Trump Announces U.K. Trade Deal Hours After Media Predict Failure

When President Donald Trump announced tariffs on most countries, the propaganda press reported that he was dangerously offending allied nations like the United Kingdom. The sky was falling. It would be a disaster!

And while they doubted much good would come of Trump’s strategy to renegotiate U.S. trade agreements, the media complained it was taking him too long to show any results. As if countries benefiting from trade deals that have been in place for decades would be willing to ink new deals in a matter of weeks.

CNN’s Senior Business Editor Olesya Dmitracova wrote this week that there was a new trade deal between the United Kingdom and India but still no deal from Trump.

“For weeks, Trump has said that at least one trade deal is imminent with one of the dozens of countries in active negotiations with the United States to avoid his punishing tariffs — with India among the most likely to reach such an agreement first,” Dmitracova wrote. “The prospect of an agreement with any one major trading partner has boosted confidence in US financial markets and raised hopes that the world may avoid the worst impacts of America’s tariffs. But so far, no deal has emerged. Instead, it’s the United Kingdom that has secured a trade deal with India.”

Former Biden mouthpiece Jen Psaki mocked Trump on CNN for not yet having a deal. (Read more from “Trump Announces U.K. Trade Deal Hours After Media Predict Failure” HERE)

Former CDC Director: Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium ‘Very Important’

The former director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Dr. Robert Redfield, said Wednesday that he is in complete support of the decision by President Trump to put a moratorium on funding of gain-of-function research, calling it “very important.”

Trump signed an executive order on Monday in order to stop these experiments by cutting off funding to countries where they occur.

“I did an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal back in 2021, really calling on our government to put a moratorium on it,” Redfield told Newsmax. “There’s really no scientific advantage for doing this type of research and there’s a real downside in terms of creating pathogens that may cause problems that we don’t have countermeasures [for], like the COVID-19 virus, which I do believe was a direct consequence of gain-of-function research.”

The position that supporters of gain-of-function research take, that scientists need to “create these dangerous viruses to know how to develop countermeasures to them,” is “a mistake,” Redfield added.

“I argue that we have enough scientific capacity that if and when we’re challenged with a new pathogen, that we can apply the tools of science to address that pathogen and develop countermeasures,” he continued. “We don’t have to create the pathogen to figure out how to defend against the pathogen.” (Read more from “Former CDC Director: Gain-of-Function Research Moratorium ‘Very Important’” HERE)

Trump Says He’s Naming Fox News Host, Former Judge Jeanine Pirro as Top Federal Prosecutor in D.C.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that he is naming Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, a former county prosecutor and elected judge, to be the top federal prosecutor for the nation’s capital after abandoning his first pick for the job.

Pirro, who joined Fox News in 2006, co-hosts the network’s show “The Five” on weekday evenings. She was elected as a judge in New York’s Westchester County Court in 1990 before serving three terms as the county’s elected district attorney.

Trump tapped Pirro to at least temporarily lead the nation’s largest U.S. Attorney’s office after pulling his nomination of conservative activist Ed Martin Jr. for the position earlier on Thursday. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said he was naming Pirro as the interim U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., but didn’t indicate whether he would nominate her for the Senate-confirmed position on a more permanent basis.

“Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York. She is in a class by herself,” Trump wrote.

Trump withdrew Martin from consideration after a key Republican senator said he could not support Martin for the job due to his defense of rioters who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Trump Just Issued a Brutal Ultimatum to Putin – The Clock Is Ticking

President Donald Trump on Thursday gave an update on negotiations regarding the war between Ukraine and Russia, putting Moscow on notice that it will face consequences if it does not agree to a 30-day ceasefire deal.

Trump appears to be taking a tougher stance against Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been rather uncooperative when it comes to ironing out a peace deal.

“The U.S. calls for, ideally, a 30-day unconditional ceasefire. Hopefully, an acceptable ceasefire will be observed, and both Countries will be held accountable for respecting the sanctity of these direct negotiations,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The president further threatened, “If the ceasefire is not respected, the U.S. and its partners will impose further sanctions.”

Thousands of young soldiers are dying on a weekly basis, and everybody should want it to STOP. I do, and the United States of America does, also. As President, I will stay committed to securing Peace between Russia and Ukraine, together with the Europeans, and a Lasting Peace it will be! This ceasefire must ultimately build toward a Peace Agreement. It can all be done very quickly, and I will be available on a moment’s notice if my services are needed. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Poll Shows Media Narrative Of Trump Voter Regret Is Total Bunk

A new poll shows 92 percent of Trump voters are happy with their choice despite the legacy-media narrative that they regret it.

A poll conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute found that 92 percent of Trump voters are pleased with their vote, while 95 percent of voters who chose Vice President Kamala Harris are similarly satisfied. Eighty-five percent of voters who voted for independent candidates are also satisfied with their choice.

The poll was conducted between Feb. 28 and March 20 across all 50 states among more than 5,000 adults. The poll has a 1.69-point margin of error.

The findings are similar to those from a University of Massachusetts Amherst poll released on April 14. That poll found only 2 percent of Trump voters said they regretted their vote. The New York Times surveyed a focus group of the 13 independent voters who voted for Trump, and none regretted casting a ballot for the current president.

But surely the polls can’t be right, because the propaganda press has reliably informed Americans that voters were souring on Trump.

“Trump’s Agenda May Lead to Buyer’s Remorse Among His Voters,” Ed Kilgore wrote for Intelligencer. Kilgore said Hispanics would regret voting for Trump because of mass deportations, while Americans writ large would regret voting for Trump because of DOGE’s cuts to the bureaucratic state. Trump Says He’s Directing DOJ to Work On Releasing Tina Peters

President Donald Trump says he’s directing the U.S. Department of Justice “to help secure the release” of former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, who’s in a Colorado prison for her role in tampering with election equipment.

Peters, who was the Republican clerk of the western Colorado county during the 2020 election, was found guilty by a grand jury on seven charges related to election integrity, including three counts of attempting to influence a public official. She was sentenced to nine years in prison last October.

“Radical Left Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser ignores Illegals committing Violent Crimes like Rape and Murder in his State and, instead, jailed Tina Peters, a 69-year-old Gold Star mother who worked to expose and document Democrat Election Fraud,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, calling her an “innocent Political Prisoner being horribly and unjustly punished in the form of Cruel and Unusual Punishment.”

Trump pointed to Democrats flying to El Salvador to try and free Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who his administration alleges is an MS-13 gang member, while at the same time “cruelly imprisoning” Peters.

In the months after the 2020 election, Peters allowed an unauthorized person access to the county’s electronic voting machines and take images of server hard drives. (Read more from “Trump Says He’s Directing DOJ to Work On Releasing Tina Peters” HERE)

Supreme Court Restores Trump’s Transgender Military Ban — for Now

The Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the Trump administration to institute its ban on transgenders serving in the military.

In an order that all three liberal justices opposed, the high court approved an emergency petition from the Trump administration to nix a lower court injunction that blocked the ban from taking effect.

President Trump had signed an executive order Jan. 27 discharging service members who identify as transgender, a policy that was similar to one he implemented in his first administration that the Supreme Court upheld in 2019.

Former President Joe Biden later scrapped the transgender ban that the first Trump administration had put in place.

Seven transgender military service members and one aspiring service member sued the Trump administration over the latest ban and were backed by the National Center for Lesbian Rights as well as GLAD Law. (Read more from “Supreme Court Restores Trump’s Transgender Military Ban — for Now” HERE)

The Press Hates Trump More Than It Loves the Truth — and the Hyperbolic Fear-Mongering We’ve Seen Is Proof

When there is a Republican president, the leftist-dominated White House press corps likes to gang up and try to put him on defense.

The ultimate fantasy is repeating the glory days of Watergate by driving the president from office.

That was certainly the aim in Donald Trump’s first term, where the hunt by Democrats with press passes — and the help of a corrupt FBI — was so intense that they produced a near-daily flood of lurid allegations, with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax being the grand climax.

But Trump 2.0 is turning out to be a far different story, though not because the press has decided to be fair in its coverage.

Far from it.

Many editors and reporters are still predicting the end of the world every time he says or does something they don’t like.

Their definition of a scandal is when he deviates from past presidents, as if the Oval Office is a straitjacket. (Read more from “The Press Hates Trump More Than It Loves the Truth — and the Hyperbolic Fear-Mongering We’ve Seen Is Proof” HERE)

Plot Twist: Trump Vows to Make Hollywood Great Again

President Donald Trump has said that he would meet with Hollywood insiders to discuss his tariffs and negotiate on ways to reinvigorate the movie business.

As Breitbart News reported on Sunday, the president proposed putting “a 100% Tariff on any and all Movies coming into our Country that are produced in Foreign Lands.”

“The Movie Industry in America is DYING a very fast death,” he wrote on Sunday. “Other Countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from the United States. Hollywood, and many other areas within the U.S.A., are being devastated. This is a concerted effort by other Nations and, therefore, a National Security threat. It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda! Therefore, I am authorizing the Department of Commerce, and the United States Trade Representative, to immediately begin the process of instituting a 100% Tariff on any and all Movies coming into our Country that are produced in Foreign Lands. WE WANT MOVIES MADE IN AMERICA, AGAIN!”

Speaking with reporters on Monday, the president said that he wants to “help the industry” and would meet with Hollywood insiders to work out a deal.

“I’m not looking to hurt the industry; I want to help the industry,” he said. “We’re going to meet with the industry. I want to make sure they’re happy with it, because we’re all about jobs.” (Read more from “Plot Twist: Trump Vows to Make Hollywood Great Again” HERE)

Trump Offers Blunt, 3-Word Response After Canada’s New PM Says Country Is ‘Not for Sale’

President Trump had three little words for newly-elected Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney Tuesday after the commander in chief again said he wanted Canada to be America’s 51st state.

“I say, ‘Never say never,’” the 78-year-old said. “I’ve had many, many things that were not doable and ended up being doable.”

Trump was responding to Carney, 60, telling him that Canada is “not for sale” and that the Canadian view on becoming part of the US “is not going to change.”

“As you know from real estate, there are some places that are never for sale,” the Liberal PM said.

During a post-meeting news conference at the Canadian embassy, Carney said he had told Trump behind closed doors to “stop” publicly musing about annexing Canada — but did not reveal what the US president said in response.

“We are masters in our own home,” the prime minister added, “and we can give ourselves far more than any foreign government can ever take away.” (Read more from “Trump Offers Blunt, 3-Word Response After Canada’s New PM Says Country Is ‘Not for Sale’” HERE)
