-Rimi was killed in the January airstrike.

Trump Admin Adds New Travel Restrictions For Six Countries

As The Daily Wire previewed weeks ago and as has also been rumored for much of this current week, the Trump administration on Friday imposed travel restrictions on six new countries.

“President Donald Trump is expected to reveal an expansion of his controversial travel ban on Friday, the same day he could be acquitted in his impeachment trial and just days ahead of the president’s annual State of the Union address,” Politico reported yesterday. “The expected announcement — confirmed by two people familiar with the matter — had initially been planned for this past Monday to coincide with the three-year anniversary of the original order, which restricted travel from several majority-Muslim nations.”

On Friday afternoon, The Wall Street Journal confirmed the news. The six new countries to have various types of travel restrictions imposed upon them are Nigeria, Eritrea, Myanmar, Kyrgyzstan, Sudan, and Tanzania.

“Citizens from Nigeria, Eritrea, Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan won’t be allowed to apply for visas to immigrate to the U.S. under the policy, which the Trump administration said was designed to tighten security for countries that don’t comply with the U.S. minimum security standards or cooperate to prevent illegal immigration,” the Journal reports. “Two other countries, Sudan and Tanzania, will be barred from participating in the diversity visa lottery, which randomly awards green cards to 50,000 immigrants from underrepresented countries annually. Many of the recipients are from African countries.”

Specifically, Nigeria, Eritrea, Myanmar and Kyrgyzstan will have the issuance suspended of all visas that might lead to permanent residency, according to Reuters. (Read more from “Trump Admin Adds New Travel Restrictions For Six Countries” HERE)

Trump Gets The Impeachment Payback He Wanted; At Least 3 Democrat Senators Considering Voting to Acquit Trump

By Politico. President Donald Trump’s impeachment defense team knew they were likely to win — and they proceeded accordingly.

With a virtually negligible threat of conviction and removal by a Republican-controlled Senate, Trump’s legal team spent just a sliver of their 11-hour arguments rebutting the House’s charge that Trump abused his power by pressuring Ukraine to investigate his political rivals.

Instead, they tailored a defense that often mirrored the president’s pre-trial demands: to exact pain and revenge against his political enemies, all on the Senate floor.

What ensued was a Who’s Who of the president’s frequent Twitter targets: Obama, Comey, Mueller, Strzok, Page, Ohr — names that had little to no connection to the impeachment charges, but occupy a lot of space on Trump’s list of political enemies and whom Trump perceives as at least a part of the reason he will bear the stain of impeachment. At Least 3 Democrat Senators Considering Voting to Acquit Trump

By Daily Wire. At least three Democrat Senators are reportedly considering acquitting President Donald Trump of the charges leveled against him in the Democrats’ partisan articles of impeachment.

“Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona and Doug Jones of Alabama are undecided on whether to vote to remove the president from office and agonizing over where to land,” Politico reported. “It’s a decision that could have major ramifications for each senator’s legacy and political prospects — as well shape the broader political dynamic surrounding impeachment heading into the 2020 election.”

The move would give the president a bipartisan acquittal to the Democrats’ partisan charges, something that Trump is eagerly seeking.

“All three senators remain undecided after hearing arguments from the impeachment managers and Trump’s defense team. But they could end up with a creative solution,” Politico added. “One or more senators may end up splitting their votes, borrowing a move from Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine), who voted for the abuse of power charge but against the one on obstruction of Congress.”

There appeared to be some confusion on Tuesday over a quote that Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) gave, which the LA Times reported as meaning that she was open to acquitting the president. (Read more from “At Least 3 Democrat Senators Considering Voting to Acquit Trump” HERE)

GOP develops aggressive ‘Plan B’ in impeachment trial, as several Dems appear to support acquittal: source

By Gregg Re. [C]ongressional Republicans are planning an aggressive “Plan B” strategy in the event some Republicans break off and demand additional witnesses in the president’s impeachment trial, Fox News has learned.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell privately said early Tuesday that he wasn’t sure there were enough Republican votes to block more witnesses, given that some moderates in the GOP’s 53-47 Senate majority were wavering. Any witness resolution would likely require four Republican defections in the Senate, because in the event of a 50-50 tie, Chief Justice John Roberts is highly likely to abstain rather than assert his debatable power to cast a tiebreaking vote.

Late Tuesday night, a Senate leadership source told Fox News that Republicans were specifically assessing the viability of two alternative options.

One plan is to amend any resolution calling for a particular witness to also include a package of witnesses that assuredly wouldn’t win enough support in the Senate. For example, if the Democrats seek to call former National Security Advisor John Bolton, Republicans might seek to question Hunter Biden over his lucrative board position in Ukraine, and Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., over his inconsistent statements concerning his panel’s contacts with the whistleblower at the center of the impeachment probe. Donald Trump Announces ‘New Dawn’ Middle East Peace Deal

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump announced his plan for peace in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine on Tuesday at a White House event with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Together we can bring about a new dawn in the Middle East,” Trump said as the room applauded.

The president acknowledged that the field effort to make peace between Israelis and Palestinians was a historically difficult process but that he was determined to make it happen.

“All prior administrations from President Lyndon Johnson have tried and bitterly failed, but I was not elected to do small things or shy away from big problems,” he said.

Supporters of the president and Israel filled the East Room of the White House for the event, enthusiastically applauding throughout his speech. (Read more from “Donald Trump Announces ‘New Dawn’ Middle East Peace Deal” HERE)

Trump Leaps Into Middle East Fray With Peace Plan That Palestinians Denounce

By Reuters. U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday proposed creating a Palestinian state as part of a Middle East peace plan, drawing Palestinian condemnation for imposing strict conditions and agreeing to let Israel maintain control of long-contested West Bank settlements.

Trump announced his plan for Israeli-Palestinian peace at a White House event with embattled Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu standing at his side. It includes what Trump called a four-year freeze by Israel on new settlement activity.

Although Trump’s stated aim was to end decades of conflict, the plan he advanced favored Israel, underscored by the absence of Palestinians from Trump’s announcement.

It seemed unlikely to immediately advance Israeli-Palestinian talks that broke down in 2014, but the plan was called “an important starting point for a return to negotiations” by the United Arab Emirates. Saudi Arabia and Egypt also offered encouraging statements. (Read more from “Trump Leaps Into Middle East Fray With Peace Plan That Palestinians Denounce” HERE)

Top British Spy Report: ‘Strong Possibility’ That Anti-Trump Dossier Was Completely Fabricated

A British author who specializes in espionage raised serious doubts about former MI6 officer Christopher Steele’s salacious dossier, which was included in the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Rupert Allason, a former member of Parliament whose pen name is Nigel West, conducted a forensic analysis of Steele’s work, which made stunning allegations about coordination between Trump’s camp and Russia. He came away “stunned” by what he viewed to be a poor job by a former intelligence officer whom he once considered to be a friend.

“There is … a strong possibility that all Steele’s material has been fabricated,” Allason wrote in a report obtained by the British newspaper Sunday Times. . .

Allason’s report comes in the wake of an assessment by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who condemned Steele, 55, and the FBI for its reliance on his dossier to obtain warrants for wiretapping onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Additionally, special counsel Robert Mueller concluded an investigation last year that found no criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. . .

Horowitz’s report, which was released in December and faulted the Justice Department and the FBI for 17 “significant errors and omissions” in its submissions to the FISA court, showed that FBI interviews with Steele’s primary Moscow-based source, beginning in January 2017, “raised significant questions about the reliability of the Steele election reporting.” This source claimed that much of what he told Steele was “hearsay” or, in the case of the “pee tape,” just “rumor and speculation” from a sub-source, reported by some to likely be Belarus-born businessman Sergei Millian. Millian, however, has denied being a source for the dossier. (Read more from “Top British Spy Report: ‘Strong Possibility’ That Anti-Trump Dossier Was Completely Fabricated” HERE)
