Texas County Sees 540% Human Smuggling Increase Thanks to U.S. Border Crisis

A rural Texas county with just 800 citizens saw 7,400 illegal migrants arrested last year — but admits thousands more are getting away.

Terrell County, which has more cacti than residents, arrested nine border crossers for each of its citizens according to Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland — a 540% increase in the number captured since 2020.

Numbers have exploded as the southern border is besieged by millions running away from failing states in Southern and Central America, and desperation is pushing smugglers to make the days-long trek through his territory, which is why he’s asking Gov. Greg Abbott for desperately needed help.

“It is imperative we expand border security operations here as cartel operatives continue to operate and increase their smuggling routes through our county,” he told The Post.

Cleveland, 49, patrols the county with two deputies. They have 50 border patrol officers stationed in the county, who make the bulk of arrests of illegals. Federal agents who work in other areas of the border are sent to Sanderson for two weeks at a time to help deal with the 91 miles of the most hostile terrain on the southern border. Mother Slams Biden’s Border Policies After Daughter’s Murder by Suspected Gang Member in the U.S.

A mother of a young woman who was murdered last year said that her daughter would still be alive if the Biden administration’s border policies had not allowed a suspected MS-13 gang member into the United States.

On July 27, 2022, 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton from Aberdeen, Maryland was raped and strangled to death in her bed, according to WMAR Baltimore. Investigators learned that Hamilton was autistic and that she had recently moved to the area with her boyfriend.

DNA evidence collected at the scene led investigators to a 17-year-old boy from El Salvador who entered the United States last March as an “unaccompanied minor.” The suspect, whose name has not been revealed, is listed in El Salvador as a member of Malva Salvatrucha, which is MS-13, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to Fox 6 Now. . .

In an interview with The Washington Examiner, Hamilton’s mother, Tammy Nobles, said that the suspect was one of hundreds of thousands unaccompanied children who crossed the border under Biden’s leadership. He was reportedly apprehended in Rio Grande City, Texas but “slipped through the system amid the crisis and went undetected.”

Sources Say Biden’s Border Visit Orchestrated to Avoid Chaotic Reality; Joe Biden Travels to U.S.-Mexico Border for First Time

By Fox News. President Biden got a watered-down version of the border crisis in El Paso, Texas on Sunday, as the number of illegal immigrants coming across the U.S.-Mexico line appears to have plummeted since December, according to reports.

Not only that, but the Central Processing Center, which was previously overwhelmed with immigrants, is no longer at its capacity of about 1,000 migrants, and the camps of migrants have suddenly vanished, at least according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection sources.

Leading up to Biden’s visit, the Border Patrol union slammed the president because of reports that state and local authorities were ramping up detentions and cleaning up the migrant encampments ahead of the commander in chief’s arrival.

“El Paso is being cleared up as if nothing unusual ever happened there,” the National Border Patrol Council tweeted on Friday. “Just in time for Biden’s ‘visit to the border.’”

Biden Travels to U.S.-Mexico Border for First Time

By Daily Caller. President Joe Biden travelled to the U.S. southern border for the first time on Sunday, landing in El Paso, Texas, amid the record-breaking number of illegal immigrants crossing during his presidency.

El Paso was in chaos hours before Biden’s arrival, with hundreds of illegal immigrants sleeping on the streets, and some illegally charging residents for free parking spots and stealing cell phones, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported. The number of illegal immigrants coming to the city has dropped “since the peak in December” when it was “2,000 a day,” to a current number of 700 a day, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on the flight over.

Fiscal year 2022 recorded 2.3 million Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encounters with illegal immigrants, the most in recorded U.S. history.

Biden spoke with Republican Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott after he stepped off Air Force One, and made his way to a vehicle that drove him to the Bridge of the Americas Port of Entry for a tour with CBP agents. The agents showed the president how they find illegal objects, like people and drugs, in vehicles crossing the border.

Biden Blames Republicans for Border Invasion

President Joe Biden blamed the Republican Party during a Thursday White House speech for the southern border invasion.

Biden’s statement that Republicans are to blame for the border crisis was followed by a claim that partisan divisiveness has prevented immigration solutions. Under Democrat rule, 2.2 million illegal migrants have overrun the border in fiscal year 2022, a 33 percent increase from 2021.

“I sent congress a comprehensive piece of legislation that would completely overhaul what has been a broken immigration system for a long time,” Biden said.

Biden alleged preventing illegal immigration is a priority but Republicans have opposed his plan.

“Cracking down on illegal immigration, strengthening legal immigration and protecting dreamers, those with temporary protective status, like farm workers, are part of the fabric of our nation,” Biden continued. “But congressional republicans have refused to consider my plan and they rejected my retest for an additional $3.5 billion to secure the border and funds for 2,000 new asylum personnel.” (Read more from “Biden Blames Republicans for Border Invasion” HERE)

ICE Says It Can’t Find Records on Nearly 400,000 Illegal Aliens It Should Be Monitoring

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has “no records” of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants it released into the United States.

The Department of Homeland Security agency made its admission in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC). TRAC had requested information on 377,980 illegal immigrants in ICE’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, according to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“ICE has conducted a search of the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) for records responsive to your request and no records responsive to your request were found,” the agency responded to TRAC’s FOIA.

The ICE ATD program is designed to ensure migrant compliance with court orders while avoiding physical detainment. The agency keeps tabs on migrants through GPS tracking, through ankle monitors or cell phones, and mandatory check-ins with case agents. The program was launched in 2004 to free up space in detention centers while migrants wait for their cases to be processed in crowded immigration courts.

New Report Exposes Illegal Immigration Industrial Complex and the ‘Charities’ That Benefit

A new investigation from the Heritage Foundation exposes how Non-Governmental Organizations, known as NGOs, work with the federal government to relocate illegal immigrants from border towns to destinations across the country under the guise of “charity.”

“The Biden border crisis was sparked by the deliberate implementation of open-borders policies and the removal of Trump-era borders security policies by the Biden administration. While the Biden administration caused the crisis and allows it to persist, they are not the only party responsible for facilitating this crisis. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have played a substantial role in exacerbating the crisis by actively helping process and transport tens of thousands of illegal aliens into the interior of the United States,” a memo published by Heritage states.

“After observing this dynamic, the Heritage Oversight Project and Heritage Border Security and Immigration Center obtained and analyzed movement patterns of anonymized mobile devices that were detected on the premises of over 30 NGO facilities at or near the border. These locations were selected either based on public knowledge of these facilities being used to process illegal aliens or on reliable human source information. All physical locations were verified and physical location boundaries were defined to include building and parking areas to minimize false positives,” it continues.

‘Furious’ Biden Dropped F-Bombs Over Border Crisis, Book Claims

The surge in illegal immigration at the southern border in the first months of Joe Biden’s presidency enraged the commander-in-chief, who was frustrated over what he saw as a “lack of solutions,” a forthcoming book claims.

Author Chris Whipple claims in “The Fight of His Life,” out Jan. 17, that Biden became “furious” as the number of migrant encounters at the US-Mexico frontier spiked almost immediately after he took office in January 2021.

“Aides had rarely seen him so angry,” Whipple writes, according to Fox News. “From all over the West Wing, you could hear the president cursing, dropping f-bombs (he’d always apologize when women were present).”

“It’s like, ‘How would you feel if you were me and these were the solutions you had?’ It’s the weight of the presidency, right?’” one of the now 80-year-old president’s advisers told Whipple. . .

By Breitbart. Video reports from El Paso, Texas, indicate that a record-setting large group of more than 1,000 migrants crossed the border overnight from Mexico. Border Patrol agents reportedly have more than 5,000 in custody with nowhere to place new migrant arrivals.

A video tweeted by @PSAFLIVE Monday morning reveals a steady stream of migrants crossing the border from Mexico into El Paso. The group of more than 1,000 migrants who crossed overnight is understood to be one of the largest-ever single migrant crossing events in U.S. history.

The crossings come in advance of this month’s expected end to Title 42 migrant removals and a visit to the El Paso area this week by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, as reported by KRQE’s Border Report. Biden Admin Policy Move Will Pulverize Americans’ Pocketbooks for Good, National Security Expert Warns

By Fox Business. As massive migrant caravans continue to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, one national security expert signaled the border crisis will only get worse for Americans – and their pocketbooks – once the Biden administration drops Title 42.

“The numbers coming across are already being felt across the nation in your schools, health care system, crime, every sector of the American economy and our social fabric,” “Overrun” author Todd Bensman said on “Mornings with Maria” Monday. “Whether the president wants to admit it or not, Americans are going to feel this in the pocketbook for a long, long time, probably permanently.”

Officials at the southern border are reportedly seeing massive migrant numbers at the southern border, along with a number of large groups, ahead of the expected end of the ability to expel migrants under the Title 42 public health order in a few weeks.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources told Fox News that migrant numbers for FY 2023, which began in October, are at over 485,000 and are expected to hit the half a million mark this weekend. So far, 156,000 have been expelled under Title 42.

Investigation Reveals Where Released Immigrants Have Gone in the US

The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project published a new report detailing how non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have facilitated the last leg of travel for illegal immigrants once they reach the United States, which has only increased during the Biden administration’s border crisis.

The Oversight Project was able to compile the report by sampling approximately 30,000 unique and anonymized mobile devices that were geofenced to a number of these NGOs along the border. Illegal immigrants hand themselves over to Border Patrol to be processed and then released if Title 42 does not apply to their nationality, though the public health order is scheduled to end on December 21. Device pings were captured throughout the month of January 2022, in four different phases:

Phase One involved “geofencing” the physical locations of the Val Verde Border Humanitarian Center and the Del Rio Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Station—around 400 devices pinged on premises.

Phase Two of the investigation involved the geofencing of 20 NGO facilities in border states—around 22,000 devices pinged on premises.

Phase Three involved geofencing 13 NGO locations located in close physical proximity to the border—around 5,000 devices pinged on premises.

Seven More Texas Counties Express Support for Declaring Invasion at Border; Bringing Total to 40

Forty Texas counties have now declared an invasion at the southern U.S. border with Mexico, or have expressed support for Texas declaring an invasion. More are in the process of doing so, according to sources who’ve spoken to The Center Square.

The most recent to join the invasion call include the judges and commissioners of Collin, Fannin, Leon, Navarro, Shackelford, Somervell and Waller counties.

They are calling on Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to formally declare an invasion and repel it, which he has yet to do. The governor cited the invasion clauses of the Texas Constitution and U.S. Constitution in a Nov. 14 letter to county judges and in a Nov. 16 letter to President Joe Biden. He also wrote letters to the heads of the Texas Military Department and Department of Public Safety.

In his letter to judges, Abbott refers to a July 7 executive order he issued two days after the judges of Kinney, Goliad and Terrell first declared an invasion. The executive order doesn’t declare an invasion, it authorizes Texas law enforcement officers to apprehend illegal foreign nationals and return them to ports of entry. After Abbott tweeted content from part of the letter to judges without providing context, many misreported that he declared an invasion.

As a Trinity University professor explained to KSAT News, “You can’t declare the invasion via Twitter.
