Jesus Christ’s Resurrection Is Probably The Best-Documented Historical Event Ever

There are many religions with different founders, prophets, and teachers going back thousands of years. But only one of them, Christianity, has a founder who professed to be the Messiah—the son of God—who provided irrefutable proof of who he was by conquering death through resurrection. Easter is the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

Christ is also the only person in history who was pre-announced starting a thousand years before he was born, with 18 different prophets from the Old Testament between the tenth and the fourth centuries BC predicting his coming birth, life, and death. Hundreds of years later, the details of Christ’s birth, life, betrayal, and manner of death validated those prophecies in surprisingly accurate and minute detail. One thousand years BC, David prophetically wrote about the crucifixion of Christ at a time crucifixion was unknown as a means of execution. . .

Christ was unique in that he gave up his life as a sacrifice to fulfill why he came into the world. Christ set the highest standard of love possible, both in his teachings and in making the ultimate sacrifice—giving his life to rescue and save mankind. Then, to provide “seeing is believing” evidence, God brought Jesus back from being dead in a tomb to being alive—resurrected—so people would have living proof of who he was.

The New Testament provides accounts from multiple sources who witnessed Jesus firsthand after the resurrection. In fact, Jesus made ten separate appearances to his disciples between the resurrection and his ascension into Heaven, over a period of 40 days. Some of those appearances were to individual disciples, some were to several disciples at the same time, and once even to 500 at one time.

Particularly noteworthy is that there were no accounts of witnesses who came forth and disputed these appearances or called it a “hoax.” Not a single one. Trump Sends Hostile Easter Message to New York Attorney General

Former President Donald Trump delivered an aggressive Easter Sunday message to New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is engaged in a civil investigation into possible fraud committed by the Trump Organization.

In his missive, sent via an email blast from Trump’s Save America PAC, Trump seized on James suspending her campaign for governor to seek reelection as attorney general instead.

“Happy Easter to failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James,” Trump said. “May she remain healthy despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while at the same time keeping crime, death, and destruction in New York!”

Christians in Lands of Persecution Fear Attacks on Easter

Christians living in countries hostile to Christianity often face increased fears for their personal safety in the run-up to the Easter holiday, Mike Gore, the CEO of Open Doors Australia and New Zealand (an organization that aids persecuted Christians) wrote in an op-ed for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on Thursday.

“[F]or many Christians around the world, the anticipation of Easter is accompanied by the fear of an attack. As many Christians gather on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, the risk of violence intensifies. As Christians gather to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus, they themselves become targets for violent extremism,” Gore wrote on April 14. . .

Gore on Thursday cited Open Doors statistics which found that “526 Christians have lost their lives while celebrating Easter over the past seven years, with hundreds more injured. Just a year ago, on 28 March 2021, twenty people were injured in a bombing on Palm Sunday in a church in Makassar, south Sulawesi [Indonesia].”

Disturbing: Parent Passed Out Condoms at an Elementary School While Dressed as the Easter Bunny

A parent dressed up as the Easter bunny showed up at a Texas elementary school and handed out plastic eggs with condoms in them to students.

The parent had given the eggs to the elementary school children without the school’s prior knowledge, according to Gullett Elementary School Principal Tammy Thompson’s letter to parents Thursday afternoon.

“This afternoon during dismissal, a Gullett parent visited campus dressed as the Easter Bunny and handed out plastic eggs. Some of those eggs contained candy, and some students were also given unopened condoms,” Thompson wrote, according to Fox7 Austin.

“Please know that this was not a planned event, nor sanctioned by the school, and we have spoken with the parent about the inappropriate nature of their activity,” Thompson continued. “We value parent participation and always request that you work with campus staff to best support our students.”

Woke Pope Good Friday Declaration: ‘We Are Racists!’; Compares Migrants to Jesus

Pope Francis accused the West of racism Friday, insisting migrants are “subdivided” by skin color and country of origin.

“Refugees are subdivided,” the pontiff declared during a lengthy Good Friday interview on Italian television. “There’s first class, second class, skin color, [whether] they come from a developed country [or] one that is not developed.”

“We are racists, we are racists. And this is bad,” the pope stated.

As he has done on other occasions, Francis compared the current problem of migrants and refugees to the flight into Egypt of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus when King Herod was seeking to kill him.

Atheist Investigator Tried to Disprove Christ’s Resurrection, Gets Converted Instead

When atheists find evidence of Jesus’ Resurrection and become believers, you know there must be more than just faith that it happened. Two of the most famous former atheists came to a Truth for a New Generation conference outside of this North Carolina city to talk about how they ended up strong defenders of the fact Christ really did rise from the dead.

As a successful cold-case detective, J. Warner Wallace became so well known at solving decades-old murders, he ended up as the foremost expert on national TV true crime shows.

But as an atheist, he decided to turn his superior detective skills on disproving the Resurrection of Jesus Christ … or even proving it if the evidence should somehow take him there. . .

[Another atheist, Josh McDowell, set out to do the same.] McDowell stated, “In my research to refute Christianity, I became convinced the Church would never have been founded without the Resurrection. Everything that they did pointed back to that.”

One huge thing they did: break the Sabbath and worship Jesus as they did it. Remember: all the early believers were fervent Jews who had believed they faced dire danger if they broke the Sabbath. Disturbing Easter Message: U.S. Senator Claims ‘We Are Able To Save Ourselves’

U.S. Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., a former pastor, said in a now-deleted tweet that “the meaning of Easter is more transcendent” than the resurrection of Jesus.

“Whether you are Christian or not, through a commitment to helping others we are able to save ourselves,” he wrote. . .

Christianity is distinguished from other religions in its belief that salvation is a gift of God, through Jesus’ payment of the penalty for sin. And it’s the resurrection of Jesus from the dead that verifies that claim.

Retired Desert Storm veteran Samuel Williams reacted to Warnock’s tweet: “What kind of Reverend would say something like this. Jesus Christ died and then rose again to take the sins of the world away. You are poisoning the minds of Christians for political purposes.”

“Out!” shouted Artur Pawlowski, pastor of the Cave of Adullam Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. “Nazis are not welcome here! Do not come back you Nazi psychopaths. Unbelievable sick, evil people. Intimidating people in a church during the Passover! You Gestapo, Nazi, communist fascists! Don’t you dare come back here!”

“Can you imagine those psychopaths? Passover. The holiest Christian festival of the year and they’re coming to intimidate Christians during the holiest festival? Unbelievable. What is wrong with those sick psychopaths. It’s beyond me. How dare they,” he continued.

Officials who were present included a woman wearing a jacket bearing the title “Public Health Inspector” as well as seven police officers, many of them armed, apparently to discuss COVID-related health restrictions. Why Easter’s Holy Week Means Hope for the Downcast

If Easter is about anything, it’s about hope conquering hopelessness, eternal life defeating death, and God’s grace prevailing over Satan’s condemnation. Easter is the best good news there is because Christ is risen. This is what Christians celebrate, and it is a message to widely proclaim with clarity and conviction. . .

Easter may be all bright, happy news, but we must appreciate the darkness of the backdrop upon which the resurrection of Jesus is painted. We easily embrace that Christ is victorious, but victory requires struggle. Recall, Holy Week begins with the Triumphal Entry, where Jesus is wildly celebrated as he enters Jerusalem. He is the people’s rock star, but things change fast.

The Savior of the world hits the lowest point of His life just days later. By Thursday evening Jesus is in the depths of despair. As Luke 22:41-44 relays:

And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, ‘Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.’ And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

“And being in agony, he prayed.” Consider these words about God Himself. That is part of the great wonder of the central truth of Christianity. Have you ever been in agony, seemingly without hope? Most of us have. But we can take great hope in the mysterious fact that God Himself — while remaining fully God — has experienced it too.
