Ranchers Told "Look the Other Way or Face the Consequences"

Photo Credit: KRGVRanchers along the Rio Grande say immigrant smugglers threaten them constantly.

One Cameron County rancher said smugglers ordered him to look the other way or face the consequences.

The landowner said smugglers are using trails on his property to bring illegal immigrants into the country.

The rancher said he fears for his safety.

“You don’t see anything; you don’t talk to anybody,” he said.

Buses With Migrant Families Rerouted Amid Protests (+video)

Mayor Alan Long stands before a packed auditorium at Murrieta Mesa High School to talk about what he says is a “very controversial” subject. The audience is filled with those who are upset that migrants are illegally crossing the border in Texas and being flown to Riverside County for processing in, among several places, Murrieta.

He tells those assembled that “Wside you’re on we can agree there must be change.” There is applause. He says the fact is that the Federal Government wants to bring 140 people every 72 hours… indefinitely. And, as he told me earlier at City Hall, that is a concern for the city.

Supervisor Jeff Stone tells the audience “We have a lack of political will to protect our borders which is a Federal responsibility. He says the Federal Government needs to “stop this action of exporting frightened and traumatized women and children from Central American countries for nothing more than satisfying a political agenda.” He says “these are human beings. We do not make border policy. We have a responsibility to make sure those who come into our country are free of communicable diseases. We have always been humanitarian and must provided social services. But, must react in a peaceful and orderly way and, demand the Congress immediately secure our borders. They must enforce current immigration laws.

HHS Bars Congressman from Seeing Immigrant Children

By Joel Gehrke.

A Health and Human Services official refused to allow a member of Congress to enter a facility in his district where some of the unaccompanied immigrant children are being housed.

Representative Jim Bridenstine (R., Okla.) was told he could schedule an appointment for July 21. “What are they trying to hide?” Bridenstine said after the incident. “Do they not want the children to speak with Members of Congress? As a Navy pilot, I have been involved in operations countering illicit human trafficking. I would like to know to whom these children are being released.”

Medical Staff Warned: Keep your Mouths Shut About Illegal Immigrants or Face Arrest

Photo Credit: Fox News By Todd Starnes.

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”

The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.

The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”

Photo Credit: 10NewsControversy awaits as immigrants arrive in SD

By 10News Digital Team.

A plane carrying 140 undocumented immigrants, including lone children, landed at Lindbergh Field in San Diego Tuesday afternoon amid a brewing crisis over a surge of Central Americans crossing the U.S. border to escape poverty and crime in their home countries.

The charter jet from Texas left McAllan International Airport Tuesday morning. The immigrants were set to be bussed to Murrieta, where they would be processed at a Border Patrol office.

Awaiting them in Murrieta will be protesters.

This comes after President Obama in a news conference Monday called the spike in immigrants crossing into the U.S. through Texas a “humanitarian crisis.” On Monday, he asked for more than $2 billion to help with the situation. The president said he will go around Congress and shift resources to the border by the end of summer.

The U.S. is seeing a surge of immigrants from Central America due to rampant crime there, with a large number of those being unaccompanied children who are seeking to join their families.

Protesters Force Buses Carrying Immigrants to Leave Murrieta: Buses Diverted to San Ysidro

Photo Credit: Twitter A group of 140 Central American migrants who entered the United States illegally were flown from Texas to Lindbergh Field on Tuesday and then bused to a U.S. Border Patrol facility in Murrieta, where crowds of angry protesters prompted authorities to take them instead to San Ysidro.

The drivers of the three Department of Homeland Security coaches backed away from the Riverside County USBP facility and got onto southbound Interstate 15 in the late afternoon, re-entering San Diego County about 3:30 p.m.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Lauren Mack declined to disclose where the migrants were being taken, but by late afternoon, the buses were seen pulling into a Customs and Border Protection facility in San Ysidro.

According to Ron Zermeno, who is with the National Border Patrol Council, less than a dozen EMTs were conducting health screenings on the immigrants Tuesday evening. Paramedics are on scene supervising the screenings.

He told 10News two to three children were taken to the hospital for “unknown illnesses.” Their conditions were unknown. Zermeno says they are anticipating more could be taken to the hospital because many are unhealthy.

Boy's Death Highlights Danger of Border Crossings

Photo Credit: APWhen authorities found an 11-year-old Guatemalan boy’s body about a mile from Texas’ southern border, they also discovered his brother’s Chicago phone number scribbled on the inside of his belt buckle.

The boy, wearing “Angry Birds” jeans, black leather boots and a white rosary around his neck, had apparently gotten lost on his way north from his native country and was found about two weeks ago, alone in the brush less than a mile from the nearest U.S. home, a South Texas sheriff said Monday.

While hundreds of immigrants die crossing the border each year, the discovery of Gilberto Francisco Ramos Juarez’s decomposed body in the Rio Grande Valley on June 15 highlights the perils unaccompanied children face as the U.S. government searches for ways to deal with record numbers of children crossing into the country illegally.

“Down here finding a decomposed body … we come across them quite often,” Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra said, adding that this was the first child immigrant his office has found since he became sheriff in April. “It’s a very dangerous journey.”

More than 52,000 unaccompanied children have been apprehended entering the U.S. illegally since October, creating what President Barack Obama has called an “urgent humanitarian situation.” On Monday, Obama asked Congress for more money and additional authority to deal with the surge of youths, mostly from Central America. Obama wants flexibility to speed the youths’ deportations and $2 billion to hire more immigration judges and open more detention facilities.

Bring Obama your Huddled, Illegal Youths; He Invited Them

Photo Credit: Eric GayBy Charles Hurt.

“Death trains” rumbling through Mexico teeming with children, headed for the U.S. border. Teenage girls raped. Unspeakable violence at the hands of ruthless coyotes, carrying out President Obama’s stunningly reckless new foreign policy.

Of course, Mr. Obama did not issue a formal edict inviting each of the tens of thousands of children pouring over the border from Mexico. He didn’t have to. His executive action legalizing underage illegals in the U.S. was all the invitation they needed. And come they did.

At this hot pace, we will have more than a quarter-million orphaned children on the border by the end of next year — each and every one the sole responsibility of Mr. Obama.

Actions have consequences, Mr. President. And executive actions have executive consequences. You are personally responsible for the harrowing condition of every one of these children. You are personally responsible for ripping apart every single one of these families.

Mr. Obama and congressional Democrats have pursued amnesty for illegals hoping for millions of indentured voters — poor new Americans they believe will feel obligated to vote for Democrats for decades to come. Yes, a sick political gambit.

Photo Credit: TownHall GOP Rep: Child Immigration Crisis ‘Has Been in the Making for Years’

By Leah Barkoukis.

Since October, 52,000 unaccompanied children have made the perilous journey to the United States, some suffering psychological or physical abuse in the hands of smugglers, others having been sold into the sex trade. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said at today’s House Committee on Homeland Security hearing that Border Patrol is encountering roughly 350 people crossing into the U.S. per day—an unprecedented influx that patrol stations cannot handle and a problem which shows no signs of abating.

“This is a crisis that has been in the making for years,” Committee Chairman Michael McCaul said during his opening statement. “The Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. government as a whole, has been slow to act, turning a blind eye to the warning signs.”

While there was consensus among committee members that the safety of children comes first in addressing the issue, when it came to identifying the root causes of the problem, Democrats and Republicans were divided.

Republicans, including Chairman McCaul, mostly laid out three factors that have contributed to the problem: Obama’s executive actions like the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, lax enforcement policies, and Congress’ talk of comprehensive immigration reform.

“It is beyond dispute that such a narrative shapes behavior and encourages people to come to our country illegally,” McCaul said. “In fact, newspapers in El Salvador and Honduras seem to be encouraging youth to head to the United States based on these policies. And recent internal DHS surveys of these children reveal that more than 70% believe they are going to stay in the country.”

Study: All Employment Growth Since 2000 Went to Immigrants

Photo Credit: David McNewBy NRO Staff.

According to a major new report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), net employment growth in the United States since 2000 has gone entirely to immigrants, legal and illegal. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, CIS scholars Steven A. Camarota and Karen Zeigler found that there were 127,000 fewer working-age natives holding a job in the first quarter of 2014 than in 2000, while the number of immigrants with a job was 5.7 million above the 2000 level…

Other significant findings include:

Because the native-born population grew significantly, but the number working actually fell, there were 17 million more working-age natives not working in the first quarter of 2014 than in 2000.

The share of natives working or looking for work, referred to as labor force participation, shows the same decline as the employment rate. In fact, labor force participation has continued to decline for working-age natives even after the jobs recovery began in 2010.

Patriots Hotline Founder: We’re Forming a Human Chain to Stop Illegals

By Sean Piccoli.

Militia members and other concerned U.S. citizens are converging on the border town of Laredo, Texas, on Friday to create a blockade against illegal immigrants crossing into the United States, the organizer of the human chain and protest said on Newsmax TV’s “MidPoint.”

“This will continue for days and weeks to come” and spread “to other points” along the U.S.-Mexico frontier, Barbie Rogers, founder of the Patriots Information Hotline, said in a telephone interview.

Rogers declined to give an exact head count beyond “more than 50 people” or reveal whether participants are armed, citing worries about their security.

But she said blockaders will follow the same rules of engagement as protesters in an April standoff between federal officials and Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

“Just like at the Bundy ranch, there will be no patriot out there on that line that will fire first,” Rogers said.

40 Million Immigrants Now Live in USA!

Photo Credit: Shutterstock / JanetAlright, here are the facts: The United States has over 40 million immigrants and the U.S. Census Bureau projected that there will be no single racial or ethnic group will constitute a majority of children under 18 and in three decades, no single ethnic group will be a majority in the country.

And of the American population, there are almost 52 million Hispanics/Latinos in America and the Hispanic/Latino community is the fastest growing minority group in the United States. As such, the Latino influence in the United States is undeniable — Latinos buy 25 percent of all movie tickets in the United States and The NPD Group found that Latinos will be changing food culture in America and according to the Selig Center for Economic Growth, the purchasing power of Hispanics in 2012 was $1.2 trillion.

Child Immigrants Can Legally Stay in the US for Years

Photo Credit: AP / Ross D. Franklin, PoolThousands of immigrant children fleeing poverty and violence in Central America to cross alone into the United States can live in American cities, attend public schools and possibly work here for years without consequences.

The chief reasons are an overburdened, deeply flawed system of immigration courts and a 2002 law intended to protect children’s welfare, an Associated Press investigation finds.

Driving the dramatic increases in these immigrants is the recognition throughout Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador that children who make the dangerous trip can effectively remain in the U.S. for years before facing even a moderate risk of deportation.

Pro-Bono Lawyers: Most Unaccompanied Border Children Eligible for Amnesty

Photo Credit: Breitbart As more and more unaccompanied alien children (UACs) from Central America have poured into south Texas—and subsequently transferred to Border Patrol facilities elsewhere along the border—US government officials are scrambling to find places to put them. However, based on current immigration and asylum laws, the vast majority of those children could be legally staying right here in the United States before long.

Under the authority of the Homeland Security Act, the federal government transfers custody of illegal immigrant children who are apprehended alone at our borders to the Department of Health and Human Service’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). The ORR’s primary goal is to reunite them with a family member or legal guardian already here in the US (regardless of their legal status) while the child goes through removal proceedings. As Breitbart Texas recently reported, UACs receive a bevy of assistance while in ORR custody, including classroom education, health care, socialization/recreation, vocational training, mental health services, family reunification, access to legal services, and case management. In many cases, they are treated better than US citizen children currently in the foster care system.

The most valuable of all those benefits is the legal assistance. ORR has an outreach program to connect immigration attorneys willing to work on a pro-bono basis with UACs as they go through removal proceedings. For adult illegal immigrants facing deportation or applying for a status adjustment through avenues like asylum or cancellation of removal, finding a pro-bono attorney is next to impossible, and even lower-priced immigration attorneys are financially out of reach for cash-strapped applicants. But in the case of UACs, there is a program designed specifically to help just them, as well as unaccompanied refugee minors.

The pro-bono attorneys who volunteer to help these children aren’t bottom-of-the-barrel lawyers, either; some of them work for very prestigious firms in different parts of the country. One such organization that provides pro-bono legal services for UACs is The Safe Passage Project. Their “attorneys of the week” list highlighted on their main page included a litigator who has practiced multiple areas of law, including Immigration, Foreclosure, Personal Injury, and Real Estate, for seven years and established her own law firm on Wall Street.
