Videos: Mother of Slain State Department Worker Blows Whistle on Obama Administration for Telling “Outright Lies” About Benghazi Killings

In the following interview between CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Pat Smith, the mother of State Department employee, veteran Sean Smith, claims she talked to Clinton, Obama, and Biden about the murder of her son.

Here’s part of the transcript of the interview (the video is below) where Ms. Smith states that she pleaded with Obama, Clinton and Biden to tell her what happened to her son:

SMITH: [I told them,] “Please, tell me what happened. Just, just tell me what happened. Please, don’t give me any baloney. I don’t want political stuff. Just tell me the truth. What happened…” I look at TV and I see bloody hand prints on walls thinking, my G-d, is that my son’s? I don’t know if he was shot, I don’t know, I don’t know. They haven’t told me anything. They’re still studying it. And the things that they are telling me are outright lies. That Susan Rice, she talked to me personally and she said, she said, “This is the way it was, it was because of this film that came out.”

CNN: So she told you personally that she thought it was a result of the video of the protest.

SMITH: Oh, absolutely. In fact, all of them did. All of them did. Leon Panetta actually took my face in his hands like this and he said, “Trust me. I will tell you what happened.” And, so far, he’s told me nothing. Nothing at all. And I want to know.

CNN: It’s important for you to know all of the details no matter how horrible …

SMITH: Yes.

CNN: … no matter how tough they are to hear.

SMITH: Exactly. I told them if it’s such a secret thing fine, take me in another room, whisper in my ear what happened so that I know and we’ll go from there. But no … At first i was so proud because they were treating me so nice when I went to that reception … I cried on Obama’s shoulder, and then he kind of looked off into the distance, so that was worthless to me. I want to know, for G-d’s sakes. Or for Allah’s sake, or for whoever’s sake is there.

CNN: You deserve answers.

SMITH: I think so. I believe I do. I believe it. It is my son. I had him — I told Obama personally, I said look, I had him for his first 17 years and then he went into the service, then you got him. And, I won’t say it the way I said it. But I said, “You screwed up, you didn’t do a good job, I lost my son.” And they said, “We’ll get back to you. I promise, I promise you, I will get back to you…” They would at least acknowledge that I have a right to know something, something other than, “Oh, we are checking up on it.” Or, “Trust me,” I like that one the best of all: “Trust me, I will let you know.” Well, I don’t trust you anymore. I don’t trust you anymore…

Ms. Smith’s concerns about the Obama Administration’s lies were echoed by Representative Trey Gowdy who angrily asked at congressional hearings yesterday, “I want to know why we were lied to.”

Obama Admin. Rejected Security Request For Libya in May

ABC News has obtained an internal State Department email from May 3, 2012, indicating that the State Department denied a request from the security team at the Embassy of Libya to retain a DC-3 airplane in the country to better conduct their duties.

Copied on the email was U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was killed in a terrorist attack on the diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, Sept. 11, 2012, along with three other Americans. That attack has prompted questions about whether the diplomatic personnel in that country were provided with adequate security support.

No one has yet to argue that the DC-3 would have definitively made a difference for the four Americans killed that night. The security team in question, after all, left Libya in August.

But the question – both for the State Department, which is conducting an internal investigation, and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which is holding hearings next week – is whether officials in Washington, D.C., specifically at the State Department, were as aware as they should have been about the deteriorating security situation in Libya, and whether officials were doing everything they could to protect Americans in that country.

Earlier this week, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and another member of the committee wrote to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton listing 13 incidents leading up to the attack, ranging from IED and RPG attacks to a “posting on a pro-Gaddafi Facebook page” publicizing early morning runs taken by the late Ambassador Stevens and his security detail around Tripoli.

Whistleblowers: Benghazi Consulate Was Attacked 13 Times Before 9/11, Repeatedly Asked for More Security

Two House Republicans say they have been informed by whistleblowers that the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was attacked and threatened 13 times before the incident last month that killed four Americans.

Reps. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) and Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) sent Secretary of State Hillary Clinton a letter on Tuesday that detailed the whistleblowers’ allegations.

“Based on information provided to the Committee by individuals with direct knowledge of events in Libya, the attack that claimed the ambassador’s life was the latest in a long line of attacks on Western diplomats and officials in Libya in the months leading up to September 11, 2012,” Issa and Chaffetz wrote. “It was clearly never, as Administration officials once insisted, the result of a popular protest.”

The congressmen said the consulate asked for more security to deal with the growing threat but was turned down by the administration.

“In addition, multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi. The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington.”

US Consulate in Libya Bombed Twice in Run-Up to 9/11 Attack, Ambassador Known Target (+video)

Photo Credit: B.R.Q.In the five months leading up to this year’s 9/11 anniversary, there were two bombings on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and increasing threats to and attacks on the Libyan nationals hired to provide security at the U.S. missions in Tripoli and Benghazi.

Details on these alleged incidents stem in part from the testimony of a handful of whistleblowers who approached the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in the days and weeks following the attack on the Benghazi consulate. The incidents are disclosed in a letter to be sent Tuesday to Hillary Clinton from Rep. Darrell Issa, the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Rep. Jason Chaffetz, the chairman of the oversight committee’s subcommittee that deals with national security.

The State Department did not offer comment on the record last night.

The new information disclosed in the letter obtained by The Daily Beast strongly suggests the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and the late Ambassador Chris Stevens were known by U.S. security personnel to be targets for terrorists. Indeed, the terrorists made their threats openly on Facebook.

Is this Really What America Wants?

On Wednesday U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton finally admitted al Qaeda in North Africa was behind the terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, where the American ambassador and three others were murdered.

Clinton’s statements further muddied the administration’s fumbled explanations about exactly what happened on Sept. 11. For purely partisan political reasons, Barack Obama’s administration has denied terrorist involvement in the Benghazi attack.

To ever admit that the United States is still involved in fighting a war against al Qaeda flies in the face of Obama’s re-election campaign strategy of showcasing the killing Osama bin Laden and the debilitation of Al Qaeda.

Remember Vice President Joe Biden shouting from the Democratic National Convention stage: “Osama bin Laden is dead and GM is alive”?

To hear “progressive” politicians and their obedient sock puppets in the “progressive” Party Pravda tell it, to put two and two together and reason that al Qaeda had access to technology which allowed them to watch the DNC convention, hear what was said and plot a 9/11 revenge is angry, bigoted, conspiratorial racist hate speech from violent right wing extremists who cannot stand having a black man in the Oval Office.

It could not possibly have anything to do with the fact that his domestic and foreign policies can be defined as “man caused disasters”.

While taking care of extremely important, top priority re-election business on a daytime television talk show, Obama cautioned the ladies that describing the incident was impossible due to an ongoing FBI investigation. However, more than two weeks after the fact, FBI agents are still not in Benghazi, much less at the crime scene conducting an investigation.

The more America learns about the 9/11 terrorist attack on the Benghazi consulate, the more it looks like a complete security failure and a calculated government cover-up.

This foreign policy sleight of hand deceit matches the consistent pattern of “evolving” economic news at home.

The latest economic reports reveal that second quarter GDP growth was revised down from 1.7 percent to 1.25 percent. New orders for U.S. manufactured durable goods fell in August by the most in 3-1/2 years, the biggest drop since January 2009. This clearly indicates a sharp slowdown in factory activity.

Fear that Washington will fail to reach an agreement and avoid the “fiscal cliff” has reduced businesses incentive to boost production.

From Benghazi to an Ohio manufacturing facility, the strategy and tactics are always the same. Make the news sound better that it is then enlist your multiple press secretaries within the “mainstream media” to put that “ news” on the front page of the paper, make it a magazine cover story, or put it on as breaking news television.

When far fewer people are paying attention, have those same media minions disclose the truth in a far less prominent place and in a far less spectacular manner.

Welcome to Obama’s America. Is this really what America wants?

White House Caving to Islamic Blasphemy Agenda, Free Speech is Targeted Next

For the past two weeks, the American people have been encouraged by Team Obama — official representatives of the administration, its champions in the press and other partisans — to believe a number of national security calumnies that can be described only as surrealistically epic and dangerous deceptions. Far more than the usual political sleight of hand that can be expected in the run-up to an election, the mendacity of Team Obama is truly audacious, and the consequences of the public accepting it at face value are grave.

Take, for example, President Obama’s insistence that the surging violence in dozens of countries is a “natural” response by Muslims to a video produced in America that trashes Islam’s Prophet Muhammad. One can scarcely find an official or press account of these events that does not start with something to the effect that the attacks were precipitated by that (almost entirely unviewed) short film.

There are several things wrong with this proposition. First, in some places — notably Libya, where an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi resulted in the brutal killing of the American ambassador and three others assigned to that mission — there is no evidence that the film was even a pretext, let alone the real reason for what was, in fact, a disciplined, coordinated and successful act of jihad. In others, it was simply the latest excuse by Islamists to incite crowds to violence, just as Danish cartoons, burned Korans, a speech by the pope and defiled Afghan corpses have been at one time or another.

What this latest campaign of deceit by Team Obama is meant to obscure is its own national security malpractice, namely a dogged refusal to face the reality that America is at war with an enemy that it has been unwilling to name, has failed to counter and is actually emboldening. Such behavior has signaled to jihadists seeking to impose on the rest of us the totalitarian ideology they call Shariah that acts of violence — or even threats of violence — against us will be met with accommodations and concessions whenever the stated justification is outrage over some perceived insult to Islam.

The Obama administration has committed to engage in, as Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton put it, “old-fashioned techniques of peer pressure and shaming” to discourage such offensive behavior. This is but a milestone along the trajectory of the White House’s acquiescence to the Shariah blasphemy agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood’s state-level counterpart, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Hillary Clinton’s Spokesman Sends Profanity-Laced Email to Reporter

On Sunday morning, BuzzFeed correspondent Michael Hastings emailed Philippe Reines, Hillary Clinton’s longtime aide and personal spokesman at the State Department, asking a series of pointed questions about State’s handling of the Benghazi fiasco, and Reines’ over-the-top attack on CNN. The emails quickly got personal, with Reines calling Hastings an “unmitigated a**hole” before an exchange of harsh words on both sides.

The email chain concluded with Reines writing that Hastings should “F**k Off” and “Have a good life.”

US Senate Votes 81 to 10 to Reject Limits on Aid to Pakistan, Libya, and Egypt (+video)

This past weekend, the United States Senate voted 81 to 10 to reject Senator Rand Paul’s effort to limit financial aid to Pakistan, Libya, and Egypt until the countries surrender the individuals responsible for the recent attacks against US interests within their borders.

In urging passage of this foreign aid limitation, Senator Paul criticized Hillary Clinton’s efforts to award more aid to Egypt despite the nation’s vehemently anti-American actions over the last several months. He also slammed other anti-US actions taken by these supposed allies.

The following is a video of Senator Paul’s speech on the Senate floor. I recommend you skip the first 3:45 of the video:

And, in case you were wondering, Alaska’s Senators Murkowski and Begich voted against any limits on Pakistan’s, Libya’s, and Egypt’s foreign aid. All other Senators’ voting records appear HERE, too.

US Buys Advertising on Pakistani National TV to Broadcast Obama Denouncing Anti-Muslim Video

The US Embassy in Islamabad is spending $70,000 to run advertisements on Pakistani TV showing US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton denouncing an anti-Islam video that has sparked protests in many Muslim nations.

The American Embassy in Islamabad, in a bid to tamp down public rage over the anti-Islam film produced in the U.S., is spending $70,000 to air an ad on Pakistani television that features President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton denouncing the video.

The State Department said Thursday the embassy had compiled brief clips of Obama and Clinton rejecting the contents of the movie and extolling American tolerance for all religions into a 30-second public service announcement that is running on seven Pakistani networks. Obama and Clinton’s comments, which are from previous public events in Washington, are in English but subtitled in Urdu, the main Pakistani language.

Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the aim was to get the messages to the widest possible audience in Pakistan, where tens of thousands of protestors angry about the film tried to reach the U.S. embassy before being turned back by Pakistani police. She said embassy staffers had decided the ads were the best way to spread the word. The seven networks have a potential audience of 90 million people, she added.

“The sense was that this particular aspect of the president and the secretary’s message needed to be heard by more Pakistanis than had heard, and that this was an effective way to get that message out,” Nuland told reporters in Washington. The ads are not running in other countries, she said.

Hillary Clinton’s State Department Considered Sending Marines to Libya “Sometime in Next 5 Years”

Photo Credit: Foreign and Commonwealth Office Creative Commons

Prior to the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, the State Department and the Marines Corps had been discussing deploying Marines to guard the U.S. Embassy in the Libyan capital Tripoli “sometime in the next five years,” according to the Marine Corps.

The issue of security at U.S. diplomatic outposts in Libya has been front and center as Congress and others begin to investigate whether or not those facilities were sufficiently protected before the attacks that killed Amb. Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

The State Department won’t discuss the specifics of its security posture in Libya before the attack, but the Marine Corps has briefed congressional staffers on the issue, for example in a Sept. 13 email obtained by The Cable.

“Typically, when a new embassy is established, it takes time to grow a new [Marine Corps Embassy Security Group] detachment,” wrote Col. Harold Van Opdorp, director of the Marine Senate Liaison office, in the e-mail. “[In conjunction with] the State Department, there is discussion about establishing a detachment in Tripoli sometime in the next five years.”

The State Department did not respond to questions about how high the discussion of deploying Marines to Libya reached, whether that discussion amounted to a recognition that Marines were needed there, or why it might take five years to set it up. A Marine Corps FAST team was deployed to protect the embassy on Sept. 12 after the attack and could stay there indefinitely.
