Teacher Allegedly Displays Graphic Saying Confederate Flag Means ‘You Intend to Marry Your Sister’ (VIDEO)

A Georgia teacher allegedly showed a Powerpoint image of a Confederate flag to the teacher’s classroom accompanied by a caption reading, “A sticker you put on the back of your pickup truck to announce that you intend to marry your sister. Think of it like a white trash ‘Save the Date’ card.” . . .

The incident allegedly occurred at Hephzibah High School, where the daughter of Melissa Fuller was in the teacher’s class. Melissa Fuller told WRDW, “She found it offensive, so she sent it to me and asked me what I thought.” Fuller posted the story on Facebook. Fuller stated, “A lot of [it] is that it’s not morally correct. It’s unethical. It’s just something you don’t want to discuss today in today’s world and especially inside of a classroom.” She added, “Why was that used? With it being such a rough area, why would you put that out there to start a class discussion that could have turned very ugly?”

Fuller said her daughter had once worn a Confederate flag belt buckle to school, then removed it after she was told it was inappropriate, but still received an in-house suspension. She asked, “If she can’t wear that belt buckle, then why is it appropriate to make an assignment out of it?” . . .

WRDW reported that the district released the following statement: “The Richmond County School System is committed to creating a diverse, equitable learning environment for all students. The language used in the example was unacceptable and has no place in our classrooms.”

Constitution Party Gets Fraud-Laced Voting System Thrown Out, State May Have to Return to Paper Ballots; State Officials Were “Not Credible”

Thursday Judge Amy Totenberg of the U.S. District Court of North Georgia banned the current Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) voting systems from further use in Georgia elections beginning in 2020. The DRE system produces results that cannot be verified by the voter, audited by election officials or recounted for candidates. The court found the system impairs Georgia voters’ Constitutional right to vote in any federal election.

Constitution Party of Georgia (CPGA) Chairman Ricardo Davis is a plaintiff in the case that obtained the landmark ruling; no other political party had leadership that participated as plaintiffs in the lawsuit. It was the second federal election court win for CPGA plaintiffs in three years. CPGA plaintiffs participated in a successful ballot access lawsuit that reduced Presidential ballot access petitioning requirements by 85% in the 2016 election cycle.

The landmark ruling essentially reverses a 2008 Georgia Supreme Court decision where the court refused to apply a strict scrutiny legal standard to the Constitutional right to vote for Georgia voters. Davis and CPGA Elections Director Garland Favorito where plaintiffs in that case.

The ruling Thursday came as no surprise to those who attended a July hearing that revealed the state had concealed key internet exposures and vulnerabilities from the court. Totenberg’s comments cited “inconsistent candor” by the defendants in “denial and dodging” of the “broad scale vulnerability” involving the 2017 internet breach of the election servers at Kennesaw State. She concluded: “the Defendants’ contention that the servers were … not intentionally destroyed or wiped is flatly not credible.”

Judge Totenberg’s ruling requires the state to implement a backup plan of hand marked paper ballots if the system replacing the current DRE system is not ready for the March Presidential Primary. WATCH: Georgia House Minority Leader Caught in a Hate Hoax

Georgia State Rep. and Minority Leader Erica Thomas (D) took to Twitter on Saturday, saying a white man called her “a lazy SOB” and that she needed to go back to where she came from because she had too many items in the express lane at the local Publix. . .

“I walked into Publix, I bought my three items. There were three checkout lanes. One was express, the other two were empty. I kept my tongue shut. I went to pay for my items in one of the empty lanes. This lady, I noticed, had about 20 items on the conveyer,” Sparkes explained. “I walked up to the two customer service associates from Publix, asked them what can be done in a nice manner and they said corporate policy [says] we cant do anything but you as a customer can say something.” . . .

“I said, ‘Ma’am, not to be rude,’ my exact first words, point at the sign, which shows it in the surveillance camera, which I’ve seen already, point at the sign, ’10 items or less.’ She berates me after that. I don’t remember exactly what she said, but on camera, she approached me, came towards me as I took a couple steps back. I said, ‘You’re selfish.’ She mentioned she was nine months pregnant and I told it didn’t matter in this case. It has no point on this case. There’s two empty lines. You don’t need to be in the express line.” . . .

According to Sparkes, the two exchanged words, at which point he said, “You’re a selfish little b**ch.” He said after he made the comment he walked out of the grocery store.

Professor’s Stance on Illegal Immigration Prompts Call for Firing

By Fox News. A college professor in Georgia is drawing criticism for his online comments about illegal immigrants, including his contention that people in the U.S. illegally can be a drain on the nation’s economy.

“If you are going to reward illegal immigrants, there will be more illegal immigrants,” Fang Zhou, an associate professor of history at Georgia Gwinnett College near Atlanta, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Zhou says he welcomes the criticism, including from those who say he should lose his job, according to the report.

“I am against political correctness,” Zhou, a legal immigrant from China, told the newspaper. “I speak truth to power in class and my students learn about the financial drain of illegal immigration on the economy and the high crime rates of illegal immigrants.

“My students are ‘woke’ and are overwhelmingly against illegal immigration after taking my class,” he added.

Texas Teacher Fired for Asking Trump on Twitter to Remove Illegal-Alien Students

By National Review. A high-school teacher in Texas was fired this week after asking President Trump for his assistance in removing illegal-immigrant students from her school, in what she thought were private tweets.

Georgia Clark, who taught English at the Carter-Riverside High School for 20 years, was fired on Tuesday after eight members of the school board voted unanimously in favor of her termination. The vote came three weeks after Clark asked the president to deport students she believed to be in the country illegally.

“Mr. President, Fort Worth Independent School District is loaded with illegal students from Mexico,” Clark wrote May 17 on her now-deleted Twitter account, @Rebecca1939.

“Anything you can do to remove the illegals from Fort Worth would be greatly appreciated,” she wrote in another tweet.

A copy of the school board’s review of Clark’s conduct, obtained by the Washington Post, shows that she believed she was communicating privately with the president when she sent the public tweets. Now Disney Wants to Boycott Georgia

By Daily Wire. On Wednesday, CEO of the Walt Disney Co. Bob Iger signaled a pull-out in Georgia over the state’s new “heartbeat” legislation, which bans abortion after unborn babies’ heartbeats are detected (around six-weeks gestation). . .

“I think many people who work for us will not want to work there, and we will have to heed their wishes in that regard. Right now we are watching it very carefully,” the CEO continued.

“I don’t see how it’s practical for us to continue to shoot there” if the law goes into effect, Iger added.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, signed the pro-life bill into law on May 7, ignoring threats of a Hollywood boycott spearheaded by actress Alyssa Milano. In March, some 50 actors signed onto a letter penned by the abortion activist to Georgia House Speaker David Ralston and the governor threatening a boycott. Georgia has become a magnet for Hollywood projects in large part due to the state’s 30% tax rebate for film and TV production.

Undeterred, Kemp praised the legislation as “a declaration that all life has value, that all life matters, and that all life is worthy of protection.” (Read more from “Now Disney Wants to Boycott Georgia” HERE)

WarnerMedia Joins Disney and Netflix in Considering Georgia Retreat over Abortion Law

By Deadline. A day after Disney CEO Bob Iger said it would be “difficult” for the media giant to produce TV shows and films in Georgia given its strict new abortion law, WarnerMedia has said it will also pull out of the law survives legal challenges.

“We operate and produce work in many states and within several countries at any given time and while that doesn’t mean we agree with every position taken by a state or a country and their leaders, we do respect due process,” the company said in a statement provided to Deadline. “We will watch the situation closely and if the new law holds we will reconsider Georgia as the home to any new productions. As is always the case, we will work closely with our production partners and talent to determine how and where to shoot any given project.” (Read more from “WarnerMedia Joins Disney and Netflix in Considering Georgia Retreat over Abortion Law” HERE)

WATCH: Georgia Rep Asks Question That Triggers Alyssa Milano

Actress and progressive activist Alyssa Milano has been all over the news this week, largely thanks to her efforts to thwart a Georgia bill that would ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected. After getting dozens of her Hollywood colleagues to join her in threatening Georgia with a film industry boycott if the abortion bill goes through, Milano appeared in the Georgia statehouse on Tuesday to protest in person.

One particular moment from Milano’s legislative protest that was caught on video by a statehouse reporter has gotten some attention online: Republican State Rep. Dominic LaRiccia asked Milano a question about residency that prompted a rather tense exchange, ending with the actress declaring that LaRiccia was one of the people “trying to vote on what is going on inside my uterus.”

Milano’s protest targets the state’s “LIFE (Living Infants Fairness and Equality) Act” (H.B. 481), which states: “It shall be the policy of the State of Georgia to recognize the presence of a fetal heartbeat as the point of ‘fetal viability,’ creating a compelling state interest to protect ‘the independent essence of the second life’ as an ‘object of state protection’ from abortion,” and to “recognize unborn children as natural persons.” The bill would also not allow an abortion to be performed unless a physician has tested for a heartbeat. Abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected is barred except if a the pregnancy is medically futile, the mother is at serious physical risk, or in cases of rape or incest. . .

On Tuesday, Milano led about 30 fellow protesters to the statehouse to make sure her voice was heard. It was while she was there that LaRiccia turned to the actress and asked, “What district of Georgia do you vote in?”

“I don’t vote in Georgia, but there is 30 people outside that do vote in Georgia that I was going to escort in,” she replied.

‘Unplanned’ Star Obliterates Alyssa Milano on Pro-Life Bill

Ashley Bratcher, star of the recently-released anti-abortion movie “Unplanned,” wrote a response to actress Alyssa Milano after Milano suggested that Hollywood might boycott Georgia over a bill banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Bratcher, who plays former Planned Parenthood executive turned pro-life advocate Abby Johnson in the movie, was nearly aborted herself and resides in Georgia, so she has some strong feelings on the topic.

“Well Alyssa, let me make something very clear to you,” Milano wrote. “In Georgia, we care just as much about being pro-life as being pro-film. We don’t believe in putting a price tag on the value of a human life. Our brave leaders have stepped up to say enough is enough, we will no longer sit idly by as innocent lives are taken by the thousands each day.” . . .

Milano attacked the bill as “the most anti-woman bill of its kind in the country” in a guest column for Deadline Hollywood, and suggested that if the bill passes, Georgia could lose some of the many film and television projects that boost its economy.

“To Georgia’s leaders: You have worked hard to showcase your state and bring in filming projects that have had a multiplier impact on your state’s economy, but these projects are not a given,” Milano wrote. “I urge you to think hard before making Georgia a state that is not welcoming of women. I urge you to defeat HB 481 and continue to be “The Hollywood of the South.” (Read more from “‘Unplanned’ Star Obliterates Alyssa Milano on Pro-Life Bill” HERE)

Mother Accused of Making up 5-Year-Old’s Illness to Collect Disability Checks

By Breitbart. A Georgia mother was arrested Thursday for fabricating her five-year-old son’s illness to obtain disability checks, authorities said.

Investigators arrested Teresa Lynne Roth, 34, on Thursday after she spent nearly two years forcing her son to take 28 medications and medical treatments for nonexistent medical conditions, the Associated Press reported. . .

The case began in 2016, when doctors at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta were treating the child, who was three years old at the time, for several medical conditions which investigators say were fabricated.

Health care workers then alerted the Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFCS) and local authorities. DFCS removed the child from Roth’s home in October 2018, and authorities investigated Roth.

Authorities arrested Roth, who faces charges of first-degree child cruelty. (Read more from “Mother Accused of Making up 5-Year-Old’s Illness to Collect Disability Checks” HERE)

Mom Accused of Faking 5-Year-Old Son’s Illness for Disability Checks

By Boston 25 News. Investigators say Teresa Lynne Roth, 34, of Hall County, made her 5-year-old son take 28 unnecessary medications and undergo unnecessary medical treatments for nearly two years.

Roth’s son was on numerous medications, in a wheelchair and on a feeding tube as his parents drew disability checks on his behalf, according to police. Investigators say the boy was not sick and Roth’s actions jeopardized his well-being.

The case started back in 2016 when the boy was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Doctors were treating the then 3-year-old boy for several illnesses, that investigators now say were all made up. When health care officials became suspicious of the mother, they alerted the Department of Family and Children’s Services. DFCS removed the boy from the home in October 2018 and called the Sheriff’s Office. (Read more from “Mom Accused of Faking 5-Year-Old Son’s Illness for Disability Checks” HERE)

Woman Spends Months in Jail After Lab Finds Meth in Car. It Was Actually Cotton Candy.

. . .Dasha Fincher was pulled over on New Year’s Eve 2016 for her tinted windows — which the officers later admitted were perfectly legal. Fincher said Monroe deputies Cody Maples and Allen Henderson noticed an open plastic bag in her car and assumed the worst, even though she told them it was just blue cotton candy.

Side note: For you “Breaking Bad” fans out there (maybe the cops were fans, too?) but blue meth isn’t actually a real thing. As close to pure as Walter White made his famous meth, the impurities would actually give it a yellow tinge.

But having a blue substance in a clear plastic bag still gave off alarm bells, so the deputies tested the bag with a roadside field test. They claimed the bag tested positive for methamphetamine, and Fincher was “arrested and charged with meth trafficking and possession [of] meth with intent to distribute,” according to Macon, Geogia, CBS affiliate 13WMAZ. Her bond was set at $1 million, and she spent months in jail because she couldn’t pay the cash bond.

Finally, in March 2017, a more comprehensive lab test came back and determined that the substance was not an illegal drug. Another four weeks passed before the charges against Fincher were dropped. . .

“Fincher’s lawsuit argues that the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was reckless and negligent and violated her civil rights,” 13WMAZ reported. “The suit said the test was manufactured by Sirchie Acquisitions, a company based in North Carolina. The test, called Nark II, has a history of false positive test results, the suit says.” (Read more from “Woman Spends Months in Jail After Lab Finds Meth in Car. It Was Actually Cotton Candy.” HERE)
