Protesters Heckle Border Patrol Commissioner During Interview – Here’s What They Did

On Friday, Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) commissioner Kevin McAleenan became the latest Trump administration official to face public harassment over the family migrant crisis at the border.

According to the Washington Examiner, McAleenan encountered three protesters while attending an event at the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C.:

. . .

Standing in the audience, another protester appeared to complain that detaining children and parents was not a bipartisan goal. As he left the room, he quoted the poem on the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.”

The Bipartisan Policy Center described the event as a forum for discussing the agency and its challenges.

Trump Slams Cohen Claim That He Knew of Trump Tower Meeting With Kremlin Lawyer

President Trump on Friday slammed his longtime lawyer’s claim that he knew about a Trump Tower meeting during the campaign between his son Donald Trump Jr. and a Kremlin-associated lawyer who promised damaging information on Hillary Clinton.

“I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr,” the president wrote on Twitter early Friday. “Sounds to me like someone is trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam (Taxi cabs maybe?).”

Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, a target in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, accused the then-presidential candidate of having advance notice of the infamous June, 2016 meeting, CNN reported. He is reportedly willing to make that claim to Mueller’s investigators.

Trump’s mention of taxi cabs refers to a federal investigation into Cohen’s business affairs, including his owning New York City taxicab medallions.

Cohen has distanced himself from his former client of over a decade since coming under scrutiny for claims that he paid off women who had affairs with Trump to defuse negative stories about the candidate during the campaign. This Is the Newest Issue Democrats Are Threatening Trump With

House Democrats tweeted their own version of President Donald Trump’s warning to Iran, but instead, made the president and his environmental policies the focus of their rage.

Democrats on the House Committee on Natural Resources told Trump to “NEVER, EVER THREATEN OUR PUBLIC LANDS OR WATERS AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER POLITICAL CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE.

“WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR PILLAGING OF PUBLIC TREASURES,” the lawmakers tweeted on Monday. “BE CAUTIOUS.”

Democrats were likely angered by a Washington Post report claiming Trump administration officials “dismissed evidence that (national monuments) boosted tourism and spurred archaeological discoveries.”

Washington Post obtained documents showing Interior Department officials “rejected material that would justify keeping protections in place and sought out evidence that could buttress the case for unraveling” federal land restrictions. Trump Promises Investigation Into Twitter’s ‘Discriminatory and Illegal’ Conservative Ban

President Donald Trump said he will look into reports that Twitter has suppressed some conservative users on the platform with a practice referred to as “shadow banning,” according to The Hill.

. . .

A report from Vice News on Wednesday revealed that some well-known conservative politicians and other public figures were not automatically populating in search results when their names were typed in the search bar.

The full range of users impacted by the “shadow ban” is unknown, but Vice News found it affected accounts for Reps. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. . .

Twitter representatives said the issue is an unintentional result of their efforts to limit the exposure of users who engage in inappropriate, harmful or hateful behavior on the site.

“As we have said before, we do not ‘shadowban,’ Twitter said in a statement. “We are aware that some accounts are not automatically populating in our search box, and shipping a change to address this.” (Read more from “Trump Promises Investigation Into Twitter’s ‘Discriminatory and Illegal’ Conservative Ban” HERE)

Leaked: Here’s What Michael Cohen Will Reportedly Testify Against President Trump

By The Blaze. A report Thursday says that Michael Cohen, the former lawyer for President Donald Trump, will testify that the president knew about a meeting with Russians he has previously claimed he knew nothing about. . .

The controversial meeting took place in June 2016 at Trump Tower and was attended by Donald Trump Jr., publicist Rob Goldstone, Paul Manafort, Jared Kushner, and various Russians with connections to the Russian government.

Trump Jr. admitted that he was seeking damaging information about Hillary Clinton ahead of the election. In emails that he posted to his Twitter account, Trump Jr. had accepted the meeting organized by Goldstone, who said the information was coming from the Russian government. He also claimed Russia supported Trump’s presidential campaign. . .

According to sources that spoke to CNN, Cohen is willing to testify that he was present when Trump Jr. told then-candidate Trump about the meeting, and that he saw Trump approve of the meeting. . .

In a combative interview on CNN Thursday, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani called Michael Cohen a liar and an unreliable witness. He said that Cohen lacked all credibility, and that it could actually damage any case if his testimony was included. Michael Cohen Wants Gag Order Against Stormy Daniels’ Attorney for Alleged Smear Campaign

By ABC News. Michael Cohen’s efforts to muzzle one of his chief antagonists will be before a federal judge in Los Angeles on Friday, as President Donald Trump’s long-time fixer seeks a gag order against Michael Avenatti, the outspoken attorney for adult-film star, Stormy Daniels.

Cohen’s lawyers have likened Avenatti to a “small-town carnival magician,” and have accused him in court filings of a deliberate smear campaign against Cohen involving more than 170 television appearances and upwards of 500 tweets “during which he routinely accused Cohen of various criminal acts” and of “being a moron.”

“Mr. Avenatti’s actions are mainly driven by his seemingly unquenchable thirst for publicity,” wrote Cohen’s attorney Brent Blakely in a court filing earlier this month.

Avenatti has called the request for a gag order “a complete joke and baseless.” He has been unrelenting in his public criticism of Cohen, even as the former Trump Organization executive has publicly signaled a break with the president – and an apparent willingness to cooperate with federal prosecutors. Suspect Arrested After Trump’s Hollywood Star Is Destroyed

President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was destroyed early Wednesday morning, allegedly by a man wielding a pickax.

Los Angeles police told The Hollywood Reporter that a call came into the department around 3:33 a.m. about the star’s destruction.

Police added that a 25-year-old man had been taken into custody around 6:20 a.m. regarding the incident and had been booked for felony vandalism.

KNBC reporter Jonathan Gonzalez tweeted: “Multiple people — including police — tell me a man walked up with a guitar case and pulled out the pick axe.

“Then, it’s believed, he called police himself to report it, but left the scene before they got here.”

Wednesday’s incident marks the second time Trump’s star has been completely destroyed.

In October 2016, 53-year-old James Lambert Otis was taped taking a pickax and a sledgehammer to the iconic symbol.

Otis later pleaded no contest to felony vandalism and was fined $4,400 for the damage and was sentenced to three years probation and 20 days of community service, Politico reported.

“Trump’s star has experienced minor vandalism before, such as being spray painted and having a tiny wall built around it,” according to Politico.

The star is located near the highly trafficked Dolby Theater (site of the Academy Awards ceremony) on Hollywood Boulevard.

Deadline reported that is was dedicated in 2007 in recognition of Trump’s work on the successful NBC reality television program “The Apprentice.”

There are more than 2,500 stars on the Walk of Fame, which are maintained by the Hollywood Historic Trust and chosen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber responded to a petition to remove Trump’s star from the Walk in 2016 by saying it was staying.

“Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Leron Gubler, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president, told the Los Angeles Times. “Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.” (For more from the author of “Suspect Arrested After Trump’s Hollywood Star Is Destroyed” please click HERE)

Cohen’s Lawyer: There Are More Tapes. Trump’s Lawyer: Yeah, but There’s Just One Problem.

On Tuesday night, CNN aired an audio tape secretly recorded by Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen in September 2016 in which the two discuss potentially buying the rights to a former Playboy playmate’s account of her alleged affair with Trump.

Asked by George Stephanopolous on “Good Morning America” Wednesday if there are more tapes featuring Trump, Cohen’s lawyer Lanny Davis said suggestively that “there are certainly more tapes,” but declined to reveal if Trump is on them.

But Rudy Giuliani, one of Trump’s current lawyers, says that the existence of more Cohen tapes is irrelevant to his client because Trump’s not on any of them.

“There are no other tapes with the president,” the former New York City mayor told Fox News Tuesday night. “We have all of the tapes in our possession. We have transcripts of all them. We are comfortable with them. … There are no others.”

As for CNN’s “bombshell” audio, to which Trump’s team waived attorney-client privilege to release to the investigators, Giuliani shrugged it off, saying, “There’s no indication of any crime being committed on this tape.”

Michael Cohen Secretly Recorded Conversation With CNN Cuomo, Telling Him He Paid Stormy ‘on My Own’: Report

By Fox News. Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer, secretly recorded a conversation with CNN’s Chris Cuomo and admitted in the tape to arranging—on his own—a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels in 2016, The Wall Street Journal reported late Wednesday, citing unnamed sources.

The recording—which is about two-hours long—included topics ranging from the alleged years-old Trump affair with the former porn star to the payment, the report said. The reported tape could potentially be used by the White House to distance Trump from the Daniels payment and damage Cohen’s character.

Cohen reportedly assured Cuomo that he was not taping their conversation, and put the phone in his desk drawer. The phone appears to record the whole conversation.

“I did it on my own,” Cohen said about the payment in the recording, according to the newspaper. Cohen previously said he “facilitated” the payment with his own money and called it a “private transaction.” (Read more from “Michael Cohen Secretly Recorded Conversation With CNN’s Cuomo, Telling Him He Paid Stormy ‘on My Own’: Report” HERE)

AUDIO: Secret Recording of Trump and His Lawyer Discussing Payment Over ‘Mistress’ Released

By The Blaze. CNN’s Chris Cuomo aired Tuesday the much debated recording secretly made of President Donald Trump and his former lawyer, Michael Cohen from before the 2016 election. . .

The conversation was recorded by Cohen in September 2016 just head of the election, and it details the effort to set up a company to buy the story of Karen McDougal, a former Playboy playmate who claims she and Trump had an extramarital affair.

“I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David,” says Cohen on the recording, apparently referring to David Pecker, the owner of the National Enquirer.

“What financing?” says Trump, interrupting Cohen.

“We’ll have to pay,” responds Cohen.

Cohen’s lawyer Lanny Davis says the tape shows Trump saying that they should pay in cash, to which Cohen responds, “no no.”

CNN Airs Trump/Cohen Tape — but Then Trump Makes One Additional Request

By The Daily Caller. CNN aired part of a recorded conversation between President Trump and his former attorney, Michael Cohen, on Tuesday evening’s “Cuomo Prime Time.”

On the September 2016 recording, both Trump and Cohen can be heard discussing how to purchase the rights to Karen McDougal’s story about the alleged affair she had with the then-reality TV star in 2006 from American Media. . .

Trump can be heard asking Cohen “what financing?” and also “pay with cash,” although it was unclear whether that was a question or a statement to Cohen. The tape cuts off before a final decision is made, but not before Trump poses one additional request.

Leaked: Trump Sent Plane to Bring Home Otto Warmbier Without Asking North Korea’s Permission

When President Donald Trump learned of American college student and North Korean prisoner Otto Warmbier’s dire medical condition, he immediately sent a plane to land in Pyongyang and bring home the 22-year-old without asking North Korea’s permission first, says a report from GQ.

In early June of 2017, Trump-appointed U.S. special representative for North Korea policy Joseph Yun learned that Warmbier was unconscious. “I was completely shocked,” said Yun of learning the news. “I came back immediately, and I told Secretary Tillerson … and we determined at the time that we needed to get him and the other prisoners out as soon as possible, and I should contact Pyongyang and say I wanted to come right away.”

“When Trump learned of Otto’s condition, he doubled down on the order for Yun to rush to Pyongyang and bring Otto home,” says the report. “The North Koreans were unilaterally informed that an American plane would soon land in Pyongyang and that United States diplomats and doctors would get off.”

An anonymous State Department official said the president sounded like a “dad” when learning of the news. He was determined to retrieve Warmbier and bring him back to his parents as soon as humanly possible.

“The president was very invested in bringing Otto home,” the official told GQ. “Listening to him deliberate on this, he sounded to me a lot more like a dad.”

Trump Tweets an All-Caps Warning to Iran. Here’s What He Said.

President Trump warned Iran Sunday night that it better not continue threatening the United States or the country “will suffer consequences.”

In a message to Iranian President Rouhani, Trump tweeted in all caps: “Never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before. We are no longer a country that will stand for your demented words of violence & death. Be cautious!” . . .

“America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” Rouhani told Iranian diplomats, according to Reuters. . .

Trump’s comments also came after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo delivered remarks to members of the Iranian American community, expressing support for the Iranian people and saying the leadership in Tehran “resembles the Mafia more than a government.” (Read more from “Trump Tweets an All-Caps Warning to Iran.
