Trump Tells Americans to ‘Hang Tough’ for a ‘Historic’ Result

President Donald Trump again shows the strength and resolve needed to put America first. As his ten percent universal tariffs take effect, Trump has called on Americans to “hang tough” and weather the short-term challenges, promising that the long-term benefits will be worth it. Declaring that the U.S. is in the midst of an “economic revolution,” the president is determined to break free from decades of unfair trade practices and restore American manufacturing. This bold move aims to level the playing field, ensuring American workers and industries are no longer disadvantaged.

Just days after his global tariffs took effect, Trump promised to take decisive steps to bring back American jobs and protect the nation’s economic interests. In a Truth Social post, the president promised an economic revival that the U.S. would win.

Trump has implemented a 34 percent tariff on Chinese imports, which will take effect next week. In response, Beijing said it would impose a matching 34 percent tariff on American goods starting April 10. However, the move appeared to have little impact on Trump.

Trump’s Tariffs Shake the World: 50 Countries Already Fold as ‘America First’ Strategy Takes Hold

Nearly just a week, after President Donald Trump’s bold new tariffs took effect, over 50 countries, are already at the negotiating table, signaling that the global economic landscape is shifting in favor of American interests. The ten percent universal tariff on imports and reciprocal tariffs targeting roughly 90 nations are proving to be a wake-up call for the world. Countries that once took advantage of unfair trade practices are now scrambling to strike better deals, understanding that America is no longer willing to play the role of the passive consumer. Trump’s “America First” approach is pushing nations to reconsider their trade practices, and it’s clear that the President’s strategy of economic toughness is beginning to pay off.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins acknowledged that Trump’s tariffs have already forced other nations to bend to America’s will. She emphasized that the core purpose of these tariffs is to strengthen the U.S. economy by prioritizing American-made goods and industries. Rollins acknowledged that while the immediate impact of the tariffs may be harsh to digest, the long-term benefits for the country will be significant. She clarified that Trump’s bold policies are laying the groundwork for a more resilient and self-sufficient economy.

“We do already live under a tariff regime in this country, but it’s the tariff regime of China, of Mexico, of Brazil, of Australia, of countries that Mexico won’t take our corn, Australia won’t take our beef,” Rollins said. “The country of Honduras takes more pork than the entire European Union does, American pork, I should say. So, from our farming and ranching perspective, which is what I’m focused on, but happy to talk about anything that it has to, it is time for a change. That’s what this president evoked last Wednesday.”

“We already have 50 countries that have come to the table over the last few days, over the last weeks, that are willing and desperate to talk to us. We are the economic engine of the world, and it’s finally time that someone, President Trump, stood up for America,” she continued. It Begins: Vietnam Offers to Eliminate Tariffs on USA

President Donald Trump announced that Vietnam wants to drop tariffs on U.S. goods entirely if a deal can be struck between the countries.

Trump revealed the major development following a phone call with the general secretary of Vietnam’s Communist Party, To Lam.

“Just had a very productive call with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who told me that Vietnam wants to cut their Tariffs down to ZERO if they are able to make an agreement with the U.S.,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

“I thanked him on behalf of our Country, and said I look forward to a meeting in the near future,” he added.

The call comes days after Trump announced his sweeping worldwide reciprocal and baseline tariffs, which included a hefty 46-percent discounted reciprocal tariff on Vietnamese goods imported into America. (Read more from “It Begins: Vietnam Offers to Eliminate Tariffs on USA” HERE)

This One Quality Makes Trump a Dire Threat to the Deep State, Reagan Veteran Says

Don Devine is proud that The Washington Post once attacked him as President Ronald Reagan’s “terrible swift sword of the civil service,” but even he is blown away by the muscular reforms of the Trump administration.

That doesn’t stop him from giving advice on how to slay the deep state leviathan, however.

Devine, who served as the second director of the Office of Personnel Management under Reagan from 1981 to 1985, warned that public-sector unions will always oppose efforts to bring the administrative state to heel, so any conservative will have to take on these issues with steely resolve.

“They’re going to be fighting you no matter what you do,” Devine told The Daily Signal. “The unions in the government, which shouldn’t even be there … The unions, that’s their job, all right? If you do anything, they’re going to go to the courts after you.”

“So, what’s the answer? You got to do it anyway, you got to fight them,” he explained.

Public-sector unions, who represent federal government employees, have filed multiple lawsuits to block President Donald Trump’s reforms on everything from DOGE getting access to federal data to the firing of probationary employees to the removal of collective bargaining privileges.

Trump has just the stomach to face this threat, however, Devine said. (Read more from “This One Quality Makes Trump a Dire Threat to the Deep State, Reagan Veteran Says” HERE)

Dear President Trump

President Trump needs to bite his tongue. Please. We know, after what he has gone through, it is hard to do that. He is not doing himself, his supporters, or the country any favors. Because his opponents have made so many reckless statements, and are themselves guilty of lying, when he is worthy of criticism, his friends must do it. And he had better listen. History is full of great leaders who went sideways.

We understand that the rule of law has been punctured by the enemies of liberty. They did this through the use of “lawfare”, the January 6 Committee and their control of the mainstream media. We know that they lied to us about Covid. About the Russia Hoax. We know that Biden was a puppet, possibly with Obama somehow fulfilling his fantasy about a Third Term.

A planted earpiece in Biden’s head may actually have been used, and at least some of his confused answers might have occurred because of dictated narratives going on inside his head. If this did not actually occur, no one doubts that the technology exists.

But the will of the Left to do something existed. By the middle of Biden’s term, even the most ardent supporters of the Democratic Party knew that Biden was not in charge.

We might be headed for civil war with all the violence the Left is allowed to get away with, starting with “The Summer of Love” and the “mostly peaceful” riots in 2020. We see this now with the Tesla Torchings. But Trump is not helping the cause of freedom by shooting off his mouth in so many ways, just like many congressional Democrats have been doing.

Yes, the Constitution has been violated since its beginning in 1789. Both the Left and the Right tolerate it when their side is doing so, and the Left and the Right has existed, only under different names, ever since the start of our independence. Trump’s supporters are largely ignorant of what is, and is not, “constitutional”. Things that were violated long ago have become accepted as legal when they actually are not. These create a springboard for subsequent violations, and he has already crossed several lines.

The latest one is quite serious: the talk about a Third Term. He will lose his best supporters by suggesting that he might try for a 3rd term. I have read through the micro-parsing of words in the 22nd amendment by those who believe that a technical loophole exists. Only lawyers would salivate over this, which is why there are so many scornful lawyer jokes.

The Left for decades has used constitutional technicalities to claim that the vicious and discredited Equal Rights Amendment is still up for grabs. For conservatives to suggest such magical nonsense about a 3rd term would forever forfeit the moral high ground about constitutionality.

Imagine if Obama had tried to do this in 2016! The entire Republican Party and its conservative allies would have been screeching to the high heavens, as would have many Democrats. Many Democrats dumped FDR and voted for Republican Wendell Willkie in 1940 on those grounds alone, when no 22nd Amendment existed, but rather a hallowed, unwritten law of tradition about third terms. Grant and Teddy Roosevelt had tried, and been whacked down. The people made it clear enough to ensconce it into the Constitution in 1951, so any verbal loophole will sour Trump with his own friends.

Trump is floating a “trial balloon”. If we do not voice our displeasure, and right away, in every state, in every conservative blog large or small, he will see it as a green light.

We all know that Trump is reckless with talk, but it is through his actions that we have supported him. Personally, I don’t like his talk about either Greenland or Canada, but during his time as president-elect, it produced some initially favorable results. But we still at least like to pretend that we obey the Constitution. He might have said something more constitutional, as in “When I am sworn in, I will ask Congress to invite Greenland and part of Canada to join the United States.”

As I write this, Congress is making a bi-partisan effort to reclaim their power to control tariffs. It is a power that was yielded to the executive in a decidedly and unconstitutional manner. And it is truly bi-partisan. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski are RINOs, but Rand Paul and Chuck Grassley are solid, proven and principled conservatives, and they can see the consequences for playing fast and loose with the rules.

Mr. President, closing up NATO, flipping off the EU and the UN, the alphabet agencies in our own government, ending the trade disadvantages that NAFTA and GATT created in 1994 by a lame duck Congress, stopping the weaponization of justice, attacking the madness of transgenderism and abortion, are all great strides you have made. But not everything you do is good, nor constitutional. No winning streak lasts forever. Even the 1927 Yankees could not win every game.

You will squander your momentum unless you make the corrections, not the ones your enemies want to see — but your supporters.

Could Trump Get a Third Term? Law Professor Explains

President Donald Trump could not run for a third term, but he could be president a third time, according to Cornell law professor Bill Jacobson.

The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is clear that no one can be elected to the office of the president “more than twice.”

“But there’s nothing in the Constitution that prohibits someone from serving a third term,” said Jacobson, founder and publisher of Legal Insurrection. If another candidate won the presidential election, and Trump was his or her vice presidential running mate, that candidate could step aside after winning the race and allow Trump to take over, according to Jacobson, who was quick to add he doesn’t endorse such an action.

While a deal made with a running mate for Trump to serve a third term “does not violate the Constitution,” Jacobson says, it “might violate the spirit of the Constitution.”

The intent of the 22nd Amendment is “that we not have a permanent president,” Jacobson said, adding that because of that, serving a third term “might be subject to challenge,” adding:

It might be subject to what was the original meaning of these terms. But on its face, there’s no barrier.

American Families Thrived Under Trump’s Tax Plan — Don’t Kill It

As families faced a 20% spike in inflation under President Joe Biden, it’s no surprise that a strong majority of voters oppose new tax increases.

According to new polling from the Independent Women’s Forum, 79% of likely voters in the 2026 midterm elections support extending the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. That includes 80% of seniors, 78% of women, and 78% of independent voters.

Across all demographics, women voiced strong support for keeping the tax cuts in place. A majority agreed that Congress should act to stop individual income tax rates from rising in January 2026.

While inflation has begun to fall under President Trump, including last month’s slowest core inflation rate in nearly four years, more action is needed to keep prices moving downward.

Two-thirds of voters agree that now is not the time to raise taxes. That includes 65% of women and 70% of voters ages 18 to 34, who say high prices and high interest rates make additional tax increases unacceptable. Trump Wants Musk to Stay With Admin ‘As Long as Possible’ — Says DOGE Found Something ‘Horrible’

President Trump was adamant Thursday that he wants Elon Musk to be a part of his administration for “as long as possible,” teasing that the tech mogul’s team of government cost-cutters recently uncovered something “horrible.”

“I want Elon to stay as long as possible,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, before rattling off a list of reasons why he likes having the billionaire X owner around the White House.

“Number one: I like him. Number two: He’s doing a great job. Number three: He is a patriot,” the president said.

Musk, the unofficial head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, is expected to leave his post at the end of May, when his special government employee (SGE) status expires.

Per federal regulations, SGEs can only work in government for 130 consecutive days – pegging May 30 as the Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink CEO’s last day as DOGE chief. (Read more from “Trump Wants Musk to Stay With Admin ‘As Long as Possible’ — Says DOGE Found Something ‘Horrible’” HERE)

China Threatens U.S. With Retaliation if Trump Keeps Tariffs

The Chinese Commerce Ministry on Thursday demanded President Donald Trump immediately rescind the tariffs he announced on Wednesday, threatening unspecified “countermeasures” if he does not comply.

The Chinese ministry issued a statement accusing the United States of “unilateralism” and “protectionism.”

“The so-called reciprocal tariffs have violated international trade rules and undermine the legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties, and are a typical act of unilateral bullying,” the statement said.

“China firmly opposes the move and will take resolute countermeasures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests,” the Chinese Commerce Ministry threatened.

At a brief press conference on Thursday, the ministry said China would respond to the tariffs by intensifying trade negotiations with the European Union, Japan, and South Korea. The ministry added that “communications” with the Trump administration would continue. (Read more from “China Threatens U.S. With Retaliation if Trump Keeps Tariffs HERE)

Trump’s New Plan: No Free Trade Without Free Speech… UK Freaks Out

Trump’s new plan is to put economic pressure on [our] so-called allies and force them to respect real human rights, starting with free speech.

Under Trump’s free trade, countries like the UK wouldn’t get to enjoy the perks of trading with the US while trampling all over people’s basic civil liberties. . .

And apparently, the idea that the UK would have to meet bare minimum standards for free speech for their own citizens was enough to send shockwaves through the Good Morning Britain staff.

And it’s not just GMB having a meltdown—former Supreme Court justices are losing it too:

President Trump isn’t just using tariffs and trade to Make America Great Again—he’s using them to make the world free again. By tying economic deals to basic human rights like free speech, he’s giving people everywhere a real shot at freedom and prosperity. And he’s not doing it alone. He’s surrounded himself with a powerhouse team of smart, tough, and dedicated men and women who are all-in on protecting free thought, true democracy, and the values the West was built on.
