Clinton Email Probe Enters New Phase as FBI Interviews Loom

By Del Quentin Wilber. Federal prosecutors investigating the possible mishandling of classified materials on Hillary Clinton’s private email server have begun the process of setting up formal interviews with some of her longtime and closest aides, according to two people familiar with the probe, an indication that the inquiry is moving into its final phases.

Those interviews and the final review of the case, however, could still take many weeks, all but guaranteeing that the investigation will continue to dog Clinton’s presidential campaign through most, if not all, of the remaining presidential primaries.

No dates have been set for questioning the advisors, but a federal prosecutor in recent weeks has called their lawyers to alert them that he would soon be doing so, the sources said. Prosecutors also are expected to seek an interview with Clinton herself, though the timing remains unclear.

The interviews by FBI agents and prosecutors will play a significant role in helping them better understand whether Clinton or her aides knowingly or negligently discussed classified government secrets over a non-secure email system when she served as secretary of State. FBI Says It Has Limited Records on Clinton Email Case

By Josh Gerstein. The FBI hasn’t traded any correspondence with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton or her representatives in the course of the law enforcement agency’s “active, ongoing investigation” of the private email account and server she used as secretary of state, an FBI official told a federal court on Friday.

Responding to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit for FBI records about the probe, which is believed to have been underway for about nine months, FBI records official David Hardy said his agency had only a smattering of correspondence with the State Department about the matter and no records at all of authorizations to discuss the Clinton email inquiry with the media or other outside parties.

The suit, filed by Vice News reporter Jason Leopold, also sought copies of all emails and other files the FBI has managed to retrieve from Clinton’s server and backup devices such as thumb drives. The FBI appeared to acknowledge that some such records exist but said releasing them at this time could impair the probe.

“Any records responsive [to that request] still cannot be disclosed without adversely affecting the pending investigation,” Hardy said in a written declaration. The FBI official wrote that he was limited in what he could say publicly about the inquiry, but he added that the agency was submitting a classified declaration to U.S. District Court Judge Randolph Moss with more details about the probe. GOP Congressman Suggests He Could Vote for Hillary Clinton

Republican Congressman Carlos Curbelo (Fla.) said Thursday he won’t ever support Donald Trump for president, and left the door open to voting for Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton instead.

“I think both Donald Trump and Mrs. Clinton are flawed candidates. If you look at the polls, the majority of Americans have negative views on both of them,” Curbelo told a CBS affiliate in Miami. “So I am going to wait and see what happens on our side. But I have already said I will not support Mr. Trump. That’s not a political decision; it is a moral decision.”

Asked point blank if that means he’d vote for Clinton over Trump if it came down to it, Curbelo kept it vague.

“Not necessarily,” he said. (Read more from “GOP Congressman Suggests He Could Vote for Hillary Clinton” HERE)

Hillary Wants to Reveal Area 51 Secrets

Hillary Clinton says barring any national security risk, she would like to open up the government files on Area 51 to the public if she is elected president.

“I would like us to go into those files and hopefully make as much of that public as possible,” she told Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night on his late night ABC talk show. “If there’s nothing there, let’s tell people there’s nothing there.”

When Kimmel followed up by asking what she would do if she discovered there was actually something alarming in the files, Clinton replied: “Well, if there is something there, unless it’s a threat to national security, I think we ought to share it with the public.” (Read more from “Hillary Wants to Reveal Area 51 Secrets” HERE)

Now Members of GOP Establishment Saying They’re Open to Support Hillary If Trump Is the Nominee

Members of the GOP foreign policy establishment are open to supporting Ted Cruz or even Hillary Clinton for president if that’s what it takes to prevent Donald Trump from becoming commander in chief.

In interviews with The Hill, prominent Republicans who signed a scathing open letter denouncing Trump said they aren’t wavering from their opposition to him.

“What’s happening is you have a lot of people who are desperate to get anybody in there other than Trump. … People are going to go for Cruz, because at the end of the day they think he’s considerably less bad than Trump,” said Eliot A. Cohen, a former adviser to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who also served in the George W. Bush administration.

Cohen, along with Bryan McGrath, organized an open letter opposing Trump that was signed by more than 120 members of the Republican foreign policy establishment. The letter declared that Trump is unfit to be president because his views of American power are “wildly inconsistent and unmoored in principle” . . .

Support among the group appears to be shifting to Cruz, especially now that the Texas senator has won endorsements from former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). Giuliani Suggests Hillary ‘Founding Member of ISIS’

Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, slammed Hillary Clinton during a recent Fox News broadcast, telling host Bill O’Reilly and the millions of watchers the former secretary of State is a big reason why ISIS exists.

“I mean, Hillary Clinton could be considered a founding member of ISIS,” he said, the Hill reported.

He said Clinton had ample opportunity to deal with the terror group during her State Department tenure, but she refused and will instead go down in history as “part of an administration that withdrew from Iraq,” he said.

“By being part of an administration that let Maliki run Iraq … into the ground,” Giuliani said, the Hill reported, “[she] forced the Shiites to make a choice, by not intervening in Syria in the proper time.”

O’Reilly suggested Clinton wasn’t really that culpable for the rise of ISIS because she never held the power to force President Obama to do something he didn’t want to do. But Giuliani said it’s such politicking that makes her a poor choice for president. (Read more from “Giuliani Suggests Hillary ‘Founding Member of ISIS'” HERE)

FBI May Seek Immunity for Huma to Nail Hillary, Not That There’s Anything Wrong With That

Accomplished author Ed Klein, who has an superb track record for unearthing scoops regarding the Clinton Crime Family (which is the term they prefer, I hear) has another breaking report regarding Hillary’s illegal bathroom email server. Which was, I understand, a magnet for both spies and flies.

As context, please recall Hillary’s response to the question she was asked during a recent Democrat debate, to wit, whether she would step down if indicted for various crimes related to her email server, mishandling classified information, and/or other criminal activities related to the Clinton Global Graft Foundation.

She responded, “Oh for goodness … that’s not going to happen. I’m not even answering that question.”

Well, she better get ready to answer that question, because the investigation of Hillary’s email scandal is reaching a climax.

My sources tell me that the Justice Department is close to empaneling a grand jury and deciding whether to grant statutory immunity to Huma Abedin, Hillary’s closest adviser.

That would force Huma to testify under oath and face perjury charges and jail time if she lies. I’m also told that Hillary herself will most likely be forced to testify.

Klein indicates that FBI director James Comey is inching ever closer to a recommendation to indict Hillary Clinton, a political hot potato handed to Attorney General Loretta Lynch the likes of which the political system hasn’t seen since Nixon.

My sources say the likelihood is that Lynch will not make that decision herself. Instead, she’ll probably appoint a special counsel to make the decision. That will get the Obama administration off the hook and avoid charges of a conflict of interest or, even worse, obstruction of justice.

Klein offers a series of intriguing questions that this scenario raises, the first four of which are:

1. Could Hillary run for president if she is under criminal indictment?

2. Would she step down voluntarily?

3. Could the Democratic [sic] Party make her step down?

4. Who would take her place as the party’s presidential standard-bearer?

Maybe the Democrats could run someone to the left of Crazy old Marxist Bernie Sanders. Say, Obama’s baseball buddy Raul Castro, perhaps. (For more from the author of “FBI May Seek Immunity for Huma to Nail Hillary, Not That There’s Anything Wrong With That” please click HERE)

WIKILEAKS: Why Is Facebook Censoring Our Searchable Index Documenting the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal?

Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

WikiLeaks has recently accused Facebook for allegedly not allowing users access its newly released 30,322 emails and email attachments sent to and from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on its social network.

On its official Twitter account, WikiLeaks said “Dear @Facebook: stop censoring our Hillary Clinton email release. No, really. Stop it. There is no technical excuse.”

Clinton … is said to be the only Secretary of State to delete 31,830 emails from her own private server and without government oversight.

But WikiLeaks has dispatched on Wednesday an archive that has 30,322 emails and attachments from June 30, 2010, to Aug. 12, 2014. According to WikiLeaks, Clinton wrote 7,570 of the documents in the archive.

Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg is a notorious proponent of open borders and illegal immigration. So it’s not much of a surprise to think that Facebook would censor news debilitating to Hillary Clinton and the political party solely focused on promoting illegal immigration, crime, and economic ruin. Clinton Email Reveals: Google Sought Overthrow of Syria’s Assad

Google in 2012 sought to help insurgents overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad, according to State Department emails receiving fresh scrutiny this week.

Messages between former secretary of state Hillary Clinton’s team and one of the company’s executives detailed the plan for Google to get involved in the region.

“Please keep close hold, but my team is planning to launch a tool … that will publicly track and map the defections in Syria and which parts of the government they are coming from,” Jared Cohen, the head of what was then the company’s “Google Ideas” division, wrote in a July 2012 email to several top Clinton officials.

“Our logic behind this is that while many people are tracking the atrocities, nobody is visually representing and mapping the defections, which we believe are important in encouraging more to defect and giving confidence to the opposition,” Cohen said, adding that the plan was for Google to surreptitiously give the tool to Middle Eastern media.

“Given how hard it is to get information into Syria right now, we are partnering with Al-Jazeera who will take primary ownership over the tool we have built, track the data, verify it, and broadcast it back into Syria,” he said. Obama Is ‘Privately’ Doing Something Major for Hillary Clinton

By Maggie Haberman and Michael D. Shear. In unusually candid remarks, President Obama privately told a group of Democratic donors last Friday that Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont was nearing the point at which his campaign against Hillary Clinton would end, and that the party must soon come together to back her.

Mr. Obama acknowledged that Mrs. Clinton was perceived to have weaknesses as a candidate, and that some Democrats did not view her as authentic . . .

Mr. Obama made the remarks after reporters had left a fund-raising event in Austin, Tex., for the Democratic National Committee. The comments were described by three people in the room for the event, all of whom were granted anonymity to describe a candid moment with the president. The comments were later confirmed by a White House official. (Read more from “Obama Is ‘Privately’ Doing Something Major for Hillary Clinton” HERE)

Sanders Fights for Life as Clinton Wins Another State, Obama Turns Screws

By Fox News. Bernie Sanders, still insisting he has a fighting chance to capture the Democratic presidential nomination, ratcheted up his campaign schedule Friday to hit all three Western states voting next week as he scrambles to recover from Hillary Clinton’s recent five-state sweep – while President Obama applies pressure from the outside on the Vermont senator’s underdog bid.

Overnight, Clinton was declared the winner of the last remaining unresolved primary from Tuesday’s five contests, in Missouri. Sanders said he won’t seek a recount in the tight race.

But, speaking with the Associated Press, he maintained he can still close the delegate gap.

“I don’t believe they have an insurmountable lead,” Sanders said Thursday from Arizona, where he was campaigning. “Secretary Clinton has done phenomenally well in the Deep South and in Florida. That’s where she has gotten the lion’s share of votes. And I congratulate her for that. But we’re out of the Deep South now.” (Read more from “Sanders Fights for Life as Clinton Wins Another State, Obama Turns Screws” HERE)

Wikileaks Publishes Searchable Hillary Clinton Email Archive

Wikileaks, an international organization that publishes leaked classified and government documents, recently made available over 30,000 e-mails from Hillary Clinton’s private server, in which can be found collusion with Google and YouTube to block access to the infamous video which she blamed as a catalyst for the 2012 Benghazi consulate attacks.

The private server, which has become a recurring issue during Clinton’s presidential campaign, was stored in the Clinton’s home in Chappaqua, New York. This act was a direct violation of normal federal government record-keeping procedures at the Department of State and became a more severe offense when it was revealed that Clinton’s server contained nearly 2,100 e-mails that were officially marked classified.

Although Clinton has maintained that the purpose of the server was strictly “a matter of convenience,” the FBI has started an investigation to determine if her use of the private server to transmit classified information is unlawful. According to the investigation, “more than 26 percent of them contained information that the government now deems classified or secret.” (Read more from “Wikileaks Publishes Searchable Hillary Clinton Email Archive” HERE)
