Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Responds to Atlantic Report: ‘Nobody Was Texting War Plans’

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Monday addressed a report by The Atlantic that claimed he had shared sensitive details about U.S. military strikes in Yemen on an encrypted messaging app to a group chat with other cabinet members where a reporter was accidentally added.

“Nobody was texting war plans and that’s all I have to say about that,” Hegseth said to a journalist after his plane touched down in Hawaii on an official trip.

The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg reported Monday that he was added to the group chat on March 13, two days after National Security Adviser Mike Waltz requested to add him as a contact on the Signal app.

The group chat was for the purpose of coordinating between the heads of different government agencies in regards to President Donald Trump’s decision to strike Houthi rebels in Yemen who had been targeting U.S. ships in the Red Sea since October 7, 2023.

Goldberg claimed that the morning of the strikes, on March 15, Hegseth had “texted [him] the war plan at 11:44 a.m. The plan included precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.” (Read more from “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Responds to Atlantic Report: ‘Nobody Was Texting War Plans’” HERE)

Trump Demands ‘Full-Throated Apology’ From Maine Gov on Trans Sports Flap

President Trump on Saturday demanded a “full-throated” apology from Maine Gov. Janet Mills (D) before his administration can settle its dispute with the state for defying his executive order banning transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.

The University of Maine System (UMS) backed down earlier this week and promised to follow the executive order on transgender competition, but Trump suggested the dispute over federal funding won’t be resolved until Mills’ mea culpa.

“While the State of Maine has apologized for their Governor’s strong, but totally incorrect, statement about men playing in women’s sports while at the White House House Governor’s Conference, we have not heard from the Governor herself, and she is the one that matters,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“We need a full throated apology from the Governor herself, and a statement that she will never make such an unlawful challenge to the Federal Government again, before this case can be settled.”

On Feb. 5, Trump signed an executive order that effectively banned transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports or else get cut off from federal funds. But top athletic associations in The Pine Tree State quickly resisted Trump’s order. (Read more from “Trump Demands ‘Full-Throated Apology’ From Maine Gov on Trans Sports Flap” HERE)

Wife of Activist Trump Wants to Deport Just Tried to Blow Up the Whole Case Against Him

Mahmoud Khalil, the Columbia University anti-Israel activist whom the Trump administration has targeted for deportation, has become a darling of the left, as people who hate America so often do. The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) claimed Friday that Khalil’s arrest “has created a speech-chilling atmosphere of fear,” and charges that “the Trump administration’s actions represent a dangerous escalation of the president’s attempts to choke off the free speech rights of people on American soil.” And on Sunday, Khalil’s wife attempted to blow up the entire case against him, asserting that it was “ridiculous” and “disgusting” to say that Khalil supports Hamas.

This is all-important, because if Khalil is found to be a Hamas supporter, the case against him would be nearly open-and-shut. U.S. Code § 1182 states that “any alien” who is “a representative” of “a political, social, or other group that endorses or espouses terrorist activity” is “inadmissible.” U.S. Code § 1227 adds that such an alien “is deportable.” The Associated Press described Khalil two weeks ago as one of the “student leaders of Columbia University Apartheid Divest” (CUAD). The Washington Post reported last Tuesday that “No one disputes that Khalil was the face of Columbia University Apartheid Divest.”

Khalil was CUAD’s chief negotiator with Columbia administrators. Politico explained: “Khalil was a lead negotiator representing the student protesters to the Columbia administration during the school’s ‘Gaza Solidarity Encampment’ last spring. The student group behind the encampment — Columbia University Apartheid Divest, or CUAD — had two main demands: that Columbia cut all its ties to Israel, including divesting and halting plans to build a ‘global center’ in Tel Aviv, and that the protesters themselves receive amnesty for their actions.”

However, apparently aware of how damaging that fact is to his case, Khalil himself disputes this. The BBC framed Khalil’s connection to CUAD as if it were merely something his opponents claimed: “Activists supporting Israel have accused Mr Khalil of being a leader of Columbia University Apartheid Divest (Cuad), a student group that demanded, among other things, the university to divest from its financial ties to Israel and a ceasefire in Gaza. Mr Khalil has denied that he led the group, telling the Associated Press (AP) that he only served as a spokesperson for protesters and as a mediator with the university.”

It’s easy to see why Khalil would want to distance himself from CUAD. In August 2024, it posted this on Instagram, then removed it once it started getting appalled notice from saner quarters: “We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.” During the anti-Israel protests at Columbia, the demonstrators screamed “Death to America.” (Read more from “Wife of Activist Trump Wants to Deport Just Tried to Blow Up the Whole Case Against Him” HERE)

Trump Yanks Secret Service Protection for Ex-DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas

President Trump yanked Secret Service protection for ex-Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the federal agency confirmed Monday evening.

Mayorkas, who was the face of the previous White House’s lenient stance on illegal immigration, initially had his taxpayer-provided security detail extended for six months by then-President Biden before it was cut short by Trump this week.

The Secret Service would have been with Mayorkas through mid-July if it wasn’t scrapped.

“Per executive memorandum of the President, the protective detail for former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has been discontinued,” a Secret Service spokesperson told The Post.

“To ensure the integrity of our operations, we cannot comment on the specifics of our protective means and methods”

Mayorkas is the latest Biden-era figure to lose security after the ex-president’s two adult children, Hunter and Ashley Biden, lost their details last week. (Read more from “Trump Yanks Secret Service Protection for Ex-DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas” HERE)

An Anti-Trump FBI Agent Was Just Arrested at JFK Before He Could Flee the Country

. . .It never fails—whatever these left-wing loons accuse Trump of, they end up doing themselves. And here’s a perfect example of that: Johnathan Buma, a weaponized FBI agent who was a tried and true member of the Russia Hoax fan club, accused the Trump administration of “political bias” and floated the idea that Rudy Giuliani was compromised by Russian agents. Classic projection.

But now, after all is said and done, Buma’s the one in handcuffs.

According to officials, this disgraced agent is accused of illegally leaking confidential information, all in an effort to write his big tell-all book. He even posted excerpts online, including sensitive info about FBI investigations into foreign weapons of mass destruction programs.

And just when things were heating up, Buma tried to get out of Dodge by fleeing the US. That plan didn’t work out too well—he was arrested at JFK Airport before he could skip out.

Glenn Beck shared the details in a post on X:

‘Excited’: Now Another Big Name Close to Trump Will Travel to Greenland This Week

First it was conservative giants Donald Trump Jr. and Charlie Kirk who visited Greenland, and now Second Lady Usha Vance is headed to the region President Donald Trump wishes to acquire for the United States.

Usha Vance, the wife of Vice President JD Vance, will travel on Thursday to Greenland with her son and an American delegation for a three-day visit.

The White House said on Sunday: “On Thursday, March 27, 2025, Second Lady Usha Vance will travel to Greenland with her son and a United States delegation to visit historical sites, learn about Greenlandic heritage, and attend the Avannaata Qimussersu, Greenland’s national dogsled race.

“The race brings together approximately 37 mushers and 444 dogs in a remarkable display of speed, skill, and teamwork. Ms. Vance and the delegation are excited to witness this monumental race and celebrate Greenlandic culture and unity.”

The delegation is set to return to America on Saturday. (Read more from “‘Excited’: Now Another Big Name Close to Trump Will Travel to Greenland This Week” HERE)

Trump Revokes Legal Status for 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans

U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration will revoke the temporary legal status of 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans in the United States, according to a Federal Register notice on Friday, the latest expansion of his crackdown on immigration.

The move, effective April 24, cuts short a two-year “parole” granted to the migrants under former President Joe Biden that allowed them to enter the country by air if they had U.S. sponsors.

Trump, a Republican, took steps to ramp up immigration enforcement after taking office, including a push to deport record numbers of migrants in the U.S. illegally. He has argued that the legal entry parole programs launched under his Democratic predecessor overstepped the boundaries of federal law and called for their termination in a January 20 executive order.

Trump said on March 6 that he would decide “very soon” whether to strip the parole status from some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled to the U.S. during the conflict with Russia. Trump’s remarks came in response to a Reuters report that said his administration planned to revoke the status for Ukrainians as soon as April. Justice Department Accuses Judge Overseeing Perkins Coie Case of Bias Against Trump, Urges Recusal

The Justice Department on Friday argued that the federal judge who is overseeing Perkins Coie’s case against President Donald Trump has demonstrated “partiality” against the president, and “animus” toward him.

The DOJ lawyers asked U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell to recuse herself from the case over the appearance of partiality, citing the current lawsuit, which she partially blocked, and other previous rulings, The Hill reported.

The lawsuit challenges an executive order by the president that targeted the Perkins Coie law firm. The order cited the firm’s “dishonest and dangerous activity,” stripping it of its clearances and essentially barring its attorneys from federal buildings.

Perkins Coie previously worked with the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in 2016 and Fusion GPS to produce the discredited Steele Dossier.

“Reasonable observers may view this Court as incapable of fairly adjudicating these claims against the Commander-In-Chief,” Deputy Associate Attorney General Richard Lawson wrote in the motion. “This Court’s pattern of hostility toward President Trump is not limited to his supporters. It also utilized the judicial power against President Trump himself.” (Read more from “Justice Department Accuses Judge Overseeing Perkins Coie Case of Bias Against Trump, Urges Recusal” HERE)

Trump Revokes Security Clearances for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton

President Donald Trump announced that he had revoked security clearances and access to classified information from people such as former President Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as several others.

Trump also revealed that he had also revoked the security clearances of former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), and “any other member” of the Biden family.

“I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information: Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissman, Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Cheney, Kamala Harris, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family,” Trump said. “Therefore, I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and to immediately rescind their access to classified information. I also direct all executive department and agency heads to revoke unescorted access to secure United States Government facilities from these individuals.”

Trump Signs Order To Dismantle Education Department ‘As Quickly As Possible’

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday afternoon directing Education Secretary Linda McMahon to start dismantling the Department of Education.

The signing, held in a packed East Room full of students, teachers, parents, education advocates, and governors from across the country, was a celebratory event for many who have wanted to see an end to federal bureaucrats’ dictating of education regulations and spending, without regard for the individual needs of states and localities. McMahon was also in attendance.

“The Department of Education, we’re going to eliminate it, and everybody knows it’s right, and the Democrats know it’s right, and I hope they’re going to be voting for it, because ultimately it may come before them,” Trump said. “Everybody knows it’s right that we have to get our children educated. We’re not doing well with the world of education in this country, we haven’t for a long time.”

Referring to McMahon, Trump continued, “We’re pleased to be joined today by the woman who I chose because she’s an extraordinary person, and hopefully she will be our last Secretary of Education.”

The order directs McMahon — “to the maximum extent appropriate” — take “all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return education authority to the States and local communities” without depriving Americans of the “benefits, programs, and benefits” they rely on.
