Easter Egg Hunt Tragedy Leaves Young Mother, Her Baby and Teenager Dead

Three people were killed, including a 10-month-old girl, after high winds toppled a tree in Germany during an Easter egg hunt on Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Around 50 people from a nearby residential facility for new mothers, pregnant women and children were attending the egg hunt in a wooded area near the town of Satrupholm at about 11 a.m. when a 100-foot tree fell on top of them, police said in a statement.

Four people became pinned under the tree, police said.

First responders arrived at the scene and first began treating a 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl, but both died at the scene.

Christians Exclaim ‘He Is Risen’ on Easter Sunday: Here’s Why It’s So Meaningful

Christians around the world celebrate Jesus of Nazareth’s resurrection on Easter Sunday, almost 2,000 years after he died and was raised from the dead just three days later.

The exclamation “He is risen” is thrown around so much during the Easter holiday. But what does it mean? Why is the grisly image of the cross of Calvary so revered by Christians?

Most are aware of the story of Jesus being crucified on Good Friday and emerging from his tomb after three days. But Christians believe the meaning of his resurrection is much more significant than merely showcasing divine power over death.

The Gospels tell us two followers of Jesus went to his tomb early the morning of the Sabbath. As Luke 24:2-8 reads:

They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.

U.S. Farmers Donate 6 Million Eggs During Easter and Passover Holidays: ‘Proud to Give Back’

An effort to help American families get nutritious eggs during the Easter and Passover holidays is spreading across the country.

Over 97,000 eggs donated to Feed More by Dutt and Wagner and Green Valley Poultry Farm in Virginia is only one instance in the plan to get the food to those in need, 12 On Your Side reported Thursday.

Aaron McClung, chief development officer at Feed More, said, “A lot of families out here don’t have resources, so getting together around, Easter egg hunt or, you rent a table to celebrate a nice breakfast. That’s something that a lot of us take for granted. But thanks to the American, the egg board, this donation from farmers around Virginia is gonna make a huge difference for families in need.”

According to the Incredible Egg website, the American Egg Board is leading the donation effort called the Great American Egg Drive. The website noted that so far 6,332,800 eggs have so far been donated.

How Easter Transformed The World Like Nothing Else Ever Could

Across cultures throughout human history, people have sought to flee oppression and escape persecution. A recurring theme in Western literature and in modern classics such as Superman and Disney originals, which revolve around the struggle between good and evil, is the need and critical role for a rescuer or savior.

Easter is the celebration of the finished work of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the ultimate rescuer and savior for mankind, who sacrificed his life to provide forgiveness of sin — enabling all who believe in Christ to have a direct relationship with God.

That no other religion makes the claim that it was founded by a messiah makes Jesus the most revolutionary figure of human history.

Still, some assume Christianity is like other religions that require followers to perform certain works and rituals acceptable to God. Not so with Jesus, for he implores us in Matthew 11:30, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” When a learned Jewish Pharisee, whose life required living up to stressful “dos and don’ts” of the Mosaic law, asked Jesus which was the greatest commandment in the law, Jesus answered simply that if we love God and love our neighbor as ourselves, we will have fulfilled all the laws.

Christ is absolutely unique in other ways. First, he is the only person in history who was pre-announced starting a thousand years before he was born, with eighteen different prophets between the 10th and the 4th centuries B.C. predicting his coming birth, life, and death. Hundreds of years later, the details of Christ’s coming birth, life, betrayal, and manner of death validated those prophecies in surprisingly accurate and minute detail. One thousand years before Christ, David prophetically wrote about the crucifixion of Christ, at a time when crucifixion was unknown as a means of execution. Woman Arrested for Sending Poisoned Easter Eggs to Ex’s Family in Alleged ‘Revenge’ Plot, Killing 1 Child

A jealous ex allegedly sent poisoned chocolate Easter eggs to the home of her love rival, killing a 7-year-old boy and leaving two people in critical condition in Brazil.

Jordélia Pereira Barbosa, 35, allegedly purchased the chocolate eggs in a disguise at a supermarket and spiked them herself before they were delivered to the home of her ex-boyfriend’s new partner, 32-year-old Mirian Lira, according to reports.

Barbosa left a note with the gift that read, “With love, to Mirian Lira. Happy Easter,” the Daily Mail reported.

Lira received the gift and shared the eggs with her children, 7-year-old Luis Silva and 13-year-old Evelyn Fernanda, last Wednesday.

Little Luis fell ill “immediately” after eating the chocolates and died at a nearby hospital the following day. Evelyn and Lira are still in critical condition at the same hospital, according to The Standard. ‘I Didn’t Do That’: Lyin’ Biden Says He Did Not Declare This Easter Sunday as ‘Transgender Day of Visibility’ (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden said on Monday that he did not declare this Easter Sunday as Transgender Day of Visibility.

Biden’s claim comes after he has faced outrage from Christians for issuing a proclamation about it and posting about it on social media on Easter Sunday. . .

A reporter asked Biden about the matter during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

“Mr. President, what does Easter mean to you, sir?” the reporter asked. “Sir, what does Easter mean to you?”

Biden, who claims to be a “devout Catholic,” responded: “Time for forgiveness and people getting together and a little bit of love and no phoniness. Be straight with people.”

White House Does Ramadan but Bans Christian Symbols for Easter; Announces Blasphemous “Transgender Day of Visibility” for Easter

The White House decided to prohibit the inclusion of Christian symbols in its annual Easter art event while simultaneously celebrating Ramadan. The controversy centers around the exclusion of religious Easter egg designs from children of the National Guard participating in the “Celebrating National Guard Families” art event.

According to the guidelines outlined in the contest flyer, submissions for Easter egg designs must refrain from featuring religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements.

This decision has raised eyebrows, especially considering the juxtaposition with the White House’s recognition and celebration of Ramadan, a significant Islamic holiday. The White House has a long-standing tradition of commemorating Easter.

The flyer for the art contest emphasizes the theme of “Celebrating our Military Families,” encouraging children from National Guard families to submit artwork reflecting their own lives. Selected designs are to be painted on real eggs by talented artists and displayed at the White House during the Easter and Passover season.

However, the guidelines also stipulate that designs must not promote “bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual” or discriminate based on various factors, including religion. The guidelines resulted in the exclusion of Christian representation, undermining the diversity of religious expression.

On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.

I am proud that my Administration has stood for justice from the start, working to ensure that the LGBTQI+ community can live openly, in safety, with dignity and respect. I am proud to have appointed transgender leaders to my Administration and to have ended the ban on transgender Americans serving openly in our military. I am proud to have signed historic Executive Orders that strengthen civil rights protections in housing, employment, health care, education, the justice system, and more. I am proud to have signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law, ensuring that every American can marry the person they love.

Transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our Nation. Whether serving their communities or in the military, raising families or running businesses, they help America thrive. They deserve, and are entitled to, the same rights and freedoms as every other American, including the most fundamental freedom to be their true selves. But extremists are proposing hundreds of hateful laws that target and terrify transgender kids and their families — silencing teachers; banning books; and even threatening parents, doctors, and nurses with prison for helping parents get care for their children. These bills attack our most basic American values: the freedom to be yourself, the freedom to make your own health care decisions, and even the right to raise your own child. It is no surprise that the bullying and discrimination that transgender Americans face is worsening our Nation’s mental health crisis, leading half of transgender youth to consider suicide in the past year. At the same time, an epidemic of violence against transgender women and girls, especially women and girls of color, continues to take too many lives. Let me be clear: All of these attacks are un-American and must end. No one should have to be brave just to be themselves.

At the same time, my Administration is working to stop the bullying and harassment of transgender children and their families. The Department of Justice has taken action to push back against extreme and un-American State laws targeting transgender youth and their families and the Department of Justice is partnering with law enforcement and community groups to combat hate and violence. My Administration is also providing dedicated emergency mental health support through our nationwide suicide and crisis lifeline — any LGBTQI+ young person in need can call “988” and press “3” to speak with a counselor trained to support them. We are making public services more accessible for transgender Americans, including with more inclusive passports and easier access to Social Security benefits. There is much more to do. I continue to call on the Congress to pass the Equality Act, to codify civil rights protections for all LGBTQI+ Americans.

World’s Most Dangerous Place to Be Christian Prepares for Easter

Nigeria’s police chief on Thursday ordered around-the-clock enhanced security at public venues across the country throughout the Easter weekend, fearing religious violence in a country where Christians are under almost constant attack.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun said through a spokesman that extra resources would be devoted to maintaining security at “worship centers, train stations, highways, motor parks, airports, waterways, recreation centers, banks, and other financial institutions, as well as other critical infrastructures and public spaces.”

“The IGP also assures all travelers who will be visiting their hometowns and other places within the country for the festivities of adequate security irrespective of the medium of such travels whether by road, air, waterways, or rail, as deployments have been increased and visibility patrols intensified in all areas including aerial patrol and surveillance,” Egbetokun’s office said.

“As we commemorate the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us come together in unity and vigilance to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all,” the statement said.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) said on Thursday it would deploy 35,000 personnel to protect both Easter crowds and “critical national assets and infrastructure,” including operatives from its anti-vandalism, special intelligence, special female, and special forces squads. Tragedy: 45 Dead After Bus Crashes off Cliff En Route to Easter Church Service

Forty-five Christians are dead and a young girl seriously injured after a bus crashed off a cliff in South Africa en route to an Easter church service.

The bus crash reportedly took place in Limpopo, the northernmost province of South Africa, and occurred after the vehicle veered off a cliff and burst into flames upon hitting the ground. According to various reports, the lone survivor of the accident was an 8-year-old girl who was now receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital.

The group was reportedly from Botswana and headed to Moria, South Africa, for Easter church services as Christians around the world prepare to commemorate the resurrection.

“I am sending my heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the tragic bus crash near Mamatlakala,” said South African Minister of Transport Sindisiwe Chikunga. “Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. By The Federalist. The White House celebrated Easter on Sunday with its traditional egg roll, but the Resurrection Day festivities turned into a national embarrassment thanks to the president. His handlers, including his wife, did their best to walk him around like a pet, telling him when to sit, speak, and stay.

This all raises the obvious and alarming question: Who is in charge of the greatest country on Earth right now? Because it sure as heck isn’t Joe Biden.

If you haven’t seen any of the footage, you might think this is an exaggeration, but it isn’t. Here’s Jill Biden monopolizing a children’s book reading, with her husband announcing, “And they’re not going to let me read at all.” . . .

And here’s Jill Biden tapping Joe on the arm with the command to “just stay,” presumably so he didn’t wander off as he is wont to do, followed by the duo awkwardly laughing it off as if she hadn’t just treated the president of the free world like a puppy in training. . .

Worse, it wasn’t just Biden’s wife taking care of him; even a giant furry was tasked with wrangling the president. When Biden started yammering about Pakistan and Afghanistan — his failed and deadly withdrawal from which became one of the many defining crises of his presidency — the Easter bunny stepped in to cut off the president from saying another word.

‘Easter Bunny’ Whisks Biden Away as He Starts Discussing Afghanistan: Video

By Fox News. A person dressed in an Easter Bunny costume broadsided President Biden Monday afternoon as he was answering a reporter’s questions on Afghanistan and Pakistan. . .

“Pakistan should not, and Afghanistan should be…” President Biden can be heard saying before the “Easter Bunny” approaches.

“Oh, the Easter Bunny!” someone can be heard saying off-camera.

The Easter Bunny gives the president a big wave to usher him away as a visibly annoyed Biden appears caught off guard. He was reportedly needed to kick off another round of the egg-rolling competition by blowing a whistle.
