WATCH: Brawl Breaks Out in Rose Garden

By Breitbart. A brawl broke out in the Rose Garden Thursday after President Trump’s former deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka and other conservative media personalities got into a heated argument with Playboy reporter Brian Karem following the president’s press conference on the controversial census citizenship question.

Notable conservative media personalities who attended the White House Social Media Summit Thursday – including James O’Keefe, Mark Dice, and Joy Villa – were invited to the Rose Garden for the announcement. Karem, seemingly incensed by their presence, sparked a fight with Gorka after openly remarking that the group of conservatives were “eager for demonic possession,” triggering laughs from nearby counterparts. . .

“Hey– come on over here and talk to me brother. We can go outside and have a long conversation,” Karem said.

“You’re threatening me now in the White House – in the Rose Garden, threatening me in the Rose Garden,” Gorka said as he approached Karem.

“You’re a punk. You’re not a journalist. You’re a punk!” Gorka said to Karem’s face.

Trump social media summit attendees clash with reporters in Rose Garden

By The Hill. A handful of conservative personalities who attended President Trump’s social media summit on Thursday clashed with reporters in the Rose Garden after they were invited to sit in on an announcement about the census.

The scene played out as Trump stood between Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and a number of far-right social media personalities and attendees criticized for having promoted conspiracy theories sat in the audience. The mood quickly turned confrontational after the president returned inside.

Sebastian Gorka, a former White House adviser, stormed over to engage with Playboy correspondent Brian Karem at the conclusion of Trump’s remarks, where the president announced he would drop his bid to add a citizenship question to the census. . .

During Thursday’s social media summit, Trump complained of “terrible bias” and censorship in front of a crowd of roughly 200 conservative personalities.

The president spent much of the speech boasting about his own prolific social media following, while simultaneously alleging that Twitter has suppressed his following. Social media companies have insisted that political views do not play a role in the enforcement of their policies. House Bucks Trump’s Transgender Troop Policy in Defense Spending Vote

A 242-187 majority of the House of Representatives voted Thurdsay to override the Trump adminsitration’s policy on transgender troops serving in the U.S. military.

The vote itself was on an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act — Congress’ big, annual military authorization bill.

A report on the bill and its amendments from the House Armed Services Committee explains that the amendment “requires that qualifications for eligibility to serve in an armed force account only for the ability of an individual to meet gender-neutral occupational standards and not include any criteria relating to the race, color, national origin, religion, or sex (including gender identity or sexual orientation) of an individual.”

The measure initially passed by a voice vote the day before, but Democrats requested a roll call, wanting to go on record against the president’s transgender policy.

“Over the last three years, 14,000 transgender service members have served openly and successfully,” amendment sponsor Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Calif., said on the House floor Wednesday. “We know what transgender service members bring to the fight; let them bring it.”

Ten Republicans joined with Democrats in support of the amendment.

President Trump announced an end to transgender military service two years ago in June 2017, tweeting, “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”

After studying the issue, the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security determined that “the accession or retention of individuals with a history of diagnosis of gender dysphoria – those who may require substantial medical treatment, including through medical drugs or surgery – presents considerable risk to military effectiveness and lethality.”

The Supreme Court ruled in January that the policy could go into effect as lawsuits work their way through lower courts on the issue. The policy went into effect earlier this year, though some state National Guards are openly defying the new policy.

The Senate passed its version of the NDAA last month with no such transgender language. The differences between the bills will have to be resolved before it can go to the president’s desk. Here’s How Vets Feel About President Trump’s Handling of the Military

A majority of veterans approve of the way President Trump is handling his duties as commander in chief of the military, according to a new Pew Research Center poll published Wednesday.

The poll found that a majority – 57% – of veterans approve of Trump’s handling of the military, with about half at 48% saying his policies have made the military stronger. Forty-one percent of veterans said they disapproved and only 23% said they have made the military weaker. . .

A majority of veterans — 64% — also said Trump respects veterans a “great deal” or a “fair amount,” versus the 38% who said Trump does not respect veterans much or at all. Older veterans were more likely than younger veterans to say Trump respects veterans a “great deal” — at 54% and 40%.

A majority of veterans — 58% — approve of Trump sending troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to deal with migrants coming to the U.S. Fifty-three percent approved of his withdrawing the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal, and 52% approved of his transgender policy. . .

An overwhelming 92% of veterans who are Republicans or lean Republican said they approved of how Trump is handling the military, as well as 6% of veterans who are Democrats or lean Democrat. Ninety-three percent of veterans who are Democrats or lean Democrat disapprove. (Read more from “Here’s How Vets Feel About President Trump’s Handling of the Military” HERE)

British Ambassador to U.S. Resigns After Trump’s Wrath

The British ambassador to the United States resigned Wednesday after leaked memos showed he called the Trump administration “inept.”

“Since the leak of official documents from this Embassy there has been a great deal of speculation surrounding my position and the duration of my remaining term as ambassador,” Kim Darroch said in a letter released by the Foreign Office. “I want to put an end to that speculation. The current situation is making it impossible for me to carry out my role as I would like.”

He continued: “Although my posting is not due to end until the end of this year, I believe in the current circumstances the responsible course is to allow the appointment of a new ambassador.” . .

“I have been very critical about the way the U.K. and Prime Minister Theresa May handled Brexit. What a mess she and her representatives have created. I told her how it should be done, but she decided to go another way. I do not know the Ambassador, but he is not liked or well thought of within the U.S. We will no longer deal with him,” he tweeted. “The good news for the wonderful United Kingdom is that they will soon have a new Prime Minister. While I thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent State Visit last month, it was the Queen who I was most impressed with!”

Journalist: Establishment Media Only Covers Epstein to Attack Trump

Author, journalist, and filmmaker Mike Cernovich told Breitbart News Daily on Tuesday that the establishment media only has an interest in the Jeffrey Epstein court battles in order to attack President Donald Trump.

Cernovich spoke with Breitbart News Daily host Alexander Marlow in the wake of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest on sex trafficking charges. The Gorilla Mindset author fought to unseal court documents relating to a civil lawsuit in 2017 eventually led to Epstein’s arrest.

Despite the widespread interest in Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking crimes and who might be connected to them, the establishment media has spent more time attempting to link President Donald Trump to Epstein, without evidence, than to the actual sex trafficking case.

Cernovich contended that the media only has interest in the Epstein case as a means to attack Trump through his relationship with Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta. Acosta, as a then-Miami prosecutor in 2007, struck a deal with Epstein in which the billionaire would plead guilty to prostitution charges in exchange for dropping all other charges. . .

He said that the media has “Trump Derangement Syndrome [TDS],” contending that “The only thing they care about is Trump” despite “verified relationships” between Epstein, Prince Andrew of England, and former President Bill Clinton. Corporate Media Push Trump-Jeffrey Epstein Conspiracy Theories Without Evidence

The establishment media is attempting to link President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein without any evidence connecting him to the underage sex trafficking case against the billionaire hedge fund manager.

Immediately following a Daily Beast report revealing Epstein’s Saturday day arrest, a handful of news figures and outlets posted social media posts and stories painting a picture that the wealthy investor’s arrest was bad news for President Trump — with one editor even going as far to suggest he could be directly implicated in the case. . .

O’Brien’s post appears to have been the basis of a Business Insider story titled “Jeffrey Epstein: Trump once praised billionaire charged with sex trafficking minors for liking women ‘on the younger side.’” The article includes a 2000 picture featuring President Trump, first lady Melania Trump, with Epstein and his then-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. . .

Yahoo News published a similar article — “Sex-trafficking charges against Epstein could rock Trump’s cabinet” — rehashing the same Trump quote about Epstein while throwing together comments from far-left lawmakers such as Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), who has previously been humiliated for pushing debunked conspiracy theories about the president. Despite the hyperbolic headline, author Christopher Wilson buries a claim contradicting his premise eight paragraphs in — a quote from a lawyer representing a trio of Epstein accusers who explained that President Trump actually assisted authorities in building a civil lawsuit against the highly-connected investor.

“The only thing that I can say about President Trump is that he is the only person who, in 2009 when I served a lot of subpoenas on a lot of people, or at least gave notice to some pretty connected people, that I want to talk to them, is the only person who picked up the phone and said, let’s just talk,” Bradley Edwards told New York magazine. “I’ll give you as much time as you want. I’ll tell you what you need to know, and was very helpful, in the information that he gave, and gave no indication whatsoever that he was involved in anything untoward whatsoever, but had good information. That checked out and that helped us and we didn’t have to take a deposition of him in 2009.” Edwards has also said President Trump barred Epstein from Mar-a-Lago “because Epstein sexually assaulted an underage girl at the club,” court documents say. Look Out, Democrats: Trump Surges to All-Time High in New Poll

President Trump’s job approval rating has jumped to 47 percent in a new poll from the Washington Post and ABC News, his highest-ever mark in the series. He is only three points underwater (47/50) among registered voters, according to the numbers. As usual, there are red flags for Team Trump peppered throughout the data — but some of the top lines suggest that if the US economy remains in strong shape one year from now, the incumbent will be formidable, in spite of his perennially mediocre-to-poor public approval levels. In this snapshot, Trump’s standing is essentially the same as Barack Obama’s at this point in the 2012 election cycle:

President Trump’s approval rating has hit the highest point in his presidency, according to a new poll by the Washington Post and ABC News. The poll, which was released on Sunday, found that 47 percent of registered voters approve of Trump’s work inside the White House – a five point jump since April. Fifty percent of registered voters, however, still disapprove of Trump’s job in office. In comparison, Barack Obama’s approval rating during the same time in his first term was 46 percent…Despite [more than] six out of 10 Americans saying that Trump has acted in ways that are unpresidential, one-fifth of those voters still approve of the job the president is doing.

In addition to the survey showing Trump’s overall approval rating on the rise, a majority of registered voters also give a thumbs-up on his handling of the economy. On that crucial front (in case to you missed it during the long holiday weekend), job growth beat expectations in June, relieving concerns about May’s underwhelming unemployment report. And then there’s the historic milestone that passed largely unnoticed last week:

WATCH: Trump GOES OFF on UK Ambassador Who Attacked Him

President Trump pulled no punches in condemning Britain’s ambassador to the United States on Sunday, saying “we are not big fans of that man” and asserting that he has “not served the U.K. well,” after a leaked diplomatic cable showed the ambassador secretly slamming the White House.

Ambassador Kim Darroch described the Trump administration as “diplomatically clumsy and inept” and said he doubted it would become “substantially more normal,” according to the cable. . .

“We’ve had our little ins and outs with a couple of countries, and I would say that the U.K. — their ambassador has not served the U.K. well, I can tell you that,” Trump told reporters. “We are not big fans of that man, and he has not served the U.K. well. So, I can understand it and I can say things about him, but I won’t bother.”

Britain’s Foreign Office did not challenge the authenticity of the leaked documents, which covered the period of 2017 to the present, and came to Darroch’s defense. It called the leak “mischievous behavior” and said the public has expected diplomats to provide honest assessments of the politics in the countries where they’re posted.

The Foreign Office said the leaks would not harm the productive relationship between the British government and the Trump White House. A formal investigation of the leak may be set in motion in the coming days. (Read more from “Trump Goes off on UK Ambassador Who Attacked Him” HERE)

Inspector General Reaches ‘Breakthrough’ with Key Witness in FISA Abuse Probe

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz reportedly has reached a “breakthrough” in the government’s investigation into alleged FISA abuse against the Trump campaign as at least one witness has started to cooperate in the investigation.

Fox News reported that, according to sources, “at least one witness outside the Justice Department and FBI started cooperating” at “the 11th hour” in the investigation.

“While the investigative phase of the inspector general’s long-running probe is said to be complete, the sources said recent developments required some witnesses to be reinterviewed,” Fox News added. “And while Barr testified that he expected the report into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuse to be ready in May or last month, multiple sources said the timeline has slipped.”

Earlier this year, Attorney General William Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate “whether the government’s methods to collect intelligence relating to the Trump campaign were lawful and appropriate,” the AP reported.

The Hill reported in May that a senior State Department official knew that the anti-Trump dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele, which was paid for by the DNC and Clinton campaign, “was political and facing an Election Day deadline.” (Read more from “Inspector General Reaches ‘Breakthrough’ with Key Witness in FISA Abuse Probe” HERE)

President Trump Credited After North Korea Quietly Releases Detainee

An Australian student detained by North Korea has been quietly set free, and experts say President Donald Trump deserves credit for his release. . .

Alek Sigley, 29, of Perth went missing in North Korea last week ahead of President Trump’s historic visit to the communist country for a meeting with its dictator, Kim Jong Un. The New York Times reported Sigley was released Thursday morning and flew to Beijing, issuing a statement the next day thanking Australian and Swedish officials for orchestrating his freedom.

According to two experts, Sigley has other people to thank, namely President Trump. Former Australian MP Michael Johnson — who visited North Korea in 2006, 2007, and 2009 — says that if it weren’t for Trump’s visit to the rogue nation, Sigley could have met a similar fate to American college student Otto Warmbier, who died in 2017 shortly after being returned to the U.S. following detainment in North Korea.

Johnson told the Daily Mail, “Now we diplomatically and politically owe the Americans something and you can bet your bottom dollar, a favour will be asked and its delivery expected.”

He went on to argue that if President Trump hadn’t met with Kim, the best case scenario for Sigley would have been “another 12 months in physical detention and being roughed up.” (Read more from “President Trump Credited After North Korea Quietly Releases Detainee” HERE)
