Residents Revolt: 'What We See is Invasion, Deliberate Invasion'…

By Steve Pickett.

With the threat of a so-called “immigrant tsunami,” Collin County Commissioner Mark Reid invited the public to attend commissioner’s court on Monday –- and they did.

It was standing room only at the county building, as people sounded off about housing immigrant children, despite there being no current plans to do so in Collin County.

Residents packed the meeting, with an overwhelming majority speaking out against any plan to bring children to the county. There are plans to house as many as 2,000 children in nearby Dallas County.

Commissioners are discussing a resolution that says housing minors suspected of being in the U.S. illegally is not in the best interests of our citizens.

Obama mum on where illegal immigrant children are sheltered

By S.A. Miller.

The Obama administration is concealing key details about its response to the surge of unaccompanied children illegally crossing the southern border, including where the unaccompanied minors are being sheltered and the circumstances under which some are set free inside the U.S.

Lawmakers on Capitol Hill say the lack of information has handicapped their push to pass legislation to gain a handle on the surge — a debate taking place this week in both chambers.

“We’re getting almost no information, and there is all kinds of conflicting information,” said Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, who for months has been hounding the administration for answers about where unaccompanied minors, who crossed the border without their parents, are detained and released.

The Department of Health and Human Services, which is bound by law to house and care for unaccompanied children and teens from Central America, rebuffed repeated inquires from The Washington Times about the location of shelters where many of the children are detained.

“We do not identify the approximately 100 regular/permanent Unaccompanied Alien Children program shelters for the safety and security of minors and staff at the facilities,” Kenneth Wolfe, deputy director of communication for HHS’ Administration for Children and Families, said in an email.

Illegal Immigrants Protest Outside White House, with Little Fear of Repercussions

Illegal immigrant demonstrators were protesting outside the White House on Monday – but don’t expect America’s immigration officers to intervene.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement official indicated that even if the protesters end up getting arrested by D.C. police, they’d have to be serious criminals for ICE to get involved.

“Unless the individuals meet ICE’s enforcement priorities, it’s unlikely that the agency would get involved in the case,” the official told FoxNews.com.

Boehner Doesn’t Mention Immigration In Op-Ed On Obama Lawsuit

By Matthew Boyle.

President Obama is practically shouting from the rooftops that he’s about to grant a new unilateral amnesty to as many as six million illegal aliens, but the topic of immigration does not come up in a new op-ed from Speaker John Boehner explaining his lawsuit against Obama for lawlessness.

In the op-ed, Boehner explains why he chose to focus the lawsuit only on Obamacare.

“On the advice of legal experts, the House action will focus on his decision to extend–twice–the deadline to institute the employer mandate in his healthcare law,” Boehner wrote. “We believe this targeted lawsuit offers the best chance of success.”

Miller Blasts Obama Plan to Circumvent Congress on Illegal Immigration as Criminal; Calls on GOP Opponents to Support Impeachment

10513419_859097640768782_7393880810506220822_nToday Joe Miller decried the Obama Administration’s latest plan for unilateral action on the illegal immigration crisis as further evidence of the President’s lawlessness. He then called on his Republican opponents to support impeachment.

Miller’s comments come in response to a report in the Christian Science Monitor that the Obama Administration intends to block deportation and repatriation of illegals through executive action under a pretext of prosecutorial discretion. The plan would purportedly expand illegal immigrant “rights,” complicating law enforcement at the borders.

“We are a nation of laws, and this President continues to undermine the rule of law,” said Miller. “Where does it end? If he can decide which laws he will and will not enforce, can unilaterally create laws, and simply ignore Congressional action, then we no longer have a democratic Republic. Let’s call it what it is. It’s criminal.”

Miller continued, “This Administration’s refusal to respect our Constitution and the laws that our duly elected Congress enacts is beginning to resemble the ‘long train of abuses’ that the Founders said the people have a duty to resist. It’s time for the cheap talk to end. It’s time to hold the President accountable to the law, rally around our Constitution, and preserve the republic.”

“I’m calling on Mr. Treadwell and Mr. Sullivan to join me and patriots around the country in support of impeachment,” Miller said.

The Public Rejects Obama’s Immigration Policies

President Barack Obama is pushing for a huge amnesty in the weeks before Americans go to the polls, but a new poll shows that the swing-voters are deeply hostile to his immigration policies and to illegal immigration, and are growing very worried about legal immigration.

Only seven percent of swing-voting independents say the 50,000-plus Central American youths who have crossed the Texas border under Obama’s oversight (since October) should be allowed to stay, according to the poll released on July 28 by YouGov and The Economist.

Eighty percent of independents say the youths should be returned now, or once conditions are safe in their home country, the survey said. The score for independents are critical, because their votes are up for grabs in the November election, which may give the GOP a majority in the Senate.

The poll suggests that Obama’s conditional support for the migrants is damaging his already-weak public polls. It also shows that a large majority of the public will oppose his developing plan to provide work-permits to roughly five million illegal immigrants amid a stalled economy and massive unemployment.

Obama’s immigration policies are backed by only 32 percent of independents. He’s also backed by only 62 percent of Democrats, 21 percent of independents, 32 percent of moderates, 42 percent of Hispanics, and 23 percent of whites.

Ted Cruz Has A Great Solution For The Border Crisis – And It Involves Abolishing The IRS

By Jennifer Van Laar.

Senator Ted Cruz spoke to over 3,500 people in Denver this weekend and proposed a two-birds-with-one-stone solution to tax reform and border security.

“The simplest road to tax reform is to abolish the IRS and move to simple flat tax (sic),” said Cruz.

As for what to do with 110,000 out of work IRS agents, Cruz said “we can always put them on our southern border. Seeing so many IRS agents would scare off anyone who wanted to come to America,” he told the crowd.

Ted Cruz’s father sparks revival spirit during tea party rally

By Brian Wilson.

The father of conservative firebrand U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz roused a crowd of tea party supporters with stories of his journey to the United States and his call for constitutional conservatism.

Rafael Cruz, pastor of Purifying Fire Ministries in suburban Dallas, received multiple standing ovations throughout his speech, delivered at a We the People rally organized by the Nashville Tea Party at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel on Saturday afternoon.

The Cuban native spent much of his lecture analyzing the merits of Declaration of Independence and accusing the federal government of straying from it. He also said how his beliefs are inspired by the same wellsprings as his son, the Texas senator who has enthused some conservatives enough to call on him to run for president.

“That passion has been like fire in him, and let me tell you, that fire has been as alive 32 years ago as it is today,” Cruz said. “That’s why I know he’s not going to compromise in Washington.”

Boom: Harry Reid Tried To Silence Ted Cruz And It Completely Backfired In His Face

A Senate debate between pro-amnesty Democrats and Republicans who favor a secure border continued Thursday when Majority Leader Harry Reid trashed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s latest proposal.

The Texas Republican is pushing a bill that would end the de facto amnesty Barack Obama extended in 2012 to illegals who arrived in the U.S. as minors.

While Obama’s unilateral move resulted in deferred action in the case of illegals under a certain age who crossed the border as a child and maintained certain requirements while living in the U.S., Cruz contended that this policy has attracted the tens of thousands of Central American minors currently flooding the Mexican border.

In his response, Reid suggested that the executive order automatically legitimized these illegals, making them impervious to deportation efforts.

The Odd Book One Texas Rancher Found Near the Border (+video)

An Urdu-to-English dictionary was not something Mike Vickers expected to find on the rocky earth underneath the cattle fencing around his 1,000-acre Texas ranch.

Yet there it was — dropped, Vickers guesses, when its carrier got zapped by his fence’s electricity, and adding yet another dimension to the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border, where tens of thousands of people have been flooding into the United States.

Vickers’ property line runs along Highway 281, just 4 1/2 miles north from the Falfurrias Border Patrol station. The station itself is about 70 miles north of the Rio Grande, the first highway checkpoint for vehicles coming from Mexico in an area known for heavy illegal alien and drug trafficking. Instead of moving through the checkpoint, however, Vickers said that up to 30 people cross his property every day to try to evade the Border Patrol. Years ago, it was only a handful a day.

While local ranchers have to contend with torn-up fences, broken water lines, contaminated wells and robbery on a daily basis from illegal immigrants streaming through, a Texas Border Patrol agent told TheBlaze there is “no doubt” that among the hordes of Central Americans are also crossers from Pakistan and Afghanistan, raising significant national security concerns.

Hundreds of Cities Fight Back Against 'Invasion'

By Leo Hohmann.

A massive protest scheduled for July 18 and 19 across the United States is aimed at stopping the influx of Central American children flooding across the border, and more than a dozen smaller community protests already have played roles in stopping the children from being brought there.

Citizens in Westminster, Maryland; Oracle, Arizona; Vassar, Michigan; Greece, New York, and many other places have blocked the importation of illegal aliens into their communities through public protests, letters and official resolutions from elected leaders.

Radio host Rush Limbaugh led his show Tuesday with stories about the successful pushback against the illegals going on across America.

“Here’s what you do not know,” he said. “There are towns all over America standing up to this invasion, just like they did in Murrieta, California. You’re not hearing about it, however, and I am here to tell you why you’re not hearing about it. Westminster, Maryland, is a town standing up to it, just like Murrieta, California, did. Oracle, Arizona, is standing up to it.

“In Nebraska they’re gonna stand up to it when they find out. The governor is fit to be tied,” Limbaugh continued. “Upper Michigan, same thing. There are towns all over America standing up to this. There are protests happening, but they’re not being covered.”

Reid: Southern border is secure

By Alexander Bolton.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday asserted the southern border is secure despite the massive surge of illegal minors from Central America that has overwhelmed federal agencies.

“The border is secure,” he told reporters after the Senate Democrats’ weekly policy lunch. “[Sen.] Martin Heinrich [(D-N.M.)] talked to the caucus today. He’s a border state senator. He said he can say without any equivocation the border is secure.”

Reid said lawmakers need to worry less about border security and focus instead on President Obama’s $3.7 billion request to help process the tens of thousands of children from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador who have been apprehended on the border.

Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson warned Congress last week that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is due to run out of money by mid-August because of the large number of minors attempting to cross into Texas. He said Customs and Border Protection would run out of funding by mid-September.

He estimated that as many as 90,000 illegal minors would be apprehended by the end of September.

SESSIONS WARNS ALL OF CONGRESS: OBAMA’S NEW IMMIGRATION STRATEGY ‘THREATENS FOUNDATION OF OUR CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC’

By Matthew Boyle.

Senate Budget Committee ranking member Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) has warned all of his colleagues in Congress that President Barack Obama’s new immigration strategy—his plans to legalize millions of illegal alien adults through executive power—could destroy America as we know it.

“I write to inform you of a development that threatens the foundation of our constitutional Republic,” Sessions, Congress’s top immigration hawk, wrote in a letter that was hand-delivered to all 535 members of Congress on Monday and provided exclusively to Breitbart News.

Sessions cites a recent report from the National Journal, in which reporter Major Garrett detailed how, despite the ongoing crisis at the border, Obama plans to legalize anywhere from five to six million illegal alien adults in much the same way he did for illegal alien minors through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in summer 2012.

“Obama made it clear he would press his executive powers to the limit,” Garrett wrote on July 3, as cited by Sessions. “He gave quiet credence to recommendations from La Raza and other immigration groups that between 5 million to 6 million adult illegal immigrants could be spared deportation under a similar form of deferred adjudication he ordered for the so-called Dreamers in June 2012.”

Sessions cites another paragraph from that National Journal piece as well, in which Garrett reported that President Obama has “now ordered the Homeland Security and Justice departments to find executive authorities that could enlarge that non-prosecutorial umbrella by a factor of 10.”

Message to the Feds: We Will Not Host Illegal Children in Our States

Photo Credit: Steve Pope / GettyIowa Governor: I Do Not Want To House Immigrant Children In My State

By CBSDC/AP.

Gov. Terry Branstad said Monday that he does not want Iowa to host any of the thousands of children from Central America who have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border alone.

During a news conference, Branstad said he was not aware of any of the children currently living in Iowa and that state has not been contacted by the federal government about housing any immigrant children. He said the government’s focus should be on securing the borders.

“The first thing we need to do is secure the border. I do have empathy for these kids,” Branstad said. “But I also don’t want to send the signal that (you) send your kids to America illegally. That’s not the right message.”

Nebraska gov, Illinois senator say White House sending illegal immigrant children to their states without notice

By Fox News.

Elected officials in two states far from the U.S.-Mexico border have claimed that the Obama administration has resettled hundreds of unaccompanied illegal immigrant children without adequate notice and has refused to detail the exact locations where the children are being kept.

Fox News has learned that 748 unaccompanied minors have been transferred from areas near the border to the Chicago area. Of the original group of 748 kids, 319 have been placed with family members or sponsors while they await an immigration hearing. The other 429 have been placed in facilities run by the Heartland Alliance, a nonprofit organization that receives grants from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., told Fox News Friday that he did not know the exact locations of the facilities where the children were being kept, and stated his belief that the White House did not want the children’s living conditions to be made public.

“My worry is the administration doesn’t want people to know what the condition of these place are or how these kids are being treated in detention,” Kirk said. “Kids can sometimes to be pretty cruel to each other, they don’t want those stories to get out and they don’t want us to know what is going on in these detention facilities. These detention facilities should be completely open to the press and to the American people so that we know how what conditions are, we should be able to talk to the kids who are there.

“I can’t explain the incompetence of the Obama administration,” Kirk said later. “This is a tremendous self-inflicted political wound … This narrative, [that] this is Obama’s Katrina, [is] sticking really hard.”

Photo Credit: Fox News Endless wave of illegal immigrants floods Rio Grande valley

By Jana Winter.

Life jackets of all sizes and the occasional punctured raft are strewn along the banks of the Rio Grande, just south of Mission, Texas, where a relentless onslaught of illegal immigrants eagerly surrender to beleaguered Border Patrol agents around the clock.

It’s a cycle for which there is no end in sight.

“You’re going to be out here a long time,” Fernando, an El Salvadoran child, told FoxNews.com shortly after surrendering to Border Patrol authorities after midnight Saturday. “There are thousands of us.”

With most of the men and women charged with securing the Mexican border busy processing some of the 60,000 illegal immigrants who have made the harrowing – and sometimes deadly -journey to the American border in the past nine months, only a handful of Border Patrol agents drive the riverside loop in a small town called Granjeno just south of Mission, in the Rincon peninsula.

Illegal immigrants of all ages, including many unaccompanied children, run to them to surrender. They are piled into the back of Border Patrol vehicles and taken to a makeshift staging area in Rincon Village, where a large Border Patrol bus waits to transport them to McAllen’s Border Patrol facility.
