By Breitbart. Progressive pro-migration groups have pushed President Joe Biden to announce that he wants to dramatically raise the inflow of refugees up to 62,500 by October 1.

Biden’s decision reverses the April 16 announcement of a 15,000 goal for 2021 that was recommended by his advisers, who are concerned that Biden’s poll numbers will be further damaged amid the migration crisis. The 15,000 goal was bitterly denounced by Democrat-affiliated pro-migration groups, including the FWD.us group of investors created by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

“I now determine, consistent with my Administration’s prior consultation with the Congress, that raising the number of admissions permissible for FY 2021 to 62,500 is justified by grave humanitarian concerns and is otherwise in the national interest,” Biden announced late Monday.

The high goal “sends the important message that the United States remains a safe harbor for some of the most vulnerable people in the world,” Biden’s statement said.

The decision will also help the government and pro-refugee groups boost the refugee inflow to 125,000 migrants next year. DHS Secretary Admits the Truth About Biden’s Border Crisis

By Townhall. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas finally admitted during an interview with CBS This Morning Monday that illegal border crossings have been “extraordinarily high.”

“In late March you are correct, the numbers were extraordinarily high and we had over 5,700 young children, unaccompanied children, in the custody of the Border Patrol,” Mayorkas said, adding that numbers for April 2021 will likely be high. “The numbers remain high. Whether they are as high as March remains undetermined.”

By Breitbart. A group of illegal aliens and open borders activists were arrested on Friday by members of President Joe Biden’s secret service after blocking an intersection near the White House, demanding that Biden give them amnesty to permanently stay in the United States.

A couple of dozen activists affiliated with the open borders organization Movimiento Cosecha sat by a security checkpoint near the White House complex, reportedly delaying Biden’s motorcade, as Secret Service Police officers looked on.

Open Borders Activists: ‘Cops and Borders, We Don’t Need Them! All We Want Is Total Freedom!’

By Breitbart. A group of open borders activists and illegal aliens demanded “total freedom” from both law enforcement and borders during a lengthy demonstration in Washington, DC, Friday, where Secret Service made arrests after activists blocked an intersection near the White House.

Several activists, some of whom are affiliated with the group Movimiento Cosecha, carried megaphones and led the crowd in chants of “Cops and borders we don’t need them. All we want is total freedom!”

According to a release detailing the protest, illegal aliens, DACA recipients, and their allies moved to block traffic around the White House on President Biden’s 100th day of office to protest what they described as “crumbs” from the 78-year-old commander-in-chief and his fellow Democrats.

“President Biden ended his first 100 days in office with broken promises and insufficient action for my community,” Gema Lowe, an organizer with Movimiento Cosecha, said in a statement, criticizing Biden’s pursuit of a “piecemeal” strategy” instead of blanket amnesty — a reference to the Dream and Promise Act, specifically.

“Biden originally committed to a pathway to citizenship for all 11 million undocumented immigrants. Now he is ready to pursue a ‘piecemeal’ strategy instead that would exclude me and millions of others who have lived in this country for decades,” Lowe said. Cartels Offering American Teenagers Money to Smuggle Illegal Aliens

Mexican drug cartels and cartel-associated smuggling networks are now bringing so many illegal immigrants into the United States that they’re putting out ads on TikTok, targeting American teenagers in South Texas with offers of thousands in cash to ferry migrants past U.S. checkpoints just north of the border.

This week Fox News reported on the scheme, including screenshots of TikTok ads offering as much as $3,500 cash for a single trip. One ad reads, “Got another 6 left, already crossed. Lemme know ASAP for that easy cash,” according to Fox News, which also reported that teenagers are in some cases borrowing their parents’ SUVs to smuggle migrants, often without the parents knowing.

The migrants in question are almost certainly single adults trying to evade Border Patrol and slip into the United States undetected. Unlike unaccompanied minors and families, who typically turn themselves in to U.S. authorities after crossing the Rio Grande in hopes of a quick release, adult migrants are likely to be immediately expelled and thus often try to avoid detection.

For all the media coverage that migrant minors and families have gotten in recent months, single adults have made up a far greater share of illegal immigrants coming across the southwest border this fiscal year. Since October 2020, Border Patrol has encountered more than 400,000 single adults crossing the border illegally, compared to approximately 140,000 minors and families. Biden Administration Bans the Phrase Illegal Alien

On Monday, President Biden’s acting directors of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) distributed memoranda that once again show how out of touch the Administration is. In the middle of the worst border crisis in decades, with rampant abuse of the asylum system and record numbers of border apprehensions, they decided to take action to ban officers from using the phrase “illegal alien.”

This gesture speaks volumes. To the Biden administration, politically correct terminology is more important than securing the border. At a time when morale among ICE and Border Patrol officers is flagging, their political overlords signal the Administration’s disdain for the very laws that those officers have devoted their careers to enforcing.

The move also displays the legal ignorance of the Biden administration. The term “illegal alien” is not a derogatory term invented by those of us who favor border enforcement. It is a legal phrase that has long been found in federal law. You can find examples at 8 U.S.C. § 1356(r)(3)(ii) (“expenses associated with the detention of illegal aliens”); 8 U.S.C. § 1366(1) (“the number of illegal aliens incarcerated”); and 8 U.S.C. § 1252c (“to arrest and detain certain illegal aliens”).

In contrast, the politically-correct phrase that the Biden Administration is ordering officers to use—“undocumented migrant”—is found nowhere in federal law. Moreover, “undocumented migrant” is a contradiction in terms. Calling an illegal alien an undocumented migrant is like calling a thief an undocumented owner. Biden Spending $352 A Night In Hotels For 80,000 Illegal Aliens

The White House is spending close to $352 a night to provide beds to the estimated 80,000 migrant families expected to flood the border from now until September, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement document obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The contract rents out hotels in Texas and Arizona for six and a half months — 199 days. In these hotels, 1,239 beds will be occupied by those participating in the border surge, which the government dubs “emergency family reception sites.” After three days of sleeping in the hotel, migrant families who entered the country illegally will then be freed into the United States with a court date to be determined.

The initiative is part of an approximately $87 million contract ICE awarded to Family Endeavors, a San Antonio, Texas non-profit that has a former senior official on the Biden transition team, Andrew Lorenzen-Strait. No bids were solicited for the contract.

“In terms of solving the problem, it’s like roasting marshmallows at the scene of the fire,” James Carafano, a national security scholar at The Heritage Foundation told The Federalist. “All that money will do nothing to bring the border under control. You’re burning through an enormous amount of cash, which facilitates more illegal immigration …The potential risk of COVID adds to costs. The cartels are profiting off this to buy fentanyl.”

Shocking Numbers: U.S. Spends $6 Million Per Day to House Unaccompanied Migrant Children; Where’s Kamala? Biden’s Border Point Person Can’t Be Bothered To Show Up.

By Breitbart. According to Health and Human Services, the federal government is detaining more than 20,000 unaccompanied migrant children nationwide. To accommodate the latest surge, HHS opened 13 new detention facilities since March 1 and are designed to house the children until sponsors receive them.

According to the latest HHS data, they hold 16,000 unaccompanied children and another 4,000 are about to be transferred from Border Patrol custody. The HHS estimates the cost to detain a child in the newest facilities, which they refer to as Emergency Intake Sites (EIS), is $775 per day. In other long-term facilities, they indicate that cost to be approximately $275 per day. The temporary shelter numbers are those in excess of 13,500 permanent facility beds, meaning the agency is spending nearly $4 million a day on long-term UACs and nearly $2 million per day on EIS shelters. This does not account for the expenditures by the Border Patrol to detain the additional 4,000 UACs.

According to HHS, the EIS shelters being brought into service will provide required standards of care for children, such as providing clean and comfortable sleeping quarters, meals, toiletries, laundry, and access to medical services. A COVID-19 health screening protocol for all children will reportedly be implemented to follow CDC guidelines for preventing and controlling communicable diseases. Services will be provided by a combination of contractors and federal staff – including teams from the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Now it’s Kamala Harris’ problem, too. Two weeks ago, Biden named Harris as his “point person” to address the ongoing surge of men, women and children flooding our immigration system. Given the scale of the crisis – exemplified by children being thrown over walls and the clear potential of a COVID-19 super-spreading event – one would expect the vice president to immediately jump on Air Force Two and get to the border. Right? 

Wrong. Instead, she’s joining her boss in refusing to go see the crisis that their reckless, backward policies have created. Maybe she doesn’t want pictures next to the children sleeping in cages. Maybe she’s too busy complaining about living in a 70,000-square-foot mansion (seriously).

Harris hasn’t even taken the time to hold a press conference since allegedly taking charge of the border situation. She is working harder on avoiding accountability for the crisis than she is on trying to fix it.  . .

Harris’ failure to do even the bare minimum – just showing up – is an insult to the people working overtime at the border to care for the thousands of unaccompanied children that are here due to her administration’s policies. Biden’s Border Crisis Is The Largest Influx Of Illegal Aliens In Over 20 Years

U.S. Customs and Border Protection took more than 172,000 illegal aliens into custody in March, making it the busiest month for the agency in more than 20 years.

While nearly 53,000 of these migrants were members of family units, a record-breaking 18,890 were unaccompanied teens and children, many of whom were packed into overcrowded shelters plagued by COVID-19 spread and “dangerous” conditions for longer than the 72-hour limit permitted by federal law. Despite the Biden administration’s claims that many of those crossing the southern border are coming to the United States to seek shelter and help over gang violence and hurricane-stricken countries, the largest number of border crossings during the last month were committed by more than 99,000 single adults, many of whom are not asylum-seekers.

While the Biden administration has repeatedly denied that there’s a border crisis and blamed the abrupt migration influx on normal seasonal surges, the high numbers of illegal border crossings since the president assumed office has grown exponentially. Increases even between February and March data forced the CBP to stretch its chart to accommodate the largest numbers it has seen in at least two decades. Border Patrol Arrests Two Illegal Aliens On FBI Terror Watch List

Two illegal immigrants from Yemen have been arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection near Calexico, California. Both men were included on the FBI’s Terrorism Watch List and No-Fly list, CBP reported.

A 33-year-old and 26-year-old, both males, were apprehended in the past few months who appeared on both government watch lists. The older man was arrested during the night of January 29, during which border patrol agents “found a cellular phone sim card hidden underneath the insole of his shoe.” He was transferred into the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The second illegal alien was arrested in late March and is in “federal custody pending removal.”

“Part of the Border Patrol’s mission states we will protect the country from terrorists,” Chief Patrol Agent Gregory K. Bovino said in a press release. “Today, like every other day, our agents did that. Report: Human Traffickers Using Facebook To Advertise U.S.-Mexico Border Services

NBC News reports Monday that human traffickers are “openly advertising their services on Facebook” to would-be migrants from Central America, promising safe passage over the United States-Mexico border, and “fueling false hope” that the new Biden administration will be welcoming to asylum seekers.

“While the use of social media by smugglers is not new, the practice is growing, fueling false hope as more migrants fall prey to misinformation about how the Biden administration will welcome them, according to Department of Homeland Security officials, immigration experts, and lawyers,” the outlet reported, suggesting that the sudden influx of unaccompanied minors, asylum-seeking families, and illegal border-crossers may be fueled by a social media advertising blitz.

“Travel to Mexico to the United States. Costs $8,000. 100 percent safe,” one ad, translated from Spanish and viewed by NBC News, reads. “Cross through Matamoros. You walk one hour, after in automobile until you arrive to your relative.”

“Make your dream a reality in the United States. Border Patrol Official Tells ‘Harrowing Stories’ of Sexual Abuse Children Are Experiencing on Journey to U.S. (VIDEO)

The Biden administration finally allowed reporters into a Customs and Border Protection facility in Donna, Texas, on Tuesday where more than 4,000 individuals are crowded into a space that’s only intended for 250 people. Most there are children, and in a video Reuters posted on Twitter, Oscar Escamilla, the acting executive officer for Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley operations, shared some of the heartbreaking stories he’s hearing from them.

He said about six weeks ago he spoke to “one of the little girls” in the facility who he said they were ready to send to the hospital. He said he noticed she couldn’t speak, so he asked the medical team there what had happened. They explained the reason she was going to the hospital is because she had gotten gang raped along the way to the border.

“The reason she couldn’t speak was because she had lost her voice in the process of while she was getting raped. Those things hit hard. These kids cross by themselves. Obviously, the parent pays a fee to the smuggler, the cartel member or the smuggler at this point will bring the kid over …,” he told Reuters. . .

“I asked her what state are you going to? What’s your final destination? And she said, ‘I don’t know. All I know is that it snows there, that’s all I know.’”
