Man Dressed as Santa Opens Fire on Halloween Party

By Dave Brooks. Friends in Texas were gathered for a night of Halloween fun Sunday when a guest dressed as Santa Claus opened fire, critically wounding a man and a woman, police said . . .

Partygoers claim the Santa Claus shot at them and fled the scene after attending the party for some time, the Austin Statesman reported. Police later arrested the suspect at a second location where the alleged shooter come in contact with a group of people but did not become violent, according to ABC affiliate WWSB.

Police Officer Under Fire After Trolling Colin Kaepernick for Halloween

By Ford Springer. A police officer from the University of Nevada — Colin Kaepernick’s alma mater — dressed as the former NFL quarterback for Halloween and leftists are up in arms about it.

A photo of Officer Antonio Gutierrez began circulating on social media on Monday mostly thanks to Twitter users who found the spoof costume offensive. In it, Gutierrez is seen wearing a makeshift Kaepernick jersey, a fake nose, an afro and a “will stand for food” sign.

The costume is a clear shot at the former NFL player’s national anthem protest, which he began to protest America’s alleged oppression of racial minorities. The protest eventually transformed into an argument over patriotism and respect for the flag and our military, which Kaepernick now blames for his continued unemployment. School Cancels Halloween, Decides to Celebrate ‘Black and Orange Day’ Instead

A Massachusetts elementary school decided to cancel its Halloween costume parade since it is not inclusive for all students involved, outlets reported Tuesday.

Instead of the costume parade, the school in Walpole will throw a “Black and Orange” spirit day, Boyden Elementary School officials announced.

“The costume parade is out of our ordinary routine and can be difficult for many students,” the school principal said in a message to parents. “Also, the parade is not inclusive of all the students and it is our goal each and every day to ensure all student’s individual differences are respected.”

The school will also host a Halloween party Friday, the “Monster Mash Pasta Bash,” after school so the students can have the chance to celebrate with their friends. (Read more from “School Cancels Halloween, Decides to Celebrate ‘Black and Orange Day’ Instead” HERE)

This Is What a Pharmacy ‘Accidentally’ Gave to Children on Halloween

A worker at a Canadian pharmacy accidentally gave out out bipolar medication to trick-or-treaters instead of candy, according to a report.

The mix-up unfolded after a woman unknowingly dropped her 17-year-old son’s prescription drugs while on her way out of a Beauport pharmacy.

Another customer picked up the medication — Quetiapine and Divalproex sodium, both of which are used to treat schizophrenia as well as other psychological disorders — and placed it dangerously close to the candy basket on the counter.

“So – unfortunately – we don’t know how – an employee just mixed it with the candy by accident and distributed it to the kids,” a Quebec City police spokesperson told the Daily Star. (Read more from “This Is What a Pharmacy ‘Accidentally’ Gave to Children on Halloween” HERE)

University Students Hit ‘Racist’ Halloween Costumes

A group of students from Ohio University has drawn national attention for a poster campaign denouncing what they see as racist Halloween costumes.

Each poster in the series shows an Ohio University student of a different ethnicity holding a photograph of an offensive costume. An Asian girl holds an image of someone dressed up as a geisha. A Mexican boy holds a photo of someone in a sombrero, colorful poncho and exaggerated mustache riding a stuffed donkey . . .

Each poster has two sentences on it: “We’re a culture, not a costume.” And “This is not who I am, and this is not okay.”

The posters were created by a 10-student group called STARS, Students Teaching Against Racism. The group’s president is Sarah Williams, 24, a senior majoring in political science. She told ABCNews.com she has been shocked by the amount of attention the posters have garnered, but is happy that they have started a national conversation.

“We wanted to highlight these offensive costumes because we’ve all seen them,” Williams said. “We just wanted to say, ‘Hey, this is not cool. This is offensive and this shouldn’t be taken lightly.’ It’s offending a culture and people should be aware.” (Read more from “University Students Hit ‘Racist’ Halloween Costumes” HERE)

Look: The Bizarre Image of ‘Donald Trump’ That’s Taking the Internet by Storm

The “Trumpkin” has become a novelty hit for front porch decorating this Halloween season, with the largest known one sitting outside the home of an Ohio woman.

Jeanette Paras, of Dublin, Ohio, is a pumpkin artist who tries to come up with a clever pop culture idea to use every Halloween. She has “pumpkinized” singer Miley Cyrus, Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” fame, Lady Gaga and Monica Lewinsky. Last year, she painted the face of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on a pumpkin.

She’s also painted the faces of politicians, including Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, on pumpkins for her display at various times in the past. This year, Paras opted to paint the face of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Paras went huge for the project and used a 374-pound pumpkin, according to WJW in Cleveland. It was a tedious job, with Paras describing how she first sketched the design on paper and then transferred it to the pumpkin. The famous Trump hairstyle wasn’t easy to achieve either, she said.

“He required six, 38-inch blond wings,” Paras said. (Read more from “Look: The Bizarre Image of ‘Donald Trump’ That’s Taking the Internet by Storm” HERE)

These Halloween Costumes Are Considered ‘Racist’ to This Raunchy Television Station [+video]

MTV released a video (below) on Oct. 21 telling people not to dress their children in certain Halloween costumes that the cable channel deemed “racist,” and, in the same video, mocked white people.

In the video, adults note the historical inaccuracies of the inexpensive “racist” costumes: “Little Amigo,” “China Boy” (which was manufactured in China), “Arabian Sultan,” “Little Geisha,” “Indian Brave,” “Indian Girl,” “Toddler Jade Harem,” “Gypsy Fortune Teller,” “Kid’s Mac Daddy Pimp,” and “Child Rasta.”

When the “Confederate Officer” costume comes up, one woman states, “Finally, a costume where white people are dressing like their own race, and somehow it’s more offensive.” (Read more from “These Halloween Costumes Are Considered ‘Racist’ to This Raunchy Television Station” HERE)

Video: Obama-Style Halloween With Hidden Camera

In this very funny video, conservative comedian Steven Crowder uses a hidden camera to demonstrate the innate unfairness of the redistributive policies of the Obama administration.

As children surround him, he takes candy from children with more and gives it to children with less. The kids are outraged. As they should be.

Crowder even manages to throw a “you didn’t build that” line at one of the children.

Lest anyone forget where Obama is on redistribution of wealth, here’s his famous statement to Joe the Plumber back in 2008:

“My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody. If you’ve got a plumbing business, you’re gonna be better off if you’re gonna be better off if you’ve got a whole bunch of customers who can afford to hire you, and right now everybody’s so pinched that business is bad for everybody and I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.

And there are many, many other examples of this Obama philosophy. But it’s a philosophy fully rejected by our youngest generation:

Video: NBC News Now Using Halloween Mask Sales to Predict Obama Win

Now that all of the polling nationwide is showing Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney in the lead, NBC has turned to the scientific “Halloween mask sales” statistic to predict a President Barrack Obama reelection. Seriously.

The only problem is, the NBC Today Show relied on statistics that are at least three weeks old.

St. Louis Zoo Removes Halloween Ghost Display Because of Racism Complaints

Complaints Tuesday on the St. Louis Zoo Facebook page prompted the Zoo to remove a Halloween display that some complained smacked of racism.

Life size ghostly figures with black faces were hung from tall trees by the bear pits as part of the annual “Boo at the Zoo” Halloween celebration. The nighttime Halloween event opens Friday and the display was designed to produce a faceless image in the dark.

Wyndel Hill, St. Louis Zoo Vice President for Internal Affairs, said, “The faces are black so that at night the lights inside the faces would be the only thing that you see.” He said it was never the Zoo’s intent to offend anyone.

“I don’t know that it looks derogatory towards anyone, by the same token however, if someone is offended by it, it touches our sensibilities and we’ll remove it.”

Visitors to the Zoo on Tuesday generally liked the spooky display and did not see it as a lynching scene. But the still photo on the internet showed the figures hanging lifelessly from tree branches.

Video: Nancy Pelosi Stars in Animal Sacrifice Ritual in New Attack Ad

In what some have suggested is a “new political low,” Nancy Pelosi’s Republican opponent John Dennis has cut an ad placing Nancy Pelosi in a dark cavern with a bunch of zombies in an apparent satanic ritualistic animal sacrifice.

Dennis shows up in the nick of time, saves the “sacrificial lamb,” and confronts Pelosi.

Obviously, the satirical production was made in anticipation of Halloween.

Chris Burgard, the producer of Herman Cain’s “Smoking Man” video, created this “Night of the Living Pelosi.”
