Trump Announces Massive Japanese Trade Deal Potentially Worth ‘Billions’

United States President Donald J. Trump alongside Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced on Sunday the framework for a massive trade deal between the two countries. While nothing has been signed yet, the potential agreement could bolster both economies by billions.

“We’ve been working on a deal with Japan for a long time. And we’ve agreed in principle,” President Trump told the press at the G7 Summit.

“We successfully reached consensus with regard to the core elements related to agricultural and industrial trade,” Abe told the media via a translator. “We still have some remaining work that has to be done at the working level.” . . .

“With regard to the potential purchase of American corn, in Japan, we are now experiencing insect pests on some agricultural products,” Abe added. “And there is a need for us to buy some of the agricultural products.”

Trump Tariffs Tank Asian Equities, Chinese Yuan. China Ready to Negotiate.

By Daily Wire. President Donald Trump’s latest trade war escalation against China appears to have had an immediate effect on Asian markets and the Chinese Yuan, sending both tumbling early on Monday morning.

“China’s yuan currency fell to 7.1487 to the dollar, its weakest level since early 2008 at the height of the global financial crisis,” AFP reported. “On equity markets, Hong Kong led losses, slumping more than three percent, with investors also spooked by fresh violent protests in the city that saw police use water cannon for the first time. Shanghai lost 1.3 percent and Tokyo ended the morning more than two percent off.”

Chinese Vice Premier Liu He indicated early on Monday that the communist nation was willing to negotiate with the U.S. to prevent the trade war from escalating. (Read more from “Trump Tariffs Tank Asian Equities, Chinese Yuan. China Ready to Negotiate.” HERE)

WATCH: CNN Host Allows Guest to Claim Trump Worst Than Hitler, Mao, Stalin

CNN’s Brian Stelter allowed psychiatrist Allen Frances to make wildly false claims about President Donald Trump on his Sunday show and offered zero pushback to any of Frances’ remarks which sparked intense backlash against the far-left network.

Frances’ false claims about the president came during a segment in which Stelter, who ironically hosts a show called “Reliable Sources,” brought on a second psychiatrist to bash the president.

“Well, I think ‘medicalizing’ politics has three very dire consequences,” Frances began. “The first is that it stigmatizes the mentally ill. I’ve known thousands of patients, almost all of them have been well-behaved, well-mannered, good people. Trump is none of these. Lumping the mentally ill with Trump is a terrible insult to the mentally ill and they have enough problems and stigma as it is.”

“The second issue is, calling Trump crazy hides the fact that we’re crazy for having elected him and even crazier for allowing his crazy policies to persist,” Frances continued. “Trump is as destructive of person in this century as Hitler, Stalin, Mao were in the last century. He may be responsible for many more million deaths than they were.”

Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong are the three most notorious mass murderers in world history with all three men directly being responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of innocent people.

Nancy Pelosi Just Delivered a Kill Shot to House Democrats’ Impeachment Hopes

. . .So, a majority of House Democrats backs impeaching Trump. What say, you Speaker Nancy Pelosi? She isn’t budging. She knows this move will animate the GOP base. This is the declaration of nuclear political war, and she knows her side could very well lose. In fact, she knows it will; the Republicans control the Senate and they’re not going to go along with this nonsense. The Trump-Russia collusion myth has been thoroughly dissected as trash. There is no appetite to impeach with voters. As our friends at Twitchy noted, even pollsters are signaling that support for impeaching Trump has dropped.

Trump Tightens the Noose on China; U.S. Firms Clash With President Over ‘Order’ to Abandon China

By Daily Wire. President Donald Trump announced retaliatory measures against China on Friday after the Chinese government imposed tariffs on the United States, stating that he is increasing tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars of Chinese goods by an additional 5%.

“For many years China (and many other countries) has been taking advantage of the United States on Trade, Intellectual Property Theft, and much more. Our Country has been losing HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year to China, with no end in sight,” Trump tweeted. “Sadly, past Administrations have allowed China to get so far ahead of Fair and Balanced Trade that it has become a great burden to the American Taxpayer. As President, I can no longer allow this to happen! In the spirit of achieving Fair Trade, we must Balance this very….” . . .

“Trump’s tweets about China earlier Friday helped to send major U.S. stock indexes spiraling more than 2% for the day,” CNBC reported. “The trade war intensified in the morning when China announced new tariffs on $75 billion in U.S. goods in retaliation to the U.S. duties on $300 billion in Chinese products.” (Read more from “Trump Tightens the Noose on China” HERE)

Trade War Explodes as Trump Clashes With Us Firms Over ‘Order’ to Abandon China, Block Fentanyl Shipments

By Fox News. President Trump’s trade war with China boiled over Friday as Beijing slapped retaliatory tariffs on America and the president declared he’s ordering U.S. companies to prepare to leave the country and relocate back home — prompting pushback from corporate America. . .

But as Trump rejects such warnings while keeping his foot on the gas in the clash with China, American businesses responded to his latest guidance by urging continued trade talks.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce issued a statement saying it wants to see continued “constructive engagement” with China.

“The U.S. business community has for many years called out the lack of progress in addressing China’s unfair trade practices. … Despite our concerns, the 40-year-old trade relationship between our two countries has been for the most part productive, constructive, and mutually beneficial,” said Myron Brilliant, executive vice president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“While we share the President’s frustration, we believe that continued, constructive engagement is the right way forward. Time is of the essence. We do not want to see a further deterioration of US-China relations. We urge the administration and the government of China to return to the negotiating table.” (Read more from “Trade War Explodes as Trump Clashes With Us Firms Over ‘Order’ to Abandon China, Block Fentanyl Shipments” HERE)

WATCH: Did This Pageant Queen Get Her Crown Stripped for Supporting Trump?

Earlier this week, Ms. America Pageant contestant Katie Williams, a combat veteran and member of the Army National Guard, claimed that her Ms. Nevada State title was stripped from her because of her conservative views, which included public support for President Donald Trump.

Williams posted an eight-minute video to Facebook on Monday, which quickly went viral, claiming she separated her personal and pageant-related social media content as directed, and said other contestants posted about left-leaning activism without repercussion.

However, pageant CEO Susan Jeske, who is apparently a supporter of the president, too, said Williams was stripped of her title for not following the “no politics” rule, to which she agreed. . .

In a facebook post addressing the apparent misinformation, Jeske bluntly claimed, “Katie Williams is distorting the facts.”

“ALL the pageant asked of Ms. Williams, in writing, is to keep separate social media accounts. (ie: Facebook) One is for politics where she can voice her own opinion as Katie Williams and the other is a new Facebook page for the pageant representing Ms. Nevada State 2019. None of this had to do with her personal political views,” she wrote.

“The Ms. America Pageant is a No Politics pageant. It is in our Rules & Regulations as posted on the pageant website and therefore available to read before applying to the pageant,” she continued, noting, “It is also included in our contracts and requires handwritten initials and signatures acknowledging that you have read and understood the pageants rules.”

Fourth Impeachment Attempt: Rep. Claims Trump Has ‘Unleashed Bigotry’

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) will reportedly try for the fourth time to impeach President Donald Trump when the House returns from recess in September, according to a Wednesday NPR report.

Green has said Trump should be impeached for his “bigotry” and on Wednesday Green tweeted that Trump should be impeached after the El Paso shooting because he has “unleashed bigotry” that is “causing death and destruction within our society.”

“The President has unleashed bigotry. It is our duty to not only restrain and contain but also eliminate it. The genesis of doing this must be the impeachment of the person who unleashed the bigotry that is causing death and destruction within our society,” Green said. . .

In July, Green’s third attempt at impeachment failed when a motion to table his impeachment resolution passed 332 to 95.

Since then, more than 30 Democrats have supported an impeachment inquiry. This week, Assistant House Speaker Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM) backed an impeachment inquiry, becoming the highest ranking House Democrat to do so. At least 131 Democrats now support an impeachment inquiry and pressure will likely mount on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to impeach Trump in September. Tea Party Republican Mulling Primary Challenge Against President Trump; 2020 Candidates Starting to Drop; The Thrill Is Gone? Dems Seem Bored with Their Presidential Candidates

By The Blaze. Tea Party Republican and former Illinois congressman Joe Walsh is considering a primary challenge against President Donald Trump, and the now-talk radio host says if he does announce a run, “it’s going to be before Labor Day.” . . .

The New York Times reported Wednesday that Walsh “is expected to announce he is running for president as early as this weekend.” He told The Times, “If I do it, it’s going to be before Labor Day.”

Walsh went from passionately supporting President Trump’s candidacy in 2016 to regularly — and adamantly — speaking out against the president and calling him “unfit” for the office. The former congressman from Illinois told WTTW-TV this week that the turning point for him came when President Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2018. . .

(Interview begins at 4:45):

But Walsh has a tough row to hoe in presenting any significant threat to President Trump according to the current political landscape, where the president enjoys strong polling numbers from Republican voters and the “undivided” support of the Republican National Committee. . .

So far, one Republican is formally challenging President Trump in the primary. Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld threw his hat in the ring earlier this year, after running as the Libertarian Party’s vice presidential nominee in the 2016 election. Climate Alarmist Candidate Jay Inslee Drops Out of 2020 Presidential Race

By PJ Media. Gov. Jay Inslee (D-Wash.) announced he was dropping out of the 2020 presidential race on Wednesday. Having decided to make his presidential campaign all about climate change, Inslee found himself in a race packed to the gills with far-left climate activists just as radical as he is. He made many desperate gambits for attention, like calling President Trump a “white nationalist” (fact check: false) and hinting that he would prosecute fossil fuel executives for murder.

“This show has been so good to me, this has been sort of the bookends of my campaign,” Inslee told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. “It’s become clear that I’m not going to be carrying the ball. I’m not going to be president, so tonight I’m withdrawing from the race.”

Inslee insisted he would keep fighting climate change like he had been doing for 25 years, and he did not endorse a fellow candidate in the race. (Read more from “Climate Alarmist Candidate Jay Inslee Drops Out of 2020 Presidential Race” HERE)

The Thrill Is Gone? Dems Seem Bored with Their Presidential Candidates

By PJ Media. It’s a long way down from “Hope and Change” to “Succumb to the Inevitable,” but that’s the level of excitement generated by the 2020 Dem contenders. Sad!

Jonathan Easley writes for The Hill that “soft levels of support mark this year’s Democratic primary” and is the defining feature of this year’s frontrunners, “even after an intense focus on the race by the national media.” You can shine a light on Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren, but it seems you can’t make any of them shine. . . .

What does all this voter confusion mean for the candidates themselves? Kamala Harris, once thought to be the youngish/intersectional/progressive alternative to Biden, now faces a “crossroads” in a campaign that has “lost steam” in recent weeks. Bernie Sanders, whose support seems to have softened since his electrifying (well, if you’re into that kind of thing) 2016 effort? He’s now punching down, as it were, at Harris, and also at Elizabeth Warren. Edward Hardy writes for The Independent that “the increase in attacks clearly reveals that Sanders and his campaign team are concerned” with softening poll numbers. . .

If electability is the goal, then where is the money, the oil that fuels every campaign? The Daily Caller reported yesterday that DNC chair Tom Perez “will hold three fundraisers for American ex-patriots [sic] in Mexico, as Democrats struggle to keep pace with Republicans in fundraising.” Just make sure they’re all genuine Americans, Tom, because taking campaign funds from foreigners is wrong… and something Democrats would never, ever do. Wink-wink, nudge-nudge. . .

So who passes the electability test? I know it’s early, but if I had to put my money on just one candidate, it would have to be Donald Trump. (Read more from “The Thrill Is Gone? Dems Seem Bored with Their Presidential Candidates” HERE)

Trump Permanently Cancels Student Loan Debt for Disabled Veterans

President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order cancelling student loan debt for permanently disabled veterans.

According to President Trump, 25,000 disabled veterans will benefit from this move.

“The debt of these disabled veterans will be completely erased,” Trump said during a speech at the American Veterans National Convention in Louisville. “That’s hundreds of millions of dollars of student loans debt for our disabled veterans that will be completely erased.”

Out of the 50,000 permanently disabled veterans who qualified, only half of them have received the cancellation benefits because of a burdensome application process. Trump’s executive order is meant to “expedite” the process so the student loans are cancelled “with minimal burdens,” Fox News reported. . .

Since April 2018, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has granted student loan forgiveness to more than 22,000 veterans. The price tag for the loans totals more than $650 million. (Read more from “Trump Permanently Cancels Student Loan Debt for Disabled Veterans” HERE)

Trump Warns Europe: I’ll Air Drop ISIS Fighters from Europe Back into Your Countries

On Wednesday, President Trump sent a stern message to European leaders: if the countries from which captured ISIS fighters came don’t take them back, he’ll air drop them into Europe.

As The Daily Mail reported, Trump told reporters, “We’re holding thousands of ISIS fighters right now, and Europe has to take them. We beat them. We captured them. We’ve got thousands of them. And now, as usual, our allies say, ‘Oh. no. We don’t want them.’ Even though they came from France and Germany and other places. We’re going to tell them and we’ve already told them, ‘Take these prisoners that we’ve captured because the United States is not going to put them in Guantanamo for the next 50 years and pay for it.’ If Europe doesn’t take them, then I have no choice but to release them into the countries from which they came, which is Germany, and France, and other places.” He concluded, “It’s moving along, my deadline. They know.”

Hours later, the president repeated his assertion before a group of veterans in Kentucky, saying, “Certain countries in Europe, they’ve got to take them back. Because we don’t want to hold them. They’d rather have us hold them, and let us have them for 50 years. We don’t want them. They should take them. Do we agree? They should take them? They say to us, ‘Why don’t you hold them in Guantanamo Bay for 50 years and you just hold them and spend billions and billions of dollars holding them.’ And I’m saying, ‘No, you gotta take them.’” . . .

In early August, Trump stated, “We have thousands of ISIS fighters that we want Europe to take, and let’s see if they take them. If they don’t take them, we’ll probably have to release them to Europe.” NBC News reported at the time, “Experts estimate U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces hold some 800 European ISIS fighters in makeshift prisons, but the mostly Kurdish militia group is struggling to maintain them more than four months after ISIS lost the last significant part of its so-called caliphate.” (Read more from “Trump Warns Europe: I’ll Air Drop ISIS Fighters from Europe Back into Your Countries” HERE)
