Border Town’s Police Department Make Shocking Discovery About COVID-Positive Illegal Aliens

The La Joya Police Department released a statement on Monday telling their border town residents about how they had discovered COVID-positive illegal immigrants were being released by U.S. immigration authorities as the town continues to grapple with the surge of illegal border crossings.

La Joya Police, whose town is located right on the Rio Grande, said they received a call from a resident complaining about how there was a family at a local Whataburger who appeared to be sick, coughing and sneezing, and were not wearing masks.

The officer discovered the family unit had recently crossed into the United States, had COVID-19, had been released by Border Patrol, and were staying at a local hotel with the help of a local charity:

“The Officer approached the family and was told by them that they had been apprehended by Border Patrol days prior and were released because they were sick with Covid-19. . .

“Officers also observed that a group of 20 to 30 people staying at the hotel were out and about the majority without face masks. It was also learned that people being detained by Border Patrol that showed symptoms of illness or were positive for Covid -19 were being quarantined by the agency and then later they were given custody to Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley to be placed in hotels in the McAllen area as well as La Joya.”

Report: More Than 50,000 Illegal Aliens Caught and Released by Biden Administration

Catch-and-release is alive and well under the Biden administration as 50,000 migrants who crossed the southern border illegally have been released into the U.S. without a court date. Though migrants are told to report to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office after they are released from detention, only 13% have done so, Axios reported Tuesday.

The report comes as record numbers of migrants are seeking illegal entry into the United States. Southwest land border encounters have been steadily increasing since President Joe Biden assumed office in January, with 188,829 encounters reported in June, the highest number in decades.

According to Chief Patrol Agent Brian Hastings, who is in charge of border patrol in the Rio Grande Valley, border agents made 20,000 apprehensions in the area in just one week.

Between mid-March and mid-July, only 6,700 migrants who crossed the southern border followed instructions and showed up at ICE offices to obtain work permits. Data from the Department of Homeland Security shared with Axios indicates 16,000 migrants have not reported to ICE offices within the 60-day timeframe they were given.

Another estimated 27,000 migrants who were apprehended at the border and then released have yet to appear at an ICE office but still have time to do so before their 60 days are up. An official for DHS emphasized that nearly 70% of illegal immigrants are still within the 60-day window to appear at an ICE office, but that doesn’t mean they’ll show up. U.S. Announces COVID Travel Restrictions To Stay, No Halt To Illegal Alien Crossings

Citing concerns over the Delta variant of the Wuhan coronavirus, federal officials announced Monday that there would be no changes to longstanding U.S. travel restrictions that have kept most international travelers from entering the United States.

“Given where we are today with the Delta variant, the United States will maintain existing travel restrictions at this point,” explained an official, according to an exclusive Reuters report. “Driven by the Delta variant, cases are rising here at home, particularly among those who are unvaccinated and appear likely [to] continue to increase in the weeks ahead.” . . .

Yet illegal immigrants, whose previous whereabouts and COVID or vaccine status are unknown, are still streaming across the border at historic rates as the Biden administration fails to address the crisis their policies created.

Just last week, U.S. officials declared that America’s land borders with Canada and Mexico would remain closed, apparently only to legal border-crossers, as pictures and footage of illegal immigrants amassed along the U.S.-Mexico border showed American officials letting in untested migrants by the hundreds.

Texas Has Had It With Biden’s Border Crisis – Governor Abbott Is Taking Matter Into His Own Hands

There is nothing like watching real Patriots stand up and make a difference. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that Texas law enforcement has begun arresting illegal immigrants for trespassing.

“President Biden’s open-border policies have led to a humanitarian crisis at our southern border as record levels of illegal immigrants, drugs, and contraband pour into Texas,” Abbott said in a June 10 statement. “While securing the border is the federal government’s responsibility, Texas will not sit idly by as this crisis grows. The state is working collaboratively with communities impacted by the crisis to arrest and detain individuals coming into Texas illegally.”

“Texas has begun arresting illegal immigrants who are trespassing in Texas or vandalizing property & fences. They are now being sent to this jail rather than being released like the Biden Admin has been doing. We are adding more officers, National Guard & jails,” Abbott said Thursday.

Thus far, roughly 10 people, all single, adult men, have been arrested and thrown into the hoosegow, with more to come, authorities said Thursday. The jailbirds are being held at what had been a heretofore empty state prison in Dilley, Texas, which lies about 100 miles north of the border town of Laredo. The converted facility will be able to hold just over 950 people. Clearly not the “American dream” they’d hoped for, but that’s what happens when you enter Texas illegally. Texas authorities are expecting to arrest between 100 and 200 trespassers per day. Alarming Analysis: Joe Biden ‘Set to Surge’ Illegal Alien Population Across U.S.

President Joe Biden is “set to surge” the number of illegal aliens living across the United States, new analysis provided to Breitbart News details.

The analysis, conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), projects that the nation’s illegal alien population will increase dramatically as a result of Biden’s mass migration agenda where border crossers are routinely being released into the U.S. interior, most illegal aliens are evading deportation, and there are no plans for a crackdown on visa overstays.

The illegal alien population “could exceed 20 million” if Biden “implements all of his preferred policies” by the end of 2024, the analysis estimates.

“… the illegal alien population is set to surge under the Biden administration,” FAIR’s analysis states.

As evidence, FAIR notes that even as former President Donald Trump implemented strict border controls, boosted deportations of illegal aliens, and closed a number of visa loopholes, the illegal alien population “grew considerably” from their estimate of 12.5 million at the start of 2017 to 14.5 million by the end of 2020. Data Shows Illegal Border Crossings on Pace To Top 1M This Month

More than 1 million illegal crossings of the US-Mexico border will have been attempted over the first seven months of 2021, preliminary data indicates — defying expectations that the illegal immigration crisis would ease as temperatures climbed.

While US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have yet to release the official number of border encounters that took place last month, The Washington Examiner reported that initial calculations put the total at 188,000, an increase of just over 4 percent from the 180,034 apprehended in May.

If confirmed, the number of southwestern border stops would be the most in any month of June for at least 21 years. It would also be an 80 percent increase over the number of apprehensions in June 2019 and a whopping 469 percent increase over the number of encounters in June 2020, when migration patterns were affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Most shockingly, it puts CBP on track to make its 1 millionth border stop of 2021 sometime this month. The last time at least 1 million stops were recorded at the US-Mexico border in a calendar year was in 2006, and the milestone wasn’t reached until December of that year. Human Smugglers Toss Infants Into Texas Border River

Border Patrol agents and Coast Guard crews rescued migrants across the Rio Grande Valley Sector after human smugglers put them in jeopardy. In multiple incidents, smugglers moved women, children, and even infants into the river that separates Texas and Mexico. One woman was saved after an alleged sexual assault attempt.

McAllen Station Border Patrol agents encountered a female migrant on Monday evening who ran toward them. The woman told the agents she had just escaped from an attacker, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

The woman, a Honduran national, had just illegally crossed the border with her husband and a young child, she told the agents. She said the smuggler separated her from her family and told them to hide in a different area. After moving away with the woman, the smuggler forced her to the ground and tore her shirt and pants, officials reported. She began to fight back and eventually escaped and fled to the agents. The agents contacted local law enforcement officials to launch an investigation into the alleged attack. The agents did not find the perpetrator of the assault.

U.S. Coast Guard riverine units patrolling the Rio Grande near Mission, Texas, on Sunday afternoon encountered a raft loaded with nine people, officials stated. The people in the partially deflated raft included a nine-month-old child. . .

The crewmen pulled the nine migrants, including the infant, into their vessel and transported them to the riverbank where Border Patrol agents conducted medical screenings and transported them to the station for processing. Report: Biden Plots End to Border Controls despite Their Popularity

President Joe Biden is plotting an end to border controls that experts have said have kept a lid on a wave of unprecedented illegal immigration. The border controls, polls have shown, are overwhelmingly popular with Americans.

Biden administration officials and those familiar with the plans told the Wall Street Journal that the president is planning to end use of the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Title 42 order for migrant families arriving at the United States-Mexico border while keeping it in place, for the time being, for single adult border crossers. . .

The Journal reports:

The Biden administration is preparing to enact major policy changes at the southern border this summer as officials gradually lift a public-health emergency order that allows immigration agents to turn away most migrants crossing the border illegally, according to administration officials and others familiar with the discussions. The pandemic-era emergency order, known as Title 42, prevents people who illegally enter the U.S. from seeking asylum, instead immediately expelling them to Mexico. The administration plans to stop applying the emergency order to migrant families by the end of July, these people said. Once the order is lifted, families that requested asylum at the border will be permitted to remain in the U.S. for the duration of their cases, which can take years to complete. [Emphasis added]

Congressman Sounds Alarm after Seeing What Happens after Illegal Aliens Flood into America

Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., on Thursday warned that the U.S. has “no operational control” of the border after a trip to Texas in which he and a number of other Republicans saw migrants streaming into the U.S. and being put on flights to other states.

“We have no operational control, no legal control, no law enforcement control of our border,” Good said in an interview with Fox News. “We are not enforcing our laws, we are not preventing people. This is willful and intentional on the part of this administration to facilitate the illegal entry into our country of tens of thousands, 180,000 in [the] month of May…some 700,000 this year, of the ones we’ve apprehended.”

Good and a number of other lawmakers from the Republican Study Committee visited McAllen, Texas this week in a visit that coincided with a visit by former President Donald Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

The 20 Republicans went to the border itself around midnight, and Good described a stream of migrants coming through and turning themselves over to Border Patrol with no effort to evade apprehension — even going so far as to seek out Border Patrol.

Border Heartbreak: Immigration Agents Find 2-Year-Old Abandoned by Side of the Road in Mexico

Immigration agents found a 2-year-old boy abandoned by the side of the road in Mexico after migrants inside a sweltering truck forced​ the driver to let them out because a man had apparently suffocated inside the trailer, the National Migration Institute said Tuesday.

When the agents came upon the truck near Veracruz, they encountered eight migrants who were sprawled on the ground nearby, and not far away, near a guardrail, the boy standing shirtless by himself.

​Littered around the scene were packaged snacks, water bottles, clothes and black trash bags, according to the institute.​

Inside the truck, immigration agents and national guard members found the body of a 25-year-old man who apparently suffocated in the stifling heat, the institute said. ​

The truck was believed to ​have been carrying more than 100 migrants from Central America to the US when people inside the trailer, suffering from the intense heat and lack of air, began banging on the walls and shouting for the driver to pull over.
