Governor Throws Biden’s ‘Flying Migrants to Florida’ Ploy Back in Joe’s Face

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday floated sending migrants to President Biden’s home state of Delaware, in response to the dozens of migrant flights DeSantis says have landed in Florida at the behest of the Biden administration.

“If they’re going to come here, we’ll provide buses,” DeSantis said of the migrants on the flights. “I will send them to Delaware and do that.”

“If he’s not going to support the border being secure, then he should be able to have everyone there,” he said.

The Republican governor has been ramping up his battle with the administration over migrant flights into Jacksonville. His office told The Washington Examiner that there have been more than 70 flights of migrants into the Sunshine State since the summer.

The Examiner reported that officials said the Biden administration has refused to tell the governor’s office about who is facilitating the flights and other information. DeSantis told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that the flights operate in the late hours of the night at “one or two or three in the morning.” He added that the flights were “unannounced” and he was given “no notice” and thus no ability to veto the flights. Months After Migrant Surge, DHS Rewards Haiti With Eligibility for Guest Worker Visa Programs

The Department of Homeland Security said in a Federal Register notice on Wednesday that it is making Haiti eligible once again for two guest worker visa programs, despite being removed under the Trump administration over cases of fraud and the significant number of overstays.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas “has determined, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State, that Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Cyprus, the Dominican Republic (currently only eligible for H-2A), Haiti, Mauritius, and Saint Lucia should be designated as eligible countries to participate in the H-2A and H-2B non-immigrant visa programs because the participation of these countries is in the U.S. interest consistent with the regulations governing these programs,” the notice states.

The Department claimed adding Haiti back to these two programs “serves U.S. interest and is consistent with the whole-of-government efforts to address the root causes of irregular migration and create lawful pathways for a safe, orderly, and legal migration.”

The notice pointed to Haitians’ ability to “contribute to the U.S. economy” and bring their earnings and skills home to help rebuild Haiti’s society, furthering its stabilization. (Read more from “Months After Migrant Surge, DHS Rewards Haiti With Eligibility for Guest Worker Visa Programs” HERE)

Flip Flop? White House Admits Border Crossers Could Be Paid off After Biden Said ‘That’s Not Going to Happen’; House GOP Trying to Block Potential Payouts (VIDEO)

By Breitbart. A day after President Joe Biden denied that border crossers could be paid off nearly half a million each as part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) settlement, his White House admits that such payouts will happen “if it saves taxpayer dollars.”

Last month, reports circulated that Biden’s DOJ, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) were working to settle with a number of border crossers represented by the ACLU, who claim they have suffered trauma as a result of former President Donald Trump’s “Zero Tolerance” policy that was briefly imposed in 2019.

As part of the settlement, attorneys with the DOJ, DHS, and HHS are considering a plan that would give each border crosser about $450,000 and family units about $1 million. The total cost of the payouts would reach $1 billion. . .

On Thursday, though, White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed border crossers could secure payouts “if it saves taxpayer dollars” and suggested that Biden does not have much say in a DOJ settlement despite his comments on the issue.

“If it saves taxpayer dollars and puts the disastrous of the previous administration … and family separation behind us, the president is perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the families who are currently in litigation with the U.S. government,” Jean-Pierre said. House GOP Trying to Block Potential $450K Payouts to Separated Migrants

By New York Post. House Republicans introduced a bill Thursday that would block potential payouts to members of illegal immigrant families separated at the border under the Trump administration.

The bill, known as the Illegal Immigration Payoff Prohibition Act, was introduced by Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.), ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship, and will look to amend 28 USC 2414, which gives the attorney general the power to enter settlement agreements.

Co-sponsored by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) as part of a total of 146 co-sponsors, the bill is looking to block the attorney general from making any payouts to illegal immigrants that are connected to violations of immigration laws, such as “the provision of law that criminalizes illegal border crossing” and “the provision of law deems an individual inadmissible for attempting to enter the country illegally at a port of entry.”

The bill comes one week after the Wall Street Journal reported the administration is considering settling lawsuits filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and others on behalf of families who crossed into the US from Mexico illegally to seek asylum.

According to the report, the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering $450,000 payments per person — around $1 million per family. (Read more from “House GOP Trying to Block Potential $450k Payouts to Separated Migrants” HERE)

Illegal Alien Who Posed as Unaccompanied Minor While Crossing Border Charged With Murder

A 24-year-old Honduran immigrant who’s charged with murder in the brutal stabbing death of a Florida man had crossed the US border illegally months earlier while posing as an unaccompanied minor, an investigation by The Post found.

Yery Noel Medina Ulloa was busted Oct. 7 in Jacksonville when he was found covered in blood after allegedly killing Francisco Javier Cuellar, 46, a father of four who had taken in the immigrant who told authorities he was 17.

Police said they followed a trail of blood back to the victim’s home and arrested Ulloa, placing him in a juvenile detention facility.

It wasn’t until Oct. 13 that authorities learned his real identity — and his true age.

Ulloa, who turned 24 on Friday, had duped border authorities in Texas several months earlier by claiming he was a teenager named Reynel Alexander Hernandez — and even told his mom about the ruse. Video: Migrant Caravan Bulldoze Mexican National Guard; Organizer Says Biden Admin’s Policies Pulling Illegal Aliens to U.S. ‘Like Cattle’

Several thousand migrants from Haiti, South America, and Central America are making their way north to the southern border of the United States. Mexican law enforcement attempted to utilize a roadblock to stop the massive migrant caravan in southern Mexico, but the migrants easily steamrolled their way past the large group of officers.

Approximately 3,000 migrants marched in the southern Mexican city of Tapachula – about 10 miles from the Guatemala border. There are reports that members of the caravan were carrying signs with President Joe Biden’s name on them, including one that read: “Joe Biden Is For All.”

Caravan organizer Irineo Mujica said the Biden administration’s immigration policies are pulling migrants to the U.S. “like cattle.”

Mujica said the migrants should be given an opportunity to work in Mexico “because a lot of them don’t want to be brought to the U.S. but the Biden administration, with this administration, it’s like pulling them like cattle, first they come to this jail and then they go to the northern border.” (Read more from “Video: Migrant Caravan Bulldoze Mexican National Guard; Organizer Says Biden Admin’s Policies Pulling Illegal Aliens to U.S. ‘Like Cattle’” HERE)

Border Patrol Arrests Hit Highest Since 1986

Arrests by Border Patrol have soared to the highest levels since 1986, according to Customs and Border Patrol data.

U.S. authorities detained more than 1.7 million migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border during the 2021 fiscal year, which ended in September, according to CBP data obtained by the Washington Post.

Historical data shows that Border Patrol made 1.69 million arrests nationwide in 1986, the outlet reported. The data, however, doesn’t show how many of those arrests were made along the border.

President Ronald Reagan signed a sweeping immigration reform bill into law in 1986, which provided a pathway to citizenship for immigrants who had entered the country before 1982. The bill also tightened up border security and penalized employers who hired illegal immigrants.

CBP’s Rio Grande Valley sector came in with the most arrests, at 549,000 Border Patrol apprehensions. While the Del Rio sector had 259,000 apprehensions. (Read more from “Border Patrol Arrests Hit Highest Since 1986” HERE)

Whistleblower: Biden Admin Released 16K COVID-Positive Illegals Into U.S.

More than 16,000 migrants who tested positive for COVID-19 while in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody were released into the United States, according to an agency law enforcement source. The Biden administration did not mandate any of the migrants to be vaccinated before their release. The source informs Breitbart Texas that the figures only include those migrants who were tested by ICE.

The source, not authorized to speak to the media, says the migrants ranged from infants to the elderly. A Department of Homeland Security document reviewed by Breitbart Texas reports the oldest released migrants were over 85 years old. Nearly 1,300 were under the age of ten.

Nearly 12,000 of the migrants who tested positive for COVID-19 and were released into the U.S. were between 18 and 40 years of age, more than 11,800 were male, nearly 1,300 were under the age of ten, and more than 6,000 were between 20 and 29 years old. . .

The totals do not include the thousands of untested migrants released directly by the Border Patrol. The Border Patrol testing of migrants has been limited to unaccompanied migrant children later turned over to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Biden Flip-Flops, Now Reinstating Trump’s ‘Remain-in-Mexico’ Policy

President Biden used some of his important first hours in office last winter to try to undo President Trump’s largely successful efforts at shutting off the flow of illegal aliens coming into the U.S. across its southern border.

Besides halting plans to continue building physical barriers on the border, Biden dropped President Trump’s “remain-in-Mexico” policy through which those seeking asylum remained in Mexico until hearings before a U.S. immigration court.

The U.S. Supreme Court earlier ruled that was a decision Biden mishandled, and now the president is admitting defeat and plans to reinstate it.

The Daily Mail reports the actual result now will depend on approval from the Mexican government, which has raised some issues U.S. officials say they are trying to address.

“Mexico wants cases to generally conclude within six months and ensure that asylum-seekers have timely and accurate information about hearing dates and times and better access to legal counsel,” the report explained. Governor Sues Biden Admin Over ‘Destructive and Illegal’ Border Policy

Florida governor Ron DeSantis filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration on Tuesday on behalf of the state of Florida, claiming that the “ideological” Biden White House is pursuing a “destructive and illegal” catch-and-release border policy that is leaving Florida’s citizens vulnerable.

Speaking alongside Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody Tuesday afternoon in Fort Meyers, DeSantis called the Biden administration policy, which has led to a record number of illegal alien encounters with United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in recent months — and more than 1 million encounters in 2021 — a “total disaster.”

He specifically targeted the Biden administration’s unofficial “catch-and-release” policy, which allows captured illegal immigrants who claim asylum to remain in the United States until their claims can be heard in an immigration court — sometimes a matter of months. The policy runs counter to the Trump administration’s solution, which had prospective asylum seekers remaining in Mexico until their claims could be assessed.

Biden’s policy, DeSantis claims, has sent unscreened illegal immigrants into Florida — on purpose.

“I think this is intentional, I think this is ideological,” DeSantis said at the conference Tuesday. “They want a massive illegal migration into this country.” (Read more from “Governor Sues Biden Admin Over ‘Destructive and Illegal’ Border Policy” HERE)

Homeland Security Secretary Admits To Releasing 12K Haitian Illegals in the U.S.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted on Sunday that more than 12,000 Haitian migrants who had been camped out under a bridge near Del Rio, Texas, have been released into the US and more may follow them.

He told “Fox News Sunday” that there are about 12,400 Haitians in the process of having asylum claims heard by an immigration judge, while around 5,000 are being processed by the Department of Homeland Security.

About 3,000 are being detained.

“Approximately, I think it’s about 10,000 or so, 12,000,” Mayorkas responded when asked how many migrants have already been released.

He added that the number could go beyond 5,000 as other cases are processed. (Read more from “Homeland Security Secretary Admits To Releasing 12K Haitian Illegals in the U.S.” HERE)
