A ‘Cover-Up’: Republicans Ask Why Discovery of Classified Biden Documents Were Not Revealed Until AFTER the Midterms; GOP Rep.: : Impeach Joe Biden for Mishandling Classified Documents, ‘Vice Presidents Cannot Declassify Docs’

By Daily Mail. Republicans on Tuesday demanded to know why the fact President Joe Biden had classified documents from when he was vice president at his think tank wasn’t revealed until after the midterm elections with one calling it a ‘cover up.’

‘When you cover up something before an election,’ Republican Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska told reporters on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning ‘that is probably a point that needs to be highlighted.’ . . .

The White House announced late Monday that Biden’s lawyers discovered 10 classified documents in his former office at a Washington think tank on November 2.

That was six days before the midterm election, where Republicans won control of the House but not by the landslide many had predicted.

The announcement of such a discovery likely would have a been a political explosion in the election akin to the FBI announcing in 2016, eleven days before the election, the discovery of additional Hillary Clinton emails. Marjorie Taylor Greene: Impeach Joe Biden for Mishandling Classified Documents, ‘Vice Presidents Cannot Declassify Docs’

By Breitbart. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said President Joe Biden should be impeached for mishandling classified documents reportedly related to Ukraine and Iran dated between 2013 and 2016.

Greene explained the stark difference in Biden’s mishandling of documents compared to the alleged claim that former President Donald Trump safely stored documents at Mar-a-Lago.

“This is a very serious situation. Vice presidents cannot declassify documents. And the fact that Joe Biden is in possession of classified documents when he was vice president, signals we need to have a serious investigation into this,” Greene told C-Span.

“There is a true two tier justice system stemming from the department of justice in the way President Trump has been treated — who is allowed to classify and declassify documents. Presidents can do that,” she said.

“I’ll echo again, impeach Biden,” she added. (Read more from “Marjorie Taylor Greene: Impeach Joe Biden for Mishandling Classified Documents, ‘Vice Presidents Cannot Declassify Docs’” HERE)

FBI Reportedly Promised Twitter the Bureau Would Be ‘Conduit’ Between Tech Industry, Intel Agencies

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reportedly promised Twitter it would be “the belly button” for requests from intelligence agencies to the tech industry, newly released documents show.

“Will the industry partners rely on the FBI to be the belly button for the USG? We can do that as well,” FBI Agent Elvis Chan reportedly asked former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth in an email, according to the latest “Twitter Files” installment reported by journalist Matt Taibbi.

Chan was reportedly asking Roth about monthly calls between intelligence agencies and the tech industry led by the FBI, Taibbi said. Chan was reportedly pushing for the State Department’s Global Engagement Center to be included in the weekly call, according to emails shared by Taibbi.

Twitter reportedly pushed back against including the GEC in the meetings because it was “political” unlike the “apolitical” intelligence agencies. Roth expressed concerns about the GEC being “press happy” and said it would be a “major risk” to bring it into the weekly call, Taibbi reported.

Chan proposed a compromise to Twitter and Facebook where the FBI and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would serve as “conduits in and out from the USG,” Taibbi continued.

FBI Office Investigating Hunter Biden Sent Twitter Numerous Censorship Requests Right Before 2020 Election

Emails released on Saturday as part of the latest dump of the “Twitter Files” reveal that the week before the 2020 presidential election, the FBI field office investigating Hunter Biden sent multiple censorship requests to Twitter — so many in fact, a top attorney for the tech giant found it “odd.” This blockbuster detail from the weekend came mere days after the FBI issued a statement framing coverage of the “Twitter Files” as “misinformation” being peddled by “conspiracy theorists.”

The FBI has “some folks in the Baltimore field office and at HQ that are just doing keyword searches for violations,” then-Twitter legal executive Stacia Cardille stressed in a Nov. 3, 2020, email to Jim Baker, the then-deputy general counsel for Twitter. “This is probably the 10th request I have dealt with in the last 5 days,” Cardille continued, before telling Baker to let her know if he had any other questions.”

Less than an hour later, Baker responded to Cardille, noting it was “odd” that the FBI is “searching for violations of our policies.”

Independent journalist Matt Taibbi published these emails as part of a 50-something Christmas Eve “Twitter Files” thread that he remarked showed “the FBI acting as doorman to a vast program of social media surveillance and censorship, encompassing agencies across the federal government – from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA.”

The entire thread is newsworthy, but that FBI agents in both the Baltimore field office and at FBI headquarters were running keyword searches for supposed Twitter violations proves hugely significant because both offices were involved in the Hunter Biden investigation. Twittergate: 63% Want FBI ‘Censorship’ of Social Media Investigated

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has lost the confidence of half the nation, with even more now calling for an investigation into allegations the agency teamed with liberals to police top social media sites in order to benefit Democrats and President Joe Biden.

In the latest Rasmussen Reports survey, 63% want the new Congress to investigate reports of censorship by the FBI of Twitter and Facebook. An equal amount believe that it happened.

The finding in the new survey, sponsored by Miranda Devine, author of the book Laptop from Hell which deals with first son Hunter Biden’s scandal-laden computer, followed a week of revelations that the government convinced Twitter to censor posts about Biden and his critics. FBI Admits It Meddles In ‘Numerous Companies,’ Not Just Twitter

After a series of “Twitter Files” detailed Twitter’s extensive collusion with the FBI and federal agencies to control public discourse before Elon Musk took over the tech giant, the FBI on Wednesday tried to salvage its reputation by spinning the revelations as normal procedure.

“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries,” the FBI said in a statement to Fox News. “As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers.”

The FBI’s statement came after the release of Part 6 and Part 7 of the “Twitter Files.” Those were reported by independent journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger, respectively. “The Twitter Files” is the release of internal company documents through multiple independent, politically left-leaning journalists that have included Bari Weiss and Lee Fang.

Taibbi’s Twitter reporting details the FBI’s extensive private communication with Twitter. The documents show how the FBI pressured Twitter to censor information in a partisan direction, usually under the guise of bolstering “election integrity” or combatting “misinformation” about Covid-19. Shellenberger’s reporting shows the FBI fed lies to Twitter executives to justify its censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story from The New York Post just weeks before the 2020 presidential election. Polling later showed that communications restriction tipped the election to Joe Biden. (Read more from “FBI Admits It Meddles in ‘Numerous Companies,’ Not Just Twitter” HERE)

The FBI’s Response to the Twitter Files Is Not Going Over Well

. . .[T]he FBI responded to revelations from the Twitter files that the federal law enforcement agency worked with the social media platform to categorize Hunter Biden’s laptop as “Russian disinformation” by hurling accusations about “conspiracy theorists.”

‘Twitter Files’ Make It Clear: We Must Abolish the FBI

As we learn more and more from the “Twitter Files,” it is becoming all too obvious that Federal agencies such as the FBI viewed the First Amendment of our Constitution as an annoyance and an impediment. In Friday’s release from the pre-Musk era, journalist Matt Taibbi makes an astute observation: Twitter was essentially an FBI subsidiary.

The FBI, we now know, was obsessed with Twitter. We learned that agents sent Twitter Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth some 150 emails between 2020 and 2022. Those emails regularly featured demands from US government officials for the “private” social media company to censor comments and ban commenters they did not like.

The Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF), a US government entity that included the FBI as well as other US intelligence agencies expressly forbidden from domestic activities, numbered 80 agents engaged regularly in telling Twitter which Tweets to censor and which accounts to ban. The Department of Homeland Security brought in outside government contractors and (government-funded) non-governmental organizations to separately pressure Twitter to suppress speech the US government did not like.

US Federal government agencies literally handed Twitter lists of Americans it wanted to see silenced, and Twitter complied. Let that sink in.

This should be a massive scandal and likely it would have been had it occurred under a Trump Administration. Indeed, Congress would be gearing up for Impeachment 3.0 if Trump-allied officials had engaged in such egregious behavior. But since these US government employees were by-and-large acting to suppress pro-Trump sentiment, all we hear are crickets.

What is interesting about these Twitter revelations is how obsessed the FBI and its government partners were with satire and humor. Even minor Twitter accounts with small numbers of followers were constantly flagged by the Feds for censorship and deletion. But knowledge of history helps us understand this obsession: in Soviet times the population was always engaged in joking about the ineptitude, corruption, and idiocy of the political class. Underground publications known as samizdat were rich with satire, humor, and ridicule. . .

We do not need the FBI and CIA and other federal agencies viewing us as the enemy and attacking our Constitution. End the Fed…and End the Federal Bureau of Investigation! (Read more from “‘Twitter Files’ Make It Clear: We Must Abolish the FBI” HERE)

‘Dem on Dem’ Drama Over FBI Headquarters Delays Omnibus Text Release

Senate Democrat disagreements over the future headquarters of the FBI have delayed the release of the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Senate Minority Leader John Thune (R-SD) described the conflict as a “Dem on Dem” issue. A source familiar told Roll Call that the FBI headquarters issue delayed the release of the omnibus bill and that House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) was involved in the negotiations.

Hoyer has long been a proponent of moving the headquarters of the FBI to Maryland.

Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Pat Leahy said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has tried to resolve the Democrat spat.

Leahy continued, saying that the release of the legislative text for the omnibus spending bill could happen on Tuesday instead of Monday. Lawmakers are rushing to finish the release and passage of the omnibus before Christmas and a winter storm later this week. Hunter Biden’s Strategy To Go on the Offensive Further Indicts the Feds

Two months after the FBI subpoenaed the laptop Hunter Biden had abandoned at a Delaware computer repair store, the Drug Enforcement Administration searched the office of Hunter’s one-time psychiatrist Keith Ablow and seized a second laptop Hunter had left with him. The timing of the DEA raid and the fact that criminal charges were never filed against Ablow, coupled with whistleblowers’ claims that the FBI buried evidence against Hunter Biden, raises the question of whether the search was a pretext to recover Hunter’s laptop and protect the Biden family.

While the DEA’s recovery of the second Hunter Biden laptop escaped scrutiny over the last nearly three years, a Washington Post article from Saturday brings that laptop into focus — and with it questions about the DEA’s seizure of the laptop and agents’ decision to return it to Hunter. . .

In a weekend article titled “Some Hunter Biden Allies Making Plans to go After His Accusers,” The Washington Post reported that Hunter and his closest advisers are plotting an offensive for when Republicans assume control of the House of Representatives in January. The strategy sessions to counter what Biden associates frame as “an expected onslaught of investigations by House Republicans” began last September, according to the Post, with a meeting at the California home of Hunter Biden’s friend and lawyer Kevin Morris.

Morris, already famous in the entertainment industry as an attorney for the co-creators of “South Park,” gained notoriety when the New York Post reported that Morris “footed Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes totaling over $2 million.” In addition to Morris, David Brock, a liberal activist, reportedly joined in the September 2022 strategy session. “At one point, Hunter Biden himself happened to call into the meeting, connecting briefly by video to add his own thoughts,” according to the Post.

While not detailing Hunter’s purported thoughts, The Washington Post reported that Morris suggested “it was crucial” “for Hunter Biden’s camp to be more aggressive.” According to Saturday’s article, Morris then described during the September meeting at his California home the “defamation lawsuits the team could pursue against the presidential son’s critics, including Fox News, Eric Trump and Rudy Giuliani.” Morris also reportedly “outlined extensive research on two potential witnesses against Hunter Biden — a spurned business partner named Tony Bobulinski and a computer repairman named John Paul Mac Isaac.” (Read more from “Hunter Biden’s Strategy To Go on the Offensive Further Indicts the Feds” HERE)

FBI Used Secret Powers to Strip More Americans of Their Gun Rights, Documents Reveal

The FBI has secretly stripped eight more people of their rights to own, use, or purchase firearms , according to internal FBI documents obtained by the Washington Examiner.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and over a dozen GOP members of Congress in October demanded that the FBI and Justice Department hand over proof that the FBI is no longer waiving people’s gun rights with internal forms, which the Daily Caller uncovered in September had been signed by 15 people. Now, the Washington Examiner has obtained eight heavily redacted signed forms — indicating a more widespread bureau effort than previously known to target the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

“Americans can’t simply sign their constitutional rights away, even to the FBI,” Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX), who signed the October letter, told the Washington Examiner. “As Republicans enter a House majority, we must use our investigative power to put a check on federal agencies who have proven to be eager and willing to crack down on Americans’ right to keep and bear arms.”

Through the forms, the FBI asked signatories to identify as a “danger” to themselves or others or lacking the “mental capacity adequately to contract or manage” their lives. The forms were presented by the FBI to people at their homes and in other undisclosed locations beginning in at least 2016 and until December 2019, when the FBI claims it was discontinued.
