Burning EU and Other Flags Can Now Bring German Jail Term

Germany has made public burning of the EU flag or that of another country punishable by up to three years in jail, classing it as a hate crime.

The vote in the Bundestag (parliament) on Thursday makes defiling foreign flags equal to the crime of defiling the German flag. . .

The move followed Social Democrat (SPD) complaints about protesters’ burning of the Israeli flag in Berlin in 2017.

Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht, a member of the centre-left SPD, said “burning flags publicly has nothing to do with peaceful protests”. Germany’s Low Coronavirus Mortality Rate Intrigues Experts; Germany Bans Gatherings of More Than 2 to Contain Coronavirus Outbreak

Germany’s relatively low mortality rate continues to intrigue experts as Covid-19 spreads across Europe, with some questioning the methodology behind its data gathering while others argue the country’s high testing rates allow a more accurate approximation of the threat posed by the novel coronavirus.

While the pandemic has hit Germany with full force, with Johns Hopkins University noting 22,364 confirmed infections by Sunday morning, only 84 people are so far reported to have died.

This means Germany currently has the lowest mortality rate of the 10 countries most severely hit by the pandemic: 0.3% compared with 9% in Italy and 4.6% in the UK.

The contrast with Italy is especially surprising because the two countries have the highest percentage of citizens aged 65 or over in Europe. If anything, the Bloomberg Global Health Index would suggest Italians have a healthier lifestyle than Germans.

German politicians and senior health officials have been reluctant to comment on the low mortality rate while the situation is developing so rapidly. Lothar Wieler, the president of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the government’s central public health body, has said he does not expect there to be a significant difference in mortality rates between Italy and Germany in the long run. Germany Bans Gatherings of More Than 2 to Contain Coronavirus Outbreak

By Fox News. Germany took drastic action Sunday to slow the spread of the coronavirus as the European Union country banned public gatherings of more than two people.

Only families and people sharing a home are exempt from the stringent action, Chancellor Angela Merkel said, according to Bloomberg News.

“No one wants to stand before the people and discuss such rules,” Merkel said at a news conference in Berlin after a video conference with regional leaders, according to the news outlet.

Poll: Germans Believe Trump Is More Dangerous Than Kim Jong Un

A poll of Germans found that more believed President Donald Trump to be a threat to world peace than Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, or leaders of North Korea, and Iran.

The YouGov poll surveyed 2,000 Germans between the time period of December 16 and 18.

41 percent of those polled said Trump was the greatest threat to world peace.

Only 17 percent said North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un was a greater threat.

8 percent of those polled said Putin was the greatest threat, and another 8 percent said Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was the greatest threat. 7 percent said Chinese President Xi Jinping was the greatest threat. Globalist Insanity: German Supreme Court Rules Anti-Child Marriage Law Unconstitutional

The Federal Supreme Court of Germany ruled earlier this month that child marriage is constitutional so long as it takes place prior to entering the country. . .

“In the specific case, it was about a Syrian refugee couple, who had fled in August 2015 over the Balkan route because of the war to Germany,” reports the outlet. “The couple had previously been legally married on 10 February 2015 in a Syrian Sharia court. The husband was 21 years old on his wedding day, his wife was at the age of 14.”

Upon immigrating to Germany from Syria, the couple was separated following registration in the Schweinfurt facility. The 14-year-old girl had been placed in a youth welfare facility for female underage refugees; her appointed guardian was the Aschaffenburg youth welfare office. Her 21-year-old husband had no contact with her and was not even informed of her whereabouts.

The Gatestone Institute reports that a family court in Aschaffenburg ruled against the husband after he filed suit; a Bamberg appeals court later overturned that ruling in 2016. Alarmed by the obvious consequences, the German parliament passed legislation in 2017 banning child marriages after German Interior Ministry revealed in 2016 that “1,475 married children — including 361 children under the age of 14 — were known to be living in Germany as of July 31, 2016.” . . .

The Federal Supreme Court has now ruled that law unconstitutional, arguing that it violates Germany’s Basic Law. Future child marriages will be examined on a case-by-case basis and will no longer be given a blanket ban. The court stated that the ban on child marriage violates Articles 1 (human dignity), 2 (free development of personality), 3 (equal protection) and 6 (protection of marriage and family) of the Basic Law, which serves as the German constitution. U.S. Ambassador to Germany Responds to Ocasio-Cortez Comparing Nazis to Global Warming

U.S. Ambassador To Germany Richard Grenell slammed Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Monday after she compared Nazi Germany to global warming in a recent speech.

Grenell’s comments on Fox News’ “FOX & Friends” came after Ocasio-Cortez said at a campaign event on Friday that the blueprint the United States used to defeat Nazi Germany is the same blueprint that needs to be used to defeat global warming.

“It’s never okay, it’s never acceptable to minimize the Holocaust and the murder of six million Jews,” Grenell said. “Just note to anyone who is speaking publicly — never compare it to anything because nothing can be as horrific as 11 million people, six million Jews murdered.”

“So we talk about existential threats, the last time we had a really major existential threat to this country was around World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday. “And so we’ve been here before and we have a blueprint of doing this before.”

“None of these things are new ideas,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “What we had was an existential threat in the context of a war. We had a direct existential threat with another nation, this time it was Nazi Germany, and axis, who explicitly made the United States as an enemy, as an enemy.”

Merkel Gives In: German Chancellor Agrees to Tighten Immigration Policies

After facing push-back over her long-held open-door policies that have allowed hundreds of thousands of immigrants into her country, German Chancellor Angela Merkel gave in on Monday. . .

Merkel needed to make a deal in order to stay in power. Interior Minister and coalition government ally Horst Seehofer threatened to resign his post if Merkel didn’t budge.

A day before Monday’s agreement was reached, Seehofer told the press: “I will not be dismissed by a chancellor who is only chancellor because of me.”

Following two days of negotiations, Merkels’ Christian Democtratic Union party and Seehofer’s Christian Social Union made a deal that Merkel referred to as a “really good compromise.” . . .

Violent Crime Is Surging in Germany – Their Solution Will Leave You Speechless

Refugees are causing a major problem in Germany; the situation is getting so bad that mainstream media outlets can no longer ignore it. Now a new report shows that migrants are almost solely responsible for the country’s rise in violent crime . . .

The most insane part of the German government’s report was the solution that they offered to fix the problem. According to Reuters:

The study said reuniting refugees with their families by allowing them to come to Germany too could help to reduce violence. Such reunions look set to be a particularly contentious issue in talks about a new coalition government.

It is not difficult to understand why women avoid these young male migrants as Germany had to install rape-free zones for the most recent New Year’s Eve celebrations after a series of horrifying sexual attacks by migrants occurred a couple of years ago. German Army ‘Plans Break up of E.U.’ in War Game

The German army has war-gamed the break up of the European Union in study of security crises that could face the country by 2040.

Military planners in Berlin played out a scenario in which a growing number of countries follow Britain in leaving the EU, resulting in an “increasingly disorderly” world, Der Spiegel reported.

“The EU enlargement has been largely abandoned, more states have left the bloc,” strategists wrote in a study cited by the magazine.

“The increasingly disorderly, sometimes chaotic and conflictual world has dramatically changed the security policy environment for Germany and Europe.”

Air Berlin Plane Makes Strange Maneuver, Sparks German Safety Probe

German air safety officials are demanding answers from bankrupt carrier Air Berlin after one of the company’s pilots aborted his landing close to the runway on Monday to execute a low pass around the Duesseldorf Airport’s control tower.

Videos of the incident show the plane appearing to set down for a landing before it tilts sharply to the left and flies around the control tower. The Airbus A330 flight, carrying about 200 passengers, was Air Berlin’s last known transatlantic journey, according to The Local.

A Federal Aviation Office spokesman said Tuesday that it is not unusual for pilots to abort landings when necessary. The company also said in a statement that the maneuver was agreed upon with the airport’s flight control center and that no passengers made a complaint after the aircraft landed safely. While Christianity Dies in Germany, Islam Springs up in It’s Place

There are about 47 million Catholics and Protestants combined in Germany, representing roughly 60 percent of the German population, but that number is falling by 500,000 a year through deaths alone, according to the Gatestone Institute . . .

In the year 2016 alone, the German Catholic Church lost 162,093 faithful attendees and closed 537 parishes, according to data from the German Bishops’ Conference. One quarter of all German Catholic communities that existed in 1996 have now closed . . .

While Christianity is dying in Germany, Islam is on the rise. Historian Walter Laqueur wrote that Germany had about 700 “little mosques and prayer rooms” in the 1980s but “more than 2,500 at the present time” – and that was in 2009. Christian Student, 17, Is Beaten to Death by Muslim Classmates After Drinking From the Same Glass as One of Them

By Gareth Davies. A Christian teenager has been beaten to death by his classmates for drinking from the same glass as a Muslim.

High-flying Sharoon Masih, 17, was battered by fellow students in a classroom in the Vehari District in Punjab, Pakistan, on just his fourth day at a new school.

Shockingly, the boy’s teacher was in the room when the brutal attack took place, but claims he didn’t see anything because he was reading a newspaper.

Sharoon’s parents had saved money to send their son to MC Model Boys Government High School Burewala and District Vehari in an attempt to pursue higher education.
