Report: 84% of Chicago’s Measles Cases Traced to Illegal Aliens

A report from the Centers for Disease Control has linked 84 percent of Chicago’s recent cases of measles back to the wave of illegal aliens from Venezuela.

The report found that 84 percent of the identified cases were found in illegal aliens from Venezuela who were unvaccinated and can be traced to a single migrant boy who arrived in Chicago with the communicable disease, according to the Daily Mail.

Fifty-seven cases were found in the same migrant shelter in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, the CDC added.

But Venezuela was not the only traced source of cases. The organization also noted that sixteen percent of the cases in Chicago could be traced back to people who contracted the disease in Peru and Chile.

After the migrant child was taken from the shelter to a hospital on February 27, Chicago health authorities acted to contain the illness. State to Convert Prison Into Shelter for Illegal Aliens

Massachusetts plans to convert a shuttered prison into an emergency “safety-net” site for illegal aliens, Democrat Governor Maura Healey’s office confirmed to WCVB on Saturday.

The Bay State Correctional Center in Norfolk was decommissioned in 2015 but will soon serve as temporary housing for approximately 140 local homeless and illegal immigrant families residing in Massachusetts, the only state with a right-to-shelter law.

The state’s emergency shelter system reached capacity at 7,500 families in November.

According to Emergency Assistance Director Scott Rice, the facility is still “in good condition,” WCVB reported. Previously a minimum-security prison, the building reportedly features dorm-like rooms, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, a common room, and offices. Residents will have access to showers and bathrooms on each floor.

Rice told the news outlet that the state also plans to create a play area for children and classroom spaces for adults. The facility will host English for Speakers of Other Languages courses, job training, and housing search workshops, he added. State Pleading With Private Homeowners to Take In Illegal Aliens

The state of Massachusetts is asking private homeowners to take in illegal aliens as the state runs out of room to house the thousands of border crossers who are still flooding into the Bay State.

Massachusetts is the only state that has a state-wide “right to housing” rule for homeless families. And with that rule in mind, Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) has repeatedly asked legal residents to open up their homes to illegal immigrants for whom officials are having a hard time finding beds.

Healey declared a “state of emergency” over the influx of illegal aliens in August, saying in her declaration, “There are currently nearly 5,600 families or more than 20,000 individuals in state shelter, including children and pregnant women.”

One solution Healey and her allies have suggested is housing migrants in private homes.

Days after Healey’s declaration, Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll (D) told the state, “Most importantly, if you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family. Poll Reveals Majority of Americans Support Prosecuting Businesses Who Hire Illegal Aliens

A recent Fox News poll conducted from December 10 to December 13 shows a majority of American voters favor prosecuting employers who hire illegal aliens.

According to the poll, 64% of surveyed Americans express the desire for the federal government to penalize and fine employers who hire illegal aliens for U.S. jobs. Only 32% oppose such a policy, while 4% remain undecided.

61% of swing voters and 64% of self-described moderates endorse the implementation of nationwide mandatory E-Verify, emphasizing its relevance for the upcoming 2024 presidential and congressional elections.

Surprisingly, a majority of democrat voters signaled support for prosecuting employers, with 53% favoring such a policy. Almost 8-in-10 Republicans express a desire for nationwide mandatory E-Verify.

According to federal data, there are limited prosecutions of employers hiring illegal aliens, despite national support. Fox News’ findings align with other recent surveys, reinforcing the enduring popularity of mandatory E-Verify as a policy solution to address illegal immigration in the United States. The poll echoes the sentiment captured in a November survey by Rasmussen Reports, where nearly 70% of likely U.S. voters supported nationwide mandatory E-Verify.

As the 2024 elections approach, the data from the Fox News poll signals a strong desire among American voters for increased measures against employers hiring illegal aliens, despite pushback from the Biden administration.

House Republicans: Biden Plan To Turn U.S. Airports Into Migrant Camps Poses Major ‘Security Risks’ to Americans

House Republicans are urging President Joe Biden’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, to reject reported plans that would see United States airports transformed into migrant camps for tens of thousands of illegal aliens.

A total of 70 House Republicans, led by House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO), are asking Buttigieg to drop plans in which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “has proposed housing 60,000 migrants at four public airports and various other facilities in New York and New Jersey,” they write:

These airports and their communities rightfully fear being transformed into larger versions of Chicago O’Hare International Airport, which has reportedly converted portions of its terminal into a shelter for hundreds of migrants. At a time when the Administration is proposing higher screening requirements on known airline crewmembers due to security risks, we are extremely concerned about the lack of regard for security risks posed by housing thousands of unknown persons at airports, many of which support passenger air service and host sensitive military facilities. Indeed, as Breitbart News reported in September, the sanctuary city of Chicago, Illinois, started housing more than 400 border crossers and illegal aliens at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport in what a reporter called a scene from the dystopian film Mad Max.

The House Republicans — which include House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY), House Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Garret Graves (R-LA), and Rep. Biden’s Migrant Mobile App Helps Free Thousands of Foreign Nationals Into U.S. From Terrorism-Linked Countries

Thousands of “special interest aliens,” classified as such due to the national security risks they pose because of their ties to terrorism-linked countries, have been released into American communities after scheduling appointments at the United States-Mexico border, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data revealed.

Since the start of the year, Biden’s DHS has used the “CBP One” mobile app to allow tens of thousands of foreign nationals in Mexico to schedule appointments at the southern border for release into the U.S. interior every month.

DHS data reviewed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) revealed that the migrant mobile app, along with similar online interfaces, has freed thousands of special interest aliens from the border into American communities.

“New records released to the Center for Immigration Studies last week as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit reveal that the Biden administration has been authorizing thousands of [special interest aliens] for escorted entries through land ports along the border since at least May 2021, using ‘CBP One’ online interfaces such as a mobile phone app,” CIS’s Todd Bensman reported:

Using this program, the administration has authorized the paroles into the country of some 7,332 [special interest aliens] from 24 of the roughly 35-40 U.S.-designated countries, including smatterings from Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, but the largest numbers coming from Muslim-majority former Soviet republics in Central Asia such as the Kyrgyz Republic, also known as Kyrgyzstan, (3,852) and Uzbekistan (1,843). These government-sanctioned [special interest alien] entries are very different from the surprise illegal border crossings of [special interest aliens] with which homeland security officials traditionally have had to contend in that these ones are pre-approved before their escorted port of entry crossings, their names and biometrics ostensibly having been run through criminal database checks (though such checks have been panned as grossly inadequate). Texas Defies Joe Biden, Reinstalls Razor Wire to Keep Illegal Aliens Out

In the last 24 hours, over 10,000 illegal migrants have crossed into Eagle Pass, Texas illegally— triggering a state of emergency in the small border town.

To curb the mass migration of illegal aliens into the U.S. from the Texas- Mexico border, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) ordered the reinstallation of razor wire fences after federal officials cut down a previous fence.

Before sunrise on Thursday, another 250 illegal migrants were waiting to be processed, as hundreds more are expected. The already-overwhelming border has residents declaring this to be the worst crisis they have ever seen.

Biden’s DHS Gives Phones to Border Crossers While Releasing Them Into U.S.; ‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris Kicks off Lifting of Title 42 With Democrat ‘Soiree’

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is issuing cell phones to border crossers and illegal aliens as they are being released into the United States. The phones are used strictly to track their whereabouts following their release.

Biden ended Title 42, one of the administration’s last few border controls to stem waves of illegal immigration, on Friday and began implementing a series of programs under its Catch and Release network that ensure most border crossers and illegal aliens are released into the United States while awaiting their immigration hearings, which are often years out.

As part of that process, DHS provides some border crossers and illegal aliens with phones to track their whereabouts. Those given phones are enrolled in the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, which allows new arrivals to remain in the United States without being detained while waiting for their cases to come up.

‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris Kicks off Lifting of Title 42 With Democrat ‘Soiree’

By Breitbart. Vice President Kamala Harris kicks off her administration’s lifting of Title 42 by headlining the Democrat Party of Georgia’s “Spring Soiree” fundraiser on Friday.

Harris, named border czar by President Joe Biden in 2021, is scheduled to attend the “Spring Soiree” on Friday in Atlanta and the private fundraiser hosted by the Democrat National Committee (DNC). The events mark the beginning of their Biden-Harris campaign push to raise as much money as possible for the 2024 election cycle.

She will be attending the fundraisers instead of visiting the U.S.-Mexico border in her capacity as border czar, where 400,000 border crossers and illegal aliens are expected to come to the southern border every month, as the Biden administration puts an end to Title 42.

Title 42 was a federal public health authority that aimed to control the border, which expired at 11:59 p.m. Thursday. The House Republicans passed legislation, H.R.2, on Thursday to codify some of former President Trump’s strictest border policies. But, the legislation still has to get through the Senate, and the White House has promised President Joe Biden will veto it. Federal Agents Placed on Standby in Case of Riots as Title 42 Ends

After days of panic, with thousands of migrants crossing over the southern border in a last-minute attempt to claim asylum before the rules changed, Title 42 has ended.

In the final hours before the pandemic-era measure expired, forces along the border fortified their posts with barbed wire, concrete barriers and heavily armed teams patrolling their front lines.

Agents in tactical gear also performed rehearsals for how to deal with rioters or mobs, should migrants attempt to descend en masse across the border.

Federal agents also remain on standby in case of riots, sources told The Post.
