Photo Credit: Fox News The gun used by a Mexican illegal alien when he allegedly shot dead a 32-year-old woman at a San Francisco pier belonged to a federal agent, a source confirmed to Fox News Tuesday.
It was not immediately clear how Francisco Sanchez, 45, would have obtained the weapon. However, the San Francisco Chronicle reported sources told the paper the gun had been stolen during a car burglary in June.
Earlier Tuesday, Sanchez pled not guilty to first-degree murder in last week’s shooting of Kathryn Steinle, 32, while she was walking with her father and a family friend at Pier 14. Police said witnesses heard no argument or dispute before the shooting, suggesting it was a random attack.
Sanchez had previously told KGO-TV Sunday in a mix of Spanish and English that he found a gun wrapped inside a shirt while he was sitting on a bench at the pier and smoking a cigarette . . .
The shooting has drawn national attention and criticism of the city’s sanctuary ordinance after federal officials revealed that Sanchez has seven felony convictions and was deported five times to his native Mexico. By Ruben Navarrette Jr. Of the many different reactions to Donald Trump’s inaccurate and insulting comments about how Mexican migrants to the United States come from the bottom of the barrel, one of the most interesting has been that of wealthy and powerful Mexican elites who are suddenly long on indignation and outrage but short on memory and self-awareness.
That’s because Trump’s dismissive comments about how the United States has become a “dumping ground” for castaways from Mexico sound like something you’d hear bandied about at a Guadalajara country club or a fancy banquet in Mexico City.
After all, Mexico—like the rest of Latin America—is not exactly a model of social equality. There is prejudice and discrimination, pecking orders to which one must adhere. And those who leave the country are often ignored and forgotten.
So it is interesting that Trump has became so unpopular with the Mexican elites, who are usually content to watch from a safe distance the divisive immigration debate in the United States. If you’re a doctor or lawyer or businessman in Mexico City, and you shop at Louis Vuitton and spend your summer vacations in Europe, the plight of poor and uneducated Mexican migrants in the United States must seem like someone else’s problem.

Donald Trump has been under fire for remarks he made on illegal immigrants during the announcement of his candidacy. “The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems,” He said. “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
While the remarks are certainly blunt, they’re not inherently wrong. Border Patrol seized just under $3.5M worth of marijuana from Mexican nationals in Arizona this past Thursday alone. There’s also been 40 cases of sex abuse by illegal aliens this year, and that’s just from what Border Patrol has posted as media releases on their website. A staggering amount of those cases involve children and minors.
Here’s a few examples:
April 27, 2015 in Edinburg, Texas: Border Patrol arrested four Salvadoran nationals, all with gang affiliations and all sex offenders. According to the release, their crimes included sexual assault, sodomy of a girl, sexual solicitation, indecency with a child, and possession of obscene material. They were convicted of these crimes across three separate states: Alabama, Arizona, and California. Border Patrol also seized nearly two tons of marijuana while it was on its way to Rio Grande City, Texas.
January 27, 2015 in Calexico, California: 41-year-old Mexican national was arrested while he was attempting to enter the U.S. illegally. This man was a violent drug dealer who was convicted for attempting to have sex with a minor three-years-old or younger. He served just three years in prison for his offenses and was deported. He was prosecuted for re-entry.
House Judiciary Chair: ‘This Administration Is Releasing Criminals Back Onto the Streets’
By Susan Jones. Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is criticizing the Obama administration for “releasing criminals back onto the streets.”
He was talking about the murder of a 32-year-old woman in San Francisco last Wednesday, allegedly by an illegal alien with seven felony convictions who had been deported five times to Mexico.
Because San Francisco is a “sanctuary city,” local authorities did not honor a U.S. Customs and Enforcement Agency detainer for Francisco Sanchez. The detainer could have kept Sanchez in jail until ICE officials picked him up.

Mother of Californian Woman ‘Shot Dead at Random’ by Illegal Mexican Immigrant Who Had Been Deported FIVE TIMES Condemns Officials Who Let Him Stay

Grieving relatives of Kathryn Steinle, 32, who was shot dead on San Francisco’s Pier 14 Thursday night, made the comments in light of revelations that alleged killer Francisco Sanchez, 45, had already been sent back over the border five times.
Immigration officials said that they had made him a ‘priority’ request for any law enforcement officers who picked him up.
But when he was arrested over marijuana four months ago in San Francisco he was let go, in accordance with city policy designed to give ‘sanctuary’ to undocumented migrants.

By Judson Berger. The man arrested in connection with the seemingly random killing of a woman who was out for a stroll with her father along the San Francisco waterfront is an illegal [alien] who previously had been deported five times, federal immigration officials say.
Further, Immigration and Customs Enforcement says San Francisco had him in their custody earlier this year but failed to notify ICE when he was released.
“DHS records indicate ICE lodged an immigration detainer on the subject at that time, requesting notification prior to his release so ICE officers could make arrangements to take custody. The detainer was not honored,” ICE said in a statement Friday afternoon.
Kathryn Steinle was killed Wednesday evening at Pier 14 — one of the busiest tourist destinations in the city.

Immigrant to Sweden Rapes 12-Year-Old Girl, Gets Community Service
By Blake Neff. An 18-year-old Somali immigrant to Sweden who violently raped a 12-year-old girl has been punished with a mere 180 hours of community service.
According to recently released court documents, translated by The Daily Caller News Foundation, on Nov. 10, 2014, Guled Mohamud, a Somali citizen who now resides in Sundsvall, lured to his home an unnamed girl who had just days before turned 12 years old. He apparently was able to draw her into his apartment by having a friend claim to possess intimate photographs of her.
Once the girl was in his home, Mohamud violently raped the preteen, tearing her jacket off and holding her to the ground while repeatedly striking her face . . .
Mohamud tried to claim he had been in a three-month romantic relationship with the girl, and that she had claimed to be 16 years old, and that he therefore had only committed the lesser offense of sexually exploiting a minor (Sweden’s age of consent is 15). The girl denied ever dating Mohamud and the court dismissed his defense as not credible, finding that he fully understood the girl had not consented and was under 15 years of age. He was convicted June 24.
Even in famously lenient Sweden, the punishment for rape is supposed to be between a minimum of two years and a maximum of six (the maximum is bumped up to ten years for aggravated rape). Mohamud, though, will spend no time in prison. Instead, the court used its power to impose non-prison punishments and sentenced him to 180 hours of supervised community service, the equivalent of about 22 days of unpaid work. An illegal immigrant charged with distribution and possession of child pornography told a district court commissioner this week to “just deport me” following his arrest, according to information revealed during his bond-review hearing Wednesday in Washington County Circuit Court.
Cristian Alexander Magana, 19, of Beachley Drive, Hagerstown, is charged with six counts of promoting or distributing child pornography and 15 counts of possession of child pornography, court records said . . .
Assistant Public Defender Sean Mukherjee asked Myers to set “an extremely reasonable bond” for Magana, telling the judge that the defendant has lived in Hagerstown for about a year with an aunt who depends on his financial support.
Mukherjee told the judge that Magana’s alleged downloading of child pornography was mechanically not much different than illegally downloading music from a file-sharing service . . .

Many have criminal convictions, ranging from minor drug offenses to violent crimes, including robbery, rape and murder. Their names, convictions and even their photos are a matter of public record in local courts and jails. But U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement won’t identify them, citing privacy reasons. The Obama administration confirmed that the illegal immigrant charged with the first degree murder of a contestant on America’s Next Top Model (ANTM) and two others had been granted amnesty under the president’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, also known as the “dreamer” policy.
Emmanuel Jesus Rangel-Hernandez and David Ezequel Lopez, both 19, are accused of triple homicides in the deaths of ANTM contestant Mirjana Puhar, 19; her boyfriend, Jonathan Alvarado, 23; and his roommate, Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, 21, on February 24, 2015, at Alvardo’s home in Charlotte, N.C.
As previously reported by Western Journalism, Sens. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa (Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee), first raised concerns about Rangel-Hernandez’s status a few days after the murders in a letter to Department of Homeland Security head Jeh Johnson. By the following month, Grassley and Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., had confirmed that the murder suspect avoided deportation through the DACA policy.
Grassley and Tillis’ inquiry further revealed that Rangel-Hernandez had been placed in the removal process by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following drug charges in 2012, but his proceedings were dismissed in 2013 after his approval for Obama’s deferral program.
The senators added, “Whistleblowers allege that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services granted Rangel-Hernandez’s DACA application despite knowledge that he was a gang member.”
In light of their discoveries, the senators asked Sec. Jeh Johnson pointed questions, demanding to know why someone who was not eligible for DACA, due to his criminal record and gang membership, was allowed to stay in the country.
Grassley released U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) director Leon Rodriguez’s reply on Tuesday, in which he admitted, “Given the fact that the individual [Rangel-Hernandez] was a known gang member, his request should have been denied.” He further noted that, during their investigation, the USCIS identified others in the country under DACA who “merit further review.”
This statement by USCIS confirms what we have feared – that USCIS is not doing a thorough job reviewing the individuals who it allows to stay in this country under the President’s deferred action program. It’s no secret that USCIS staff is under intense pressure to approve every DACA application that comes across their desk, and based on this information, it’s clear that adequate protocols are not in place to protect public safety. The fact is that this tragedy could have been avoided if the agency had a zero tolerance policy with regard to criminal aliens and gang members.
Sen. Tillis added:
The flawed implementation of the President’s blanket deferred action program has created a loophole that allows dangerous criminals who came here illegally – even known gang members – to stay in the country. The USCIS needs to immediately start performing detailed criminal background checks to prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.

Rector Estimates Lifetime Retirement Costs of Illegals Granted Executive Amnesty at $1.3 Trillion

The lifetime costs of Social Security and Medicare benefits of illegal immigrant beneficiaries of President Obama’s executive amnesty would be well over a trillion dollars, according to Heritage Foundation expert Robert Rector’s prepared testimony for a House panel obtained in advance by Breitbart News.
Rector, a senior research fellow at Heritage, is slated to speak on the costs of Obama’s executive amnesty Tuesday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. He will testify to the high entitlement costs of granting legal status to millions of illegal immigrants.
Based on Rector’s calculations, which assume that at least 3.97 illegal immigrants would apply for and receive legal status under Deferred Action for Parents of U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents (DAPA), and that the average DAPA beneficiary would have a 10th grade education, the costs would be immense.
Specifically, in 2010 dollars, the lifetime costs of Social Security benefits to DAPA beneficiaries would be about $1.3 trillion. (Read more from this story HERE)

The Obama Democrats have an audacious scheme for winning future elections. They just plan to import 5 million non-citizens and credential them as voters who will, in gratitude, vote Democratic.
The way this devious formula works is stunningly simple. Just get the new Republican Congress (under Speaker John Boehner and Sen. Mitch McConnell) to pass a full-funding bill for Homeland Security without any exception for the funding of Obama’s illegal executive amnesty, which will allow Obama to give work permits, Social Security numbers and driver’s licenses to 5 million illegal aliens.
Once the 5 million so-called undocumented persons are given those valuable documents, there is no way to stop them from voting. That conclusion is drawn from the testimony of voting experts such as Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who told the U.S. House Oversight Committee on Feb. 12, “It’s a guarantee it will happen.”
Kobach’s warning was reinforced by testimony before the same committee by Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, who noted that the 5 million non-citizens would receive the “same documents that federal law requires the states to recognize as valid forms of identification for voter registration.” And once an alien registers to vote, Kobach said, it is “virtually impossible” to remove him from the voter rolls.
A third witness, Hans von Spakovsky, suggested that Social Security numbers issued to the 5 million illegal aliens should contain a code (such as “N” for non-citizen) that would instantly reveal their ineligibility to vote. According to an Associated Press report, as a result, “Immigration and Customs Enforcement earlier this month launched a program to give GPS devices to some parents caught crossing the Mexican border illegally with their children in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley.” The program will reportedly track 250 “heads of households” with GPS ankle bracelets.

Cops are on the hunt for a previously deported 14-year-old illegal alien suspected of trying to execute a teenaged human smuggler on the Texas border in an apparent cartel hit. The victim in the case had a lengthy criminal history that had already resulted in two deaths.
While details remain unknown, investigators with the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office began looking into the case on Sunday when they found a 16-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head inside a crashed vehicle. The victim survived the hit but ended up dying on Monday morning; Justice of the Peace Luis Garza pronounced the teen dead at a local hospital and ordered an autopsy.

The requirement that illegal immigrants must come forward and subject themselves to background checks to attain legal status as required under various amnesty proposals likely would not catch criminals, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson acknowledged Wednesday.
Speaking before the House Homeland Security Committee, Johnson conceded, under pressure from Rep. Lou Barletta (R-PA), that criminals in the country illegally would not voluntarily undergo background checks.
Barletta questioned the DHS secretary about the Obama administration’s pursuit of amnesty in the wake of ongoing concerns about terrorism in the United States and used the convicted 1993 World Trade Center bomber Mahmud Abouhalima as as example of a terrorist who received amnesty in 1986 by claiming to be an agricultural worker.
